When I first awoke, I had two main goals that I wanted to achieve in my world. The first of which being to slowly uncover more of the story of Lost Skies, and secondly, to build a sky ship capable of taking down Serif. However, while these goals remain far out of my reach for now, I need to begin by gathering all the necessary resources to get myself off this rock which the Ark had seemed to crash land on. It's a bunch of stuff down here. Yeah, I think it's going to be very interesting and fun here. Really excited to try out everything in this uh this region of the world before we get into the the new content that's going to come out.
for uh region two. So, I heard that there's quite a lot of uh storylord drop actually thus far regarding the uh the giant structures in the skies. As I made my way through the caverns of the beginning part of the island, I slowly began to uncover the story that led to the demise of the inhabitants where the serif turned their own technology against them, leading to a total obliteration of what was left. By this point, I was only picking up the mere scraps, the leftovers of the people that lived here. Nice. Now, I'm going to need to get this dust here. So, might as well fasttrack it. But I do know that uh grabbing it by hand gets you more. After gathering a handful of Atlas dust from the little nautiluses that floated around, I went on to continue fighting a handful of turrets that were guarding a way further down the island. Having this Atlas dust would be useful for me later on in terms of actually getting Atlas
lifters. I'm really excited to um test out maxing out engines cuz I've done some playthroughs, but I haven't actually gotten to uh max out the leveling on a lot of my weapons and engines and actually explore a lot of the uh really really nice devade islands as well. Those shotgun turrets are terrifying. They blow you away. Now, this is art that kind of explains the uh the wars that happened between the different factions that were involved, I guess, between Saber or the Kiyoki or whoever else was involved. Obviously, regarding Atlas, for sure.
Before I'd eventually begin building my ship, I started by collecting different items that I came across throughout the different puzzles in the island. Collecting different cores as well as weapon propellants, which I would later on need down the line. Oh, they changed the audio on this. More of a fizzle. Beautiful
over here and start getting some uh tools put together. Start mining a lot of these uh these ores and trees that I need to get. Now, real quick, I know I'm going to need to grab an Atlas lifter. I don't seem to have the materials for one. Suppose I didn't unlock it. That'll be part of the reason. Slap this boy on here. Love the flotation effects on this. It's really cool. Going to move on. Come on. There we go. Much better. This is where you felt the rupture occur.
Okay, we're not going to talk about my aim. No mas. No mas. I don't miss. He's gone now. Taking him out. Now is when we feel the rumbling. By this point, we don't currently yet know what caused the serif to come or what caused them to actually arrive and damage the place and attack its people. However, by this point, I suspect it had something to do with mining of Atlas. Something about how much was being taken from the land likely had something to do with their arrival. Look at that thing. It's terrifying. Well, I think that's our cue to uh start building a shipyard. Don't you think?
You ask me. That right there is the goal. We need to take that thing down. After gathering the different tools that I would need in order to collect resources, I quickly began gathering trees, wood, and all different forms of ores, as well as metals and materials in order to get a preliminary ship together. Got to say, I quite like the mini game that's involved in cutting down these trees. When mining ores in caves or above ground, sometimes you can spawn modus beetles, which do do projectile attacks against you, but if you manage to take them down, they can be quite useful for getting some fiber sinnus, which are also useful for crafting a handful of different components, as well as different things like research tables and upgrades. A lot of iron smelt, that's for sure. Yeah, nearly 300 iron should be somewhat helpful.
So, we're together new ship now. We'll call it Chip. Quite like Chip. Nice. Starting with constructing the framework of the ship, I then moved on to put on a helm as well as my ship sky core in order to allow it to float, as well as a few panels in order to get me around where I needed to go. And I do have a basic Saboran helm. I do also have a uh founders flag as well. Before fully completing my ship, I decided to go around the island collecting different resources from mantas in order to gain their hides for different crafting materials, as well as conductive vessels, which would be useful for crafting different important crafting tables and different objects I would need later on down the line. However, after collecting everything that I needed, I eventually came across a new facility that sat at the furthest and highest most part of the island. While it did contain resources that I definitely would need later on, more
than that, it contained murals that depicted images of the past. Art in here that looks cool. Seems to tell a kind of story of some kind. Clearly something involving the Sarif and whatever they did. The mural depicted a terrifying end to what may have once been a great Saboran civilization. On the left, we see what looks like a massive entity laying waste to an entire island of equal size. And on the right, we see markers of what appears to be some kind of rift. Now, while only fragments of the story lay here, it seemed as though the serif's arrival is what brought about the havoc to this land. However, when taking a closer look at the data logs of the fallen Saborian soldiers, their stories seem to depict that rather than the serif causing the rupture on the island itself, the lands themselves rupturing is what caused them to become attracted toward the island, clearly implying there might be
more to this story than we yet understand. However, it seemed there was little I could gather from this place. I would need to go elsewhere to get a better understanding of the truth. After exploring the remainder of the island, I began compiling all my ship necessities and preparing the necessary sails storage along with my ever more important flag of the old world. Nice. All right, let's get going. I'm actually thinking I go to that one on the left over there. That's west. Seems interesting. Let's keep going for that one. And some respectably good speeds. I think 20 to 25 knots. Got some Got a nice little under area. Got a little storage box. I think we're looking pretty good right now. Too short on cloth.
Cloth is an expensive luxury. Oh. After sailing our way to the small island far off in the distance, I quickly set up camp, placing down a shipyard to hold my ship. Let's get a shipyard built here. I quickly found the remnants of different small crash dingies on the islands. Leftover logs seem to indicate that previous Saboreans pinged a distress signal and that they were coming to stop by here to gather supplies, obviously implying something here prevented them. The lack of bodies nearby led me to believe something lay below. Exploring the island, I quickly found sealed off entrances to the caverns, leading to what appeared to be an atlas mine, absolutely brimming with serif tech and mind atlas alongside the pickaxes, drills, and mechanical machinery that was likely used to extract the resources.
However, the closer I began to look, it seemed more to me like the serif, rather than trying to consume the atlas caves they infested, seemed to merely surround it, almost as if it were protecting it. happened here. Not exactly sure what, but something switches.
Some gear actually I can wear some kind of altar room. Definitely more history. This is clearly one of the Saborian mines used for finding Atlas. Need to get some better weaponry as fast as possible. Some of the Serif nanotech to use. That'll be helpful. This is kind of cool. This is an old chain of something. Oh, this leads back. This is that area held off. Okay. The energy wall. We learn all this stuff. What kinds of foods? mountain cannon, scrap barrel piping from panels. If I start getting more of this moved in here.
After completing a loot run of the mines and making it back to my ship, I quickly researched many of the new found schematics as well as depoted the resources I had on hand. By this point, I had now discovered a schematic for making a cannon. However, while risky, I decided to hold off until they would become more necessary going further out. However, by this point, I wouldn't yet realize the mistake that I had truly made. There we go.
Few little campsite with buckets over a fire, though. Regardless, by this point, I collected many of the different resources that this island had to offer. So, I began gathering my things and continued to head west. Hit up that one in front of us. Yeah, let's go for it. It's kind of like an ice cream. Off we go. Zooming away. Wanted to change where I was going to go. Thinking rather than rather than go to the uh ice cream cone island over there. I'm going to go to this one right here. There a bunch of lights down there.
Okay. Feels like an interesting island. There's a nautilus down there, actually. Don't know how strong that's going to be though. That might be a an iffy thing. We'll see though. Yo, what is that jellyfish? I haven't seen that one. Remember that being on the list of uh animals in this game. It's kind of cool. I want to grab it, though. Oh, nice. Just pick it up. Oh, Nautilus is eating a little bug. Wonder if I should try killing it. I definitely need to be careful if I want to actually take him down. I'm going to leave him be though for now. He can he can chill out.
He'll be okay. Figure out what this is. Oh, it's kind of like an island embedded city or something. That's kind of cool. After making it to the new island, I managed to find a force field that seemed to cover the top hole as well as an entrance somewhere on the island. Climbing around toward the bottom, I managed to find different holes as well as caves that contain copper ore. Wow, look at this. What kind of ores are actually on this island? Copper. Okay, I definitely need to uh take a minute to like analyze a lot of these minerals and ores cuz some of them have really uh advantageous properties that I can actually get a lot of benefit out of.
Well, is too many secrets. All the loot abandoned down there. I just can't can't figure out how to get up from the bottom floor. I won't leave without that loot. Well, he definitely stayed true to his word. Eventually, I managed to climb all the way around the island and found an entrance near the bottom. Below was a cylindrical structure which contained a series of different options in order to open the next series of energy walls.
Oh, okay. So, it was that they both needed to be facing a direction, not that just one was. That's That's good to know at least. Nice. There we go. Okay, that's how you start this one. Dang, there's two healing drones. Detected by a series of heal drones as well as attack drones, I managed to slowly navigate my way to the next stage. Finding there was actually a three unlock mechanism in order to get to the next part. I was able to finally unlock the doors to actually get through. And that should allow me to complete the circuit and follow that guy too. That one.
Yeah. Okay. I assume. Yeah, there was one more over here. That should open up that last section. Oh man, my inventory is full. Might need to uh come back around and get a quick depot and research all these parts and valuables I have. After exploring the rest of the island and running back to my ship to depot, I managed to get a hold of a propeller engine schematic, as well as an upgraded wing type as well. After researching these, I began adding additional storage to my cargo bay to make room for more items, as well as taking some time to upgrade and advance my wing to level 5, as well as a traveler sail for helping generate lift for up and down movement with my sky core. With this, I also upgraded my newly discovered box pile bait engine in order to boost its resilience and power output before eventually installing them on my ship.
Our ship looks like a mess. I love it. Perfect. All right. Well, we'll just have to get to another island and uh once we do so, we get some more resources cooking that we need. After getting my things together on the island, I decided to take off and start heading toward the ice creamshaped island on the edge of the horizon. While flying through, I noticed a small dark patch of clouds down below. Although unclear, I decided to continue to head on without knowing exactly what it was or what it might have been for. What is that? Why is there a dark patch down there?
I think I might head down there in a second. Okay, we'll explore this island. If that dark patch is still there, we're checking it out. It's going to have to slowly rise up. Slowly but surely. We can scale this bad boy. What's over here? Oh, there's loot in there. I see you. This might be a uh Saboran training ground. We'll find out once we reach the top. It's great. There's a lot of holes to go down. I'm going to check out this crate here at first actually before I go in the main entrance. I can slip through here.
Ooh, loot room. Okay, see what this is. Oh, aluminum. I do remember correctly, aluminum is one of the most valuable or materials to make stuff out of. So yeah, I'm going to take every ounce of this aluminum for sure. Appears this person was trying to translate this ancient runstone. Enter here, brave warrior, to test your might. Here lies the Saborian training ground where only the strongest and smartest warriors can ascend to godhood. Pass through the dangerous heart to find true knowledge and vast riches down there.
Try and take out the last turret. Be really careful though. That thing will one-shot me as we've come to discover. Got to be a switch somewhere. There we go. Wow, this thing's big. A very strange glowing aura around me right now. This is really weird. Let's go get it. Oh, dang. Okay, something happened here. My mission take the precious knowledge of this place back to the data research facility. Thanks and best of luck. Oh, look at that. Drift cross referencing his islands. That's smart. I saw a door up there. Yeah, there is a door.
Nice. old shelving and stuff. Welcome to the maintenance room 2A. You're a runner in the obstacle course. You're out of bounds. Please return to the playing field. If you are Carl, you didn't turn off the auto turret spy storage room in beta again. Philip was almost shot. This is your last form. I need an upgraded weapon. After continuing to explore the Saboran training ground, I eventually ran out of ammo and was forced to survive and get past the turrets using just my mining tool. However, after much trial and error, I was eventually able to get to the end of the facility and get a ton of different loot and resources that I would later need down the line. I could grapple to the other side at the door quickly hit every switch and then right when that wall of turrets opens up to kill me technique of fast grapple. Oh, there's the guy.
Thank you. Perfect. mostly free. I need to find me one that has a uh an arc so I can actually research all this stuff. So, right now I have everything I could possibly need in terms of items, but I can't really do much with it until I can actually research stuff. After fully exploring the Saboran training grounds, I eventually made my way back to my ship. From here, I decided to head out and sail to a new place, taking note of the fact that I needed to eventually come across an ark in order to actually research and learn new technologies, which I would later need.
Thinks back down. Okay. So, I just need to start moving forward then. Should probably head back toward an inland direction, though. While it appeared that no visible arcs were easy to see nearby, traveling off into the distance, a rolling storm or cloud formation rolled on by, completely blinding my visuals to where I was going. I didn't realize I came out of the clouds already. There's an island here, but I don't see any arcs. I came across an interesting island that seemed to have a large tree somewhere near the center surrounding a giant atlas crystal. Certain point, I should uh go find an island with an arc. But I'm already here, I guess. Might as well.
Well, altitude's at least decreasing, so It's better than before where it wasn't doing anything. While I had made it to a new island, I quickly realized my mistake in choosing not to put cannons on my actual ship. As these islands, whilst far out, consequently came with the fact that they were armed with extremely powerful mantas that could easily destroy my ship if they so much as lifted a finger, as I will come to quickly realize. Oh no.
I don't have the materials. This is really bad. This is really bad. This is really bad. Where is the materials? I need a freaking paint printing matrix. Build, build, build, build. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. Let's build. Get up. Hide. Oh my god. Mantas. They are going to destroy this thing. These are upgraded boys. And I have no ammo. Metal. Definitely dead. Oh. [groaning] As the mantis continued to swarm my craft, I tried to pull back out and try and send it forward in order to actually lock in automatically with the shipyard.
Though, as I quickly realized, the mantis puppy guarding my helm made it extremely difficult in order to safely get it down to where it needed to be. Oh gosh, I'm stuck under this thing. Oh my god. Please, come on. Come on. Go back up. Go back up. We got to take this. Please just go in. Please lock it. Please. Please. There we go. Okay.
There we go. My god, the bubbles made. After finally docking my ship with the shipyard, I slowly began to take out the remaining mantas that had been holding down and damaging my ship for the entire time. Well, we are finally functioning and uh we're alive and the ship is alive. So, I think that's a success. See, this would be a time where I would like to be able to use a repair gun, but you see, I didn't find an arc. So, yeah.
Nice. Oh, there's an arc here. Perfect. Totally thought there was no shot. Might as well continue exploring here and get as much as I uh as I can knowledgewise since I already have an arc. This is very pretty. I will say this is uh quite the gorgeous scene. I began exploring many of the different parts of the island. Finding a large islandwide data relay puzzle, I then began to connect them to each other to figure out where it would go. This island will be very interesting to learn more about. Definitely some interesting stuff going on down here.
These little wooden scaffolding pieces hanging out. I first began by connecting the data relay puzzle that existed on top of the island. Slowly connecting the links together, I eventually ended up at a abandoned section of crumbling building that was hanging off the edge of the island. Oh, the window there. Okay, nice. Oh, shoot. Although I don't realize it now. Going inside later on, I eventually [snorts] find a data bank as well as a handful of different loot items, including Saboran tech briefs.
Interesting. Oh, no. It was just they were connected. Half deck. Okay. To this I need to know what this is about. Also, there's a Nautilus. I should probably go check him out in a second, too. When I finally got to the tree, I found that it was surrounding a giant Atlas crystal. Belowing this cave, I quickly found three drones that eventually flew upwards and out toward the island. Once I climbed back out, I quickly realized that I lost track of all three of them, which would inevitably send me on a wild goose chase around the entire island until I could find them all again.
I lost them all. They disappeared. Oh, there is one here. Oh, they went to these pillars. Yeah, so maybe it's they're going around the island, scanning like artifacts or something. Before fully solving the puzzle, I took some time to continue exploring the inner depths of the island, finding some very strange and alienike puzzle rooms that I wasn't able to fully solve out. Going back to my ship, I managed to research a handful of different schematics that I had collected, as well as stopping by the actual ark in order to get a connection going with the original programming.
There you are. Nice. Come to the art network. Researching further, I found that according to the ark files, Saber was a military superpower which hid its secrets well. The data disc collected from the banks are what allowed us to gather more information on their society. However, further questioning into their rituals explained that they believed in the realm of godhood called athereum, a collective consciousness that only worthy individuals could join. They believed in guiding principles that each citizen strived to follow which accumulated in performing this ascension of somewhere called the rising place which appeared to be a ritualistic suicide where once a citizen felt they achieved the life of a god they would ascend and as the result of this practice they were very few elderly saborans as reaching old age was seen as a result of failure to achieve one's life goals equally as much they were an
isolationist society compared to the rest of the foundation However, since their old ways were seen as extreme by the rest of the world, they were greatly feared for their overwhelming military might. As many citizens believe serving their country through battle was a best means of achieving ascension. Realistic here. Hear a data disc in there. Oh, this door opened a little. Actually, didn't see this at all. Yo, this looks sick. What was he making on there? A bunch of tools and stuff. It's actually really cool. A shotgun one, too. Was hurt.
These are all kind of like broken through. Can't get in there yet. It's got to be like a gap. Oh, I see. There we go. There we go. Some flawless tin as well. That doesn't help me find the last data drone though. That's the only uh predicament I am still in. feel like I've checked all those. After exploring much of the island, I eventually decided to take down a nautilus, harvesting its resources, I also collected nautilus meat and eventually decided to move on from finding the rest of the drones surrounding the island as they were extremely well hidden, which made it extremely difficult in order to actually find and completely solve out the puzzle that remained at the bottom of the tree. Eventually, I decided to start working on my ship and adding an additional engine that was upgraded, as well as two vertical sails to help with my up and down movement when changing my altitude using my Atlas core. With these
upgrades, I finally decided to take off from the island once again and try and find something else that might actually benefit me more. I think that's the same. Perfect. All right. All right. Let's undock. Check out the island down there, actually. That one looks good. We're making pretty good speed. 25 to 30 knots. I think we're looking pretty fire if you ask me. It's very speedy. Elevation changing is much faster, that's for sure. Definitely having those sails on there helps with that. Before we were barely moving up and down at all. So, this is definitely an improvement for sure. Wonder though how it affects the sky core. Okay. Yeah, we're pretty good on weight. I'd say energy consumption's getting up there for sure. So, I would like to be able to get enough knowledge to get an upgrade to that just to like reduce the overall energy consumption ratio. Do want to get myself some weapons on this thing
actually. It's looking pretty good, but um it could definitely do for uh some better means of defense for when there's like mantas and stuff like that coming in. Respectively, I was about to eat my own words here, as in my opinion, the balancing in this game thus far currently stands to be quite unbalanced to say the least. And coming to an island like this, I would sorely regret not having put a single weapon on this ship until this point. Oh, this thing looks massive. Whatever this island is. There are some ruins in this place.
It's hard to pick a good spot. There's not a lot of flat land on this. I'd almost want to be on top of one of those buildings. I got to back up carefully here. I think that's a tank drone. Oh, that is a tank drone. Oh, this is not good. I did not come prepared. Oh no, I did not come prepared at all for this island. Did all my loot fall? Okay, if I want to land this, I'm going to have to go really wide cuz either all my loot just fell and it's gone forever now or it's far down by those mantas that can easily one-shot me.
Okay, I see a good spot over here, I think. That sucks. That was everything I needed for a shipyard, too. There's all my aluminum. Oh shoot. Oh my god. I did not think this far ahead. Okay. I don't have any crystals, I don't think. Yeah, I do zero damage to this guy. Okay, I'm going to need to get the heck out of here. Oh man, they're following. Oh no, not like this. This is real bad. I'm also going extremely slow now because I lost my sails. These boys did a number on me. After managing to escape the mantas on the island, I decided to go ahead and try and escape from it and fly elsewhere. As I quickly realized, by the time I was there, many of the mantas and enemies on this island were way out of my leveling range as well as weapon capacity range in order to actually handle them. As I would quickly find out, it seemed the tiger mantis were easily able to not only one-shot me, but obliterate components of my ship
in which when I inevitably decided to leave, I had lost many of my sails as well as panels for the flooring near my ship's helm. Yeah, this thing is uh I am very very underleveled for that. One of the major setbacks I had here was dying very early on and near the edge of my ship. Having lost all my items when I initially got here due to the mantis, I no longer had any Atlas crystals in order to make a shipyard and consequently repair anything on my ship, let alone have it stay protected. Moving on, I eventually came across a silo island of some kind. It seemed to contain what was the remnants of nuclear warheads and missiles with a series of different data drones leading to unlocking different mechanisms and loot crates. It was packed full of different custommade terminals and oldworld designs that I didn't exactly recognize. By the time I had fully completed the exploration of this island, however, I decided to
continue moving on as there wasn't any information regarding what happened to the world here. Neither was there an arc as well. to get more information in terms of research. Oh, I never grabbed my repair gun. Okay. See what this is at. Oh, it doesn't cost material to repair this. It's kind of nice. Perfect. That helps a lot. Eventually deciding to leave, I eventually came across the outer reaches of the outskirts area. Finally coming across the grand inventor's mansion, I would quickly get to see all the beautiful and stunning scenery as well as different museum articles of bones, including sky whales and tools from the old world and even ship models shrunken down to player size. However, while it was a stunning place to visit, it also was extremely overlevelled for what I was able to handle. Many of the shotgun turrets, sniper turrets, and other enemies on it were easily outclassing my
weaponry and also armor in order to fend it off. It's not allowed around here, so I'm just going to head back. There's an island down here. Totally did not notice this one, though. I reckon we should probably head down. See what we can get out of this one. A couple extra data banks before we uh make our way eventually over to Shattered Peak. Definitely want to get some more engines on this thing. As well as wings if I could uh manage that. Oh, right. I still don't have any crystals. Forgot about that. Be able to get this later.
Forgot the um bodies are messed up. I think I know how to fix this one. It's the number of rocks on the ground, right? One. This is two. This is three. That's five. So, this will be four. more than five. Oh shoot. There we go. Nice. Little bit of extra loot here. I missed a lot of these um items I probably should have gotten early on. Thankfully, I should be able to find some actual Atlas dust, I would assume, in this forest somewhere. Nice. Oh shoot. Didn't want to do that.
Nice. Mostly simple stuff. Looks like interesting how the uh giant thing in the sky seems to look bigger at nighttime. I will say not sure if there's an actual intention for that, but let's go ahead and build this um shipyard though. We're going to have to build a furnace first. Go right there. Perfect. How many pieces do I need? It's the real question. can get some atlas made. Perfect. I have one though. I think there is one. Yeah, there's five in here that that'll cover me. Okay, finally get an actual shipyard down.
And then get some wood as well. Oh yeah, we lost all of our tools, didn't we? We finished up here. Let's go ahead to the uh ark real quick. Start learning some stuff. Like to unlock that glider. That'd be kind of nice. When I finally reached the ark, aside from researching new components, I was able to increase the size of the Ark network and gain a little bit of information regarding the history of the world. By talking to the computer, the Ark was able to discover data history regarding a person of interest named Al Sabana. as she is credited as the person responsible for discovering the anti-gravity properties of Atlas, mentioning that the research itself was carried out in the year 2687 at Pana University, a world famous institute that pioneered technologies from the old world. She also supposedly led many of the experiments into the prototype skyhips that eventually changed the world as we know it. The only details of
her character being mentioned that she was a dark-skinned woman with silver hair. Born into the hyoki to Kareem parents. At age 8, she was brought to the Gaul in hopes of gaining admittance towendalor institute which appeared to be a place for developing young minds and talent where the only other details mentioned was that she did die at quite a young age of 27 due to malnourishment and for some reason or another. Okay, let's learn some stuff. can upgrade to our Atlas core. That'd be actually really useful. Cannons I'm not so worried about just cuz kind of already have stuff for that. So, think we get a few more data discs or data data banks and we'll be good to go.
We're making our way there though for sure. Oh, there's one over this way that I haven't gotten. And then we didn't open that cave over to the side. So, actually, there might not be one over here. I'm not too sure. Some turrets.
There we go. Nice. Another baby nautilus. Be real careful over here. Do not need to get Oh, what? Oh my god, that's so terrifying. Stop. What am I looking at? Is it over? Is it gone? Jesus. That's gone.
Wait, why isn't this one open? Oh, is there more? There might be more down here. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Wasn't crazy difficult. Nice. really want to get those um upgraded engines on my ship just so I can get around a little bit faster and then get those of course leveled up more too cuz even as is they're probably not going to be as good as my level 11 engines that I have that are a little they're worn but they're still good. And then at some point I do need to find the SSD that's required in order to uh get a higher leveling on my actual schematic upgrades as well.
Perfect. Looking pretty good though, I must say. I think it looks pretty dang fire. Okay, a little bit faster. Not crazy, but little nominal increase in speed overall. This is why I need to get a non-scrap together ones. Oh, that's actually a proper engine. Well, on our way off to Shattered Peak.
That moon is very, very pretty. Think we just park our ship on this uh open clearing over here. Nope. Did not realize how low this was. It's perfectly fine. It's exactly how it should be. There is nothing wrong with this ship. Oh, perfect. over and check around for some more datab banks. I already see one over there. It's perfect.
Reload. Nice. It's like another thing here, too. Perfect. Let's do a passageway down here. Yes. Here we go. Almost didn't make that one. Uh-oh. Oh, I shot it back open close. That was almost bad. Nice. Oh, yeah. I got the hip lamp light. I like this. Nice little loot room. Oh, I see. There we go. Now we're all good. Oh, that spawner.
Do need to figure out where this thing starts though. Yeah, this might be it. Here we go. Turn this around and get much good loot here. Got a small, medium, and large chest and a statue of Telmon, I'd presume. Wooden figure head. I don't really need that necessarily. After exploring the remainder of the island, I managed to find another ark that still sat on the island. Here, I was able to research a new ship bubble upgrade, as well as weapons to eventually use. When doing so, I was able to provide the AR computer with more information for the data itself, which told me more about the history of the world. According to the logs, there were some significant events around the year 2990, where the logs indicate the likely arrival of the Serif came at about 3040. Consequently, the countries all over the world started experiencing minor earthquakes, a geological event where the very ground beneath you was shaken. These quakes
were unusually centered around the more metropolitan areas, only beginning as a nuisance, which eventually increased more and more over the years. Something in the log seemed to leave a mention of an event called the emergence, which currently is hypothesized to imply that these beings came from underground somewhere. However, while this understanding is unclear, many worldwide conspiracy theories seem to imply that the atlas being harvested in mass created instability in the Earth's environment. The logs also mentioned that while the past serif seem to be of much greater strength to cause such a catastrophic damage to the foundation of the world, the remains of them today seem to be much weaker, likely due to the long passage of time. Regardless, by this point, I felt I had expended everything I could get from the island, more or less. But before leaving, I went ahead and researched my new found
engine and replaced my old ones with the new square frame pace setter engines, which had a higher acceleration. With this, I also added a few more storage crates and built a new on ship furnace to help with creating needed Atlas crystals in the future without having to place down a new one on the ground every single time that I landed on an island. In addition, with this new load of better engines with a higher energy cost, I installed a new Atlas enhancer to increase the total core weight cost, as well as the core energy maximum for the ship, where after a couple restructured placements for the ship internals, I was actually able to finally head off to a new island.
I do remember they said they were planning to add a patch to uh make the ship optimizations a little more balanced. So, I feel like after that coming patch, they'll definitely be a little more considerate when it comes to upgrades for the ship. Cuz these engines I built should in theory be doing a lot more for me than they actually are. Looking good though. Not crazy increase in speed, but it's uh it's respectable. I do think I should probably look into getting uh ship cannons as well or some kind of weapon cuz uh if I head back to those islands again and get merckked by those mantas, I'm going to uh I'm going to regret it.
You know, the only thing I'm missing on this bed on this actual ship is a bed. Maybe that's what I'm missing. Truly, that could be that could be the cure all. Can I build this without being in a shipyard? Oh my god, it's going to let me. Perfect. Exactly what I needed. Time to lie down. Beautiful. Get some good sleep. After traveling through the skies, I eventually came across a strange underground island and a large above ground structure. Further checking it out, I quickly realized that the place contained a massive underground maze, which I genuinely could not solve.
I think I must have explored the thing for over an hour and a half. And while yes, I did get good resources and loot and other datab banks that I wanted for later. In truth, I simply became way too frustrated to fully complete this thing. Although there was a hole on the side of the maze about halfway through, which allowed me to quickly leave, which truly was a lifesaver, as that maze was so massive that even leaving markers throughout and running through it very meticulously for about 100 times, I would often even lose the entrance itself as well.
Assume this island's native ore is going to be zinc just based on what I'm getting out of the chest here. Look like my ship's been drifting a little bit. Got a lot of good loot. All right, let's continue off going uh where are we going? Norththeast. Yeah, northeast. So, after gathering my things and taking off, I eventually made my way toward a stunning island with a mysterious tower touching the skies above and reaching far down below into the abyss. Here, I would find a very interesting trove of tombs. However, getting to this island and surviving would be a priority I didn't yet fully understand, as choosing not to put on any weapons on my ship up to this point was about to become a deadly and costly problem that I would soon regret.
something. Oh, huge tower. Oh my god, look at that. Slow down real quick. Oh man, we might get heavily attacked here. So, I'm going to have to park this thing. Oh man, I do not have any of the materials I need.
O, that's not good. That is really bad. Printing matrix. Come on. Come on. Build. Destroy my ship. Oh no. Destroying me. And they one-shot me. Okay, this is really bad. I did not think this through. [groaning] They one-shot me every time. 100% of the time. What do I do? I can't get my stuff. I just can't get it. It's crazy how fast their reaction time is. After being continuously pummeled and seeing no way out, I decided to get off temporarily. But even in doing so, the game would unfortunately glitch out and my ship would get completely destroyed, killing me in the process. Inevitably, when I came back, my ship was completely gone.
There was nothing left. Well, long story short, I um I died. Those mantas and their attack pattern uh would oneot instakill me uh every time. So, as it would appear, I've uh spawned at a new ark on a brand new island. I have no clue where I am at all. All I know is that my loot is that way and I'm here. So, uh, we're just going to have to explore and um hopefully find something useful. This does look like a very cool island, I will say. Gorgeous. Now, then if I'm being honest, but we we have literally nothing. I should have st I should have stashed some metal in my stash, honestly. and and done something with that, but I I unfortunately did not I don't even have stuff to make uh tools out of. So, yeah, that's where that's where we're at right now.
It's just uh kind of scrambling for quite literally anything I can get my my dirty paws on. Seems like a very cool place though given that it's like old shops and stuff too. Dang, this place is kind of sick. It's a broken roof over here. It's a dead body. I've managed to seal it. The monstrosity below. I left the drone at the back of the island. I need to work on a door to seal the entrance, but I don't have the energy right now. I think I might just rest a while. What the heck? This is a really cool place. Extremely detailed.
Just going to follow this data drone. See where it takes me. Stuff up here though. Some nylon cloth. Couple doors looks like. Okay, this is the way back out. Oh, some uh data banks over here, actually. All right. Well, we're going to have to uh make and throw together a scrap of a sky ship and uh hope for the best. All right. Nice. Very
cool. I don't think there's any chests over there. Yeah, I know. It's probably just one of the unlocking conditions. Yeah, one of those is is blue, so I would assume. Might as well get this one, too. That's a lot of spikes. Dang, this is cool. Stuck in spikes. Oh, nice. Is that everything? Oh, we need one more. I assume that's the middle one. [clears throat] The final out of the three.
Very cool. Whoa. It's kind of ethereal. I'm not going to lie. Nice. Is it the Atlas crystal that he sealed below? Is this it? Is that the monster thing? It makes me wonder if maybe this had to do with the serif. Like if that was what was trapped below previously.
Maybe this place had something to do with it. Oh my god. This ball fell. Nice. Very cool. I should be able to get back in here. Assume this is open. Yeah. Nice. Neat. Okay. Got some interesting gear. I mean, I can't really use most of this cuz kind of already wearing it, but some frames, schematics, things like that. It's a very pretty place. Uh, regardless though, I'm going to need to rebuild a sky ship from scratch here, which means I'm going to need tools. I'm going to need some uh shrimplets, but if there's none on this island, then I will be screwed.
So, I'm really hoping I find some. Otherwise, I will let they keep respawning at the ark. Thankfully, I should have enough ammo to take these out. These drones actually somewhat fight. [clears throat]
Not bad. There's quite a few here. Printing matrix. Definitely need one of those. Okay. Don't think I can get any uh Atlas shards or crystals from the actual Nautilus themselves. [clears throat] You believe it has to be an actual loading baby.
It's a cool little farm though. There's a little data drone here. Oh, it goes below. Yo, what the heck? This is strange. There's here at least thankfully. Oh man, there's something blue. Whoa. What is this?
Oh, maybe that's what the guy trapped below. That might be it. This is the thing. Oh, shoot. There's another one. Yo, what the heck? That is menacing. There's a sniper turret over there, too. Oh my god.
Wish I had a way of just crafting stuff. I just can't make a shipyard right now. Do I have any ammo? I have 70. I should be good for a while at least. But God, the air in there is thick with my asthma.
Okay, that's like a good way out at least. Where is that coming from? Shoot. Nice. Some loot here. Stuck in this pulsating stuff though. Weird nanotechnology. Oh my gosh, so many turrets. Jesus. Here
we go. All taken care of. Definitely gotten some stuff, but um it's not a ton I can do with this current state simply due to the fact that I don't have any atlas shards. All right. Well, since I am in fact stuck on this island, uh I think I'm going to have to go into another world and bring in uh some weaponry and or Oh, this is a cool little saw blade thing. I'm going to have to bring in some weaponry and um stuff to make a sky ship cuz I I just can't get off this island right now. So, kind of is uh my only option. Now, by this point, after having basically gotten my entire ship phased into the ether, I was truly stuck on this island with no other options. Not having access to baby nautiluses in order to get Atlas shards to allow me to actually create a sky ship and or shipyard, I had no real way of even getting off the island, even if I could make any sales. So, from here on, I decided to go into another world with a
different character and bring over a handful of materials and items that I would need in order to actually get myself off of this rock. Coming back into my world, because of the nature of the game, I had to start at the spawn island again and make myself basically a box with a sail and a bunch of engines. Using this, I eventually flew and found after about a half hour of flying my original island where my other character was and left a handful of tools, weapons, and a small ship in order to allow me to actually get back to where I was. In addition, I also added on a small machine gun turret, which would allow me to actually defend myself and hopefully kill off the mantas that were going to be in the way. Due to the nature of the game, I didn't even have the option to restart at the spawn island because it takes you back to the nearest by ark.
Meaning, even if I hadn't used this character in order to get me back to where I was, I would have had to start completely fresh with a brand new character all over again, while also not having access to any of the materials and or components that I would need to get to where I was. this would have been a setback of over 2 to 3 hours at a minimum. And while in general I don't really condone this type of stuff when it comes to actually doing a playthrough, I think this comes down more to the nature of needing a rework in how the game actually functions for certain islands. at least allowing it so that each island that your character could actually potentially spawn on if you do lose everything that you have, at least allow the player to be able to get all the components to let them get off the island at a minimum. But nonetheless, this is what I decided to do and continued to move forward with
this. In addition to this, I had also decided to use the public existing made map of the world. With this, I was able to locate the island that I was previously at. However, at the same time, this was misaligned with the markers I was seeing on my HUD, which was telling me that over 8,000 m away was my actual stuff and the ship that had been destroyed and/or deleted. But from whatever I could tell, despite getting my way back to the island, my items and my ship were nowhere near where I died, which meant in some capacity, either they had phased to the ground and gone into the abyss below, or they had been teleported miles away to a completely different island from where I had spawned.
Heat. Heat. and the broken ship's somehow 8,000 m away. So, I'm not really sure what happened. I think everything's kind of just gone at this point, honestly. Everything is kind of just faded into into the ether. So, this is the new ship, unfortunately. Just kind of how just kind of how it has to be.
Well, at least be able to continue exploring the island and then we can kind of just come back and get the rest of whatever's, you know, basically missing from all that. But at least secure enough to not have to worry for a little bit. There's even a little baby nautilus here too. Look at that. It's pretty. Oh my gosh. Anti-air turrets.
It's like trying to shoot my ship through the wall. Dang. There's a data relay up top there. I see. But those ones connect to somewhere. We need a starting point, too. So, this will be interesting for sure. Can we check out what this is though? Oh, is that uh one of the flight records? It is. Okay, it's an SSD. Actually need these
little data drone in here. See where he's going. Dang, this guy's going on an adventure right now. Need to hurry up. I think it's down here. Whoa. Okay. This is pretty. Need a swing to catch up to this guy. He's going way too fast. Oh man, this place is wild. What's going down here? It's a door of some kind.
Oh, this must be the start of the data relay. I would assume it's a staircase here. Huge Atlas crystal. This goes directly up. Can still hear the island defense system. That lines up perfectly, but I need to open something that looks like an energy wall. There's a lot of pathways of stuff that could need to be unlocked. Why they would put an energy wall there, but no switch or anything to Yeah, it's the same thing on this one. Almost makes me think that there's like a a switch up here or inside that I missed.
There's a doorway. This could be it. Whoa. This is a lot of graves. Bet you this is the graves of all the people who lived here, built this thing. There a lot of these. Some kind of hierarchal structure, too. Clearly the most wealthy got to live over here. Weird like atlas infused rock too. It's pretty sick. Glad that got sorted. I was about to go on a weird tangent going literally the middle of nowhere. Wait, does this symbol correspond to the one that needs to be opened? Are there like switches in there? Can't imagine closing it would be the solution. It's definitely still red down there. Oh, I did miss a switch.
There it is. There we go. Okay. A lot simpler solution than I thought it was. I thought it was going to be some complex coding typing in like switches for corresponding symbols and things like that. Should see around a little better. It's on the roof maybe. Wait, that actually might be it. Yeah, actually I think that's it. Oh, it's that one. It was just in the ship bubble. Okay. Does this one go to the tower? Goes up there. Yeah. Okay, that makes more sense. And this one goes inside. Perfect. We have done it. It has been complete.
It's possible. No, that one's sealed off. Could be down below. I guess this thing's back up and running already. This is pretty. Look at this. Oh my god. This is gorgeous. Look at this. Jeez. Look at this thing. That is extraordinary. Oh my god. That is ethereal in every way. Oh, these are connected. Okay, I might have messed these up. It would appear we have unlocked it. Not sure what we unlocked or what that it contributed to. Might have helped unlock the the room below or right above me. I have to check up there and see if that did it.
Did. Yes. Oh. Oh my god. Look how much loot this is. It's insane. I'm going to assume this is part of the data relay one. I have no clue though. This one's loaded though. For real. Can't wait to see this one respawn. Jeez. Yeah, I can't carry it all. It's too much loot. Don't need the pants. No hard feelings. Just don't need pants right now. Scraphead cranker. Oh, this is advanced weapon repellent. Oh, these are the same. Now, I do also want to figure out what's up top of this thing. It's a really cool island, by the way.
Very gorgeous. I want to figure out how to unlock this. There's so much data in here. What the heck? Oh my gosh. What is that? Yo, this is some puzzle, that's for sure. Okay, so they're individual multi-arts. I presume I have to hang down in certain ones. Guess I would just read top clockwise. They're all different symbols. No, those are the same. Not sure how that corresponds directly. I guess I don't know what face I'm doing it. It's like are there symbols on this thing down here. No. Okay. There's no symbols down here. Okay. This one has one offset.
Trying to understand how to represent the corresponding directions. Okay. I feel like the difference in this one and that one has to be three or four. That's obviously one. That's obviously two. There's no threes apparently. There we go. Nice. Wait, no. I think the connected one is three. That's a combined single. That's not four. That's three. So, it's two 314. Why did I think that was These are both like weirdly the same. Okay. 2 3 1 4. Oh wait. I think I was looking at this backwards in my head. I count 1 2 3 4 and that's the side I go. So one is back, two is left, three is right, four is top, three is right, three is right, four is top.
That's it. Okay, that took me over 40 minutes collectively, I think. Actually, no, it's been more like 25 minutes, but that makes more sense. I was just when you initially look at it, you just trying to focus on the numbers themselves, but it was as simple as hang from ceiling, look down, and that's your arrow key. One is down, one is back, two is top, back, top, left, right. back. Left, right, left, top. There we go. Now you're open. Nice. Very cool. Oh, giant Atlas crystal, too. Beautiful. All right, I'm have to go to another island. This is a cool one, though.
Definitely would come back just for the sheer volume of loot. After completing the island's puzzle and collecting all the datab banks, I finally got to a point where I felt confident in trying to set out to eventually take down Sif. At this point, I had come across countless numbers of islands, both that helped tell larger story of what might have happened to the world before my awakening, but also the ones that seem to show insight to the mentality of the Saborian people that had been experiencing the great tragedies that led to the total collapse of civilization.
Along with slowly acquiring more knowledge to craft better and better weapons and ship components, I was well on my way to finding the answer to the mystery of this world. From here on, it would be my character's main goal moving forward to create a ship that was capable of taking down the serif monsters, something I wouldn't yet do until a future video. But if you enjoyed this new style of content on the channel and want to help support what I do, consider leaving a like and commenting to let me know what you thought of it or becoming a member to help support what I do. This was my first ever time making a long- form let's play style video as opposed to simply just making updates for the game.
So, if you found this sort of low-fi chill type style of a video interesting and want to see me take on one of the bosses in the region of the game, let me know. Regardless, I'll see you all in the skies. And like always, have a beautiful rest of your day, boys. Peace.
