Okay, so this is not my fault. Well, sort of. I just hosted the party. These people are the ones who brought the drugs that got everyone arrested, so to speak. But let me explain for a moment. You see, when Lost Skies dropped, there were and are a number of people that felt the game needed maybe just a touch of modding. And you see, I myself wanted one thing from this, to host a large public server. But that isn't currently possible in the game yet, as Lost Skies is a sixplayer co-op for the early access build of the game. And while I wanted to host a server, my only option to make this possible would be to introduce mods. But I know nothing of how modding actually functions, let alone how to host a server bigger than six people. Or at least so I thought.

You see, in the Lost Skies Discord server, there exists a modding group with their own subset server called, and you'll never guess this one, Lost Skies Modding. Anyway, there's a small handful of individuals who have managed to figure out how to mod the game. And while they don't have any instructions per se, I was able to finesse my way into getting a mod system they made to work that cuts off the player cap, making it so theoretically any number of people can join. Although, as I would come to discover, this came with a hefty amount of desync and other issues I had no idea how to fix. But little was I aware, opening the floodgates of quote anyone into this makeshift monstrosity that I called a server is certainly not something I fully realized the scope of.

And that's what I'll be showing you poor soul saw today. Never mind the fact that I look like a skeleton or why I'm wearing a literal manta as a fleshy wingsuit glider or why this shipyard bubble is the size of Manhattan. All will be thoroughly explained or at least somewhat addressed in due time. And if you stick around to the end of the video, I'll show you how you can host a semifunctional server yourself, too. Although, God only knows how disastrous that can end for you. I feel like this is simply going to lead to some very interesting videos from people like me who won't rest until they see a dancing Meiku riding a glider in this game. Now, about a week ago, I had finally managed to get it working, modding my game to make a set 99 player cap. Now, did I end up getting this value anywhere close to 99? Definitely not. But I did manage to get around 11 or 12 people before my game nearly exploded, resulting in this

mess. Something I like to call the embodiment of desync squared. Now, part of this mess really isn't my fault here. People in the Lost Skies Discord that go by Nines and Zero Cool. These individuals were one of many to join my lovely little world as well as get into a call with me on the Lost Skies official Discord where in doing so explained that there is technically a way to install a Unity function into Lost Skies that gives you unilateral access to developer functions of the game. The first of these functions they exploited in my world was what I'm going to dub the behemoth. Now, this absolute unit weighing in at a staggering 35,200 lb and damn near doubling the max energy limit of the game was supposedly designed by nines. From what I understand, when getting access to a dev console, they were able to sort of turn off the physics limitations for their creations, as well as compile and

overlap all kinds of objects, including wings, skycore upgrades, and engines, all in nearly one single location. Now, this did have some interesting side effects where sometimes, depending on who used the ship's helm first, whether it was the person who spawned the ship in or a random normal player like me, the ship's physics would start working again, and it would just fall out of the sky. Although, we were able to get it to actually fly, which eventually led to us taking off with it, causing something like this to happen. I don't even know how many people are on this ship. Oh, we're leaving now. This guy's floating.

What the heck is happening? We hit a rock. Oh shoot. Oh no, he's still going forward. Who's flying the ship right now? Flight. I don't know, man. God. Yeah, everything's shaking so viciously. It's It's really bad. Oh my god. What the heck is this? This might need to be a rehost. I'm not going to lie. Eventually, we were forced to relog as the world with too many entities crashed into rocks, causing everyone to completely desync into one fell swoop. We were eventually able to take the behemoth to the skies and fly the thing to Shattered Peak, one of the very well-known community-made islands.

And once parking it, the two individuals who actually made this happen showed me that you can spawn in some fun items as well. These were namely the Manta Glider and the skeleton suit. This is the fit. Oh my god, there's a bunch of random guns in here. Oh, dude, what? And it has like glowing mantis stuff. Now, from a while back, I do vaguely remember the devs posting about the fact that you could wear a skeleton suit for a Saboran corpse, which is basically what this is, which I never actually realized they saved this as an item that could just technically be grabbed from the depths of whatever console they were doing or using. But interestingly, this item came with a 100 defense as well, which made it extremely powerful to wear. Now, this also came with a weird fleshy manta wings suit, which I promptly and excitedly got to put on, which creates a colorful little green and yellow particle effects on

your wingsuit's wind trail, which was pretty dang cool. Now, they also decided to spawn in a version of the behemoth to help me try and chase down another Serif boss spawn, which, yes, still had tens of maxed out engines all packed into one location, which despite being the most finicky and sensitive ship I have ever flown to this day, was able to fly over the max speed limit. So, I honestly couldn't even tell you how fast that thing actually could move. My god, this thing's so fast. You're right. I see you guys. This thing's sensitive.

trying to aim down. But don't you worry because we aren't done here. In addition to them spawning in these ships, we also got to experience MTV cribs. That's right, the thing that took my game over 5 minutes to load. It also promptly froze every person in my immediate vicinity. In place during that entire duration is a house. A pretty fine one at that, too. God, did I? No, the game is lagging so much. Just spawned in the rest. Okay, the game is lagging so much that the house the doors on the ark aren't even opening and closing. Oh god, this is so bad. I love it. All right, I'm here. I can be in the house now. I can experience the house.

Yeah, the house is this where I live. Dang. decked out with some fine planter boxes, some carpeting, glass walls and lighting, a nautilus head trophy, and even a little baby Nautilus or naughty boy if you want to call him that, in a jar, which was kind of neat. Now, before heading back to the main island, I got to use the modder's speedboat or speed ship um engine incarnate. Yeah, that feels more correct. Either way, if you want to call this thing whatever you want, at a minimum had 30 max level engines from what I could tell, which I could not even tell you how to obtain, but this thing, much like its previous ships, was able to move at insane speeds, breaking the speedometer value, although this one had an unfortunate side effect of sinking straight down the second that I used it, regardless of the fact that the previous one worked. And while I couldn't tell you how much this one weighed, given that the smallest and

lightest early game engines weighed around 300 lb, and based on my own guesstimations, these massive engines were made of pure lead and the weight of this thing must have been in or around 30 to 40,000 lb at least. Either way, because of the fact that it was so heavy the second I disconnected from the shipyard, the thing literally sank like a brick to the ground, which forced me to have to drag myself and the ship off the island until I could just move so fast that the sinking didn't even matter. Oh, what is this you spawned now? Oh, those are all engines.

What? Yeah. Oh, Christ. Do I want to know how fast this thing moves? No, I don't know how fast this one moves. I haven't taken it out yet. Oh no. Oh boy. That's cuz the meter doesn't It goes past the speedometer. Should we put it to the test? I want to put it to the test. Oh god, it's almost there. I don't know if this ship flies. This might just sink. Yeah, it might. Turn on the engines. [ __ ] it. Pull it up. I'm just on the side of the ship just chilling. What is happening? Or at least so I thought. As for whatever reason, despite being able to move likely around 100 m an hour as we made our way back to the spawn island, the ship did begin to ever so slowly sink. And as I jumped out, briefly grappled to whatever modded or glitched object that this ship was made of, my entire player camera broke, forcing me to only be able to look in one direction the entire time, which left me to slowly

sink to my impending doom below the island. Now, once I relogged and was able to spawn back in and fix this horrendous mess again and mess around with behemoth some more, I even used it to deforest an entire part of the island. Should we ram this into the trees and see how many we can take down? Yeah, see what happens. Great idea. Let's do it. This is going really well. Oh gosh, it's going. It's going my screen. My screen too is gone. This was a forest. This used to be one day. At one point long ago. Yeah. Till the serif attacked. It was definitely the serif. It was definitely the serif, guys. I'm just saying. I saw him do it.

I'm inside the island towards the white wall on the right hand side. There you go. Hello. I was behind this wall. Get it in the air. But then I realized that there's actually just a hole here. Oh, it's not really that bad. Wow, that's nice. Bad clipping. It's weirdly a lot easier than I imagined it would be. So, I can probably just slip. Oh, no. Never mind. I'm just going to glide over here. That's That's what I'm going to do. Um Oh, yeah. I love these cuz they have like no friction. Just going to do this for a while. Oh, there we go. Oh. Oh, I I banked. You banked.

What is this? Slam jump while you're laying down. It never lets you stand up. Oh, what is his legs doing? I'm half in it, dude. I almost made it out, man. You humped your way through the floor, bro. What? And even see modders max out the shipyard bubble size, which was literally the size of Manhattan. Probably even bigger than the starting island rock chunk itself, where we promptly goofed around with the glitching platform itself to ice skate around. It probably is bigger, you know. Actually, like, you're right. I didn't realize it goes this far. I was wondering why I couldn't grapple on it.

It's because it's too far, friend. Nice. I'll see you around, man. Bye. It's still going to get out of the bubble for I love how you just fly faster and faster. If you just spam space, you just gain momentum. Oh my god, you're right. Now, the last few sets of things that we really attempted to do with these guys was try and climb past the world height where they would no clip to the ceiling and try and spawn in glitch ships to actually grapple to and get to space. Although, unfortunately, that didn't really work out quite so well. It was an absolute blast being able to experience all this crazy stuff happening in my world. And honestly, with how insane it seems modding can already push this game, I'm kind of really excited to see where this will all go and if fully supported dedicated servers will ever truly become an option or not. And while it was the end of my time playing with the modders, it wasn't the end of my

time breaking the game even more. And if you're curious about what I mean by this, I'm specifically referring to item duplication. If you're like me and you keep a separate world for stocking resources and other objects for testing out mechanics or ship creations that you want to see if they actually work, then you might want to consider item duplication. Now, in the early access build of Lost Skies, this can be achieved in not one but three ways. And if you're a fellow knower of how these methods work and who otherwise don't want these glitches to be shared or likely patched out, I just want to say I'm sorry. It had to be done. And if you're a dev out there, possibly watching this video who wasn't a knower of these glitches, then you're welcome.

But uh please give me some more time to duplicate some items before you fix it. Anyway, the first of these methods is what I would consider to be the least broken and courtesy of World of Wolf, a great YouTuber who knows a ton about the many mechanics and exploits of Lost Skies. I'll link his stuff in the description. Anyways, this was the pretend metal glitch. This one is achieved due to a game glitch not understanding preferred metal limitations. And to give an example here, you can achieve this glitch by taking one of the best metals that maybe you don't have enough of or you want to have more of and placing it into your inventory with nothing else. With this metal as your selection for building something like engines, it will be forced to be your set metal. And by taking a really cheap metal in a box and putting it into your inventory, maybe it's like lead or something else. This metal cost will be fulfilled by that

remaining metal seemingly to pretend to be more of the one that you had initially selected for actually crafting a engine or whatever thing you wanted to make. And then once you actually select the object to build using the selection of the single piece that you put in the first time, you can build the cost of say a 100 metal engine for only one of that initial item. And by deconstructioning it to get half of what that cost would have been, you will profit half of the cost of the whole material that should have theoretically been spent, thereby continuously creating highquality metal out of thin air. Already pretty broken. Yeah, don't worry. It gets more broken from here on out. The next method of duplicating items and also for getting extra inventory space is the stash glitch.

This is one that I came across accidentally in my travels where by selecting an item that you don't want duplicated for crafting, then dragging it over the actual item you want, switching places with it, you can then move that item into your stash inventory, which currently is only used for holding items like the world's a drift legacy pack. Now, I don't know if this means it doesn't work on people who don't have the pack, but by dragging items here, you can then move, say, a stack of metal that you want to craft something with. And then by moving it there, and then going to craft something with only the metal that you have in your stash inventory, you can make that thing at zero cost to you. You just have to have enough to achieve that threshold. So, if something costs 100 metal, you still have to have 100 metal in your stash inventory, but then once you craft it, then it won't cost any

metal. Now, this also works if you just want to keep in here uh say ores or just foods that you want to use at your furnace to just craft an infinite number of metal basically at a furnace or an infinite number of food at your actual cooking station. This does work. So, use it at your own discretion. Uh, you do have to be careful though because if you accidentally drag an item over your data discs that sit in your stash, it will just flat out delete them and get rid of all the knowledge you spent so long collecting. This mechanic I unfortunately learned the hard way in a world of mine. And if you want to move an item back out of the stash, you can do so by performing the same click drag method to get those items back out. The last of which I will credit again to World of Wolf for this one. And it is by far, in my opinion, the most broken and simplest of glitches to duplicate items.

This one is called the storage glitch, whereby simply placing an item or any number of items and stacks of those items into a box, cupboard, whatever storage device you want to use. Then taking your Gall disc, left-clicking, and moving it to another location, placing it, and then moving it back. it will just flat out duplicate whatever number of items are in that chest whenever you deconstruct it. Now, you can also just keep moving it back and forth and duplicating it over and over and over again so that when you eventually deconstruct it, it will just exponentially spawn more and more items probably until your game completely crashes. Who is to say? But I can imagine that if you do this thing long enough that will probably happen which is pretty funny to see. Now another thing I want to show you which I recently came across which is kind of cool from another YouTuber named Arya who managed to create yes a sky train.

And no I am not joking in any sense of that word. While I unfortunately can't play the audio because they are blasting Crazy Train by Aussie Osborne throughout this which is you know fitting for what this is. They managed to tie ships together. And while I don't know their method of doing this, from what I could tell or guesstimate, it seems they achieved it by parking one ship into part of another shipyard bubble that was not fully built out. Then they created a new block frame, which happened to overlap on the placement of the outer frame of the previous ship, and then duplicated this four times for four different ships, which created some of the most wild physics interactions that I've seen in the game. So much so that they even went so far as to take this thing all the way to the boss with zero weapons, then tail whip Neurolar to death, doing hundreds of thousands of damage. By the sheer will of Thomas the

Tank Engine alone. But aside from all this, I think the coming future of mods and game functions to Lost Skies gets me really curious and excited and maybe a little terrified to see where this game is going to go in the future. As the devs continue to work on bug patches and game fixes, eventually moving to push out the next region of the game and hopefully one day dedicated server functions. I'm curious what you guys think should eventually be added to Lost Skies. is personally my biggest wants for the game as we move forward is dedicated servers, host privileges like no clip and camera modes, as well as a maybe a proximity chat. That'd be kind of nice. Although it's hard to say if those will end up being the focus of the game's development from the devs as we move past the early access build into 1.0. I think the extent of what some players and modders have already been able to achieve in a game really opens

up for some interesting possibilities for the game's future. Now, if you want to be able to break your own game using the current build of Lost Skies, I have an unlisted video in my Discord, links in the description, by the way, which outlines exactly how you can cut off your own game's player cap. And in case you wanted to put your game to the test and see how many players can actually fit into your Lost Sky world at one time before it breaks and fails, you are more than welcome to do so. And if you enjoyed the stuff that I put on here, consider leaving a like or becoming one of my amazing YouTube members to help support the channel. Either way, thank you all so so much for watching and I'll see you in the next one. Peace.
