It's winter storing time. Unfortunately, we can't move either of the vanies because they don't work. PT's car also now running. Also, PFT's car broken. We're basically just playing Jenga.
Yeah, we're that this is a puzzle game. This is This has nothing to do with automotive anymore. This is all puzzle. And hopefully no one needs to get into that storage because the pan All right. So, pop off the brake right there. Rob, turn a little left. Other left.
There you go. Just said he does this all the time, which is just not true. There's no way he has encountered this. He lies straight to our face.
Yeah. Um, but in like an endearing way like don't worry, don't sweat it, fellas. We play we play uh Chevy Jenga all the time. We're in a good spot, boys.
We're in a great spot. We're triple parked that pod. I mean, if anyone need Yeah. Hey, that's a great point, Donald. This is No one's getting that storage.
What if we do like a payment plan? No, we can't do like a hundred bucks a week.
No, we're not. The commenter always pays his bets. How the Dodgers. It's such a ridiculous bet he has to pay.
I think it was like 3 years ago. Hank and I were on grit week. I think we're on some sort of trip and we were hanging out in a hotel lobby and we we made a bet because we were talking [ __ ] to each other. The Patriots stunk at the time. I was optimistic because I think it's right after Dan Snyder might have sold the team. So, we made a bet that the Patriots would not get back to another Super Bowl in the next five seasons. I bet him $50,000 to his 20,000. I thought this was the easiest money ever. Everyone in that lobby was like, "Hank, you're an idiot.
What are you doing?" Like, M. Jones looked like dog [ __ ] Bellich check looked like he was lost on the sidelines. It was the best. It's still a good bet. If I had to do it again, knowing what I know now, I'd do it. Well, that actually that'd be really stupid if I knowing what I know now. It was a good bet. The point is it was a good bet. Um, but I should have known better than to go up against New England and whatever voodoo [ __ ] Hank's got going on. So, he's going to just continue to win and I've kind of accepted that this week and just kind of prepare myself. It's not really like the money is it's a lot of money, don't get me wrong. 50 grand is a lot of money.
Um, but it's more about giving it to Hank that I have a real problem with, especially the fact that he owes me $10,000. So, you know, I I'm not like Hank, though. I'm going to pay my bet. I'm going to pay it on time, on schedule, and I'm not going to make him hound me down for it. So, I I'm a man of my word. A commenter always pays his bets is what I say. I have been trying to figure out the most inconvenient ways to pay Hank. Uh I'm not saying I'm going to be a gentleman about it. I I called up the bank first week of January and I was like, "Hey, how much how much time would you need to get me $50,000 in quarters?" and and they called me back and they said they can't do it anymore because they the vault isn't big enough to hold that many quarters and it weighs like tons. I forget how much it was going to weigh, but it was it was over a ton. Uh so then I pivoted to like maybe I'll just do $1 bills and just make it
really inconvenient for him. Maybe I'll rent one of those big like cyclone machines and just put all the money in there and put a lock on it and Hank can only get the money out when I unlock it and let him in. and he has to just catch he has to catch the money like one bill at a time. I was also thinking about getting like I don't know a box of bees and then just putting all the money in into the B box or like some sort of a poisonous snake. That's probably too far. The venomous snakes. I thought about burying it somewhere in Chicago and then giving him a treasure map to find it with clues.
Somebody else might find it ahead of time. That would be kind of funny. Uh, I thought about locking it up in a suitcase with like a million different padlocks that he has to figure out the combinations for. Um, thought about hiding it in the office somewhere. I thought about buying him like treasury bills cuz then he'd have to figure out how to cash those. I thought about uh getting him different denominations of currency that he'd have to go exchange. Uh, I did think about pennies, too, with the penny rip. where we're at right now, I think the Cyclone idea is probably the the top top of the ladder. And we'll see how long it takes him to grab $50,000 $1 bills. Also, Hank's doing this [ __ ] where he's like, "Oh, you I got my eye on you, dog." He's like saying, "If uh if the Patriots win, he's going to put something on sale to counteract the the Hank dog toy." Which, by the way, Hank Hank should be complimented. That should
be the the highest praise that so many people wanted to buy the Hank dog toy. It's a great toy. And so I'm sure Hank's got some probably playing off the fact that he thinks I'm short. I'm perfectly average height, 5'8 and a half. Um, it's probably some sort of gnome or some sort of uh a troll doll would be funny actually. He turned me into a troll doll, but Hank's dumb, so he probably didn't think about that. So he probably just went with a gnome or some stupid [ __ ] like that. But yeah, so yeah, I'm I'm emotional. I'm testy. I just want Sunday to get here and we're all on board the itty bitty steady committee.
Go Jared. What's up? Uh so pre previously me and Dom were we put ourselves in a situation to where these vehicles do not currently run and we stacked them all together. They now need to use this space and some of these vehicles need to be driven. So today we're going to give new life to the batteries in these Chevrolets or to the best of our ability attempt it and hopefully not blow us up or the vehicles. There's only one way the jump box can go on and that's the correct way and that's what we're here to do today.
We're correctly jumping several vans and a truck car hybrid. Is your car not starting? Is it clicking?
We're in a good spot. We're in a good spot. Lights come on but nothing happens also. Yes.
This is how you do it. First you want to plug the red one product right here and the black one right here.
Black to ground. The power is done. Just press power. Just start right up. I hope it is that easy.
That was so easy. That was so easy. Where we at here? Latch. We got a latch here somewhere. Can we make it in there?
I got flashlight. You're close. Get through there. You're on it. All right. We have our uh thing.
Uh should be up maybe up top. Oh, bang. Drop. All right. Good. So, we're we're looking for battery here.
Battery. Batteries here. Okay. We were watching a video on like a Camry. This is not a Camry.
Lot of metal. Lot of Yeah. Well, that would be fine. That That just means more ground.
You want to do the honors? I can do that for you. Wait. I'm pretty sure we just pinch and pinch right?
Yeah. That's it. Yeah. We're just two. Should I have the key in the ignition beforehand?
No. I think Let's just say no. Should one do you want me to hook up and then you foot on brake just in case?
That would wait, what? This is going to stay parked like this, right? No matter what we do in this engine bay.
Yeah, it's parked now, so we're good. Forget I said anything. You're right. All right. I'm just I'm just terrified of us getting
pinched. I think pinching is the the least of our issues. I know, but it would be the worst of our existence cuz then we get pinched, the car gets wrecked. We know we not only our prior our tenure here is done. We're also
This says start a vehicle within 60 seconds. Definitely been taught this several times.
I've held the flashlight for this numerous times and it absorbed none of the information I was retaining.
No. Yeah. We're just using the box. So, we go red to positive and then black to negative.
That's what's messing me up. I usually have another car here. Yeah. So, you're usually do in a duo situation. Solos.
What if it just started though? Like Oh, I love that idea. Yeah. Just a raw dog start.
What a world. Are we that lucky though? No, we're not. All right. One time it will be so sick.
Yeah. All right. We were never going to get that lucky. Worth the shot. Definitely do not touch any metal.
Uh, got you. Well, we have to hook it up to metal, right? You know what I mean? You're talking about me being grounded. Like you I mean you just don't want
I mean word like you're fine. You're fine. Yeah. Remember you got to I got to say that one more time. This is a safe space. We can no dumb questions. What were we saying?
You got to connect red first. Oh, right. Yeah. Red first and then black. That's what we read in our instruction.
Yes. I got a bad feeling about this. No, that's fine. Speak freely, dude. What What's a bad thing?
I just We got a lot of things touching. Usually I don't let anything touch when I just have the cords and the the other car.
Do we got a lot of things touching? Do you want to hold box and I hold Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. What do you mean? So what? Give me a a walk through of what you're about to do.
So this is what this is what I'm thinking. Let Shoot me down at any point for safety.
Yeah. We're going to take this red cord. We're going to hook it up to that red terminal. Right.
Yeah. I mean, nothing's going on right now. We got no power. No, I know. All right. Good. All right. Then we're going to hook up this black cord to the black terminal in the back.
Yeah. The ground. Yeah. Then once we're fully clamped, we're going to hit power. This box is going to make a little [ __ ] noise. Like what was it?
Right. A little click and then this is going to light up green after we turn it on.
Yes. And then once it's green, we start Vandy. Then we start Vandy. Yes. That sounds way too easy, but let's give it a shot.
I agree. All right. Are you going to be able to maneuver back there? No, I'm man. That's a good See, the question here is how much space we're giving oursel to get back there
now that we're Zach. This looks very questionable. I'm not left-handed, dude. On my end or just the situation?
You are left-handed? I'm left-handed. Okay, you got to go in left here. Go. Go that way. And then we'll do a left-handed assist. Do you see how you can't get in there with the right?
Oh [ __ ] That's not good. Yeah, I agree, dude. We're on the same page. He just wants to keep doing that.
Yeah, I know. Yeah, we got t We're dealing with tiny terminals. We're good. We're good.
Questionably on. Questionably on. Okay, I can give you a little more space like this.
Oh my. That's what keeps h that's all right. Hold this. Hold this. Yep. I've been here before.
We're good. We're good. Yeah, we're we're in a good spot. That is on firm. How much space you need?
Need the You're shining light on top of the hood. So, this one is on. Question mark. Like, it's not really on.
Fake on. I think it's on. Good enough. Okay, good enough. All right. I haven't touched anything. My feet are on. No metal. My hands on the box underneath. Questionable choice.
All right. I think you got to press the button. I'm going to push. But as as soon as you press that and those things pop off,
you got to turn it off. Say that one more time. If you press that, you're going to pop off.
No, no, no. I'm saying if you it something accidentally slips off, those will be live off.
Yeah, it'll be hot. Yeah. So, you feel good about the job you just clicked, right?
I feel good without movement. Okay. All right. I'm Yes. Okay. Yeah. I mean, yeah. So, I'm going to hit power in outdoor
and we got 60 seconds once we hear what was the noise. So, I stand here for 60.
Yeah. After that, there's no way that the handheld is to play. But yeah, right. Am I tripping?
We got to go. So, hit it. Yeah. Hit it. What's happening? All the lights are on.
Did you hear the click? But it's also blinking the You see this one blinking? It says override.
Wait, what? I didn't click anything, but that's the same indicator. Give us a crank. Yeah,
we didn't hear the click. You're right. 60 seconds. You're right. You're right. You're right.
No, but it says do it within 60 seconds. We probably It said with green light. We got the green light.
So, we probably only have like 10 seconds in our window. Yeah. Easy on the Easy on this.
All right. Ready? Yep. Here we go. On, babe. Nothing. So, do you think do we think V's new battery?
Is that what that could mean? I don't know. Should we go try the other one? Do we think that golf cart takes the same batteries as cars? Cuz there's probably like five to six golf carts in that car. In batteries in that golf cart.
What are you suggesting? That we swap, right? Yeah, we probably shouldn't do that.
All right, we won't swap. Yeah, no worries. We'll get back to PMTV in a second. It's brought to you by Paramount Plus. That do not do that at home. Hey guys, check this out. This is a portable 12vt lithium jump starter that packs a crazy 4,250 amps of power. This beast is strong enough to fire up engines up to 10 L gas or 8 L diesel.
Can I say something silly? I think what you're going to say is going to be smart.
Okay, we don't have any space here for this box or anywhere to put it. So if we as soon as we if this cuts on, this immediately falls off, right? I think the issue is I don't think is turning on this power
Yeah. pushing volts immediately to these things. Yeah. Yeah. Right. This just can't be the right way to do this.
We're on Almost in the butt. No kidding. Me. You think we can go ground first if the box is off?
No. I believe there's like a big rule supposed to. I think there's a rule is like crossing them like going never mind the heads.
No, that would be that would be a bad luck. That would be a disappointment. FaceTime.
But like, hey, Dad, remember all those things you taught me? Yeah, I haven't applied any of them to my life.
Can we move battery? Can battery move? Can battery come out? We can't get to battery. Can battery move? Well, hear me out. Are we confident in our ability to put this battery back in once?
Yeah. Look, it's just that if we loosen that right there. Can I ask another stupid question?
Yeah. Where are we putting the battery once we get it out? We're just going to put
We just put it right here. Yeah. Yeah. This will work. Yeah. So, you're box guy.
I mean, someone I mean, if you're in charge of the box, then I can I can run and go.
They've doubted my abilities with the box before. All right. Ready? See, that that is a problem when we're if
I agree. I agree. Hey, Dom and Zach, go jump the car. Yeah, no worries. Bang. Bang. I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to be touching anything else.
No problem, guys. Yeah, we'll jump the car right now. So, that's what we would do.
But watch when you turn on the power. It's not doing the cool flashy [ __ ] Should we press this override button? The o should we hit the override button?
Should we just go for real? Yeah, we can go for real. That was a good test. You want me to attach?
That was a good test run. This is bad. Do we want to see if it does the same thing with the lights?
Yeah. So, now they're hot though, so if you touch them, they should spark. Yeah. We don't want to do that.
No, I just I just want to keep things honest. Note that manual override does not provide any additional power. It simply removes auto detection and safety features.
What if we just press it? We shouldn't override, right? Wait. Oh, I think we should.
Oh, you're team override. All right, I'm in. Wait, wait, wait. And just know like things get things get dangerous.
Thing is on. Thing is on. Yeah, thing is definitely. We're on black. That's bad, right?
We're not an override right now. Gosh. We should cross like that. You want me to hold the board?
What do you mean cross? You know, bad nuts. Tiny nuts. Yeah, tiny nuts. They give us no space here. You need big nuts on your car.
What? That's good. That That was a solid clamp, huh? Dude, maybe we just weren't clamped up.
Oh, I got a couple guys trying to get clamped. What are you Look what what are you looking at,
dude? You see what I'm trying to do here, right? Like, yeah, this is not This is
This is We're going to be called People are going to have some trouble about this.
My dad, my uncle's grandpa. Oh, to grandpa. I think we press the button. You want to hit the thing?
All right. I'm supposed to hit it. I don't I don't condone hitting it, but if you want me to hit it, I'll press it.
I'm on the insurance, so I'll press it. Okay, that makes sense. But hear me out. The message just said we get no extra power. We just lose safety features.
Yeah. What's our return on that? We're going to press it. Can I ask one question?
Yeah. What's our What's the upside of pressing it? What do we think pressing it achieves?
What's the upside? You think it'll start it? Yeah. If we think it'll start, we'll hit the button. Yeah, cuz it said it will it detects batteries lower than 3 volt. So
So what it's going to do is we're going to press that button. Yeah. And then it's going to think there is a car there.
Which there is. There is a car there. Yeah. I think we just press button. Oh, yeah. Check the button. Yeah. Check the button.
Holy [ __ ] It'll be fine. You need to be on the off button. All right. But don't press it.
I'm not going to press until you say press. All right. Three. Wait. Hold on. Wait. Maybe we don't press. Maybe we aren't connected.
Wait. Three. Two. No, we're Wait. Wait. 3 2 1 2 I pressed it. I pressed it. All right. All right.
Wait. I didn't press it hard enough. Hold on. Before you hit it, Tom. I just hit it already.
I'm not going to hit this. You hit it. We're going to hit it again. But until you
Wait. 3 2 1. All right. Fine. Nothing happened. Are you guys either of you familiar with polarity protection?
Let's go try the other van. Okay. Power off. [ __ ] My bad. Why is there a key thing here? Doesn't it take to start?
But I've been trying here. What is this? One. One's the ignition, one's the engine right?
Huh? Hello, sir. I got a quick Chevrolet question you may be able to help me out with. Is that okay?
Awesome. I got a like an older Chevrolet van uh that was trying to start, but it has two spots where you It looks like you put a key. Do you have any explanation on that by chance?
I think it's like a Yeah. No, more so like an older sleeper van. It's a Gladiator.
Like a like kind of like a boxy build. uh boxier build. Uh flat front end. We got some couches in the back. A little TV. Uh Chevy van 20 type deal. Like a sleeper van kind of situation.
Yeah. And you kind of got where to put the key. I was No, no, not I guess. Yeah. Where to put the key. That sounds silly. But there's two SL there's like two almost there's like two ignition spots almost. It looks like No. Uh no worries. I appreciate it very much. Thank you. I called the Chevy dealer. They didn't know what we were talking about.
Yeah. Did they probably think we're trying to steal it? Yeah. Yeah. He thought it was weird.
Maybe the doors got to be shut. No way. The doors. You didn't even used to wear seat belts when this is not the door safety.
Not the door. No. No. It was never the doors. We might need Hank. That would be Should we go get Hank?
Hank to touch. Hank's got the touch. We don't We don't have the old Vany magic.
Me and Dom came to the conclusion that maybe we haven't earned the respect of the van to the level that we know you have. And maybe if you can just get it one more rip. All right. Sure. I appreciate that. Do my best. You know, I'm a car guy, so I can see why you came to me. Looks good. All right. Everything looks to be intact.
I don't know if these are the right keys. We have some other ones here that we're given. The [ __ ] are these? Oh, these are my keys dude. Where did these come from, dude?
They were on the ground in here when I got in. Oh, I've been looking for these. Wow. I just got these replaced.
Like your house keys. Yeah. Oh, okay. I mean, it's stuck. Thank you very much, Hank. We appreciate it.
Mission failed. tomorrow. Do we want to try traditional jumper cable? The longest jumper cables we ever
I don't even think they'd have to be crazy long. We would just park. I mean, actually, yes. They would have to be obnoxiously long jumper cables.
Can get close to my car. Let me know how close you are. Okay. I'm not long enough.
Okay. So, we got to we got to do this. We got to do this one first. Yeah. All right. All right. Hold Danny.
Yep. Are you on my red? I'm on Yeah, I'm on your red right now. How's everything going over there?
I'm afraid the red pops off. Yeah, I don't I don't like it. Zach, how are we not connected to my red?
We are, but it keeps popping off. You're fine. Lift it. Just lift it. I don't want to break his red.
What going on over there? We're good. Oh, I'm sparking. Yeah, the lights are on on the inside.
I'm sparking. There's lights on on the inside. There's lights on. LIGHTS ON. WE GOT LIGHTS. We got lights.
I'm not getting too close. I'm having a problem inserting. Insertion seems like it should be the last of the problems.
We got lights on and the back lights are on. That makes me think that the lights were on the Yes. Like the light switch on the inside's been flipped on. So that should that help
that's why the battery is dead. Nothing. Nothing. So we were going back and looking for evidence.
Hank is turning here. We've been turning the ignition like a normal car from our generation which is on the wheel. And uh this appears to be on the dashboard. We have we had it connected. We had power. And now, now I think this is it.
What if this is it, Cole? We'll be starting. This is it. We're so gonna start them right here.
