so recently the Lost Sky Island Creator was released to the general public and boys it hasn't even been a month yet and y'all have already made and uploaded nearly 84 islands with even more that came out today as I am currently writing this so with so many new awesome Sky Islands coming out we're going to cover my top three favorite Community made Creations from this past month as well as some interesting news regarding a community contest which we'll get to later in this video starting with number three we have collided by budgie 94 this is a gorgeous Island creation which utilizes a very unique structure in which two floating islands have crashed into one another in the skies leaving much of the land mass and design to be left tilted and angled this design creates an interesting challenge for the player exploring which requires you to repel and climb across ancient ruins in a very unique way as well as leaving
uprooted and sometimes upside down trees that make grappling around extremely fun all while requiring to find a series of different search drones to unlock different areas of the island as well as find an underground facility which houses a gall Arc ship the origins and answers as to why the ship was sealed away within the rock of the Island still remain a mystery however the remnants left by its creator offer a bunch of different hidden loot caches to actually be discovered budgie is actually an awesome Island Creator who has been in the open development Community for quite a while actively working on and having made a ton of different Islands in the past some of which are even featured in the past sky watches before so if you haven't already I highly recommend you go and check this one out as well as the other Island Creations that budgie has awesomely put together for us to actually play for number two we have the
factory Paradise 2 by red moss this is an extremely intriguing Island that appeared recently while it's not a huge island it definitely is one that has been packed full of so many intricate details I felt that I simply had had to put this one in second place you start off in a parked Arc ship that seems to have safely made it to this island where upon venturing out you begin to follow a data drone into a series of side entrances that will ask you to help other data drones find their way slowly moving into the heart of the island you discover abandoned doorways and passages leading to all sorts of long lost and forgotten crumbling buildings raided coffins and loot Chambers as well as detailed structures indicating some sort of terrible event which occurred in the distant past to some very unlucky individuals venturing further into the factory you find a huge swath of abandoned and rusting broken Machinery
now long overgrown and becoming consumed by Nature where further off the side of the island itself you discover an interesting manufacturing or cargo Factory Bay where we find the ancient Machinery that was used to build scrap and design some unknown creation exploring the upper chambers we find what appears to be leftover parts of cargo or what is meant to be utilized as some sort of manufacturing process which was done here before seeing old world statues monoliths rusted piping and possibly replacement parts for the actual robotic arms seen holding the different cargo and other things inside the assembly line overall this island was extremely close tie to first in my opinion however I do think what makes this one fall just a little bit short compared to the final one we're going to cover is the difference in scale and custom component designs that were used but nonetheless red moss you did a great
job and truly have made an Amazing Creation for us to go through now moving on to the final Island and my personal favorite from this month we have the data research facility by drift now this island is unique in a ton of different ways not only does it hold a ton of detail while keeping a relatively large scale but it us utilizes an enormous amount of compounded Creations that drift has made and shown off in previous Islands starting off on the island we can see a bunch of different Creations that uniquely show just why this gets so much Rapport where we start by connecting some electrical powering units to an abandoned solar panel in the field as as well as taking out some guarded turrets at the door's entrance inside we find a towering metal monolith that seems to have long since ceased its primary functions climbing and repelling this Tower we are then surrounded by crumbling Rock and concrete also
encountering still somewhat functioning Machinery inside we find some kind of generator that seems to somewhat work with a fully customade control panel packed with full miniaturized light switches levers and even a shrunken data pad that indicates the machine's function reading it as it turns on it explains that the electricity is beginning to flow as the machine hums yet the communic ation Tower stubbornly sleeps calling the question as to whether or not the tiny delicate parts and devices inside might not be as corroded as the outside protective layer of the facilities are reading this WE peer out through the rubble and gaping hole in the side of the tower to see the opposing communication Tower in which swinging over to the sealed structure we can peer through the crumbling holes in its side to see what seems to be a functioning set of machinery and a lot of glowing indicating something is
actually working in there in addition this Tower seems to be supported partly by extruded supports over the abyss below from the island itself seeing long since shattered and broken off rusted piping with mysterious and unexplained purposes noticing the sealed doors we move on to explore more of the island where inevitably we come across a strange small and sealed box and peeking through the holes around it we can see some sort of glowing Electronics inside side where moving around we find a large cut block covering a possible entrance inside using the atlas lifters and grappling hook we're able to apply flotation effects to the object and discover a way inside where we find a series of unlock mechanisms and a custommade set of Terminals and a computer keyboard in which upon completing the activation of the system we make our way back to the entrance and notice a light indicator has turned
green we then make our way to the other sealed area protected by enemy turrets this time where upon taking them out we find a broken and smashed hole in the ceiling which allows us to complete the final unlock requirement to get into the main facility moving on I accidentally fall off while trying to take out some turrets but inevitably make it inside the structure where we find some massive stunning Machinery as well as more custommade terminals for the player to interact with which contains a small data pad reading it which states r and lost a Time the information in this massive data storage device will likely never be recovered the Machinery that endlessly banged on day after day now lies silent and motionless rusted and without function the only thing even remotely usable is the security door sitting at top the Elevator Shaft maybe a jolt of power would open it clearly indicating that turning on the generator
or power system was needed moving around we find endless piles of crumbling parts and beautiful yet destroyed elevator with even a neat little customade button set panels on the left side when we actually go inside looking around we find that you can actually still reach the top by grappling up the Elevator Shaft itself where we make it to a small room containing little wood cargo crates with different chests and loot crates as well and in addition to this we also see the top side portions of the Towering data storage device that is mentioned in the data pad at the bottom making it to the top we enter what must be the heart of the data research facility securely Locked In by a powerful energy wall and likely kept functioning by some sort of energy reserves functionality we are surrounded by a stunning yet terrifying scene lines of computers and monitors seats and control panels Dead and
leftover remains from an unknown origin the walls are lined with data banks surrounding some sort of device that's levitating surrounded by a spherical structure clearly affected by the flotation properties of Atlas illuminated only by the spilling light outside and the glowing butterflies that surround the room it depicts a stunning yet mysterious scene of some tragic event it's not clear whether the scientists using this machine had a greater unknown purpose nor what led to their deaths than the sealed away facility but regardless I think Drift made an absolutely amazing Island Cru cretion one that is jam-packed full of so many awesome details and not only so many Custom Designs but while intricately tying together different puzzles and buildings while creating an effective story that hints at what the player might be thinking and simultaneously leading you to uncover more and more about the island not to
mention the many different smaller details and caches on each of these three islands that I intentionally left out so that you can still uncover them yourself in the future now as to the news update while the first phase of this contest is reaching its end on the 10th of January the devs of lost guys are currently hosting their first island creation contest where on the Lost guys Discord thread you can submit your own Island creation speedrunning Island where after this day the community will vote on the island that they think is the most interesting or fun to speedrun and once that island is selected Phase 2 will begin where in this thread the winning selected Island can be played by anyone in the community and their speedrun completion time will be submitted by a YouTube short or Facebook Instagram or any social media of the Lost guys hashtag that you actually submit to the contest or Link in the
Discord where the winner for the fastest speedrun will receive one month of free Discord Nitro and the winner of the actual Island creation itself will receive a full year of Discord Nitro so even if you didn't have a chance to make your own submission for the content test you can still have a chance to win a prize lastly on other related news many of the devs have been coming back from a well-deserved break and have gotten started back up on the next phase of actual game development which we will surely hear more about in the coming future but in addition I believe two full new waves of people have been selected to join the open development Community by control for actually play testing the game builds and again if you are at all interested in doing so I highly recommend you join the Discord all the links you need will be in the description of this video where you can ask any and all questions regarding the
game as we have a very super active community in my opinion but that is unfortunately all I have for today but nonetheless it has been super awesome to see so many new islands being made since the island creators release so remember to stay healthy stay well and like always have a beautiful rest of your day boys peace
