2:26 fall to Halloween time that's when I started listening to it for the first time uh okay movies um the empty man this is based on a Loosely based on a comic book series um this is directed by David prior um who was a protege of David Fincher director of such films as Fight Club The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo gong girl uh seven as well um the empty man is at first glance a sort of teen Supernatural slasher film at Second Glance it is not that at all it is much more lovecraftian much more of a supernatural mystery per se um it's very ethereal very headyy and very spooky there's some really great just straight up scare scenes in it um if you check it out it starts out with about half an hour of how do I describe this it's almost like a whole half hour short film at the beginning of the movie before it cuts to the main character and you don't go back to that original setting uh in that first half hour or those
