Fanon

Type: Concept

As of November 2026, Fanon has been mentioned in one podcast episode on The Ezra Klein Show (Sep 2025). Mentioned as an intellectual figure invoked by Shapiro to describe anti-colonial or decolonial thought that he associates with scavenger-type ideology.

Frantz Omar Fanon was an Algerian psychiatrist and political philosopher, who made critical contributions to the fields of post-colonial studies and critical theory. As well as an intellectual, Fanon was a political radical and Pan-Africanist, concerned with the psychopathology of colonization and the human, social, and cultural consequences of decolonization.
