What this episode is about

The content focuses on Donald Trump's troubling morning as he reacts to a series of high-profile world and business leaders facing legal troubles or resignations following the release of the Epstein files. Amidst these developments, Trump's approval rating remains low at 36%, highlighting a growing sense of turmoil both domestically and internationally, especially among leaders who have previously aligned with him.

Key takeaways

  • As political titans tumble, Trump's 36% approval feels like a rickety lifeboat in a stormy sea.
  • When world leaders resign en masse, it’s not just scandal; it’s a cautionary tale about the company you keep.
  • Trump might be safe for now, but with 29% believing the country’s on track, even the lifeboat could sink.
  • With Epstein's connections unraveling, Trump's cabal might be the last non-leaky ship in a sinking fleet.
  • In a world where 36% approval feels like winning the slowest race, Trump's camp may soon need life jackets.

Donald Trump is having a disastrous morning as world leaders, business leaders are collapsing with the release of the Epstein files. They're either being charged, they're resigning, they are being forced out and disgraced, except in the Trump cabal in the White House, but the walls are closing in. Just a quick reminder, make sure you hit subscribe right now. We're on our way to 6 million subscribers. You may think you're subscribed, but you may not actually be subscribed. So, double check. I want to try to get there in February. The first thing I want to note as Donald Trump is panicking this morning. Is the new AP Norc poll. Donald Trump's approval right now in this country is only 36%. Only 34% of Americans say the economy is good. 29% of Americans say the country is heading in the right direction. I guess the only positive for Donald Trump is that he's four percentage points higher than JD

Vance. JD Vance approval is 32%. But let's talk about some of the world leaders, many of them who are friends with Donald Trump who are either resigning, being charged, being forced out. Let's just go through this one by one. The head of the Dubai based logistics group DP, the Sultan who talked about torture videos with Jeffrey Epstein. Bye-bye Sultan. See you later. We have Prime Minister Thorban Joglin, former Prime Minister of Norway. He has been charged with aggravated corruption. Bye-bye. See you later. And he was the one who was talking to Epstein about uh having meetings with Sergey Lavrov uh before uh Donald Trump met with Putin.

Goldman Sachs general counsel Katherine Rumler all over the Epstein files giving advice to Epstein, friends with Epstein. Goodbye. See you later. Peter Mandelen, former British ambassador to the US. He lost the ambassadorship role. He's now under criminal investigation in the UK. Mandlesson, bye-bye. You're disgusting. King Charles III, of course, as you know, stripped Prince Andrew of all of his titles. You're no longer a prince. You're Andrew. You're disgraced. See you later. You're disgusting. Bye-bye. Larry Summers, former US Secretary of Treasury, stepped down from the board of Open AI after the release of the files.

I should say it's a partial release of the files. Let me be clear about that because the Trump regime, one, unlawfully redacted a lot in the files. So, there's still a lot we don't know, especially about Donald Trump. And then there's a lot of uh unredacted files that they're not producing and they're claiming are subject to uh privileges. Brad Karp, the former law firm executive who ran Paul Weiss, the first firm to capitulate to Donald Trump and bend the knee and enter into a massive settlement when people were like, "Why would Paul Weiss do that?" Karp was in the Epstein files. He stepped down. Bye-bye. And you're a sellout for what you did in reaching that settlement with Donald Trump. George Mitchell, former Maine senator, resigned from his position as honorary chair of the Mitchell Institute over his ties with Epstein and the institute is now considering a name change. Bye-bye. Mona Juel, Norwegian

ambassador to Jordan and Iraq, stepped down due to her interactions with Epstein. She's married to a fellow Norwegian diplomat and close Epstein associate, Terrode Larson, and the foreign ministry has launched a review into them. Merculav Larjac, the former Slovakian national security adviser, resigned over his disgusting text messages with Epstein. Peter Atia, author, longevity expert, resigned as chief science officer of David Protein. And there are reports now that CBS is looking into him. He was one of Barry Weiss's new big hires. But Barry Weiss doesn't want to cave to the woke mob.

You know that woke mob that doesn't like people with Epstein associations. The woke mob. Don't hang out with Epstein. Okay. Uh former Whitney chief resigns from art school after Epstein release. David Ross, art museum curator. Bye-bye. Jack Lang, former French culture minister, resigned as head of Paris's Arab World Institute and was summoned to the Foreign Ministry to explain his ties to Epstein. His daughter, French film producer Caroline Lang, also resigned as head of France's Union of Independent Producers after emails showed she had founded an offshore company with Epstein in 2016. Bye-bye. Dean Cayman, Segue inventor, on leave of absence from the board of a robotics organization first over his ties with Epstein, which apparently included a visit to the island. Okay, we get the point, right?

One after one after one, the people who are in these emails are resigning, are being criminally investigated. And the people who are in the emails the most are Trump and his cabal. Donald Trump, Peter Teal, Howard Lutnik, that that's the that's the crew. That's where the cabal is is at. So when Donald Trump was asked about, okay, well, what about Secretary Lutnik bringing his little children to the island after Letic stated that this is that this is a bad guy who engages in horrible conduct. Are you cool with your commerce secretary going to Epstein Island? That's just that's just normal in the regime. The Trump regime is cool with that. Remember what Donald Trump said? Play this clip.

Yeah, please. Mr. President, were you aware that Secretary of Commerce visited Epstein's island? Do you continue to have

No, I wasn't aware of it. No, I didn't. I actually haven't spoken to him about it. I wasn't. But from what I hear, he was there with his wife and children. And I guess in some cases, some people were. I wasn't. I was never there. Somebody will someday say that I was never there. Uh yeah, please. this announcement,

but I will tell you who the regime did fire and with all the Trump stuff, stuff like this may may goes unnoticed, but the US antirust chief Gail Slater was fired from the Justice Department. She resigned, but she was forced out. Here's how it's being reported by our friends at the Guardian. Gail Slater, the head of the US Justice Department's antirust division, was forced out of the Trump administration on Thursday after a turbulent tenure and months of simmering tensions with senior cabinet officials. She says it's with great sadness I'm resigning as the head of the antirust division. and she got into a fight with Pam Bondi and others in the Trump regime um because she was somewhat enforcing antirust laws and blocking some mergers that she thought were anti- were antirust violations. By the way, I mean, she was someone who J. D. Vance liked and Trump liked and so she was not fully enforcing antirust laws, but the fact

that she did even a cintilla of it in egregious examples, that was enough to say she needs to go because the lobbyists and the Trump business groups and the oligarchs, they need to not have antirust laws uh uh enforced against them. It talks about here how the decision is a victory for Bondi and a clutch of Donald Trump lobbyists who grew increasingly frustrated with Slater last summer when she sought to block a $14 billion merger between Ullet Packard Enterprise and Juniper Networks, a cloud computing and software company. It says supporters of Slater portrayed her as an antirust purist, deeply skeptical of Trump allies and lobbyists, but her skepticism of corporate mergers led critics to allege she was more interested in advancing her own agenda than the businessfriendly stance of the administration. By her own agenda, do you mean what you're supposed to do when you head the antirust division of the uh

of the Department of Justice, which is to enforce antirust law? Okay. But what but what do I know? Um but what Donald Trump does care about are people like this James Gretch, CEO of one of the world's largest oil companies. The guy James Gretch gives Donald Trump a trophy as the king of coal. You are you are the champion of clean call. So take your clean call champion trophy. And as Senator Andy Kim explains, the day after this event with Trump, the EPA announced they would no longer regulate poisonous greenhouse gas emissions and no longer support the endangerment finding. So we're you see what's happening here. Just play the clip so you can see how ridiculous it look. sort of to show to show our appreciation. The uh trophy says the undisputed champion of beautiful clean cold. Thank you.

Okay. Then you have Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant this morning saying that 2026 is a banquet for the American people. Our economy is a rocket ship, he says. And this is the banquet that we're all getting here. Play this clip.

I I think, as I've said many times, 2025 is about setting the table. 2026 is going to be a a banquet for the American people. The economy is taking off. We saw 40,000 new construction jobs. Everyone says to me, "Oh, where are these factory jobs that you planned?" And unlike what you and I see in the financial market, you can't push a button and build a factory. There's lead time. But what we are seeing is big big commitments to these factories are going to be built first. We'll get the construction jobs and then the factory jobs are going to come. So I think we're going to see the tremendous groundbreings. I think we're going to see a lot of factory completions this year. You get people like EPA administrator Lee Zeldon, who this morning once again says that climate change is a hoax. Anyone who believes that climate change harms the planet or could hurt health is wrong. He says that the endangerment finding was a hoax.

Greenhouse gas and climate change doesn't endanger anybody. He says here, play this clip.

You believe that the talk of climate change is a hoax? when you're putting forth tens of billions of dollars to pay off your well-connected former Obama Obama and Biden admin officials and Democratic donors wasting taxpayer dollars. Yeah, that's a problem. Trillions of dollars of regulation and costs on American families. That's a big problem. It it has been a conj job of using this for more power and control. You know, for example, they they they push environmental justice. They appropriate a dollar and rather than remediating an environmental issue with it. They want to spend a dollar on an activist group to train other activists to come be activists and advocate in DC to get more money so that they could advocate like you try to wrap your head around the way the money's wasted.

Uh these waters run deep. That's what I take from all this. Sir, thank you. Yes, the gaslighting is like that. And by the way, just take a look right here on the left. This is 9 East 71st Street. Epstein's house on the right, 11 East E71st Street, Howard Lutnik's house. They were both owned by Leslie Wexner, who's all over the Epstein files. They were both purchased in 1998. They were neighbors for 21 years, as this, the count says, but I digress. And then, of course, you have RFK Jr. bragging about the things that, you know, the American people really care about. Sniffing cocaine off of toilet bowls is what he's bragging about. Oh, you're so cool, RFK.

You sniff cocaine off of toilet bowls. That's what the American people who are who are suffering right now want what a cool guy, man. He's so edgy. He sniffs coke off of toilet bowls. Here, play this clip.

And I said, I'm not scared of a germ. You know, I used to snort cocaine off of toilet seats. And yeah, I know this disease will kill me, right? If I don't. There you have it, everybody. Let me know what you think. Hit subscribe. Let's get to 6 million. Seriously, try hit subscribe. I I want to try I want to try to hit 6 million this month. Thanks everybody. Have a good one.
