Good morning. It's the It's Jackson Claude and we're your host. It's your favorite show. The best five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast. They sound amazing. Welcome back to the toast and happy Monday. I hope everybody's having a par delicious definition kicking off to their week. Um, hey Traxx, how you doing?

Doing good. Second week of the new year sitting in Cooji's Corner. Welcome to Cooji's Corner.

I think everyone always says like you guys should do another podcast like CL recap podcast.

Cooji's Corner is what the world needs and I think it would be nominated for a Golden Globe. Just saying.

And that's how Cooji sees it. Yes, I did watch the Golden Globes. I watched it's actually amazing what I was able to accomplish this weekend just as like a regular girl. I spent so much time with my family. I spent time outside. I watched everything on planet Earth. It's amazing like what I was personally able to accomplish like in wake windows in nap windows. I should really receive some sort of motherhood and business owner award

for all the TV that you watched. Yes. People we Meet on Vacation the movie. I watched all three episodes of Traders. I watched the Golden Globes. I would say I made it about 60%. Um I also watched Shots of Sunset. I'm refusing to call it the valley Persian style because that's a bad name and the show already had a name. It's called The Shaw of Sunset. One of the best names of any show ever made. I watched so much. I'm so prepared to be seated here with you today.

I watched half of Shaz of Sun Persian Style in the Valley doing Persia in the Valley.

Yeah, Persia Valley style. I I liked it in general, but it was really crazy to watch it like this weekend like just very

a lot. Yes, that's true. They're always talking about the geopolitical climate of Iran. the show just starts saying like a lot of Persians and Iranians moved to LA9 during the revolution and and it's like they're unre revolutionizing right now.

I actually think that they will end up covering it next season because one thing about the Shaw is like they're not going to shy away from uncomfortable conversations about geopolitical issues about religion like they went well they tried to they couldn't go to Iran but they went to Israel actually and then like walked up to the border and they went to Turkey too. Um,

maybe they'll go if I ran becomes free, they will go. Oh my god. Brand trip. Brand trip.

But I feel like the old Shaw very much went there all the time. Every day every episode. I I've only watched half of this first season, but I did I feel like times have changed and like they're not going to do that as much.

Well, I do feel like the show was ahead of its time. The original shows of Sunset. Yes. I don't see them going like super deep. But one thing about like Reszo is like he's going to do what he wants. He's kind of an amazing reality star in the sense like he actually doesn't give a like he will talk about things that he wants to talk about.

Yeah. Um the show like did have that valley edit like spice which like I didn't like like what

I don't know just like boring valley. Do you know what I mean? That's like the point.

I know. But the thing about the Shaw is like they're not like anyone else. So trying to put them in a show like Shaw I'm too I'm too close to it. Obviously like I was obsessed with the original show and this this new show is good. I'm glad we have Mercedes like the OGs, but I don't know them trying to give it like the LA Kent edit. I don't know. It's just not working.

Yeah. Well, I've only seen I'm just getting acquainted. Oh, and to be clear, I saw one episode,

right? I'm still meeting everyone, so I'm not like calling it or anything, but I enjoyed what I did watch. Me, too.

And I watched Traders all three episodes. It was a grind, but I'm glad that I did because now I'm like, I care. I have so many thoughts about the show and the format and this season in particular, but I know I'm going to like frustrate people with what I have to say about the format.

Um, well, we're going to do our fifth and final story is an official Traers recap. So, in case you're not caught up, we're going to save it all for that.

Yeah. Now, can I tell you how to watch People We Meet on Vacation. Did you read that book?

I did. I didn't like the book, but I've heard that the movie is very good. So, people feel one of two ways. I think if you're like really like it's your favorite book ever, then you hate the movie just because you're too close to it. And I can't honestly I can't take your opinion seriously cuz I'm judging the movie as a movie. I read the book years ago. Do I remember all the nuances? No. I just remember like they take a trip every year and they're obviously in love but they pretend like they're not. The movie was so

stupid. Of course. I hate when people Why fight love? No. Not only that, at your big age like you're not able to identify a feeling like you obviously like him

and you have a you're a straight woman, you have a straight male best friend who you love, you travel with, you do everything with. Like you're married, get married. Every time like your romantic partner or his romantic partner comes on a trip, it ends in disast like

because like everyone can sense the feelings between the two of you. Both of your partners hate the other person cuz you're obviously in love. I just I hate that

And you're wasting other people's time and you're literally 30 at this point at the you do have to suspend disbelief. You have to like not be a smart person to just like read the book and enjoy it. I thought the book was extremely mid. I remember being like, "Oh, this is the book everyone's talking about. Like it's fine." And that it launched Emily Henry. Like Emily Henry is like a Colleen. every time she has a book it's like who's going to get the rights and it's a bit bestseller and I happen to believe she's an industry plant like she writes like very very mid like

but people like mid people like mid low IQ like low IQ individuals no but like and I read mid low IQ books sometimes because it's comforting to just like read something where I don't have to my brain doesn't have to work hard

yeah but this book sort of launched and that all sounded very insulting but like I didn't mean any of it as an insult to any

I wasn't as a low IQ individual I was not insult like the authors who write for Um,

they know. Listen, there's a cover for every pot. There's an audience for every writer.

Not every book needs to be Da Vinci Code, Barbara Kingolver. Not every book can be D.

That's true. Um, so having said all of that, I was just watching this movie like as a movie. I knew a little bit about the book. I thought it was adorable. Like it was super cute. Have you heard about this thing called Netflix lighting?

No. So, they say now if you watch like a movie from like the early 2000s and a movie now, like you can tell that they were made in different times cuz every movie now has this thing called Netflix lighting. And I don't like I don't know how to describe it, but I know what they're talking about. Like all movies look the same now. They look like TV shows. Like they just look like they were made on Netflix, you know?

I guess. But also like technology has changed. Yeah. But it's also more like an aesthetic than like technology. Like it's still all high quality. It just like looks Netflix.

Okay. And I thought that this movie really had Netflix lighting and because I just learned about the phenomenon and I was really focused on that the whole time.

Do we have Netflix lighting? Um, no. I would say we're so different and unique, you know.

Yeah. Netflix couldn't handle it. We have sort of like startup industrious maverick lighting.

Yeah. Very much like boot like you know bootstrap. Bootstrap. Maverick. Maverick bootstrap.

I feel the lighting is very Maverick. Yeah. kind of renegade maverick. Yeah. Um and I both of the actors who were cast I feel like when books get turned into movies there's so much like fan casting like I want Sabrina Carpenter to play and they picked two random two nobodyies. I'd never heard of either of these people in my life and they were such good actors like bring back acting good. Do you know what I mean? I feel like and with the Golden Globes Britney Snow was there and it was a reminder to me that the Hunting Wise was nominated for something which is so crazy. Like it was a bad show with bad acting that we loved cuz it was bad. And I feel like people who meet on vacation reminded me like you don't have to act bad. Like you can be good at acting.

I've actually And you can also like cast new people who are good actors. Not everyone. I read where those two like unknown people who

to me I think they were like studios like try and get people with like big social media followings and it's just like it's so lame. I'm not watching your movie cuz you told like I'll watch a movie cuz I want to see the movie. Cast the right people for the job please.

A thousand%. Let like influencers can stay influencers. Big casting news. I don't know if you saw they have cast Rapunzel live action. People really thought it was going to be Serena Carpenter as Punsy. Um

isn't she being Alice in Wonderland? Oh, is she? Well, she's so Rapunzel. She's being something.

Well, she's not Rapunzel. I believe it was a no-name. I didn't know her. And then Milo Mannheim is Flynn Ryder. Does that mean anything to you?

Milo Mannheim from Dancing with the Stars. From Dancing with the Stars fame. And I was like, "Oh, well, he surely must have done something after Dancing with the Stars because he's, you know, got this role." And when I was reading like the Variety article, it was like Milo Manheim of Dancing with the Stars fame. No, I swear.

But he's in Naked Brothers Band, is he? Like I don't know him besides he's like in a couple movies like Home Again, you know? He's one of those guys like Nate.

Okay. You're thinking of Nate and Alex Wolf who are in Home Again and the Naked Brothers band.

He is Milo Manheim Wolf step brother. He's your stepbrother. Um, he's not, but I would like

He's one of them, is he? He's of that elk. I get a lot of DMs asking me like what they've forgotten what word I'm like supposed to be using instead of elk. And I just want to let you guys know like I use elk, but I know the real word is ilk. In case you're like in a serious situation, you need to know the actual word. It's ilk. I k.

So Milo Mannheim's brother is Cameron Manheim. No, but he's in stuff with the Wolf brothers,

is he? For sure. for sure. Like I feel that call. Thank you. I think it's Home Again. Weren't there three guys?

But I don't think that Milo Mannheim was in Home Again. What was stopping him? Probably Dancing with the Stars.

Milo Mannheim movies and TV shows. Let's go. We do. Oh, no. People say like Milo

Zombies. What? I love zombies. Yeah. I This is like a little Gen Z for me. I don't know Milo Mannheim.

Um, literally just zombies. Cool. At least they were in one thing together. That's kind of crazy.

No, and Zombies is like one, two, three, and four. It's a It's So that's You know them from Zombies?

Well, I have seen Zombies 1 and two. What? Yeah. Like with the kids? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like when I like watched Descendants like I everyone was like, "You should watch Zombies." And it was cute, but it was no Descendants. Got it.

But I But it definitely like had Rez. Mhm. Okay. Rez. Um, and then he's in a bunch of other stuff that I'm sure you guys will shout at me in the comments that he's in, but nothing that I've seen, you know, so don't like say.

So, he's from Dancing with the Stars. So, if you were going to write like he's in Thanksgiving, just write you girls look beautiful today.

If you were going to write anything, just write you girls look beautiful today. Imagine if we just flooded the comments with you girls look beautiful today.

That would be so sweet. And it's because I had such a productive, well- balanced weekend. Watch the Golden Globes, which we are going to talk about, I assume, in the stories. story.

Kylie was there. Mhm. Everyone was kind of there. Yeah. It looked like, you know, oh, it's okay.

Yeah, it look cool if you're into that sort of thing. I know. And I really like was not wanting to watch it because I was just like, there's so many things I could be doing with my Sunday. I'm going to watch this crap Olola self- congratulatory. Like, but then I was like, you know, it is my job and I'm committed to the craft and I'm sure it'll come up in tomorrow's show. So, I did watch it. I went to bed about 10:00 um and Nikki Glazer said, "We're halfway through the show." I said, "You're kidding." Um, I just watched, you know, enough. I saw Timothy win. I saw the speech. There were a couple things I needed to say. I needed to make sure Hannah Ein Bender lost, which she did, which was great for, you know,

the Jewish people, non-insufferable people everywhere. Um, Mark Ruffalo lost. It was kind of an amazing night for me. And some of my faves did win. Timote. So, uh, we'll get into it.

Fave. No, I'm trying to think. Um, we're going up. It's our moment. You know what I won? um non-English film as well. The movie I didn't I know that that song is from a movie

Hunters. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. If they're nominated for anything. Everyone else. Oh, no. I'm sorry. They best nominated. They won best animation.

It's an animated movie, I guess. I thought it was a competition show about finding the next K-pop star.

Oh, I thought it was like uh people's like a teeny like a descendants like just like people acting in K-pop.

No, I'm pretty sure it's like a fairy, right? Yeah. I didn't know. She's like a fairy like Tinker Bell vibe. I didn't know it was animated, but I just want to say I don't know anything about K-pop Demon Hunters except for the song. I completely support K-pop Demon Hunters.

No. And the woman giving the speech like actually almost brought me to tears. She was like, "It is so amazing to see like this global movie be so widely obsessed and obsessed and accepted when it's so deeply rooted in Korean culture. Like they don't have big moments like that a lot." And she was so proud and I was proud for I was like getting choked up. I love K-pop demon hunters and I know nothing about it because we're going you know together and I also I love and I feel like we said this when um

that's my register I don't think so when BTS um had in the spot tonight and it's just like feel good joyful music and that's what K-pop Demon Hunter is like the message is amazing that song is so good like it lifts spirits it bridges generational gaps I love

I also feel like the kids haven't had like had a hit this big I want to say since

Trolls Frozen Let It Go. Yeah. That took over the world. Yeah. You know, there's not there I feel like and I'm not into K. I feel like it's for like older kids and it's girly.

What is K-pop demon hunters? I don't know. I see all the girls dressed up for for Halloween with with the long braid. That's how you know what's in the culture like the Halloween costumes. Everyone was K-pop demon hunters. I'm happy for you guys.

Yeah. I support it. Yeah, maybe we should watch it. I didn't know it was animated. That would be weird to watch.

Yeah, I have a really low bar for animation. I'm not into and I know that's like a part of parenthood where it's like you just kind of have to watch these movies and I just feel like that's going to be Ben's like Ben is obsessed with Disney. Like I'll be in the other room watching reality TV. Like wake me up when it's over.

Understood, you know. Um so yeah, let's get into Should we get into it? I feel like we we didn't fully pFest. Um yeah,

do you want to tell everyone about the circus? Oh my god, I do. We went to the circus in Miami on Saturday. Um, like with all the kids. It was like my first outing as like a mom. Like you guys always do stuff like that and I was so happy to be there. Um, let me tell you what they don't tell you about the circus.

She has some I I actually have so many thoughts and notes and I feel like it must be really hard for the creative directors cuz we went to the Ringling Brothers. I don't know if there are other ones. Um,

so it was the one. It wasn't like bootleg. No, no, it was like official like circus.

He's like ringing Barnum broke and they were saying this, "Ain't no party like a ringling party cuz a ringling party don't stop. Me and your husband, we're non-stop say that. Ain't no party like a ringling party cuz a ringling party don't stop." And I have so many thoughts. I do feel sad for like whoever's job it is to like come up with the songs and the choreography and stuff. It must be really really hard for them to not tap into the Greatest Showman soundtrack. I I must be like there must be a reason why they don't whether it's like it's too expensive to clear because the money I felt really stupid being there not listening to any and they couldn't even they need to tell

they need rewrite the stars for trapeze they need the opener to be and Zach was just like well they just need to do a greatest showman tour for kids like it doesn't need to be the ringling it would be nice if they all like I just felt so stupid I was sitting there being like whoa whoa now I do believe like woke culture sorry not to sound like Bill Maher woke culture has ruined the circus and I'm actually down, you know, I don't I don't wish long for the days where we're like, you know, abusing animals and like staring at the freaks. Um, so I just feel like the circus like needs to end

and it's like what are you showcasing if not the things that you used to showcase at the circus, which I'm not, nobody wants to see that.

No. And I'm not because I'm not saying like that it's bad that woke culture like that's where woke slayed, you know, like we don't need to be doing that. But what what goes on at the circus if not that? I'm not sure. Like

what did you guys go for actually? So there was like a fake dog, like a robot dog. It was like actually stupid. Um, acrobats trampolines.

That's the thing. It was a 2-hour show that was an intermission. Um, and that's like cirus sole. How do they differentiate themselves?

The trapeze was really amazing. Like really like I was aruck. The kids at that point, I think, were like really over it. I was like, wait, we're just getting started. Some of the other tricks were like cool unicycle. I don't know. I just feel like as a society we have moved past the need for a circus. Although I hate to cut children's programming for the arts, you know, I feel like, you know, Miss Darbus, the arts are so important.

But I do feel like the circus needs to evolve and that's on them to figure out.

I know. And that's on The Greatest Showman. That's on Pac and Paul. Greatest Showman can barely get their musical theater production on Broadway off the ground. They're not taking on a world tour. So that's why Ringling Brothers should collaborate

with Greatest Showman. I didn't go to the circus cuz I was home with Max. So, like I did I I missed all of this.

Yeah. And I forgot to fill you in. And this is probably not a reflection. My husband on the phone all night as he was like catching up with friends and family. Like I heard the sound bite over and over again. The circus is not what it used to be.

And your husband like could not get over the fact that there were no clowns. Yeah. Which I guess are clowns canled.

I think they're considered really spooky. Like it's not familyfriendly if there are clowns. Clowns like most kids are afraid of.

Yeah. I'm not Oh, and to be clear, I'm not the only person who thought this way. The arena was less than 50% full. I thought we got there early. Now, this is more of a reflection on this arena, the Casaya Arena, more so than the Ringling Brothers. Let me tell you, some of the best food I've ever had from I had this hot pretzel.

And I'm from New York City. Like, I know good hot pretzels. The best pretzel I've ever had in my entire life. Like, the Zepbound could not stop me from housing this pretzel. And I had to eat it behind the kids cuz kids were like just getting like little popcorn. And I was like literally hiding behind a chair like we were at fat camp eating this pretzel. It was so delicious. It's like so salty, so soft. It was literally disintegrating. It felt like cotton candy. Like it was amazing. And everyone agreed.

Oh wow. Looks like we have to take in a heat game at the Cats Arena. Oh, cats eye. No, that's

that's a demon hunters. I think it's called the Casaya Arena. Something like that. Um

Casay Yeah. Yeah. This pretzel was so good, you guys. It's like I haven't like that's what I came home and talked to people about, not the the music or anything.

Yeah. And they were like just playing like doat and like like popular music. It felt weird. It felt weird. No, like rock. That's right. Like love run DMC at the circus. I don't know. It just it didn't m They should have played.

Of course not. Like nothing. It was really weird. And then I got to thinking about the performers, you know? Of course, as an empath,

where are they? Yeah. Where do they come from? As an empath, I couldn't help but look at these people and like wonder how do you become a performer on the circus? Like it's not like they live in Miami. Like they're traveling the, you know, they're off to North Carolina. Um, and what's it like to be in the traveling circus?

And is it like is that your stated goal or is it, you know, you were a gymnast and now you're doing circus and then you're going to, you know, you go on to do other things like

So, we were actually pipeline. We were discussing that as well, your husband and I, about how a lot of them, especially in the trapze, were probably on some sort of Olympic track at one point because they were that sophisticated in their

on Disney on Ice. So, Olivia was being such a know-it-all. She's so funny. like when it started like we just knew it wasn't going to be like amazing and she was like we have to go to Disney on Ice. She was like she was just being like that mom who's like done it all already and I'm new here. She was like have you seen Disney on Ice? I'm like why the would I have seen Disney on Ice? And she was like it's so much better. Like you really have to go see it. And I was like okay like take me.

Well the thing is like Disney on Ice has a lot to pull from, you know, right? A lot of material.

Yeah. And really like they they sort of just rest on their laurels of Parg the soundtrack too. There's not, but there's not like the circus has to have to do so many things. Like even if they slayed unicycles like okay and then everyone's like what's next? It's like the circus can never be doing enough.

No. And I do want to say about the unicycles I feel like I use them as an example. They actually were really good.

I saw a video of them jumping on a trampoline on unicycles and that wasn't even the most impressive part. Like we were really And when I tell you the kids like could not have cared less. They kept there was a big screen like playing the music and the kids were just watching the screen.

It was 2 hours of screen time. Literally. No one told me that. Never again. It was 2 hours of screen time.

You're lying. No. No. I'm totally they went to a movie, but they did have a big screen um

as they should to like you know show what's happening on the floor in case you're up in the in the

rising. They didn't watch the live show. They watch the screen. They were just like sort of like looking at everything.

Sure. Yeah. Sure. So I went to the circus. Great. Yeah. Wouldn't recommend, but you had a nice time.

If you're looking for like, you know, I love a, you know, a children's activity where we're seated.

Yeah. You know, a lot of these, you know, motherhood parent activities are physically laborious and I'm just not at a stage in my life where I can be like squatting and rolling around. You know, music class like the sitting on the floor, it kills me. My legs fall asleep, my back is broken. I'm hunched over like an actual

like one of those chairs like a cozy creek. Thousand% or like or like a soccer mom chair like

but you need to be on the floor so you need floor chair. The the sitting at music class like it's I'm I'm almost like at my limit like I can't do music class anymore. She literally just started. Like,

so to be clear, certain age, I really like seated affair, so I'm not going to clown on the circus. And anytime you guys want to go to like a ticketed event where we're sitting, I'm down.

Yeah. Okay, great. Well, thank you. Yeah. And Yeah. Consider I just feel like me giving a negative review is like going to be like the final nail in the coffin for Ringling. Like I feel bad.

No. No. I think there's so much potential. Yeah. You know, and agreed. People love children's programming. Disney and I sells out so quick because we're looking for things like that to do,

right? And so that Jackie was literally empty. Yeah, I could see that in some of the videos. Um, consider partnership with The Greatest Showman.

Don't consider pursue actively and anything can be like renewed and reinvigorated.

It's true. Like, yeah. Yeah. You guys have such amazing. Just because you can't like beat the out of Elephants doesn't mean you can't put on a good show.

You don't have anything to begin with. No. And it's like try a little harder, honestly.

Yeah. Embrace your inner PT. He would have figured it out. Okay. So, there was a character named PT.

I heard a dragon named PT. Yeah. And there was also like a DJ and there was like a girl like she was like showrunning the whole thing. She was cute. Um. Yeah. I don't know.

The thing is the point of the circus like it's to entertain. So, you're saying you can't entertain us? That's not true.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel bad. Yeah. I feel like maybe some of them were like college cheerleaders too because you know they talked in cheer about how like there's no professional career for a college cheerleader like collegiate is the highest level that you can perform and then you have to what like go work in marketing. Um so maybe some of them join the circus

and actually doesn't sound like when you said like you run off and join the circus like that used to mean something else.

Yeah, it means it used to mean you're crazy. No, but like when you just said like you'll just join the circus.

Actually, you know what? I was really surprised by it. Now it means like you're a touring artist,

I guess. Yeah. A lot of the performers were Asian and I think that a lot of um the like dancing and choreograph style is inspired by like Asian martial arts cuz it was like a lot of jumping and that was impressive. That was impressive and I wasn't expecting that. So

it sounds like what they need is like better packaging, like better songs and like

they need better music. Yeah. And showmanship like they've got the talent, they've got the stuff.

Like one of the hosts was literally Ryan from High School Musical. Like I couldn't not see it. and he was like having the time of his life. It was cute. It was cute. You know, if you're into that sort of thing.

Let's start with Nikki Glazer. I watched her monologue um in the car on the way here. Yes, I drive Homobra and I drive a car um by myself and that's something that I can do.

That's great. Whilst listening to a monologue. Yeah, that's crazy. And I thought it was hysterical. I laughed out loud so many times.

Yeah, she is just great at this and I think it's like a really delicate balance cuz she's like known for roasting and sometimes when you come on and roast it gets uncomfortable and so it really is like a perfect balance of being funny, being snarky, roasting people in a way that's like not mean, not going to offend anyone. I don't think anybody took anything like too to heart because she didn't say anything that mean except to Kevin Hart and like she knows him personally. You could tell. I thought she was great. The out she brings everything. She has the the wit, the snark, but she also had like uh maybe like six or seven outfit changes and she just kept looking like more amazing. Every time she walked out you they made her she made them play a Taylor Swift song. Joe Alwin was in the audience. Like just seriously, that's our girl. That's our girl. And I feel like for the next couple of years, we

don't need to give this job to anyone else. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I haven't like seen anything of any, you know, awkward moments. No,

the monologue. Oh, except there was this like song. Um, I didn't I didn't like it. And it was like cute at the end because they brought Franchesher out and like she made like your voice is annoying. Like it was funny, but um that one like thing where she just did karaoke to Golden from K-pop Demon Hunters, but she like changed the words and wrote like I I didn't like that. I

But was it like offensive and awkward or just not funny and not your favorite? It wasn't offensive at all.

It wasn't like a Joe Koi. No. I feel like they had just come back from break. People were still like standing and she's like dancing. They're like everyone's like smooing. It was like that was just that was the only low point. It just didn't hit. But like it wasn't

bad or offensive. No. Great. It didn't hit. I think she should get the job again next year. And I I I would imagine that she will.

I would imagine that she will too. It is the hardest worst job and she executes flawlessly every time.

But no, she's putting everyone on notice because it's like you can do this job. Maybe it's not the hardest worst job. Maybe if you're just a funny person, like it's doable.

That's a really good point because for so long we're like it's a thankless job. There's no funny jokes to make with the people in the room. two years in a row. Funny jokes. The audience is laughing. The people are laughing. It's a job that can be done.

Now, I thought that the Golden Globes were so interesting because obviously it's movies and TV and like I I feel like I don't ever really have issues with like who they nominated. Like, yeah, it's all the good popular shows, but they're like fringe categories that I find really interesting. Of course, Last Night was the first time they did podcasts. They also do standup comedy. And I was really shocked because I had not heard of one of the comedy specials that was nominated. Did you know um Kuml Nani had a a special?

No, but like Sarah Silverman had a special. Bill Maher had a special. Ricky Jerves was nominated and he won. And yeah, sure. He releases specials a lot. So like I would assume that he had one. I was shocked. I had literally never heard of any of these specials. I just feel like they totally missed the mark on that's not the specials people were talking about this year. the ones, you know, and it's like more like internet, but like the the big podcasters, Andrew Schultz, like that's who people talk about.

Yeah. I can't say I'm up on the specials these days cuz I'm really not either. There are so many specials. I've kind of like exited my era of watching so many of watching the specials.

I feel like people have moved on from comedy specials. Maybe that's like a hot take, but I feel like there were a couple of years where it was like

comedy specials or maybe at least for me like and I feel like maybe there was a time where I was like comedy, you know, and I was like following more comedians and someone really has to have a great hook if I'm going to sit down and watch your special or like been through I feel like we watched Ellen's or attempted to because of like what is she say, you know? And so when there's not that it's just like here's another special about the last year of my life, right?

If I don't follow you that closely to begin with, I don't care. I don't care. And then the ones that like made waves like that I heard about were just none of these.

Yeah. Like Golden Globes is a little antiquated given to like these old school comedians and it's like Yeah. Well, you might have had a good special but no one's talking about it.

Yeah. Yeah. I guess the only special I watched last year that I can remember and it's because you just said it was Andrew Schultz.

Right. Right. But I'm Yeah. Maybe there's another one, but you didn't say it so I don't remember it.

And then with podcasts, you know what I didn't even realize? I loved first of all like them doing a podcast category. Like seriously obsessed. And I'm so happy Amy won. I've actually done like a total 180 on Amy because I really respected that she got up there and was like I'm new here.

It's such a sleigh that she is been podcasting the shortest and won. Like that's huge. Um and I didn't even realize like the geopolitical climate of her being nominated up against her ex-husband Will Arnette from Smart List. And I'm so glad they lost. Um but every single one nominated was an interview show. I didn't even realize that. I didn't know if Mel Robbins but she does she just interviews people. Um I don't know like what about just for the scripted shows, you know? Oh, there are other types of shows.

Oh, I feel like if you're going to get into scripted shows, that's a different category. Like,

well, yes, then it's a then it is a podcast award show. If you're going into genres,

we've been needing and I actually think the more celebrity podcasts there are, like the more there is a need for the potties because like people they like to do award shows around celebrities needs. They're like, "Oh, we don't need an award show for you slobs." Yeah.

So, um for that reason, this is a great start. Uh I'm looking at everyone who was nominated What's up first?

NPR is that that but not the the Daily. It's like the Daily, but the Daily didn't get nominated. So, there was a very specific criteria as well for who could have even been selected for a nomination.

What was the criteria? You had to be one of the top 25 podcasts. So, there's only 25 you could have chosen from.

That feels right. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Um and I'm not mad about Amy winning. I think it's it's crazy that she's been doing it, but like it the Golden Globes just represent the year of the arts. So like who they don't care that you didn't podcast in 2024,

right? Objection relevance. Not their problem. So her 2025 year was better than everyone else's according to the Golden Globes. Better than the toast, but as you said, it was an interview thing.

I hope like GGHQ like feels good about the inclusion of podcast categories. I hope they would do it again. Like I really I think it's so good for the medium. It's such a It's such a sign of respect.

It's very exciting. It is. And I think in this case, I'm happy. I'm glad for celebrities that like

they're the ones moving the ball on this. They they really gave us a platform. They gave us a platform. They uplifted these voices.

So, let's get into the winner, shall we? Yeah. Sorry. Um Oh, do you have like a best dress?

I wasn't watching that closely, but I thought Jennifer Lawrence. That was my best dress.

She looked amazing. But seriously, Kylie could wear anything. It's just Kylie is there for me,

right? She also didn't walk the carpet, so like I don't know if we can really include her. It's like I need to see a red carpet photo.

Yeah. So, here are the winners of the major categories. Um, this usually doesn't mean anything to me, but this year more than ever, I've never even heard of some of these.

It means less and less. It means so little. Um, best drama was Hamnit. Yeah. And I

It's not Hamlet with a typo. That's what Nikki Glazer, they did a segment. It was like, let's see the trendy searches, what people are looking up. Um, how to spell Hamlet.

Oh, that's funny. Or something like that. Yeah, it was funny. your joke about Hamnet.

Spanx. Um, so that Hamnet beat out Frankenstein. It was just an accident. That's the name of a movie. It was just an accident.

The Secret Agent, Sentimental Value, and Sinners. I've heard of I've heard of Sinners. And they won um Box Office Achievement. Haley Seinfeld was there with her bump. Michael Bord was there looking sexy. Like

a funny Nikki Glazer joke was I saw Wicked 2 for money. Hilarious. Hilarious. And they cut to Ariana Grande at that moment. She did laugh. I was in my car so I didn't get to watch any reactions cuz I'm a safe driver.

Oh, and the Leonardo DiCaprio bit was actually very funny and very true. Like I was thinking I'm like she made a joke about his girlfriends. I'm like I feel like she's smarter than that. Like that's we're so played out like 25-year-old girlfriend. And she was like and I have to make that joke because we literally know nothing else about you. And it's like yes actually like what does Leo like?

Yeah. Besides 25-year-old girls. Best comedy or musical one battle after another. So that was Leo's movie, GMO Dell Gummo. Um, and that's who he went on new heights with to promote that movie.

Okay, that's Yeah, that was just that's my limited knowledge. Del Toro. I feel like it's Nagi or Benitio Del Toro. Are they brothers

or or maybe he's a Dell something else? I don't think he's a Del Toro. Yeah, Benitio Dell blank. He looks like Brad Pitt, by the way. I thought it was Brad Pitt. I thought that they saw a picture in like from the party and someone was like hugging someone that looked like Brad Pitt. So I went to look. I'm like he's hugging Brad Pitt,

right? Bonitio. Oh, and I have one more thing to say about the What's his name?

Del Toro. Del Toro. Not brothers. No relation. Um I have something else to say. I feel like this is going to be a really unpopular opinion. I thought I thought Nikki's bit about George Clooney. I've been meaning to ask you something. Mantozo. Hysterical.

Hysterical. You didn't watch but like the fabisa on a mall. Like, girl, smile. You're on Can of camera. Like,

I was wondering what she was going to say. I have a question I want to ask. I thought it was going to be like something vulgar

or like, you know, cast me in your movie. Like, hilarious. Like, Amal had such a mug. I was like, "Girl, you're at the Golden Globes. Live. Live a little. Let your hair down."

More of that like calling out people for their sponsors. It's so funny. So funny.

I didn't even know he's the face of Nitzre. You didn't even see his commercials? Not really.

Oh my god, it's all over. That's maybe because they know they already got me. I have a net spread.

Yeah, right. You're the like target demographic. Target check, right? Okay. Now, best actor in a drama, Wagner Mora for The Secret Agent.

Okay. Congratulations, Wagner. Love you. Um, best actress in a drama, Jesse Buckley.

Habit. Okay. Congratulations, Jesse. Best non-English language film, The Secret Agent. I didn't know that was a non-English language film as I read this list. You learn something new every day.

Best animated film, K-pop Demon Hunters. So cute. And you know what? I guess it wasn't like a stacked year because the only other movie I've heard of is Zootopia 2,

right? And that's really because of Dancing with the Stars, right? Um Robert and I am a mama and I don't know these. So, um

yeah, they would have won regardless. would have run this but they could have swept anything.

Yeah. Best director, Paul Thomas Anderson, one battle or another. So Jud Appattow gave out this award.

Okay. And he did this bit that was so crazy. I don't know what the reaction was. Please sound off in the comments. Did you like it? I thought it was like so, hey, look at me. Like it was just he was just being like well they obviously asked me to give out the word for best director cuz they think I'm like the best director ever and like I am the best and it was just like kind

I don't know it was just like kind of girly like I don't know I really did not like it. Um and he's like I want to thank my muse Leslie and like I was just like can you stop? Oh also I need to talk about JLo.

He's thanking his Muse Leslie though he hasn't won anything. Right. That was like the joke. Like I'm look I feel like I won because I've been asked to give this a one.

I guess it's like girly cuz it's like unserious and that's how like that's girl humor.

Yeah. It's just like I'm the best. Yeah. No. And it's like yucky. I don't know. I really didn't like it. But I could see people being like Jud. That was so funny.

Well, they definitely have like Jud goggles on those people. Like some people are just like Jud apologists.

Yeah. And he did say um which I thought was actually not cool. He was talking about like people in the room and he was like and Seth Rogan left because he won his award and then Jed Jud Joe Joe Rogan Joe what's his name? Jed Avatau said that he had left and I thought that was like actually really uncool like everybody that was in the room seated for your award. What about the person at the very end

uncool that Seth left uncool that Jud said it. I don't give a Like yeah the fact that he left. I don't know. I thought that was really lame. Like

I think Seth Rogan is lame so I'm down to clown but now I have like a really good reason. Like I just thought it was not cool. Like you got everyone to stand up for you and like not be seat fillers, right? Like it's just rude.

Yeah, I thought it was rude. Best actor in a comedy or musical? Our boy Timothy Shalomé from Marty Supreme.

Now, we got a very small Kylie. Yeah, we got a Kylie reference, but not like what we got at the Critic's Choice. I feel like actually also really liked his speech um about how he just was really raised by his dad to be like so grateful for everything and that's how in years past he's come to this award ceremony and left empty-handed and like not been upset about it like felt so grateful and that this just means so much more and you know thanking everybody at the film Josh Shafty yada yada Odessa the cast the crew and my partner my and my partner I love you no Kylie

he said my parents and my partner I love you so now she's like in category um he can't have say the same thing that he said two weeks ago. Like boring,

but he said partner again. Yeah. But like she is part of his unit. Yeah. And the Yeah.

And I'm waiting for the Oscar speech. Like that's the big one. Oh, right. So I think it's pretty clear like he has a like more more than ever has a real chance. And I do think I might have to tune into the Oscars for that reason.

However, he'll be up against really because the there's two categories. It's easier to win the Golden Globe because they split the movies into categories.

So Wagner Moa won best actor in a drama. So, so it's Timothy vers Wagner. He needs to look out for Wagner. That's all I'm saying.

Yeah. Cinematic and box office achievement. Sinners. Best actress in a musical or comedy. Roseburn. If I had legs, I'd kick you.

Oh, okay. She was like shook because she's in like some like random independent Josh Safy film. Like she like the Josh Safy film is Marty Supreme. And she was there like on this like art film. Um she had no clue she was going to win. I was wondering if she was still married to Bobby Canavali and then she said, "Bobby, I love you. He couldn't be here tonight." I wasn't sure if she was joking. He couldn't be here tonight because we're purchasing a um a what? A bearded dragon and he's like at this expo in New Jersey.

Now, it was just so specific that I thought like it was the truth because she had such details.

What's a bearded dragon? Like a pet lizard. Like a lizard. Yeah. Oh, is it? Yeah.

Like a pet lizard. Pet lizard, you know. So, I just did anybody else know if she was serious or joking? And I love Roseburn. She's so underrated.

Bearded dragon is a pet lizard. How do you know that? Cuz she just said it. Oh, but how do you know that? Is that a known thing? I

Yeah, I think it's known. You guys are freak everyone. I don't know. It sounds like you're the freak.

The word the world. Like, why is that a bearded dragon? I don't know. I don't know how to make up the rules. I'm not

Oh my god, I see bearded dragons every day. Yeah. Well, you see iguanas every day.

No, I see lizards. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I always take a picture, send it to Margo. That's how like I know it's lizard.

She's with me. Um I didn't ever heard of this or whatever, but Roseburn's amazing actress. So,

yeah. I love her. Give it to her. If it wasn't going to be for Annie, it should be for this. And I feel like she really did not think she was going to win. Like she brought her brother like as her date. Like I think if she had a real chance like her husband would have been there.

Yeah. The only other buzzy one that I saw was best supporting actress um Tayana Taylor for One Battle After.

Yes. She really was shook. She did not know she was going to win. She gave a great speech. She looked gorgeous. I think most notably a lot of the like TV shows that we thought were going to win like White Lotus. Three of the women were nominated in the category for Carrie Amy Lou Wood, and Parker Posie and none of them won. I think that's great.

Who did win for the woman? For which for the show? Which show? TV show. Like actress in a TV show. Maybe supporting actress in a TV show. Who?

Oh, that. Oh, yeah. Jean. Jean Smart. She deserves it. Um. Mhm. And she wins always. So like we we know.

Oh. Best supporting actress. I see. The three white loi. We have Erin Doerty from Adolescence.

Yeah. Oh, Adolescence swept too. The little kid won. She won. The dad was a Netflix show

and it was filmed in one take. Was it? Is that the one that was filmed in one take?

I didn't know that that was that was a thing. Yeah. Like they never ended the camera.

It's actually very cool. Yeah. Like a play. Yeah. But it's like you could not, you know, like why you doing all that?

Yeah. I saw um we did this amazing thing called like Final Cut Pro. Our fellow family um

our fellow family Josh Peek, he was like talking about it months ago like about he's like you could cut.

It's such a good call. You know what? This has kind of been like a weekend for me of like realizing stuff.

Uhhuh. And you actually helped me come to this realization. Um because last night I put Ruby in his pajamas without an undershirt. And I don't know why. Like I didn't realize till you said it. Like I thought they were literally going to cuff me up and take me to jail if I didn't put the baby's onesie on and then the the pajamas. Every outfit he wears a undershirt. And then I had this realization. I'm like we also could not like we're in Florida. It's hot. He doesn't be wearing multiple layers. And he's also just like a baby who runs hot. It was just this sort of like freeing realization.

They're kind of And he always cries when I put the undershirt on like Oh, well you got to get the ones that snap down the side.

I do, but like it's just always like the arms like it's a thing. No. And it's like when baby is a newborn they should have one more layer than So if you're wearing jamas, they should have jamas and an under layer.

My king is eight months and he's enormous. Like he's fine. And as they get bigger like that no longer applies. Plus if they're

And I just bought like new kite baby onesies but like I don't need them. I'll take them.

Sure. Yeah. Actually you could wear them as a shirt. Shirt. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. With nothing else.

A shirt. Yeah. No, you're definitely like on that onesie grind with baby number one and then it starts to be like, "How about that onesie?

Do we really need it?" Um, okay. So, is that Golden Globes? We feel good. I feel good about it. Um,

which Yeah. Yeah. What won like best picture? One day after another battle. Oh, right. Battle. One battle after. And then also comedy,

right? Which was what? Comedy or musical? I believe we said it. See, best comedy or musical, one battle after another. Okay, so best drama. He

Oh, right, right, right. Yeah, we said it. I know. I said I was going to like watch all the Oscar movies this year cuz I had such a good time last year and like it's fun to recap when you like know stuff. But the thing is, nobody ever agrees with me. So, I watched all those shitty movies last year just for Anora to win. Like, I don't agree with my fellow voters. So, you can all go eat my ass. How about that?

Yeah. And there's so many better things worth your time. Like seriously, if you're going to devote that time, like do Real Houses of Salt Lake City

or like Traitor season 3. Yeah, it's true. Yeah. And I think that's what like our audience is

wants from us. Yeah. They don't waiting for you to watch. Don't ask me to do it. It was just a fun thing to do when I was pregnant when I literally like had nothing but time.

Yeah. Are you ready for our next story? Alex Earl reveals her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer while she competed on Dancing with the Stars.

Devastating. So, Alex Earl just revealed that her mom, Alyssa, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Yesterday, she opened up about her mom's health journey in a post shared on Instagram and Tik Tok, posting a video showing her and her sister Ashton by their mom's side in the hospital doing her hair, holding her hand, and having some ice cream and drinks together. She posted the clip with, "Fuck cancer written over it while a voiceover said, "Strong women never give up. We might need a coffee. We might need a good cry. We might need a day in bed, but we will always come back stronger."

Now, I'm sick from this. Obviously, I blame Alex Earl's dad. Okay. I just when I think of this woman and like what she's been through in her life and how how much she's had to put up with for her family like and and for the sake of her children, I'm always in awe of her. I feel like I'm always referencing like how amazing she is. And like of course like she gets cancer. This is And I just blame him.

Yeah. Yeah. I saw this yesterday. I was like, "Oh, did I miss something?" Because it wasn't like a

um And now to know that she was diagnosed while Alex was doing Dancing with the Stars. to like a very like grueling schedule amidst the breakup with Braxton. Like Alex is going through it. I know.

So, in hindsight, I'm really glad that she had that reprieve in New Year's like in just like a fun swirly weekend. Like, she's going through a hard time

and sometimes you just like have to be spotted with Tom Brady to help like your overall wellness.

Yeah. Just like get the vibes up. Yeah. So, I'm wishing them the best and um just really really sad.

Unexpected. Yeah. Um are you ready for our next story? some controversy for Jennifer Lawrence.

Of course, I'm ready. Who I relate to on a very deep level. Shared that she rehomed her dog who bit her child. So, Jennifer Lawrence is getting a lot of backlash being called awful after revealing she

not by me, by the way. I just want After revealing she rehomed her Chihuahua named Princess Pippy Longtocking because it bit her son. So, she was on a panel and she shared that uh she looked at her dogs differently after having kids and because one of them bit her.

What she had said was that like she before she had kids was an insane dog mom. She's like I literally moved to 67th and first to be near this dog park. Like I was obsessed with my dog. Like nothing could have you know torn us apart. And then when she had her first baby she started like look at the dog like very Romeo like being like girl get out of here. like she just she was like, "My priorities completely changed." And she was like wanting to rehome him. And then

the dog bit one of the kids and then it was like a no-brainer. Yeah. I don't know why people are mad at her for this.

She said, "After I had a kid, my dogs became so scary. It's almost like I don't recognize dogs right now. Like I just see them as a threat. One of them bit my son and that made me just want to obliterate every dog. I was just like, I'm going to take you out. You your family and your friends." She went on to reveal that the dogs are now staying with her parents. So not even like

literally the least big deal ever. Rehome. People are so sensitive about rehomes, but in general, and I can

I'm very understanding in general. Um, but after a bite, like you could want to rehome your dog once you have kids and they didn't even bite. Like it's just like

your priorities change and you can't give them of course. And I just want to say giving your dog to live with your parents is not a rehome.

No. That's literally what I do half the year. Like Romeo lives with Ben's parents.

But Right. So it's like she didn't even need to share this, but I'm honestly glad she did because it's exposing how crazy some people are.

Yeah. about like dog like I'm sorry the dog bit the child. Oh, wait. What are we even talking about the dog bit the child? But even if the dog bit didn't b bit b bit b bit b bit b bit b bit b bit b bit b bit b bit the child normalize the conversations we're having about like some people because I was actually talking to Olivia Coppo about this in her DMs about how like literally nothing has changed like she loves her dog more than ever like her and the baby and the dog are like this beautiful little Christian too beautiful family. I'm like oh that literally could not be more opposite of my truth. But some people have both experiences. I think if I had had Theo like I barely know Romeo you know what I mean? Like, but my OG dog, Theo, who unfortunately passed like in an untimely death. Um, if he was my dog right now, I would not be having these problems like at all. Um, so some people have like normalize

having the conversations about how like sometimes a dog does not fit your life anymore when you have a baby and that's just really unfortunate. And if you are going to rehome your dog, I really have no problem with that as long as you're taking proper like don't just give him away loosey juicy apple goosey. Like let's find let's find a nice home perhaps a family member. Even Dar brought him to like the place where

she had originally gotten him from. But do we want to have the conversation? Maybe we don't want to step in it about like the the original point that she was making about how obsessed she was with her dog and like moving somewhere.

No, cuz I think at that point you're just like yucking someone's yums. Okay. Like you can think your own thoughts.

Okay. But I don't think that that's a universal truth. I think it's just your truth.

Well, no, it's not universal because other people obviously feel a different way. Right. Like,

do we want to call them out for that feeling? No. No. Because I had that feeling.

Really? Yeah. There was like a time in my life where like the most important thing in my life was my dog.

I don't remember you ever being a crazy dog person. Oh, really? And I could think of like crazy dog people.

Ben. Yes. But not even. And I you did not fall into that category though. You love Theo with your whole heart. Like loving your animal is a normal thing, but like revolving your life around them as if they are

I don't judge. I actually don't. They are a child for some people like the dogs are their children

and you don't either for their whole life for this period of your life. No, I really I don't have a problem with it. I don't

I mean I'll talk about you behind your back, but like I'm not on the podcast. You won't touch it.

No, I don't feel like alienating people. You know, there are some things I'm like willing to die on. Like I have a feeling that's so strong. Like I will say it no matter the backlash, no matter the comments. Don't forget to flood the comments with you. You both look beautiful today. Um this is not one of those things. Is it one of those things for you? Because you can talk about it. No,

but I just think, you know, let's Let's circle back to that, you know, just think about that.

Yeah. I just like like lost culture recess are getting cancelled right now. Like let them have their moment. We don't need to have ours.

Okay. Even though I didn't say anything. Yeah. No, we didn't like there's nothing that you could even like quote like you know what I mean?

Yeah. We didn't like no clip. We didn't say anything. Um but yeah, brave for Jennifer Lawrence

for sharing this even because once you say the word rehome, it's a trigger word for like the internet.

Yeah. And one thing about Jennifer Lawrence is like she's not going to listen and learn. Like she said what she said. She doesn't have social media. We're not getting a screen screenshot no apology. We're not getting a clarification. Like the saga ends here.

I don't think I don't think anyone can tell her anything. The dog bit her child.

It's absurd. I can't I do feel like a lot of like these articles like manufactured backlash. Like is there actually backlash? There's no way a reasonable human being could be upset about this.

You can find backlash for anything though if you look hard enough. Like three comments.

Yeah. If you want to muster it up. That's what I mean. They like make it for the article.

Yeah. Yeah. Um, are you ready for our next story? If it's our next story brought to you by Amazon MGM's Melania from Amazon MGM Studios comes Melania. She's done this before. Thank you, Tur like like a genuine pleasure and honor to support today's sponsors and just it reminded me that I have a crazy story to tell you. I forgot to tell you this. So, I had to make an appointment. I needed like an air conditioning guy to come to my apartment in New York. And I'm calling and I'm making an appointment with this guy and they ask me questions like the address, what the issue is, yada yada. And I realized about halfway through, I believe I'm on the phone with an AI chatbot. It was so crazy. I made a full appointment. Like literally no issue. It was one of the most pleasant conversations I've ever had. I got an email and a text confirmation. And the only thing they got wrong was I spelled my last name. O S H R A E. I don't give a They got everything right. My email, they were like, "Spell your email."

Did you spell out your name for them? And you didn't even have to. I think I did. I did. Um,

do better. It was so crazy. First of all, the voice was so lielike, but also he wasn't dumb. Like anytime I've ever been on the phone with a machine, I'm like, "Ooperator, operator, representative." Oh my god. It was actually crazy. And that had me shaking in my AI boots. Like for real.

But that's a good story. Yeah. Except for, you know, the the loss of jobs. The loss of jobs. But I guess if they were doing an amazing job.

No. And I feel like telemarketers be like sad that now you're talking to a robot. Instead, you're happy.

Yeah. This is where I'm at with AI. Like if it's improving my quality of life, I have no problem with it.

Yeah. And that's what happened. Yeah. Well, I think also where I'm at with AI is like it will probably

be the end of the world um as we know it and destroy like the human race, right?

So, enjoy the benefits while we can. That's beautiful. That's where I No, I like that.

Um but you know one thing that AI can't do? What? Make you a loaf of bread. But you know who can?

Taylor Swift. She's gifting her celeb friends her famous homemade sourdough loaves during a night out in LA. And I will say regarding Chad and sourdough, I have used Chad to troubleshoot some of my loaves, like what's the perfect amount of cook time and temperature and they actually don't have it right for my boule. They have it right for my sandwich shape, but not for my boule. They keep burning it.

I want to say, so me as like a sourdough maker, I won't be replaced by AI. The one thing that I think might save us from AI is the fact that a lot of these AI bots are low-key so stupid. Like, they're wrong about so much. I now have to like double check stuff when I when I get the info from chat. Um I don't know if that's all bots, if that's chat specifically. Um I told you that like chat sent me to a container store once that had been closed for 10 years. Like it's it's not all it's cracked up to be. You have to just sort of like double check your sources.

I agree. But it's getting smarter. Yes, it is getting smarter. You can learn. Yes. But I can learn.

That's chat. Yeah. And I feel like I know the things that chat's not going to be good at. Like I was asking for like a specialist in my area for something and then they gave me a bunch of people and I literally looked them up and none of them exist.

Existed, right? I know that's not what chat is good for, right? It's not Yelp. Yeah. So, there are other things where I'm like, "Oh, this is the perfect thing for Chat and I to discuss."

Yeah. Um, but anyways, Taylor's friends got some loaves. It's so funny like they were all spotted leaving this restaurant. We never would have known Taylor was even in the building if they hadn't walked out with these sort of like

public displays of Taylor. the the Amazon to go bags for sourdough loaves. It's interesting. I noticed that as well. She uses the brown paper bags that you also use that you literally got from Amazon. And you would have thought she would have I don't know started packaging it like a little bit more paraliously.

Yeah. But you those bread bags are like so ugly and I feel like they create a lot of condensation too.

I feel like when you first need a bread bag, you just search Amazon bread and then you realize, wait, I could have gotten one from like Etsy or whatever

and then you started to get like custom stickers. But you do have like 50 to 100 of these Amazon ones that you need to use. I just feel like um like Taylor like with her jet like I don't think she really cares about getting rid of like 50 paper bags.

Well, I'll know if like if I don't see 50 of them out in the streets like I'll know she was wasteful and I'll tell everyone

wasteful. Is there anything worse? I think like people know actually like one of the accusations of Taylor that I do find like valid like she's our wasteful queen.

I don't think she's I of course she takes her jet. Take the jet out of it because it's it's not about waste.

Right. Right. No idea. She's like someone who like is wasteful. Throws away food. like let's buy things from the grocery store that she already had at home and then like throws it away like a trash full of stuff that's like

she doesn't give like girl who takes leftovers home, you know? I don't know. I don't think she's wasteful.

Well, I think she has a lot of like staff people who do these things for her. So like all right, maybe you know there's a cake that is not getting eaten like does one of the staff members want to take it home?

I think it's actually like easy to not be wasteful when you have a lot of staff. Okay,

that's just a theory I have about like wastefulness. Yeah, I just like wouldn't like count her as like a wasteful person. I don't know why. Um, so anyway, she gifted her friends the H sisters and Somber

and I feel Somber like that was really shocking that Somber got a loaf. Who was Somber? I saw him in a picture.

So, um, we spoke at him the other day and we didn't know who he is. He's not a role model, but he sings a song. He sings a song that you know. Ready?

We talked about him because he was on SNL. His song is is it sambarini? It's not sambari somber.

Is that it? I don't know that song, but I enjoyed it. That's it. How does it go? Like

Okay. I've never heard the song. Back to friends. Can we go back to how it ends? Is that it? So, he has one song and he's at dinner with Taylor Swift.

Listen, we're so close. Like, we just need a song. You have two. It's actually I'm so glad you brought that up. Nobody Everyone's like, "You should write a song, bitch." I literally did.

Yeah. Have two. Two. Sorry. I didn't write them, but like I bought them. Yeah. By you. Toast.

We going to have a good time. Hands up to the sky. We going to get toasted tonight. Can't let it fade. We got a sparkle in our eyes. Can't let it wait. I'm counting down until we start. We're renegades. We come to play and we play hard. Ooh. 2 3 4 down. We going to have a good time. Thousand hands up to the sky. We're going to get toasted tonight. I've been feeling it all day. I want to let it go. I want to lose control. Oh, I'm ready to roll. And I've been daydreaming about this night for a long time. I wanna dance with you under moonlight. A toast to the wild ones. A toast to the good life. A toast to the lovers. A toast to you and I. A toast to the wild ones. To you and I. Imagine hating us and we're just like sitting here singing my original song. You know, it's insane.

What a waste of your time. The fact that we have so many haters genuinely blows my mind. Genuinely

like we're hilarious. Do you agree? I do agree. You know what I want to do right now?

Sing. I want to hunt it down. Oh, so I'm constantly By the way, you should join me on the weekends. I'm always hunting it down.

Hunt it down. It's 100 down. Like hund down. Yeah. But like I am like a singer, so I say like 100 down, you know.

Yeah. A lot of people don't know that. Fun fact. It's hund down. 100. Mhm. You could never.

And then I think that was an Easter egg for your next song. I do. It is high time for me to release another song.

Hund was a Easter egg for 100, right? Oh, and then my second song um that I sometimes forget it goes. It was called 100%. And that was like when we were really in the era of like saying 100%.

Yeah. 100%. Don't let them forget. Go hard till the end. You know that we are 100%. Don't let them forget. You know that we are 100. We keeping it. We keeping it 100. You best believe it. Keeping it. We keeping it. Oh, this the bridge is actually really good. It's like kind of moody. After all is said and done, we still got us. We got love. We're one. Oh, no. I'm singing toast. A toast to us, the wild ones. One, two, never mind. We gonna keep this up because we are 100%. Yeah. And you know, the producer of both of my songs actually Oh, no. Sorry, just the second song is the producer of our theme song as well. I got to get back in the studio with Curtis.

Have you seen those reals and I imagine Tik Toks of like that guy who's like pretends he's in the studio when like classic pops are going on like he

That's you. You should recreate one. You should recreate one. That's me. Yeah, you should do that today. And he's like just using like

I love that a lazy Susan. I love that guy. You are that guy. I Every time I see one of his videos and he always picks like the best part of every song.

That's my guy. Yeah. Are you ready for our fifth? Well, anyway, she made loaves for her friends as like her friends do.

And I was going to say it's kind of like it's such a status symbol like that shitty bag from Amazon. It kind of reminds me like when Ariana Grande was giving out her seven rings and it was like, "Well, who has a ring?" And this is just like a ring.

Yeah. Yeah. Cool girls make bread. Yeah. Yeah. Are you ready for our fifth and final story? Traitors recap. Spoiler alerts forthcoming.

Yes. So, if you don't haven't seen all three episodes, this will contain spoilers as to who the traitor, who went home, starting now.

Okay. So, let's talk about like the people they chose for traitors and like what we think about like the the concept of the show. So, I had an idea of what the show was and it is what I thought it was. It reminds me, does anybody ever play that game that's like made by the same people as Quiplash? It's called the Faker. You remember we played that in the house? Like where one person is the Faker and like you literally just lie and like say there and I'm so good at it. Um, it's my favorite game. And this is basically just like an in-person version of that.

I'm loving it. I have to say first of all, Ben, is is Zach watching with you? No, we tried to watch started like I was like, let's start traders cuz neither of us have ever watched it. But Max kept waking up and so I kept waiting for him and then it was already Saturday night and I hadn't started cuz we were disturbed. So I was like I have to go it on my own. I'm sorry.

Well, he would really like it. Ben's like enjoying it immensely. He thinks Alan Cummings is so funny.

Oh, I don't even notice Alan Cummings. Me neither. And I do think like a lot of the theatrics are annoying. Like I prefer like the juice, the drama. And I was really shocked at who they chose for Traitors. I don't know what the

criteria. Yeah. And I do think they want to keep people on their toes, people in the house, the audience. And I'm shocked at how amazing of a traitor I think Lisa Rena is. And I do think this show will end up being very good for her cuz I've been like a very vocal like Lisa hater. Like I wasn't a fan of her on housewives. I was like ready for her to go. Um and I think she's been amazing. I think she's such a good trader. She's been so lowkey. Like she

But I think that's suspicious. I actually think the best one of the traitors is Rob. Well, yes,

Candace like is awful. I wish that she wasn't a traitor because we're getting so much Candace and she's like so high on her horse and she's like not my favorite housewife by any means because I'm still team like for me that just is not going to work. Um I think Rob is great. I don't know him from Love Island. I didn't watch his season, but he does seem like kind of dumb as a doornob and very unsuspecting and he

is a good game player. He's not very dumb, but he really like plays it. You don't notice him. Like I feel like Rena's kind of an obvious choice cuz she is an actress. I'm surprised that they picked her cuz she's so traitory just who she is

as a person. Yeah. For the same way they thought that Donna was a traitor because she's such an obvious choice because she's not obvious.

No. No. Because she's like sweet old lady. So it's like oh you'd be a great trader because we would never assume you. And the same way that that's an obvious choice. I think Ren is an obvious choice because it's like of course you're a trader.

So I have so many thoughts about Donna being selected as a trader and this whole concept of secret trader which is a new phenomenon. I don't like it. Um,

it's over TG. Yeah. And Donna was never going to be a good traitor. It was actually a really bad choice. And I think like catching a traitor in the second or third episode is not good. Like I was shocked. And the thing is I feel like you really have to be there to like feel the vibes cuz everybody was like Donna. It was unanimous. And I'm like what did she do besides not talk to you guys?

Like literally like what is she different than like Tara who's just like Tara? Random.

Donna must have been so obvious. Like I don't know what the she was doing. I also saw theories online saying that she didn't participate in some of the challenges due to like the physical elements of it and she is this older woman which would have given people like a lot of suspicions about her because I feel like there's something not being said about Donna. What was so obvious? I was actually feeling defensive of her. I was like she doesn't know you guys and she's like why the would she be up your ass chatting? She's just this like sweet old lady. So I was like you guys are wrong. I thought for sure Colton was the secret traitor.

I thought Colton was a something. He is playing this game very well. I think he's one of like the smartest game players aside from like the gamers who I don't know. Even though like Tiffany seems really smart and like a really good gamer, but she's so climbing up the wrong tree with Michael. Like it's crazy. Um she's so misguided. She's like, "It's Michael." She named three people and it's none of those people.

Well, everyone and so the thing is is like you can be really smart on this show, but why Colton I think is going to go far is nobody knows he's smart. We know in his confession it's like oh I'm like that's actually a really good way of thinking and he's not there yet but his thought process is right. we have to look past the fact that he's like a crazy person who stalked his ex-girlfriend. Like it's actually insane that he's on this show and being given this platform. Um, so I'm just going to like try and exist in a vacuum where that didn't happen. I do think he's playing really well.

Most of the people who come on the show, a lot of them are like former reality TV like villains, whatever, who have like a history of even Sandival was on it last season. Like I do think you just sort of have to

Okay, but like everyone you just like none none of it comes close to like like breaking the lawn like being a stalker.

I'm sure Miriam Webster defines stalker. I mean what Jesse Smlet on special forces but

it's true. I forgot about Jesse Smilelet. Yeah, that's a good comparison. Um um

I want to talk about with my issue with the show it kind of is like may the dumbest person win because if you are smart you are automatically eliminated for being smart. So we're not having this like that.

I mean the fact that Rob knew there was a murder in plain sight. He's like wait you started the conga. If only he had the opportunity to tell one person.

If you ever needed proof as to why Kenneth is a terrible traitor was the conga line.

It was so obvious so stupid. like you that was your quickest way to get everybody in one room like so dumb. You should have been like guys I want to talk about something and like make an accusation

and she's messed up a couple times but gotten away with it able to smooth it over Porsche with Michael Rapaort and like I'm annoyed at Mora because she's the only one who knows the truth and she didn't remember but she wasn't even listening.

Okay. But I Mora and Rob. I Mora and Rob. I wonder if they'll come to that conclusion they're themselves. They're both from Love Island. I love Mora on Love Island.

She was at the Golden Globe. She looked sick. Yeah. She does like a lot of TV work. She's best friends with Molly May. from her season. She was like the best one on her season. Like personality out up the wazoo. We're not seeing a lot of it on the show yet, but there's

there's so many people. You know who's like actually really being just like dumb and is pissing me off and this is going to like offend you personally?

Caroline Sam. Yeah, she stinks. What did she do wrong? I love her. She stinks. Like everything she says, I'm like, you're wrong.

She's just like not giving that much. She's not really participating yet. But um I love her jacket that she keeps wearing, her little puffer. I want to talk about Michael Rapaort who was like probably the most

talked about person I saw before I even started I saw so much hate for Michael and I was like oh god what did he do and then I saw this New York magazine article is Michael Rapaort ruining traders but this like scathing that was the the headline and then this scathing article

I was so looking forward to finding out what he did when I tell you I have no idea what you guys are talking about first of all he was cracking me up and I kind of did think Jam Jam was a traitor like if you're a trader and you know it clap your hands I'm sorry he's this like eccentric personality maybe He's not for everyone. I have no idea like what people are referring to when they say he's ruining the show. Um

well, the people who wrote that article like obviously just don't like him because he's Jewish and wearing a big Jewish star. I think he's hysterical. I was ready to be like Michael Raort. I don't really know him from that much other than social media. So, I've not like seen him in his element. He's so funny. I love that he doesn't like back down from confrontation. Like other people, they don't want to be in confrontations. They like everyone on these shows has huge personalities. Like you don't want to be like read to filth by anyone. Everyone's just like sort of hiding. No one is putting themselves out there. I think he's being so funny. And also being brave. Everyone is just That's what's the problem with the show.

Everyone who mentality everyone who is quiet skates by until the end. May the dumbest most quiet person win because like the people who are actually putting themselves out there to say I think it's this person and then say it's not that person. Well, all of a sudden it's you. Like Ron like Ron just really tried to put something together. I have such an issue with people hating Ron and now thinking this is where it's like you're obviously not a smart person because how you could think Ron acted in any sort of malice when he just came to the table like this is evidence that I have he obviously doesn't know Porsha who said that she just like says stuff and she speaks wrong what bothered me is the same way Porsha said we sent Ian home which by the way you did send Ian home because you someone put this team put the casket in his grave like and we got Ian sent home sure Michael set it at the table so you

could see how the slip up would happen and to think that like Donna, Michael, and Ian who are each like sort of taking the same side right now that they're all the traitors because they're saying the same thing. You think that the traders would be so stupid as to like publicly at the round table up and say here we are like they're just they're playing checkers when the it's a game of chess.

Justice for Ron. He had me fully convinced because and I like that you know if you're

still there. No, of course. But if you're going to make an accusation, like proof is paramount. And that's what I was saying with Donna. Nobody had proof other than the fact that she wasn't talking about. Like it was just vibes, which I guess if you were there in person and clearly they were right. But Ron came to the table with like straight up facts. I appreciate like the the clarity in which the accusation was made. And okay, they were wrong. That's okay.

Yeah. If he knew Porsche for one second, like I never thought of her. She would have been like seriously the world's if if what she was doing was because she was a traitor. she would be the world's worst traitor. So, I don't think it was her, but he could he could have just not said anything and not put a target on his back. So, it's like people who are putting themselves out there who are trying to play the game like Michael are being penalized and so we're going to wind up with just like a bunch of Steven Colettes and Tara.

Yeah, you're right. There's way too many people on this show. Although, I do appreciate that in the first three episodes like four people have already gotten home. Like, they're moving quickly. There are far too many people like and even there are people who I think are good and have big personalities are just falling through the cracks. Mark Ballas. Like, oh, and also there are a couple of people who, and I literally talk pop culture for a living, whom I've never seen in my life. Eric the songwriter. Even Ron, I like him. Where the hell is Ron?

I agree. Eric the songwriter is random. I obviously don't know the gamers, but it's almost unfair to have them in the show because they're always going to be smart first because people know that they're smart. So, it's like the best person to win the show is someone who like seems dumb but isn't and like you play that. That's really the only way to win. That's why I think Rob is good at the game. That's why I think Gabby Wendy won her season. I could I could see now why you wouldn't like suspect her of

being a mastermind, but she's actually really brilliant. Yeah. Um I'm enjoying it so much. Like I And I'm now like learning like, you know, some more behind the scenes. They don't live in the castle. They stay at a hotel.

That makes sense. I mean, everyone has glam. So I was also wondering, are they getting full glam?

For sure. They're on TV. They're, you know, TV stars. I don't think they're going to just like roll out of bed and show up to TV. And I like that because I'm watching a television show. Produce it. look beautiful, please. Yeah.

So, I'm fine with that. And they are all like, you know, the biggest stars in in their own lives. Like, they're not going to be like bunking up.

If the traitors do get found out, it will be because of Candace. The thing about Candace, and I feel like this is the most dangerous combination of person. Like, someone who really thinks that they're smart and is not.

Yeah. She is so obvious. Like, how no one is on her is insane. The conga line thing would I would have been like, "Girl, it's you."

Yeah. And how nobody thought that was weird. why no one followed up on the lie, especially after Porsche found out to be a faithful. It's

right. So, where did this communication in this conversation lied? The person who you thought was lying turned out to be a truth teller. So, let's look at the other person. I feel like there are a couple of threads of things that have happened that people are like following up on. Like Michael and Jam Jam, you're following up on the wrong things.

Yeah. Yeah. and the people who are there like who are the smart ones. Like Tiffany, I feel like her game theory is really spot on, but she has just completely taken it down the wrong path and she's going to end up nowhere.

Yeah. I feel like she's like in love with Michael. Like she's so blinded by it.

Just say you like Michael and you with him. Totally. No. I Did you see Michael eating the spaghetti?

Yes. That was insane. I don't like clock it, but Yeah. Oh, I And they literally They must have known like they stayed on him for like four bites. It was shocking. He is so funny. I'm sorry. You're not going to get me to hate Michael. He's funny. He's adding like

and I was like ready to cuz I was like oh he's being loud mouth annoying and then I watch everything and I'm like he's trying to play this game. He's being funny and he's being brushed and not just being scared of being sent home and not being on TV.

Yeah. Know there are so many people like seriously Steven Kleti what are you doing there?

Stephen Klety but every time he does speak I'm like you're kind of a Pum. The fact that he would

he would have been a good traitor. He wouldn't he to me is the same as Rob. Like yeah just to unassuming

unassuming. Rob I think is playing it well. Steven when he like wouldn't take the seat cuz he was like my mom raised me. I would never like make a woman push around.

And he's still on TV so like he's like still being watched. Like you like there's so many elements at play like you want to be good faithful. You want to be a good trader but you're also on TV.

He just wants to be a good person. Yeah. Yeah. No, I have no problem with him personally. There's just too many people on the show.

No, I'm just saying like Yeah, but I I actually I don't mind. He's not someone that I mind. I don't really mind anyone. But I'm just like this idea that like only the people who really middle line it and who go like unnoticed are going to go until the end because the people who are really playing the game are going to get eliminated. Not my favorite kind of game because I like games of skill and I feel like the more skill you have the quicker you are

to be eliminated. That challenge where they were okay another person falls through the cracks. Johnny where it's just not working.

Yeah. Even though like and him and Tara have this like big plan to like team up at the end.

Yikes. What? They win. We'll be eating our words. I'm I'm really curious. I'm I'm having fun. I just want to say I'm really having fun and I'm like, "Oh, and also we have Tell Me Lies this week."

It took me a minute. But what's also crazy is like it's unconfirmed if this is going to be a good season. Do you know what I mean? That's kind of like how we watch Love Island. I just said that this morning

and people are trying to shoehorn it like it was amazing. It was not. But the season before was amazing and we missed that one. The season before this one was apparently amazing. Um

and we didn't watch it. But so it's like, "Oh, maybe I'll go and watch that if this doesn't turn out to be what I think it's going to be."

Yeah. And I I really I like that they're expanding. I feel like a lot of these shows like Dancing with the Stars and um what's the show? Jesse Special Forces. I really think that they're expanding like their net in terms of who they're casting and we're ending up with some great moments. So, I think they should continue to and maybe that's what like Eric was and you can't win them all obviously, but like the the wider net, the more people like throw some podcasters in there. Get like I do think

well of course it had me thinking like could I ever do the show? Would I be good at the show? And I don't think that I would be. So, I'm not going to nominate myself.

I think I would be amazing. It's literally that game The Faker. Oh, and cuz you love lying. But you you have to watch out cuz you always look up when you do.

I don't want Yeah. I would love for them to have like a mentalist on the show. Oh, did you see Oh, by the way, that's so funny. Oz Pullman. I literally thought the same thing because he was just on Ben's podcast, but also Yes.

Oh my god, it was a really big deal. So fascinating to me. Did you also see that um they're casting for regular? Like kind of like celebrity big brother. It'll be like celebrity traitors and regular.

You're not calling me regular, are you? No. No. I was just sharing facts. Like this is the biggest.

You would be a celebrity. Of course. Cast Jackie, right? No, no, but I'm saying

it'd be crazy if they casted like two people together, like a duo, like the Chryslies or something, and like one was a traitor and one wasn't. You think that they could tell they would have? No.

Well, if they could, they could trust each other implicitly. They could work together right?

And would that be a good thing? Yeah, but until a certain point because either the traders win or the faithfuls win.

Got it. Interesting. I wouldn't like I would want to be on the same team as you.

Obviously, like don't cast us if you can't put us at both as traitors or faithfuls.

Yeah. What would you rather be? Traitor. Traitors get more screen time. Duh. That's what Candace was saying. And I was like I appreciate her honesty,

but it's a lot of pressure. Like when they had to murder in plain sight like these guys just to sit around on their arms.

It's so true. Resting on their laurels. Yeah. They don't even know how good they are.

I guess I guess what's like fueling them is that they don't want to be sent home.

The faithful. Yes. But in order to not be sent home, all you have to do is sit and browse some more.

Yeah. Which I could do. Yeah. Any other thoughts? I just felt sad for Donna. I'm shocked that they made her. Oh, what also bothers me about the show is that the entire format of the show is based on producers. Like who's going to be a traitor because producers choose, right? So, it's like what is the criteria for? It's not earned really.

No, I do feel like at this point it's random cuz if you do what you they did in years past, you would try and find like the Dolores. But I think

was Dolores a traitor? I don't remember. But I mean, I don't know. But I think that they really try to switch it up. But it's like on the one hand, Lisa Rena and Donna are like the two most obvious traitors because Donna is like you want to put her in your show. She has this great cover. Even though now watching all of her scenes back, all she had to say was I'm such a big fan of everyone like that.

No, in hindsight it's so obvious. In hindsight, it's so obvious. And then Lisa Reena also actress, you know, villain will do.

They should not have made Donna a traitor, secret or otherwise. And then also making her a secret traitor was so unfair because it's so isolating for her and it's this new thing.

I think she already felt probably isolated. She's the only one who's coming on as not part of like a pack as a housewife or a gamer like with a community and she's like alone and then she's a traitor but alone at least the traitors like have each other. That was not fair.

You know what I am looking forward to like um murdering face to face. Like I do think that whoever gets murdered is going to be shocked.

Oh so it ended on a cliffhanger. Who do you think will be murdered between Caroline Stanberry? They had good reasonings.

Kristen Yeah. I think it'll be someone random. I don't like how in their, you know, what do they call it up at the top of the

um they only they talk about the reasons why they should murder someone. They never say why they shouldn't murder someone. Um so I really think it's between Eric and Kristen. I think if they mur they're like Rob would be good cuz it's random. No, if you murder Rob then Ron

Ron sorry then you will know that everyone who was like around Ron like who said the same things as him like Michael um are also not traitors and that gives them people too many clues. So say that don't say it would be good because it's random. It wouldn't be good period.

Yeah. And I do think like the whole housewives protecting housewives like they should take out Caroline because then it kind of

I think they should take out Kristen because she's so random or because she's smart and like

she's smart and she's not like being entertaining on my show. Well, oh well that's the other thing. Girl, get off my screen. Like

so Kristen or Eric um but taking out Eric doesn't do anything for them. Yeah. Um taking out Ron

Eric is the type of person who would win cuz he's so boring. If they save Ron, it really makes him look like a traitor. That's another faithful.

You will not kill Ron. Thankfully for me, but like say that in the turret. Don't say it's random. It's good. It's not.

Yeah. No, it's not. Unless like I'm playing the game better than everyone. Maybe you would be good. I don't

She doesn't like games. Cast me instead. Cast Claudia in Traders. Yeah. And you can use my original music. You can license it for free. How about that? It's a good

Would you do Traders? Um, yeah. The Scottish countryside is beautiful this time of year.

Yeah. Yeah. The show's huge. And that's the other thing I think people realize like they saw it literally made a star out of so many people last season like Dylan Efron, Gabby Wendy. And I think people also are like that's made me think like a little Michael Rapaort too. Like you're trying to make an impression like this is almost like an audition.

Yeah. The thing about Michael Rap and you could say that about anyone. What I like about Michael Rapaort is you actually can't say that about him. He can't help but be himself. Yeah.

He's not putting on like he can't. If he could, he would sit back and shut up, but he can't. And that's interesting to watch and it's very authentic.

Yes. And that it is the year of authenticity. You guys, that is our show. That's our traders recap. We'll be recapping Traders probably every Friday, right? It's one episode.

Yeah. And Fridays feel like a good time. Unless we can get screeners, then we can recap it on Thursdays.

No, but then the people haven't seen it yet. I know. But that's what like people do.

No. No, it's not. Like you literally can't unless you release your episode at 10 p.m. You can't. You're spoiling it.

Spoiling it. You can't. I don't want to spoil.
