The 3rd "Annual" Howdie Awards (Part 1)
The third annual Howdie Awards celebrate standout moments from the nine-year history of the "How Did This Get Made" podcast, with hosts Tall John Sheer, Jason Mantzoukas, and June Diane Raphael reflecting on their journey and the podcast's impact over the years. The hosts humorously address the irregularity of the awards, engaging in light-hearted banter about the passage of time and the shifting landscape since the awards were last held.
Key Takeaways
- Third Howdies? More like bi-decadal surprise reunion—missing few years when children were born. Procreation takes precedence!
- Geek Squad: Not just tech savants; they're bridging the past and future, potentially in abandoned Best Buys.
- Annual Howdy Awards? Think of them as sporadic podcasts’ Oscars, selected whimsically, time and patience be damned.
- Jenna Ortega among Geek Squad elite—played a boomer icon? You're practically royalty in tech circles.
- From Sarah Michelle Gellar to Sylvester Stallone: 237 episodes worth of unvoted-best moments. Arbitrary, chaotic, yet oddly charming.
