back in 2012 you could create an infinite obsidian Farm a system to make this was using a standard cobblestone generator and then placing in a piece of redstone dust with a cobblestone to form however this understandably got patched out of 1.8 but it's still possible to get infinite obsidian now all you need is wither and a whole bunch of Nether Portals there's a misconception that obsidian can't be broken by hand however this is not true in this case it takes 4 minutes and 10 seconds to destroy it however if you break it by hand it won't fall out because it can only be mined with the diamond pickaxe but why would anyone mind obsidian by hand that would be a total nightmare did you know that the workbench in the Minecraft world can be used as a compass on its northern part there will always be a texture with a saw and a hammer regardless of the position of the player at the time the block is placed in the earliest versions
of the game skeletons had a small chance to drop a quiver he was allowed to shoot from a bow without wasting arrows this item was soon removed and the infinity enchantment was added with the same effect everybody knows that when one of the best ways to travel by water is using a bow but did you know that you can add a sail to the boat by placing a trap door in the water with a banner on top you can also customize your banner sale however you want ten years ago stairs used to be so much more annoying since if you even went up to them a little it would force you to walk all the way up the stairs it seemed like Mojang noticed how annoying this was because that was quickly changed though not until the update 1.5 if you ever wanted to build a bubble elevator use ice pillar up to the top by placing ice above a soul sand block and then mine it with a non-silk touch pickaxe on the way back down then when you reach the bottom
all of the ice will become water and you can fly right back to the top have you ever noticed that mobs can't easily jump on honey blocks if you were to put a villager inside a compost or a cauldron with a honey block underneath they won't be able to jump out so now you can be sure that that villager with a mending book won't run away if you have three dirt blocks it's possible to trade that up to an emerald you can do that by easily turning dirt into mud by using a water bottle and then you need to dry it out on a drip Stone rack to get yourself your very own clay blocks you can trade it with a stone Mason to get yourself an emerald it's not exactly the fastest trade method but it does work well and now let's talk about the invisible bedrock paves much like the barrier block except it is exclusive to the Bedrock edition of Minecraft it was originally used in the game to create World boundaries
around Old Worlds but those World boundaries didn't go past World height so if you build high enough you could walk over it did you know that by spilling out lava you can make large areas of water into stone this can even be done without needing any little bit of silk touch the amount of blocks that you can place with just one bucket of lava has proven to be efficient but be careful because if you place the lava in the water it'll turn into obsidian everybody likes mine cart roller coasters but they are pretty expensive to build however there is a much cheaper way of building them you need to use a bubble column and a bit of scaffolding sure enough the mine cart and the person riding it are counted as an entity so you'll shoot right to the top then you'll need to play scaffolding right at the top so it can catch you and the minecart have you ever tried sleeping underwater because you definitely can if
you swim down to the bottom of the nearest lake and place your bed you'll be able to sleep just the same better yet the floating mobs won't be able to chase after you because they'll still be too slow when morning comes you can get out of the water and watch the mobs burn while you're safe most people use obsidian to explosion proof they're built but there is an easier way to try using leaves because you can protect your building by water logging them as that makes them completely blast proof before the Aquatic update in 1.13 any items that you threw into the water would all float down to the bottom of the ocean floor but nowadays they all float up to the surface in Bob in place it's really helpful because oceans used to be so much darker so if you lost your stuff down there it was pretty much gone for good you know how how they say A chicken can keep running around with its head cut off well the same thing kind of
happens in Minecraft if you kill a chicken and it falls off the cliff its corpse would fall slower than any other and it will still flap its wings after dying it's actually kind of creepy isn't it if you want to feed some axolotls you need to have a bucket of tropical fish because it is the only thing they like to eat if you try to feed them tropical fish items they won't eat it because axolotls in real life eat only living fish that's why they will only follow you into battle if you have a bucket of tropical fish Mojang over the years has made several huge changes to the textures we know but some old ones still stick around when you find a fisherman you'll notice the blue of the old fish texture laid out on the bottom of their clothes however head artist Jasper has said that it was done intentionally a prime piece of TNT is a worrying sight but if you have an anvil you can overlap it onto the same block as the TNT entity
the TNT will explode inside of the Anvil and because an anvil has a high blast resistance no nearby blocks will be destroyed there are a lot of videos of people pitching their different features to Mojang now while those usually go unanswered there is the rare occasion where that worked terracotta blocks also known as hardened clay were added because blame TC suggested it to dinnerbone back in 2012 skis were added to the game but you couldn't actually use them on Christmas Eve dinnerbone sent out a tweet about the skis but afterwards stated that their addition had just been a joke and at the time there was no plan to implement such a feature there is already Minecraft and VR but there used to be VR in Minecraft an April Fool's update added reality vision goggles that made signs look like this and added a huge hologram right in front of your eyes they also added a smarter watch that showed the time above the hot
bar paintings in the game have been there for 11 years but there were four paintings in the Bedrock update that never made it into the final game these four paintings were called earth water fire and wind but you can't get any of them anymore everyone knows that horse armor is great whether it's gold iron or Diamond at least one of them can be found in a desert temple chest however it is actually possible to find all three of the horse armors together in the same chest there is a one in a million chance for all three types to generate in the same chest when you need to find some food or some wool you'll try to find some sheep most likely you'll encounter white sheep but you can also uncommonly find black gray and brown sheep however you can also encounter the infamous pink sheep there is about a 0.2 percent chance for a pink sheep to spawn and a 0.008 chance for a baby pink sheep to spawn naturally so if
you found one you need to know that you are really lucky did you know that trees have a five percent chance to drop their sapling as well as a 0.5 chance to drop an apple drop a sapling and an apple at the same time there is a 0.003 chance of this happening if you found a mushroom biome you'll most likely find some mooshrooms also known as the red cows but did you know that to find a brown mushroom a red mushroom needs to be struck by lightning which is a very rare event another way of encountering a brown mushroom is by breeding it but there's only a 1 in 1024 chance for the baby Mooshroom to be the Brown Bearing now let's dive into the mysterious end world back in the day the end Dimension used to look like a mess the obsinian pillars that would spawn there were scattered and unorganized now with the Ring of pillars it looks so much better a very interesting character in Minecraft is the Enderman
the speech of this creature is almost incomprehensible to the human ear but most of the things it says are actually English words and phrases they're just being played in Reverse if you reverse them again they turn into the original recorded sounds take a listen yeah you might be able to hear Haya hear this way forever and what's up have you ever tried to hit an Enderman with an arrow I bet you did but unfortunately the Enderman can't be hit by an arrow from a bow a snowball or even an egg you can't drop an anvil on it either however if you shoot him with an arrow with an effect then even though the arrow doesn't hit the mob he'll still receive the effect when you go to fight an Ender Dragon you know you gotta use the end portal as you also probably know the end portal frame has to be filled with the Eyes of Ender but each time you go some of them are already filled in in actuality there is a one in a trillion
chance that all of the frames will be filled and the portal will already be activated by the time you find it nowadays when you meet an Enderman you're used to his purple eyes and black smoke that he emits back in beta our friend of the Enderman used to have green eyes instead of purple but still emitted the black smoke and now let's take a scary trip to the Nether Minecraft gas are actually more cats not ghosts according to the producer of music tracks and Minecraft c41a he confirmed that the sounds of guests came from his pet cats who made the noises when they were Disturbed while sleeping did you know that back in the day zombie piglens used to look like this they had exposed red flesh in their texture and didn't hold any kind of weapon but that version of the piglet never made it into the game and they were changed to a green color before its release zombie piglin wasn't the only nether mob that got a makeover either
blazes originally had no eyes during development but according to Mojang they looked more like rocks than a mob and that's why the eyes were added oh and this next video has more interesting facts you probably didn't know
