You were born to be a player. You were meant to be here. This moment is yours. Tonight is your moment. Chicklets. We're here at Boston University, the beautiful Aanis Arena. We got the two coals, Cole Hudson, Cole Eisermanman, stars of this Boston University hockey team. Boys, this place is pretty sweet

for, us., I, think, the, biggest, thing, just being able to practice here, being able to look at like all these banners. Got all the national championship banners.

The, main, thing, you, notice, here, is, the banners of all the historic players like Chris Jory, Matt Gilroy, Eel, and Mlin. I mean, the alumni is crazy. I think it's the strongest alumni, you know, of of college hockey. Since I played at BEu, the amount of people that I've met, you know, from generations that played at BEu, you all share that that same bond for wearing that jersey. And, you know, what it meant to you to to represent something as incredible as as BEu hockey.

Well,, if, you, want, to, make, the, NHL,, then that's probably the best spot to go to. I wouldn't be in this position if it wasn't for the people at BEu. And I feel like that was a, you know, a very important year uh for me to to grow up into who I am. And it's truly is a special place, special people. And if you go there, you you won't be disappointed.

It's, just, a, very, special, place., And, I think everybody feels the same way about it that went there.

Current, NHL, players,, former, NHL, players, my eye goes to one thing, Miracle on Ice. We are here with a legend of the game, USA hockey hero, but most importantly, Boston University alum Mike Rosioni.

BU, alum., Great, thing, to, be, a, part, of. 76., Uh,, I'd, say, growing, up,, this, was, the most quote, it still is the most quoted movie quote in any hockey locker room. Why'd you want to play college hockey? Isn't it obvious for the girls? And in that movie scene, they talk about 76 the bench clearing brawl that you guys got in with Minnesota.

I, remember, we, were, we, were, favored, to win the national champ. We were loaded. We were really

You, guys, were, nasty, that, year. We, were, really, really, good., Terry, Mahar got a penalty and while he was skating by the Minnesota bench, this game was in Denver and the penalty box was between the two benches and apparently somebody said something to him. Terry leaned in and the trainer spit at him. All hell broke loose. So the Minnesota kids and the Massachusetts kids didn't get along very well. And the fight actually did happen at practice though.

They, didn't., There, was, no, fight, at practice. Oh, wow. And, if, they, were, was, going, to, be, a fight, it wouldn't have been Mlanahan that would have fought him cuz Jack would have ate up Mlanahan. It would have been maybe someone like Vakakota.

Talk, about, the, fan, base, here. Well,, they're, part, of, our, program., I tell the band director that you don't know how important your band is to our hockey program. It might sound crazy from the outside. No

but, they're, playing, and, they're performing and the get the students up and the students being a part of it. you come to Boston University, you know how important the hockey program is to the school. You know, being in downtown Boston, having a a great program, why not come to a college hockey game? Why not come to BEu? And I think our students, feel, they, they they, get, a, part of it. They're excited about our program and what it means to go to games and watch us play.

It, gets, going, for, sure., They're, very passionate. They love being at the games. The band's awesome. We all know all the chance and stuff. They make sure they pack this section and you feel the energy for the crowd for sure. 1 2 3 4

guys, want, to, go, check, out, this, room. Let's, do, it. Let's, go, check, it, out.

So,, we, got, the, the, tunnel, before, you walk out here. Yeah. Get pretty crazy. Big Mike standing right here doing this dial goalie stuff. And then the boys are just all here doing handshakes or whatever. Me and Huddy are in the back.

KIMBER'S, BACK. Bunch, of, stuff, kind, of, going, on, here. Just like pictures like good alumni in here. Oh wow. This is cool. This one stands out right away. All white stick. So sick.

What, happened?, So,, what, made, you, want, to go with the all-white? I'm, a, flashy, guy., Like, wearing, flashy clothes. Just kind of have that swagger. Yeah, I just I like to have fun.

What, is, this?, Where'd, this, come, from? Why? I, just, do, that superstition.

Yeah,, it, looks, good., And, then, like, when I puck the top of it here, like I don't really have to look down like if it's just white, I'm not going to see my stick puck. And in my peripheral vision I could see where my blade is and not mandling pucks or anything.

Could, you, spell, peripheral? Not, even, if, I, tried., I'm, the, opposite., I like the all black. I don't like to see too much on my blade. I like to feel the stick so I kind of go a little candy cane. Everything's three, four kind of just so I have like three and four everywhere. I just do the toe. Reminds me just to shoot the puck a little bit just cuz you know just having the toe I can kind of feel the puck a little bit better too just by the blade and I like the way it slides. So that's kind of been what I've been going with recently.

All right,, let's, check, out, this, room here. Yep. I'm, excited., Before, you, go, in,, I, think the first thing you notice is the Jack. Shout out to Jack Parker. Right.

You, can, kind, of, see, all, the, stats, here. It's It's absurd how many games I mean

21, Bean, Pot, titles, 897, wins. Imagine, coaching, in, that, many, games. What, was, a, a, young, early, days, Jack Parker like?

Similar, to, today,, but, uh, he, doesn't smoke and he doesn't drink. He, was, intense., But, the, one, thing, about Jack, he just loved Boston University. He built this program, you know? I mean Jack had that pride in in the program and and you could feed off of that. He was demanding but also kind of understood when guys needed maybe a pat on the back. I think there was probably more kick in the ass as opposed to pat on the back. He kept up with guys in school. He kept up with what was going on in your personal lives with your family, how your family was doing, how you were doing as a person and not just a player. And little things that just showed how much he cared about beu made it very special playing for him.

All, right,, let's, check, this, this, room out. First thing is like the jersey. This is one of the more classic jerseys. I think you can get a little iconic

red,, white,, iconic. The, paws, on, the, back, of, the, helmet., What does that mean?

It, can, mean, a, few, different, things., So, block shot, win, sweep is a paw, shut out, short-handed goal, hat-tick. So you can kind of get them for a few different accomplishments.

And, I, think, another, cool, thing, with these stalls are also the number the jersey history obviously.

Oh,, that's, awesome. I'm, the, first, to, wear, 44,, but, like, you look over to

He, had, to, throw, that, in, there., He's, the first to wear 44. He's, the, first, to, wear, 34.

Yeah., Yeah., Well,, let's, go, to, our, number two here. Gavin, our captain here. Kind of a captain. Captain number for sure. Look how many you guys were too.

Player, of, the, game, award., What, do, you guys got? The, football, helmet, right, now, for, our player of the game. Beu did have a football team back in the day. So, we got this little old football helmet.

You, got, to, give, us, A, SNAP, COUNT. READY,, SET, READY,, SET,, GO. Not, bad.

Not, bad,, but, I, ain't, jumping. And, then, the, hat-tick, sombrero., Spent, a few goals scoring this bad boy. What's it like to play for coach Pandalfo? National champion, Stanley Cup champion played the game the right way.

Every, game, he's, he, he, really, just, wants us to be at our best and he wants us to do well and um he he has a lot of pride in in playing the right way and making sure that we're respecting the game and the jersey and not cheating and stuff like that. And he does a really good job of kind of making sure that we all know that. So it's it's a definitely a player's coach for sure. So, we are joined by the pride and joy of Fox Hill Elementary School, Marshall Simons Middle School, Burlington High School, a Stanley Cup champion, a national champion, and now the head coach of the BEu Terriers, Jay Pandalfo. Coach thanks for having us.

Yeah,, thanks., Thanks, for, coming., Yeah, it's interesting that you and I went went through the same same schools growing up, so it's pretty cool.

What, is, your, sales, pitch, to, come, to Boston University? Trying to create an environment here like it was when I was here. You know, you're going to develop every day, not only on the ice, but off the ice. Players that you get to compete against every day in practice.

Little, lower,, Izzy., Little, lower., Edi, good play on the wall. Good support Voda.

The, opportunities, you, have, to, compete for a national championship. The opportunity you have to meet some of the best friends that you're going to have for the rest of your life is is you can't match that uh anywhere else. But you're also going to have an opportunity to win. Learning how to win is what we try to teach our guys, the the right habits and details that go into winning. If you're developing those, you're going to become a better player because of that. And and that's our pitch to most of our guys.

Oh,, that's, an, awesome, picture, there. Yeah,, it's, pretty, cool., We, got, Kels, and uh Makavoy there hugging after playing North Dakota.

Some, good, distance, there. Yeah,, pretty, good, hops, there., Definitely the the weight room helping out there. A lot, of a, lot, of, North, Dakota, fans, in, the background. Actually got Brock Besser right here too.

It, was, a, sea, of, green., You, couldn't, see one Beu fan there. It was a crazy game. We beat them in double overtime. Kelts made an amazing play. You know, curled up, came down the wall and hit me back door and and that was the game winner. And we skated full speed to each other and just jumped up and and hugged each other. And you know, it's moments like that that you know, allow us to be as close as we are, you know, and why I feel like BEu was such a special part of my life. There's so much happiness. Like when you come in here, everyone's just like celebrating, kissing trophies.

It's, like, everywhere, you, look, at, this. Boston University, it's like Hockey East Champions 23, Bean Pot Champions 22. It's just like

yeah, my, god., Winning, a, Bean, Pot, playing, Bean Pot. That had to be uh probably, one, of, my, favorite, games, I've ever played. And to kind of lift the Bean Pot was pretty cool. It was cooler probably for my dad, honestly, cuz he he's got that Boston pride, too. But there's nothing like it and it never gets old.

I, knew, it, was, the, real, deal, last, year when we got on the bus to go there. Everyone's silent getting ready for the game and we get a police escort to the TD Garden.

We're, there, in, 5, minutes. Unreal. Getting, ready, for, the, game., Like, walking out to a full stadium packed crazy fans.

Yeah. And, just, went, in., It, was, sick. All, right,, let's, check, out, this, lounge.

I, mean,, this, is, incredible., I, mean,, you got the flat screen TVs, the pingpong the bubble hockey, the couches, the normex. Watching Sunday football in here.

Yeah,, we, can, get, out, here,, throw, some movies, whatever. Um some, movies., What, do, we, got, here?

Oh,, those, are, some, bus, movies, there. Land, of, the, Lostics. Classics. Oh,, old, school.

Boys, love, it. I, mean,, trophy, cased, unmatched, here. Tell me about this bad boy.

Yeah,, I, just, won, her, at, uh, MSG., It's been it's been uh in Cornell's hands for a while now since 2013. So it was good to kind of get this thing back and

Wow. Yeah. So, you, play, Cornell, every, year, at, MSG. Every, other the, pictures, too., It's, like, everywhere you look. It's just like NHL and each other. And it's not just like oh he played a couple shifts. I mean Eelinger like everywhere you look.

You, don't, get, sick, of, seeing, all, the alumni and you always want to be up here one day. So

and, then, there's, just, a, sauna, in, the middle of the room. Yep. Big, sauna, gets, the, boys, close., This, is great, but it's definitely not one of the saunas at Sweat House.

Your, best, player, gets, hurt., Everything's working out for Florida again. Mr., Grenell,, your, suite, is, ready. Michael Shereé, head equipment manager here at the Boston University Terriers men's hockey team.

I've, been, with, uh, the, men's, hockey program for 5 years now. Okay,, let's, see., Let's, see, what, you, guys got here. This is a beautiful equipment room. The first thing that catches my eye though, the coffee machine. What a coffee setup you guys have.

We, got, a, few, of, them, here., Our, Zamboni driver, Big Mike, makes cappuccinos for the staff before games.

When, are, we, getting, a, Cole's, coffee review in here? I'm, trying, to, get, them., He's, tough, to book.

They're, big, now., Big, time. Yeah,, they're, big, time. What's, up,, guys?, I'm, Cole., And, I'm, Cole. I'm Cole. And I'm Cole. And we're the coffee review guys. We got the maple latte. We got the cold brew black. Give a sip here.

We, keep, these, rankings, serious., Porno level scale. Today, we, got, a, special, guest, from Spinning Chicklets. Got the boys a few bakies for this. I went with the cappuccino. Only problem is if if you're biz, your nose might get caught inside of the coffee.

I, got, a, big, schnoz,, too,, though., That's the issue. Thanks,, guys., Thank, you., Thanks., See you.

I, think, we, need, to, get, you, guys, some Stella Blue coffee when you I, like, that., I, like, that.

And, we, got, all, the, the, tubes, and, the blades here. How uh how much are guys changing up on you guys nowadays?

We, change, blades, every, game, for, every player. Um if you're in the lineup you're getting your blades changed.

But, let's, keep, looking, at, this., I, mean, this place is huge. This, is, the, jersey, in, stick, room.

How, is, it, working, with, Under, Armour? Unbelievable., They've, been, great partners with us. Their jerseys hold up really well. This sewing machine is for use for repairs for any type of equipment. Uh shin pads and elbow pads straps, all that kind of stuff. I repair it all in house.

And, then, the, stick, wall., We, got, to, talk about the stick wall. Lot, of, lot, of, sticks, back, here.

What, was, it, like, to, work, with, a, guy, like Mlin Celebrity? Unbelievable., Unbelievable, young, man. respectful, professional, very easy to deal with, knows what he wants, so it just makes my job a lot easier. This whole area back here is extra equipment apparel. So, if you need it, we probably have it here.

Oh, my, god,, this, is, a, little, kid's, dream. Vapor, gloves., Every, player, at, least, has two sets of gloves for the season. We have Vapor gloves, Nexus gloves, mock gloves.

I, mean,, these, are, classic, gloves., The red and white pops. Michael, thank you so much. This is beautiful in here. Uh we always say, uh equipment managers are what make college hockey awesome. So, uh you know, can't thank you enough. We'll get you some of that Stella Blue.

Love, it. And, uh, good, luck, the, rest, of the, way this year. Thank, you, very, much.

Yeah. This, place, is, pretty, cool,, but, we'll check out where we spend the most time the AT room. All right, we're here with Bridget Salvador, head athletic trainer here at Boston University for the men's hockey team. The guys have described you as mama bear.

Oh, boy. So,, talk, about, what, it's, like, working with these guys and they spoke so highly of you and they were just

they, were, like,, "We, know, she's, got, our back. She's always looking out for us and she's mama bear."

We, want, them, to, leave, here, not, just healthy, happy hockey players. We want them to leave here as really good people. We really treat them as the whole picture, not just what they're about on the ice. And you guys treat them in every way possible. Massage therapist nutritionist athletic trainer, strength and conditioning coach. You guys got it all here.

We, do., Being, in, Boston,, there's, so, much access to really great places. And right here at BEu, we work closely with strength and conditioning. Our physicians are here on campus every day. We have X-ray right on campus. We have We don't have to send them out for anything except for maybe an MRI. We can have appointments in here if we need to. We can do suturing in between periods here. We use the muscularkeeletal ultrasound, which all of our staff are being trained to use and read, which gives us some real-time feedback. When I'm trying to decide if somebody can go back in or not in the middle of a game we can get on there, look at the bones we can look at the muscles, all of that good stuff.

I, want, to, talk, about, this, the our, circular, slide, board. I've, seen, slide, boards, before,, but, this is a circular one.

It's, awesome, cuz, we, can, use, it, for, any of our athletes. Can, I, try, it?, You, can, try, it. But with the circular now, you can turn go into this

switch, directions,, go, into, that. Oh,, wow. Yeah. If, I, had, one, of, these,, I, mean,, I, would have been playing here.

So,, when, I, first, came, in,, I, I, looked, to the right and bunch of rubber duckies.

People, just, started, bringing, them, to Larry. And so, he saves them. We put them there. And a lot of times before the guys jump in for tubby time, you call it, they'll grab a duck and throw it in there with them when they're feeling crazy. Sometimes how will come in and dump them all in.

I, feel, like, the, hot, tubs, cold., It's becoming so much more of a thing now.

Yeah., And, these, guys, will, come, in, and, do recovery like even in the evenings, you know, they'll jump in the ice tubs before they go to bed. Um they'll come in early morning and and soon as I get here, they're wanting to get in and do some stuff before. So, they're constantly working on themselves. As far as recovery

the, recovery, is, a, bit, different, from, uh when Larry over here was uh working with our guy Ryan Whitney.

We, got, Larry, Venice., How, long, you, been here? 31, years. 31, years., Enough, to, see, old, Ryan, Whitney in here.

Yes. What, was, that, like? I, don't, think, Ryan's, changed, much., He might have matured a little bit, but he's the same person now that I see on Spit and Chicklets that he was back then.

How, are, the, ankles, then? The, ankles,, that's, when, it, all, started back then. You know, I think he might have done it a little bit because he didn't want to practice too much.

What, would, you, say, sets, BEu, hockey, apart from in in the athletic training here you have from from other schools?

Much, like, with, the, hockey, program,, we have the support of a lot of people and it's not just the people who are present with the team. you you see people from the alumni groups and the friends of hockey that come around and help out but also from an athletic training standpoint. It's the trustees. It's student health services. It's the university. We have unbelievable resources. You know, the university owns Boston Medical Center, so we have a wealth of resources there. Our team physicians work out of there, so we have pretty quick access to them with orthopedics, family medicine, neurology.

And then recently you our behavioral health programs and um sports psychology programs have really elevated as well as nutrition. So there's a lot of resources available not just to the student athletes but all the student population but the student athletes get a huge benefit from it as well.

And, then, what's, this, over, here? When, the, building, was, being, built, a, lot of the former football players and hockey players thought it'd be really nice to pay a tribute to Anthony Dooall who was the athletic trainer during that time. Ah, and Anthony Dooall is in the National Athletic Trainers Hall of Fame. So, what they decided to do is raise money and they named this room for him. His wife ended up donating his 1971 National Championship ring to be displayed just to honor that.

Usually,, you, come, into, a, athletic training room and it's it's named after a donor. It's named after I think to to honor Anthony Dooall that's it's got to be pretty cool, right?

Yeah., special, and, it, means, a, lot, to, me because it I know how much goes into working with the student athlete.

Exactly. So, to, understand, what, he, put, in, to, be respected by all these people is really meaningful.

This, hallway, is, so, cool., Like, the, amount of history in this hallway. Yeah., You, got, to, think, you're, putting one home on this guy. Yeah.

I, mean, with, his, shot, maybe, not, with mine. Dude,, this, guy., We'll, see, you, later, in the video.

Yeah,, we, will., All right, we're lucky enough to be joined now by the head strength coach here for the BEu men's and women's hockey team Ken Whittier, a disciple of Body by Bole. Mike Bole, legendary strength coach. Ken, talk about the culture here at BEu that Mike's left you now in your fifth year here.

Mike's, my, biggest, mentor,, so, the, program still resembles a lot of the way that he does things from a movement perspective. I think we want to get guys as strong as possible, but it's not just about that. We're trying to take a holistic approach to build the best athletes we can. Not just strength, but it's mobility, it's movement, it's stability, speed, power conditioning, and we're trying to evaluate our athletes to determine what their needs are and then try to work on that in the time we have with them offseason, in season, really year round.

First, thing, you, notice, right, when, you walk in is the competition board. Talk to the Kohl's. They said competition is big between you guys.

It's, really, an, offseason, concept., We want to understand where your conditioning is at. So, we have a three- mile bike. We want to understand where your power is at. We use the force plates for that. That was a good jump. We want to understand what your speed looks like. We use sprint testing. Ready? Go.

We, use, the, 1080, sprint,, which, is, pretty cool. We can do resisted sprinting. We want to know what your strength is at. More functional strength. That's a term that Mike Bole would use. But it's just strength that's going to translate more to hockey. A lot of single leg focus, a lot of core focus and stuff that's specific to the players. The weight, the Rolex is weighing me down. I think that's about it for me. When we first came in here, I noticed Big Mike in the back using some virtual reality goalie stuff. It's just an opportunity for him. And I'm not a goalie coach, but for him to see pucks without getting the strain of being on the ice in the morning. Yeah.

So,, one, thing, I've, noticed, here, is Rodriguez rack. This one says Grizzlick rack.

This, says, Makavoy, rack., How, do, you, uh how do you get a a rack named after yourself here?

Those, guys, have, a, rack, named, after, them because we're very lucky to have them train with us and then genuinely care about our program and so they donated this gym renovation. That's awesome. Yeah. No, we're very fortunate to have great people and

um, those, four, in, particular,, MVoy, Grizz and E-Rod train here in the summertime and we have a nice little pro group, but those guys, they had the idea to renovate and donate. It wasn't my idea. It's not something that I asked. Just was a need for me. It was a no-brainer. I still have BEu very close to my heart. I work out there every summer. So, I think it was a little bit of paying it forward. I know when I think of BEu, I just have nothing but the fondest, you know, memories. And I want people to feel the same way about that. I want the kids that go there now to to leave there with friends for life and and to have that same pride that I have um you know and and have gone to BEu and being a BEu alumni.

It's, more, about, the, compete., It's, more about the culture. It's more about the consistency. And I think our guys when they're in here at 7 a.m. in the summertime and they see Makavoy and Grizz and the pros doing the exact same workout that they're doing. I think that goes a long way for them that it's it's not like there's no shortcuts.

Yeah. There's, there's, no, secret, formula., It's just about putting the work in. So, all of this stuff is great, but it's more about what you do with it. So, that's what we're trying to promote.

You're, training, the, men's, team, and, the women's team. What are uh the differences and how do you have to approach those differently?

Say, the, women, are, more, coachable. Really? Uh, no,, I, just, I've, had, an, incredible experience working with both teams, but I I love I love my ladies. They're amazing. I'm very lucky to work with their team. Um and they have the same program that uh the guys have. There there might be some special considerations, but it's still the same thing. You're still judging what their strengths are, what their weaknesses are, and then trying to program in a specific way to get the most out of them in their time here.

Have, you, seen, their, facilities? Yes., It's, amazing. We're here in the brand new BU women's locker room here at historic Walter Brown Arena. We got Clara Yun. We got Kaylee Quigs. Ladies, this is unbelievable. What are we going to see here today?

Yeah,, it's, $10, million, renovation., We'll see a little bit of the locker room and then we'll show you some of the cold tubs and see the arena.

Your, stall, right, here,, Captain., No, big deal. We, purposely, did, it, so, that, there's, no like cubby so we all have to talk to each other. And then we have like the ventilation system in the back.

Bower, sponsorship. Yeah,, I'm, all, Bower., Bower, is, the, best, but I use the four roll gloves instead of the like vapor. Yeah. All Bower.

This, helmet, I, see, it's, caught, in, my, eye here. Grab, it. It's, like, a, one, piece, like, metallic, wrap or something. I don't know. It's like I've never seen anything like it before.

That, logo, is, just, so, sick. I, see, the, You, guys, got, the, big Smartboard over there.

Yeah,, we, can, do, like, middle, of, game, like if we have a couple clips that our coaches want to show us. And then like if we go in there, you'll see we got two more like 80in screen TVs.

This, is, crazy., I, mean,, I, think, the coolest part is that you can see right on, right, onto, the, ice, right here., I know.

So,, are, you, guys, before, the, games, coming in here checking out the crowd being like, "We got a packed barn tonight."

We, we, try, not, to., No,, we I, mean,, we, look, out, here, a, lot., It's like it's cool though cuz we're we're always in here and I mean we have like our normucks over here, the couch everyone's sitting in here. We do a lot of uh pre- ice video in here as well with the two TVs. I

mean, these, TVs, are, huge. It's, so, nice., We'll, do, like, special teams in here a lot.

I, mean, this, is, great., Like, you, got, the TV right here. Throw on the norm.

Here's, your, here's, your, remote. Apple, TV, done., Like, this, is, I, would never leave here.

That's, our, study, area., And, then, we, just have all our captains. Are, the, alumni, coming, back, and, hanging with you guys? And have they come in? Are they so They got to be so jealous of this right?

Yeah,, for, sure. They, have, to., I, think, the, most, iconic thing about this place is the Boston sign right when you walk in.

Now, we, have, a, new, jumbotron, up, there, as well. It's just a lot of pride wearing the Boston jersey and the amount of money, resources that are put into us. It's really awesome.

And, I, think, the, impact, you, guys, have, had on the community as well. Do you guys feel pressure with where the women's game's at right now and where it's growing to? Do you feel a little bit more pressure to guide the younger generation and to keep those girls interested in hockey and and go out of your way to sit in the crowd and spend an extra 10 minutes talking to these girls?

Feel, like, it's, a, really, good, pressure and it's one that we all know when we commit to come to BEu. Like that we have a great crowd every night. we have the support of like the Boston area and like of our administration.

The, hockey, city. It's, a, hockey, city., And, so hockey, school. Yeah., Hockey, school., And, so, to, to, have like those young girls come and like it's just first of all it reminds us of where we started and where we came like you now where we are. But also just like you never like it never fails. We always have an amazing crowd.

Walter, Brown, is, the, best, game, atmosphere I've ever seen in my life. It would be loud. The teams would have to come out. But the visiting team would have to come out right near the student sections uh right where the Zamboni came on. So they're getting tortured from the time they get on the ice. Then the band would get playing and the place you just couldn't hear yourself think at some moments in that building. And now it's awesome cuz the girls get to play there. I know they've redone their locker room. Apparently it came out incredible. So now they have this cool atmosphere. The games that they get to sell out and the games that they get that that atmosphere that I remember being being a 10-year-old kid. It's amazing. It's It's still in the mix.

Not, many, women's, programs, have, their, own not only rink but facilities. Like you guys have everything you need here. Hot tubs, cold tubs, all the showers downstairs, the study room, the locker room. I mean, you guys have everything you need here.

Murf, plan pool, up, there. This, I, feel, like, I'm, in, a, spa. Yeah. To, have, this, where, like, you, have, like you can open up my stall 19. You can put your coat, your backpack, like everything you need.

Oh, yeah., You, got, the, little, safe, here. Yeah. What, more, do, you, need? Now,, let's, see, the, sticks, here,, ladies.

I've, had, the, same, tape, job, like, my, whole life. I do the grip tape. It's like kind of ratty right now, but um my number and then I always tape mine the same way. I like fold that under so it doesn't like come loose during the game

especially, when, I, like, take, face, offs., I hate that. And then I always put a strip on the toe because of draws as well. It kind of ruins your stick.

All right,, Y., What, the, hell, am, I, looking at here? Like, what is this? So,, I, have, a, bullseye, right, now.

I, Okay,, time, out., I, was, talking, about the sock that's halfway up the stick. The bullseye. She's got a bullseye in her stick.

So,, shout, out, to, Brett, Gilmore,, one, of our assistant coaches. Explain, this.

So,, I, had, him, because, I, get, bored., Like, you tape your stick so many times a season. We've been playing for how many years. Like, I get bored with my tape. So I was like, "Okay, Brett, like you can do a different design like every game. Like make it fun. Do something with puck marks." He like comes up with the bullseye. I end up getting like two points that game. So I'm like, "All right, like we got to keep it, right?" Like we got to keep it. Well, like I've been on a point streak since

So, like, I How, many, games? Uh, like, seven. Oh,, yeah., You, could, ever, change, that.

All right., So, this, is, where, we, line, up to go out for games. There's some chance that we always yell before we go out.

What, What, are, you, guys, yelling? If, you're, not, a, dog,, you're, dog, food. And then Mave Kelly goes, "Who took my collar off?" And then it gets barking.

Oh,, that's, awesome. And, then, we, go, out, on, the, ice. Here's the timeline from when the first club team was formed. These are the women who paved the way for us. It's amazing to reflect on and it really puts it in perspective how much pride you have to carry with the jersey.

The, school's, never, won, a, national championship for the women's team. No,, been, close.

Do, you, guys, feel, pressure?, Do, you, guys feel like an added sense of pressure or is it more just play our game, keep doing what we're doing, win Hockey East and we'll see what comes?

I, think, we, have, like, that, underlying like everyday like build towards that. Winning Hockey East was just the first step. It will come and I think we all believe that and like we all know the talent in the room and like the talent that is going to come up through the ranks for the next 10 years, 15 years and

especially, with, this, room. Yeah., Like, recruiting, I, feel, like, is going to do a 180. It really is. It's like that is one of guy, girl, pro college. That's one of the nicest rooms I've ever been in.

And, I, mean,, even, as, a, recruit,, like, I was told about the locker room, but actually being able to bring, you know the girls in there and have them see it and it's tangible, it's incred incredible because there's already so much to love about this program and this school, it just adds another layer.

Yeah., They've, set, the, tone, for, the program and um I like I said, I've really enjoyed working with all of them. I'm very fortunate to be the hockey guy here. So, I'm I'm very lucky.

And, speaking, of, guys, you, worked, with, you have a awesome uh display in your office. I think we should go check that out.

All, these, guys, are, so, humble, and, I, want them to come here and not have to worry about like the spotlight just get a good workout in and be able to work on themselves without like, you know cameras in their face or any of that stuff. But I do also want to uh express to the guys coming in that, you know Charlie Makavoy and Evan Rodriguez have been in your shoes doing the same things that uh you guys are about to do. And so there's no shortcuts. And um I I just want to set the tone. That that's really the biggest thing uh behind all the pictures. And I'm really proud to work with all the guys. I I've just been really lucky to work with guys who are so coachable um and are great people.

Unbelievable office. Unbelievable facilities you have here. But I hear these two dummies shooting in there and I gotta go dust them. Good luck.

I, don't, care, if, they, say, Cole, Eisman, has the best shot in NCAA hockey. He's about to get dusted. They say Cole Eisermanman's got the best shot in the NCAA. He's going to learn today. Oh no.

Oh, no., OH, MY, GOD., NO., OH, NO., IT'S FALLING APART. We have to leave this in. Am I playing Maddio with a stick here?

Holy. Oh, man,, that, was, bad. That's, a, bad, go., But, 250, is, not, bad. All, right,, so, I, got, to, be, 250. [ __ ] This is bad. [ __ ] I'm at zero. Oh, I got this now.

Yeah., Oh,, [ __ ] Just, butchering, Lanner's, records. Oh, there it is. How do you just break the light? Man, I pissed this guy off. [ __ ]

All right. Take, the, win. What, makes, your, shot, so, good? Like, that, question, for, me, or

Well,, yeah., Yeah., No, I'm I'm, the, leader, right, now. You're, not, wrong. You, can, ask, him, about, his, one-time., I'm taking the shot here.

Okay. He's, not, wrong., He, just, smoked, us. He's, getting, a, little, ahead, of, himself right now. But, uh, I enjoy it.

Yeah. I, love, shooting, pucks. Love, scoring, goals. Yeah., It's, the, best, part, of, the, game,, I think.

Yeah. Hey,, maybe, if, I, start, passing, to, you, you'll score. Who sticks do we have over here? Who's Smith here?

I, don't, know., What, color, is, the, stick? This, looks, like, a, San, Jose, Sharks, player stick.

I, don't, know., I, don't, know. Do, any, San, Jose, players, play?, Oh,, Mlin.

Can't, be, Mlin. Who's, Smith,, though? All, right,, boys., What, are, we, seeing, next here?

I, think, the, concourse, kind, of, to, finish her up here. You got to kind of see this when you on the concourse. This is uh for Travis Roy here and kind of see all his stuff and all the pictures that what he's done for the game and beu. And

with, Travis, Roy,, I, think, uh for those who don't know, it was 11 seconds. 11 seconds is all he had in his his college hockey career. you know, a a top prospect came to BEu as a freshman fresh off their national championship and wasn't a dirty play, just one of those plays that just went into the boards wrong. And I think, uh, I speak I can speak for everyone in the hockey community when I say that Travis Royy's made the hockey community a better place. Um, and you know, from years of you know, I was at lacrosse camp one time and Travis Roy came and talked to us and he would come to my high school and speak and he came actually to my college and spoke and I just think uh you know, everyone always says leave the game in a better place than you than you than you found it. I think Travis Roy did exactly that.

It's, a, pretty, cool, picture, up, there. It's uh, that's actually the first game ever at a Ganis Arena. He dropped the puck first Minnesota. He was a special human being and uh I'm glad that BEu is honoring him in the way that they are.

For, sure. Yeah., Last, spot, here., I, think, just, kind of seeing all the the guys in the NHL right now is pretty cool. This is all the guys kind of active. So, it's uh

Wow., active, guys. Yeah., Act, active, guys, right, now., And then they have a board here of all like the the guys that were here before. But obviously these are just guys that are playing right now. Oh, that's so if you've ever played an NHL game, you played at BEu, you'll get featured there.

You'll, get, featured, there., And, then these are just the guys playing right now. LCU just played his first game and then you got all these other guys. It's pretty cool seeing like guys on our team that were last year and here they are now playing in the NHL.

Yeah,, I, think, it's, the, biggest, thing about being at BEu is the alumni, like how good they were and how they left the place. We talked about Travis Roy leaving the the rank a better place and uh I think they just they kind of made it a staple here at BEu. Wow, what a barn. That wraps it up here at Ganis Arena. Shout out to Cole Eisermanman. Shout out to Cole Hudson. Terror or wagon.
