R.O.B. is a toy robot accessory for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). Released in Japan in July 1985 for the Family Computer (Famicom) as the Family Computer Robot, the peripheral was redesigned and launched in North America in October 1985 as a centerpiece of the NES Deluxe Set bundle, where it remained available until 1988. During its retail lifespan, the accessory was officially compatible with only two games, which comprise Nintendo's Robot Series: Gyromite and Stack-Up.
