conduit just kind of remixed it a little bit super old 5 years old or so all right so recommendations so first of all uh some movies I actually wanted to do this in the other order where's my slideshow way out of order there we go uh Oculus one of my favorite horror movies of all time um directed by Mike Flanigan I went to see this in theaters uh this was like right maybe a year or two after Insidious and James Juan kind of blew my mind up with with horror movies um and horror really felt fresh for the first time in my lifetime um because before that before the whole Blum House thing which really started with Paranormal Activity but I think took off with Insidious um there was just like Jore which is pretty great but there's only a couple good American remakes of jorr that was the trend at the time in the early 2000s when I first started watching horror movies and then um torture porn which your mileage varies there's like

the Saw movies those are good um but blumhouse came in with uh Paranormal Activity then Insidious and then not long after was oculus somewhere in there was Sinister as well but Oculus classic Haunted House movie and it does one of my favorite things that horror movies do in general where you have characters in a haunted house the audience is watching they're going to say hey why don't these characters just leave the house and in this movie they can't the mirror is actually what's haunting them not the house but uh the mirror is keeping them sort of psychologically trapped in the house psychically trapped in the house um and so this is directed by Mike Flanigan and he wrote this movie he wrote the screenplay for Oculus because he couldn't adapt he couldn't get the rights to adapt 1408 by Stephen King um which was later uh after he tried to adapt it himself um was later made into a movie staring John

qac and Samuel Jackson which kind of bombed I think I don't know it kind of came and went and um it was it came out in that weird time period between like Jore and the blumhouse era of horror and it was kind of like a misfit um in that time period uh but pretty great little haunted Hotel horror movie written by Stephen King based on a short story by Stephen King um the king of haunted hotels um because of The Shining um so check that one out as well and then a podcast folklands this is hosted by Tim Downey and uh Jason chub I think it's Jason maybe Jacob um it is an English podcast uh as in British and U basically it's about these two guys Love of All Things folk horror and British horror and spooky stuff and hauntings and um what what would you say uh like Cryptids stuff like that and folktales and so these guys go around um uh the UK pretty much I think it's almost entirely all in the

UK and explore weird mysterious locations tunnels uh one really great episode they go to the uh hell fire Club tunnels um I forget the exact location where that is but it's a really chill spooky podcast so it's like it's almost like a Travel Channel documentary in podcast form but much more informative than you would get on something like the Travel Channel um not really like a ghost hunting show or anything like that it's just these two guys kind of talking about the spooky stuff they love and then go into these spooky locations so check out folklands and uh Tim Downey he's an actor he's one of the hosts he's in the show uh Toast of London the Matt Barry show he's one of the two guys in the sound booth uh not Clen Fandango if you've seen the show it's the other guy that's Tim Downey all right let's get into some games though yeah I'm uh jealous of how ancient the UK is how ancient England is

um we do have some history some spooky history in the states um going back to like the witch trials in the 1600s stuff like that um but we don't have castles we don't really have like druidic tunnels and stuff like that over here um we do have which trials though all right so first we're going to start out with I hope a short game let's get going and hopefully this game does not have any copyright

had an issue the victim called roadside assistance while a mimic was hiding behind a bush that thing was probably one of the big ones there's a huge footprint in front of the car she didn't have a chance how old is this victim 37 years old Accord according to her ID is this area known for mimic activity no not at all but it seems then why do you know everything about them but it seems like they're expanding their territory I bet the eer is still close probably somewhere in the woods digesting her you're sent to take care of it yes that's why I probably should have switched the voices cuz I sound like the cool Monster Hunter guy um and he is just a cop yes that's why I'm here I'm tasked with finding and neutralizing it I'll drive around the area and ask if someone has seen something suspicious sounds like a plan you have a map of the area on your laptop right yes I have a map this is so much

dialogue sounds good if you want you can take a look at the crime scene yourself in case I missed anything we'll do see you back at the station stay safe okay wow lot of dialogue let's look at this stuff a lot of blood not a single piece of Flesh I've switched the voices now the gruff voices now me blood no flesh the handbag the victim nothing was stolen the victim's car staying inside would have been safer yeah from uh is that Law and Order cigarette is still warm looks like this was the victim's last one I should have done it there that would have been the The Who time that's a huge footprint probably belongs to I missed what it said probably was important all right now what drive around I looked at everything right let's get cooking what up Will that Sig was lit that Siggy on the ground was still lit yo that Sig is lit
