As of November 2026, contact distribution has been mentioned in one podcast episode on Institute for Advanced Study (Dec 2025). In the episode "Invariant Distances on Legendrian Spaces," Pierre-Alexandre Arlove discusses contact distribution as a key concept in contact geometry. He explains that it is fundamental to defining contact manifolds and notes that the contact distribution is derived from the maximum subspace of the tangent space of the sphere and descends to the real projective space.
