what is up everyone in recent news IGN just dropped their newest gameplay reveal trailer for lost Skies which has beautifully outlined a bunch of the different game mechanics gameplay Loops creatures and other things that we can expect to see within the game so today we're going to cover all the latest information regarding the new trailer drop everything going on behind the scenes on how you can personally join the newest waves of players for open development testing who will actually be able to play test builds ahead of even people already in the beta as well as updates regarding information on the steam nextfest where even more people may have the opportunity to experience some of the game firsthand and even new content regarding upcoming regions for the game all of which we'll be covering in this video today but starting off with the new trailer we immediately start off seeing the main bosses that we

will encounter throughout the game sometimes referred to as Heralds or at least within lost Sky lore the serifs these creatures are responsible for the end of humanity and for causing the world of skyt islands as we know it to be shattered and fragmented with this we you also get to see some stunning videos of different creatures within lost Skies including the very iconic mantas a stag walking by within the upcoming region and even a nautilus creature that many of you likely remember from previous Skywatch updates with some very beautiful glowing foliage with this we also get to see a neat clip of the awoken characters leaving the ark which in reference to public game lore is the spawn ship in which we'll begin from at the start of the game which is where the remnants of humanity Lays dormant hiding until it is safe enough for Humanity to start a new after the seraps did their damage we also get to see a small clip

showing off the different Survival Craft tools that we will use including furnaces for cooking a crafting station and chest a small clip of the awesome Sky whale that many worlds of drift fans will likely recognize and some combat mechanics as well where a player is using what looks like a grapple yank move on one of the tank drones which we've shown off in some 3D models and Combat gameplay for in previous skywatches before and from a gameplay perspective it definitely shows how integral the grappling hook will be throughout the game itself as we've seen in the past how the grappling hook will be heavily used for both a versatile movement for the player but also in coercion with resource mining on top of Sky whales when extracting Atlas crystals in order to reel in the items with those flotation properties to collect them as well as now seeing how the grappling hook will have an interactive combat function as well and

with the devs also show off how it's going to be used in tandem with the atlas lifters for moving larger physics objects in addition they also show a very short clip of a couple players finding some skeletal remains and a data pad with the written text that says if any survivors find this data pad that damn defense turret has gone Haywire started up when we activated the energy walls and wiped out most of our group it was that or left this place completely fall apart I got hit pretty hard my last hope is sending out a data drone to find help if this is how I Ascend then so be it we are Gods based on this message we can actually gather a good bit of information here obviously whatever happened to this place the turret defenses have turned on this person but in addition we see the mention of how I Ascend we are Gods based on this messaging we can likely determine that the actual culture in this battle was

likely sorian the reason I say this actually comes from the fact that in past skywatches we've heard a lot of things about the sorians in not only their architecture their structural and clothing design designs which follow a more sharp geometrical pattern much like what we see on the mass of the actual skeletal remains in this video but also that the sorian culture was inherently based on a self-imposed Godlike affiliation this was indicated in some of the skywatches in the past that we have theorized and talked about a lot and had different hints mentioned as well even seeing how the past plans regarding the concept art and models we were able to theorize certain markers that while they were as a culture withheld Within These anti- indiv individuality and self-imposed godhood beliefs they were also not nearly as technologically advanced as some of the other cultures in a lore perspective

especially when compared to the ga which as far as we know is the group responsible for the creation of the highly Advanced arcs and many of the ga technology and tools that the players will use throughout the game with this we also get to see some of the early game building where we even see a player standing on what looks like an elevated section within the shipyard bubble itself that contains some of the holographic golf simple shaped technology that is very prevalent in the suban shipyards and some more beautiful clips of the sky ship travel with players challenging the seraps which is super awesome to finally have shown off now in regards to the open development changes very recently this past week an open development assignment was made public on the Lost SK Discord this one in particular comes directly to new people who aren't in the open Development Group the test involves the devs looking for new people to try the

demo build for the upcoming steam nextfest which the devs also have iterated that the purpose of this is that they aim to get a completely fresh batch of people that have a completely neutral stance and perspective on the game as much as possible however due to the nature in urgency in the previous announcement all of those spots where this particular wave has been filled now in relation to people that have been to the Discord and put in your application to be let into the upcoming open development waves while it's important to sign up and have a chance to be selected I would also highly recommend that you stay on the lookout within the Lost guys Discord as very often control is in immediate need of new people and often times makes mentions in the general chat that people who are still very much interested in joining are to personally message him or DM him on Discord if you want to have a better

chance to get in but with this make sure you do so when he is asking for it so as not to just flood his DMS non-stop when they aren't looking for a new wave of people in addition to all this we also know that there is a mention in the IGN trailer that we should should look out for the playable demo during the steam nextfest which supposedly will occur sometime between February 24th until March 3rd and while it hasn't been completely specified whether this means that when this happens only people who made it into the selected group from which we previously mentioned will have a chance to play the demo or not however we do know that they mention there will be more upcoming waves again where control will be trying to get in as many people as possible which is why again it's good to make sure to keep an eye on the general Discord and Discord announcements in case control decides to do any more surprise ask for personal

DMS to let more people into the open development waves I'll make sure to have everything linked below if you want to check it out in addition just a few days prior the game's lead designer Luke William and the principal game developer Tom Jackson also hosted a new live stream on Twitch which again I will have link below for you guys to check out you can rewatch the VOD where they covered a bunch of functional mechanics of the island Creator and showed off a bunch of the new upcoming content in the next region of the game called the mid Lance which is where as a player in game you will gain access to seeing after passing through the wind wall which will have a bunch of unique architecture foliage story lore and loot tables and eventually more puzzle types including the physics Cube and physics ball puzzles which you will need to use your Atlas lifters and grappling hook on to complete their respective puzzles where

you move toward the direction which the internal gyroscopic Atlas Crystal points to very similar to what some of you you might remember from Worlds of drift being used in the Marauders Compass back in the day and while for now the public only has access to the first region of the game in terms of building sky islands on the actual Island Creator I suspect that with how flushed out the Region 2 appears to be at the very least from the streams that we've been able to watch from the devs themselves we'll likely be having a new update and eventual access to the region relatively soon likely in tandem with or at least soon after the steam nextfest event in addition with this there was also a new post regarding a special pack to honor worlds of drift players where the devs made an announcement recently to commemorate the journey that previous players shared where they allowed us to vote on what items we would like to see

in Lost Skies that's unique to past worlds of drift players where these selected options included a special ship Helm ship badge worlds a drift flag character Fox mask and a worlds a drift Grappler skin which for the time being the votes are still very much open at least for another week or so where currently were sitting at a majority vote for the worlds of drift Grappler skin however that can still change lastly we have a few more updates regarding the speedrun contest where after the winner of the island votes began chose Terrace 21 there have been a number of short submissions for the fastest speedrun completion time in the Lost guys Island Creator where a player who goes by the name hold duck managed to finish the course in a staggering 59 seconds although for the time being he is in the lead opportunities are still open to take the spot and win first place as it was also mentioned that a

leaderboard is going to be made by the end of the month in regard to this actual competition but unfortunately that is all I have for you guys today there's just been an enormous swarm of new updates with the gameplay reveal trailer coming out it just gave us an amazing window into both the end of what kind of stuff we can expect to see in Lost Skies when it does eventually come out but also a window into some of the lore aspects and content that we've been able to sort of piece together slowly over time through the skywatches and if you haven't already make sure to leave a like if you enjoyed the video consider checking out my playlist on this channel which I've compiled for all the Skywatch covers and updates that we've seen in the past regarding lost Skies if you're finding yourself more curious about how the game's development has been progressing also you can check out the devs website to read those things

personally or hop on the Lost Sky Island Creator if you want to be able to get a taste of the game and design your own sky islands that could eventually make it into the actual game when it does release regardless I'll have everything linked below as usual but thank you all so much for watching and like always have a beautiful rest of your day boys peace
