As of November 2026, PlayStation 5 has been mentioned in 2 episodes across 2 podcasts, first heard Dec 2025 on New Heights. In an episode of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah uses the PlayStation 5 in a satirical ad offering it to potential ICE applicants as a way to divert them from enforcement work. The mention serves as a humorous counter-recruitment tactic, suggesting gaming as a more appealing alternative.

The PlayStation 5 (PS5) is a home video game console developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment as the fifth iteration of their PlayStation brand. It was announced as the successor to the PlayStation 4 in April 2019, and was launched in Australia, Japan, New Zealand, North America, and South Korea on November 12, 2020, and worldwide a week later. The PS5 is part of the ninth generation of video game consoles, along with Microsoft's Xbox Series X/S consoles, which were released the same month.
