All right, we're back. You guys ready? Let's go. I see that. Ready. This is the Pro Football Football Show powered by Chevy Silverado.

Welcome to the Pro Football Football Show presented by the Chevy Silverado. Head to chevy.com to learn more and build your own Chevy Silverado. It is the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. Coach, you are back. How was How was the Hoola Bowl?

It was great. It was not the Hoola Bowl in Hawaii. It was the Hoola Bowl in Daytona, but we were victorious 38 to 21. It was really cool. We had a lot of fun.

Great to beat up on your little brother again. He needs He needs a buddy. But good to see you on the sideline, coach. It ain't nothing like seeing that smile on that sideline. And I know that energy got to you, too.

It did, man. We hit a dagger on the first play of the game. We hit a strike route off play action. And then in the second half, 72 all go switch. Mississippi State Bulldog Blake. Yeah. Touchdown.

Get the juices flowing. Yeah. I can't wait to see what we got here from Jerry. I know. I know. Uh, so before the show in the kitchen when we were having our coffee, you guys were all screaming at each other and I wanted to wait for the show, but Dan, you

Well, I I was told I I I wouldn't be here right now. I was told I wouldn't be here. That's what That's what Fred told me uh over and over that the Bears would lose in the first round. Oh, congrats on making the playoffs. You're out in the first round. Still standing.

But I I give you respect. The Chicago Bears have shown everyone we're not the team to be messed with. I'm giving you your

propri. And who's who you and what are you going to say? We won't be here next week right?

You got to keep going. Yeah. Right. And all I'm saying it going to be a big hill to climb when the Rams

Agree. The Rams are really good. When we get to this game, I'll tell you my my what did I say last week with the Packers Bears? I said it's a 50/50 game. Yeah. And you're like, "Oh, you're scared." I'm like, "No, no, it's a 50-50 game. It's a coin flip game." And that's exactly what it was. This one might be more 6040 Rams, but

you know, you play it, you play one game, anyone can win. Players know this. You made it in the league when people start to give you a nickname. They only give you a nickname cuz you're good. What's your quarterback nickname?

The Iceman. Bobby Draco. Yeah, the Iceman. That's who he is. And they got to come to the frozen tundra of Chicago off of Lake Michigan.

Mayweather. But guess what? I'mma bring in only one of the quarterbacks that knows this division. All right. I'mma bring in a a genius head coach to match your genius head coach. So, we going to have mental against mental, physical against physical. I'm going with the Stafford man.

We'll get to that game eventually and I'm sure we'll we'll circle back. But coach, last week we talked a lot about what was going on with coaches outside of the playoffs, the the hirings, the firings. The big one right now, John Harbaugh potentially with the New York Giants or it looks like it is done now. What do you think about that?

I like that for the Giants. I think Harbaugh is a great leader number one. He's a great communicator, but more than that, he's going to hire a very good staff. He has a lot of connections in the league. And when you get a head coaching job, it's not just you coming to the team. You got to hire 15, 20 assistants. And Harbaugh is going to do a good job of hiring the right staff and they got a young quarterback. And I think that's a division with these commanders and Cowboys. The Eagles are swirling right now. I think that's a job that's perfect for Harbaugh. They're red, white, white, and blue. It's a global franchise, and we need some juice back in the Giants organization. They got the right guy.

Dan, what do you think about it? I I think it's a great hire. I mean, the Giants have just been shuffling revolving door of head coaches. Harbaugh gives him stability. I think the big thing is exactly what coach said. The the talent that he's going to bring in in the coaching staff to go be under his wing is is what's going to make the difference for the Giants. It might not be Harbaugh himself. He has the ability to bring in a bunch of really, really talented guys who are looking to progress their career. It's good for the Giants.

Uh, no, it's not. Check this out, coach. Welcome to the jungle. Welcome to the NFC East. Welcome to the division with no heart. Welcome to the division with no pain. Welcome to the division that you have the worst quarterback in. Welcome to the division that Listen, I I don't know if you ever been to Metife Stadium, coach. I always try to hate on our stadium. It's the graveyard of NFL. You got the worst stadium.

No. No, we don't. YOU GOT THE WORST STADIUM EVER. I'M TELLING YOU NOW, MET LIFE could be the worst.

Your stadium is a cemetery. That's what you're saying. I tell you what, BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE INTO THAT NEW ONE IN like three and a half years and break the tape on it. All right. So, we going to be fine. We got new everything. All I'm saying, Hara, watch for what you asked for cuz you talking about division with Dak Prescott, Jayen Herz, don't forget. And one the best Star Wars movie I ever watched, not the first one, is Return of the Jedi. That's the best movie in Star Wars history. So, the return of the Jedi, let everybody know where we stand. That's a fictional movie, just so you

all is Rocky. R2 is a clown, not even a real robot. They They did build a statue for Rocky, though. So,

a man that don't exist. Yes. And they build him up for the game. They play his music. I ALWAYS TELL THEM ALL THE TIME, HE don't exist. All right. Be put a statue of Ben Franklin up. Not him.

Okay. Another big piece of coaching news. Jerry Mike Tomlin stepping down after that. Uh coach, do you know who Jerry wants to coach as Pittsburgh Steelers?

I don't know. I have no idea. Let's hear it from the man himself. Be you, John.

Yeah. They're going to get a young defensive coach. That's what the Steelers do. That's what they do. Chuck Null did that. I mean, Bill Cower, Mike Tomlin, they're going to stay in that mold. It's worked for them. I think Chris Schulah of the Rams is a candidate. I think Mentor is a candidate. I like the Dcoordinator in Jacksonville. Personally, I think he's a hell of a coach. Halfley from Green Bay is being rumored. You'll get a young defensive coach, Jerry. Yeah.

But most importantly, Pittsburgh, you're going to win with quarterback play. They had a guy named Terry who uh Brad and then it was Ben what?

That's right. You can't change quarterbacks every freaking year, Casey. You got to get a QB. Hopefully, it's Will Howard. I would love to see the ex Ohio State Buckeye take the reigns.

I would love that. I've been pushing for Will Howard. Yeah, I'd love to have him get his shot next year.

No, you don't. Yes, I do. To me, it's over for Pixburg. You know what, though? They fire coaches like they changed shirts, man. Since 2000, there's been 200 coaches fired. Me being one of them.

Yeah, I've been fired, traded, trampled on. They're firing the coordinators of the Chargers, the Eagles right after the playoffs.

Yeah, we fired. Uh, you know, who the hell are you going to hire? You better do extensive research. These are tough tough jobs these days because there is no patience. None.

Can we all agree coach the grace period that the Pittsburgh still had with decade after decade after decade of just winning at the top. They deserve where they at right now. Everything that they do going through right now, they deserve everything about it. You can't be the the top cream of the crop and now you you just reverted down to at least we make the playoffs every year. THAT'S WHERE YOU DROPPED THAT BAR TO. THAT'S WHERE YOU AT. That's what happen when you have a dirty old man at quarterback. I That's what happens. I feel no pain for them.

Jerry is just over here just completely disagreeing with you, friend. No sympathy. The AFC North has been a true contender as a whole. If it wasn't Pittsburgh, it was Baltimore. If it wasn't Baltimore, it was Cincinnati. It just always been this thing. And now all of them has fired their coach. You talk about a total just reset in a whole division. I can't wait to see it. All right, let's get into these games. So Dan, you and Fred went two and four in wild card week. Stephen Chase sat in for you and went four and two, so you did better.

I called Stephen. We agreed. I I told him about the four wins. He screwed up on the two losses, but

those were your picks. Yeah. Thanks. I'm glad Stephen was Let's start with the storyline. Game of the week presented by the Chevy Silverado. Again, a heavy head to Chevy.com to learn more. Build your own Chevy Silverado. The Bills at the Broncos. Coach Josh Allen. Bo Nicks. Where are we going with this one?

That was my game we did on our little YouTube bar stool channel and the score is out there. We released it late last night. Shawn Payeyton is coming off a buy.

Mhm. And he's 4-0 coming off a buy as a playoff head coach. They've had 13 days to get ready for Buffalo. The Bills are on a short week. They've had six days. To me, Josh Allen, if I was a gambling man, which I'm really not, I would take Buffalo because of Josh Allen. The guy is sensational. He's the best. I think he's the best cold weather quarterback in history. Even you could put him up there with Tom Brady. I'll take either one. But what he does in horseshit weather, it blows my mind. He is tough as hell, man. He's got a lot of injuries he's battling through. To me, if Ed Oliver comes back, I would take Buffalo, but I don't think he's going to play a whole lot. I don't think he's going to be a factor. I'm going to lean on Shawn Payeyton and his brilliance as a coach coming off a buy in the playoffs. Can they run the ball against this Buffalo run defense that struggles? RJ Harvey has struggled. Yeah, I got two wild

cards. I got Mims, their slot receiver. He's going to get up against the fourth string safety of the Bills. They they're playing their fourth string safety. Puyer's out. Wrap's out. Hamlin's out. It's going to be Hancock, the young kid. They're going to get Mims up on him. And Jal McLaclin, he's number 38. You watch. He's going to get the ball on the edge. make a couple big runs. Prader's going to miss a field goal and the Broncos are going to advance 2724.

Dan, what do you think? Okay, coach, I'm attacking this game exactly how I did last week when it came to the Bills and the Jaguars. You tell me if this is wrong, where where there's holes. The Broncos are a better team overall, like in, you know, defense, offense. Yeah, they are. They're a better team. I think there's going to be some issues with, you know, the Bills have no wide receivers at this point. They're going to expect Brandon Cooks to be, you know, he had a nice game, but you can't just expect Brandon Cooks to to to do this every single week, especially against a really good Denver defense, a defense that can get home, uh, you know, put pressure on Josh Allen. So, I think the Broncos are better, just like I thought the Jags were better, but Josh Allen is the guy.

And if the Bills can keep this game close in the fourth quarter, that's really all they have to do. Yeah,

they keep the game close and then they have the ball in Josh Allen's hands. That's exactly how the game went in in Jacksonville on Saturday or Sunday. That's how I see this game going. I think it's going to be a tight game all the way through. I think both coaches might be a little conservative, especially on the Bills side, knowing, hey, if we keep it within one score and Josh Allen has the ball, we can win the game. That's our best shot. So, I'm taking the Bills, but I I totally understand the Broncos are the better team. It's just one team has Josh Allen, the other team does not. Is that fair?

I agree. Yeah, that's what I said at the beginning. I I have a hard time if I was betting

right betting on B because of Josh Allen. He just does four or five things a game that you can't account for.

And and let me just add one more thing and and and this might be me just overthinking it, but

I do think that the Broncos or sorry, the Bills are going to have a chance to play a little bit more free in the fact that that game against Jacksonville,

there was a lot of pressure in that game. The Bills hadn't won a road playoff game since 1992. There's been talk about Shawn McDermott where it's like, "Hey, if he doesn't win this game, is something going to change? They win that game.

Now it's like, hey, the pressure's off a little bit. Let's go play our ball game." You know what I mean? Like, we're not we're not we've won a road playoff game. We're not going to be talking about the coach's job. We're going to just go out and try to play Buffalo Bill football. Sometimes you got to believe what you see. We've been watching this football all year long and all we didn't watch is Shawn Peyton and Bo Nicks edge out everybody. I watch him come to Washington DC and edge us out by just a ton. I watch him go to next week and edge another team out by a ton. And I'mma tell you what, coach, when I when you had your spill going on, I I was I you was drawing me in. And so I was like, "No, this is feces he's throwing out of here right now. He doing that because it's the lowhanging fruit because they going to Denver and he's forgetting about this team only win tight games." Well, Josh Shalon ain't

the one to play a tight game with. If he has the last drive, game is over. If he has the ball in the fourth quarter, he's going to he just gonna drown the time out of the ball. I when I look at this team and I see Riley at the other corner, I'm not worried about Pat Certain. I think I'm work on Riley. That's where the big plays is going to come from. Cuz I said, where's the crack at on this Denver team? Oh, it's that other outside corner over there. He's susceptible. He's susceptible to give it up and he'll give it up all the time.

And the one thing that I think hurts the Broncos, they just they're not a consistently good running team. You can't run in the playoffs. I say you gonna walk out the playoffs. I say Denver going to walk out of these playoffs. And Josh Allen, I just think it's his year. Yeah. None of the none of the big guys out there to STOP HIM. NONE OF THE OLD Lamar Jackson, the Joe Burrows, none of them out there to stop him. No Patty Mahomes.

Well, Lamar doesn't stop him. All I see in his eyes is the prize right now. It's It's Bill Mafia time. Go get you a table. Let's jump in between it. Let's break it down because this is Bill Mafia time right now.

I got a question for you, Fred. as a quarterback. The the interesting matchup in this game is Patrick Certan is is one of, if not the best quarterbacks. Yeah, he's the dude. He will completely eliminate your number one wide receiver.

We don't have a number one. That's what I'm saying. What happens when you don't even have a one?

YOU DON'T HAVE A ONE. WELL, HERE'S YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT. Like the Jacksonville had the number one rushing defense and James Cook had 46 yards. Yeah, it was season low 74 yards for the Bills last week. Yeah, they come out in the second half and I did a little thing. They threw three fake little bubble screens to Shakir. Yeah. And they got big plays because the Jacksonville Jaguars were RUNNING UP THE THEY'RE NOT GOING TO GET these [ __ ] plays against the DENVER BRONCOS.

WHY NOT? CUZ THEY GOT HUANGA, MAN. ENOUGH. HUANGA WILL COME IN HERE AND knock you right out of your chair.

Jerry loves Huanga. Jerry loves loves Let me tell you how much Jerry loves Huanga. When we were watching week 18 in the office, the Seahawks versus the 49ers. Jerry said, "Where the hell is Sufanga? Why isn't he out there for the 49ers?" You said, "Jerry, he's on the Broncos." He has the best coaching staff, I think, in the league.

Four of their guys are being interviewed for head coaching. Vance Joseph Webb, Jimmy, they're all getting, they got a great staff. They got $135 million in dead money. The Denver Broncos, they're the number one seat. And they're arrested. They're ready to go. green laws back.

They will. I'm telling you, anybody can shut down Josh Allen. It's the Denver Brown.

You know, coach, you bring up who fun. You better YOU ONE OF MY favorite shows back in the day, but my favorite show was Dawson Creek. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU WATCHED uh Dawson Knox. I JUST DID. I JUST DID. I WAS STUCK. I'M JUST SAYING.

YOU DIDN'T WATCH DAWSON? I DID WATCH DAWSON CREEK AND CRYING ALL THE TIME. LISTEN TO ME.

I didn't even watch Donald Creek. Well, WE SHOULD WATCH IT SOMETIME. CHECK THIS OUT. You know, you know them two tight ends, if they can do anything in in in Buffalo, those two tight ends can beat one-on- ones and they can beat him constantly. All right. And I'm going to tell you one thing you do when you got a pass rusher like Nick Bonito. You pack that truck up that RV up and you run downhill and you run right at him. That's what you do to pass rush. I'm telling you right now, this is a scary pick. Buffalo gonna win his game. Well, Dalton King Kaid had a walking boot on leaving the bus uh the other day at Jacksonville. So, I don't know how healthy he is, but I'll go back to this big cat. Denver number one seed at home.

This is a formidable team. I know. I know. They're hearing everything you're saying and they're probably making notes about you. Son of a [ __ ]

I I will say of all the things that have been said on the show, the way that Dan just reacted to you saying you watch Dawson.

Crazy. There's no way. artificial intelligence in there typing. You don't feel like I got a soft side.

Not even original, friend. I just can't imagine it. Listen, I got a show for you. Watch his and hers. One of the best shows out right now.

Great show. Best shows out right now. Great show. I I watched it last night. I started the first episode. I stayed up all night to finish it. I couldn't believe it.

NO. NO. UNBELIEVING THAT PEN OUT. THAT'S what I say. You right. If you didn't watch so much TV, you'd know what you're talking about.

Well, you know, I GOT TURNED OFF THE BEARS, GANG. I KNOW. I know you're a Game of Thrones person.

I am. I said that the red wedding is my number one most shocking thing. The end of his and hers is too.

Who did it big time? We're not This is not a TV show show. This is the NFL. Okay. Jerry coordinator. You and you and Fred versus each other, right?

Your cupcake defense. All right. Let's see what you got. You guys going head to head.

I KNOW. YOU'LL PLAY SECOND. TRIP'S RIGHT. All right. That's all you need to know.

Trips right. Yeah. All right. I can beat that. Good luck. Couple before. Little lock on the back side.

Distance is it? Yeah. Give me the situation like you did last week. How about I give the situation?

Go ahead. Go ahead. Go. Yeah. Give the situation. First and 10 at midfield. It's the opening drive of the first quarter.

Okay. Alert deep pass. You know how that go. I'm going to play a little cover four, coach. I ain't going to make it that hard. Free safety here. Strong safety here. We're going to play cover four cuz you say you going three by one, right?

Yeah. All right. Go my nipple to the speed. Your trips right or left. Trips right.

All right. Got my nickel right there. My backer. It's a good thing we have editors here because this might take forever.

God. No, it ain't, man. Christmas big 2x speed. All right, we going to go cover straight cover four against this here. Here, here, here. Now, this back side right here, what I'm going to do is I'mma lock him up. He going to play actually man under right now.

That's that's irrelevant. No. I'm just I'm just letting you know. So this one gonna be playing two man under. Everybody else going to push. He going to be over top of him. He going to lock him in. I got anything. Everything over here is good.

Go play football. Fullback dive. Get yourself four four yards right up the middle.

HEY, SOMETIME YOU GOT TO PLAY JUST REGULAR defenses and let them come to you cuz I got to alert. I GOT TO SHOT ALERT. They at midfield. I got to go shot alert. I want them to have to play second and third down right here.

Who the hell covers the halfback on the weak side on a choice route? Uh, not me.

My god. We going to chase him down, coach. He had problems. Take your time, Jerry.

You know he been hurt, man. It been a bad weekend for Jerry. Like, he went swimming in Three Rivers Lake, came out with a disease.

What do you got? You supposed to be talking us through it, Jr. like I did. I'm just gota focus on getting the right letters down.

I gotta focus. Yeah, QB. Let me go try. No tight end, huh? Nope. Don't need it.

Just what you got. It takes longer to get this play than it does to get out of the bears.

How long does it take? Normal takes a long time. long time. For all the people that have ever been to Soldier Field,

it's a long time. I know you have the luxury parking. It's not It's not the best.

If you're a normal fan, how long does it take to get to your car and get home? Listen, that would be my only tip. Spend less on tickets, more on parking. That's the way to do it.

Yeah. Yeah. Sit all the way in the car. How much did you spend on your parking?

I spent a lot of money on my How much? $500 on parking. And the tickets were were not that much more expensive. They were We were sitting up in the

$500 for parking. We're sitting in a 300 level, but we had good parking. That's all that matters.

Got to get back. Hey, can y'all get coach a bag for you can throw up in it? Play this.

So, listen. This is a This is a running back's going to fake like he's getting the hand off. It's going to shift these guys a little bit. They're going to be looking at this running back coming over. Maybe maybe even the safety looks at that fake. Okay. Who knows what he does, but listen, this guy's going to act like he's blocking right here and then he's going to shoot out. This guy's going to act like he's blocking right here. He's going to shoot out. Fake. This is a fake. We're going to hit one of these guys right here down the field for a touchdown.

That's the NFL's passing game now. It's a fake bubble screen. Take off. But the the number four, coach.

Yeah, but the the the safety, the linebackers, they don't have to worry about anyone.

Nothing. Yeah. What? This these guys are these guys here are going to cover this guy.

All right. All right. You see what I DID ON THAT BACK side over here? I made this to where they taking him out of the play right here. I'm not looking AT THAT GUY HERE. FRONT SIDE RIGHT HERE. I GOT A OUTSIDE CORNER. I got a safety right here. They're going to push over. THEY'RE GOING TO JUMP ON. NO, HE'S going to jump on that guy. This nickel is going to jump ON THIS GUY. THIS GUY FLOATING. THIS GUY FLOATING. THAT'S A DEAD PLAY, MAN.

Is this dead? Hey, he got frontal clothes on. It's over. That's dead. Well, then you got to stop. I don't want no zone no more.

Unless you get the running back maybe going. What you should HAVE DID IS RAN TRIPLE OR DOUBLE POST. ALL RIGHT. And and ran a wheel outside of that. Then you can get some room. You got to take guys out of the cover.

Yeah. Take your wide receivers deep and run the running back in a wheel route. Yeah. Come on, man. I know.

You guys want to hear a funny story? Yeah. Give it to us. So, when I was interviewing for the Raiders head coaching job, I was young, 31 something years old, right? Al Davis.

And I had to get on the board a lot and draw plays and I had seen Tom Landry, the old coach of the Cowboys at a clinic. Yeah.

And he would draw the offense in blue ink. Then he would draw the defense in red ink. Then he would get out a green pen and he would draw the blocking schemes. Right. So, it was a colorcoordinated presentation unlike this black black. You can't tell who's what, right? Yeah. So, I go interview with the Raiders and Al Davis says, he called me Butch. Hey, Butch,

what's your favorite play on third and goal from the nine? So, I drew the bunch formation in blue ink. Yeah.

I drew the defense in red. I pull out another crayon. I He goes, "What's wrong with the crayons?" I go, "I'm just trying to give you a color-coded presentation." YEAH. HE GOES, "UH, DON'T YOU KNOW I'M [ __ ] color blind?" Coach, 90 years old in the town. Try to use some color coding thing, man.

That's incredible. True story. What a story. And and Jerry's just back here saying he's a big loser now because of that coach.

Everything touch turned to dust right now. I actually like it. I'd have brought the offset back on a weak side. Run him on a choice route. Who covers him? Look at Fred sitting back there. He don't know. Oh, I know. He's not gonna attack.

I push that wheel. I PUSH THAT WHEEL OVER there to him easily. Thank you, Jared.

You try again next week, Jar. Try again next week. All right, let's go to the playbook picks presented by DraftKings, the NFL playoffs. Let's go. The football gods have spoken. I wish I had 10 TVs in my basement before I could watch Seattle play 10 times all at the same time. I love watching this team play. I love watching them run the ball with Shabanet. I love watching them play deep. This this defense has no weakness. From the front to the linebackers to the DBs, they are unbelievable. And guess what? I want to give Shanahan, his coaching staff, ownership, and everybody else props at the 49ers. They have lost everybody, not just somebody, everybody. And they just keep on going. I told y'all, put some respect on Brock Per name. Nobody want to do that. So, you know, I got respect for the 49ers. But the ride is over. All right. Sam Donald, the revenge of the scourge is what I call him because people said he was through. Said he was finished. And I said, "No, man. Give this guy a chance, man. Give it man a chance to prove who he is." The Seattle Seahawks like the

Texans could be the most complete team in the NFC. I love watching you talk. You know what? I BELIEVE WHAT I'M SAYING.

WHAT'S COMING OUT NEXT? I just get so excited. Coach, you feel how I feel about the Seattle Seahawks? THAT THAT'S WATCHING OLD SCHOOL FOOTBALL RIGHT THERE. THEY don't care about nothing but inflicting pain offensively, defensively. And you know how I feel about that Jackson Smooth and Jigma. He can go out there and get it. I All I'm saying is if you're looking for a weakness with this team, they don't have one. And if they going to go blow to blow with the 49ers, I'm sorry 49ers, you just ran out of gas. I you just ran out of gas. Very coach, good coach team, but who you gonna use to beat anybody?

Jawan Jennis can't keep doing this. Yeah. No, I I listen, I agree. I I'm gonna take the Seahawks here. I think the Niners are I mean, what they've done with the injuries they've had has been nothing short of like miraculous.

Yeah. I don't know how they're going to move the ball in this game. They haven't been able to run the ball. They haven't like you George KD's now now out.

You saw in that Eagles game and credit to Kyle Shanahan, they basically were like, "Look, the Eagles offense is putrid. We got to just find a way to score one more touchdown." They do that trick play to Jawan Jennings. Incredible play. The Seahawks are not gonna like that. You can't do that against the Seahawks. I think they're I think this is going to be not a vanilla game plan from the Seahawks, but I think they're going to take the air out of the ball when they once they realize that they can stop the NerS. They're not going to put Sam Darnold in harm's way. I think the Seahawks are just a better team, you know, top to bottom. I'm going to take the Seahawks.

Kish, what happened if the Seattle Seattle gets a lead? It's over. It's over. They're going to they're going to sit on that thing. They're going to grind it out. I just I don't know how the Niners move the ball. I really don't.

Christian McCaffrey, that's the only option right? That's the only option, right?

Coach, do you agree? I think this is going to be one hell of a game because these two teams are rivals. They're in the same division. They just played a couple weeks ago in San Fran. It was 13-3

and the Seattle won that game. Shanahan, three games. He's looking at these tendencies he has against Seattle. Yeah,

he's an offensive great coach, man. Donald, he's he's over there on this is going to be a lowscoring game.

Yeah, the officials are going to have something to say in this. You'll see a pass interference call here or there.

I'm going to say this. I picked Seattle to get to the Super Bowl weeks ago. I'm staying with them. They're at home.

I do like the fact that they are balanced on offense. Yeah. And I just have a little concern. I I don't think you guys are really giving the 49ers credit. I I

YOU'RE TALKING THEY LOST EVERY THEY HAVEN'T LOST EVERYBODY. They got They got Lenor in there. He's a hell of a corner. So is Green. They got They got Brown out there. They got

No pass rush. They got They got enough. They got enough. They got enough. A lot of them.

Charles Cross ain't playing at left tackle. The Seahawks got some injuries. This was a lowscoring game a couple weeks ago. Don't act like this isn't going to be a tight game. And I'm telling you, Shanahan is going to come up with some stuff. I'm telling you, Demarcus Robinson, he just ripped Philadelphia 12.

So, what are you going to do? You going to take the the points? See, I want to go against Fred. I want to go against Fred seven.

I'm going to take the I'm going to take the 49ers plus seven, but I'm picking Seattle to win. Okay.

It's like the black plague just went through for San Francisco as a city. Taking out football play after football play after football play.

Double reverse flee flicker they ran. That's the kind of stuff that Shanahan will dial up.

And that's the kind of thing that ain't going to work against the against the Seattle Seahawks. I'm sorry. Between this pass rush and these defensive backs, you want to see the light get squeezed out of somebody, watch four quarters of this game right here. You want to watch Brock Porter look mortal, look like a regular dude AT A 7-ELEVEN. YOU WATCH THIS GAME because he got nobody to throw. I'm telling you. No name defense. The 49ers, you can say they don't have household name. They playing with CJ West. I'm looking out here. Seeing Fred Warner might even come out and play

now free the best player on the field. They're going to get they're going to get him 25 touches in this game. They're going to hang around and it's going to be a tight game. It's going to be physical. It's going to be awesome. Woo! Can't wait.

Pair of lips. I tell a lie. You heard it here. I did notice that in that argument you snuck in a lie don't care who told or who tells it. Is that a new one? Is that a new Fred Smoon?

A lie don't care who tell it long as it's told. And the and the and the one person that keeps telling lies is somebody that feel like they educated about something cuz they don't think they lying. Like coach, he don't think he's lying right now, but he know he don't have no hope in San Francisco right now. Not because they're not a good team, not because they're not well coached. You can only take so many blows before your team is just not good as this other team.

You know what? Give me the Niners plus. OH MY GOD. HE'S TALKING TOO MUCH. HE'S TALKING too much.

Both of these games they played this year were ugly. Yeah. I mean, it they were ugly. You [ __ ] and gay. He's talking too much.

You just talked him out of his talked me out of it. I'm going Sam Wonderbread Donald.

You talk too much about it. Well, the the text message thread on on Saturday night will probably about

be dastardly diabolical. Let's go to the Fox one rapid fire pick of the week on Fox One. You can stream your favorite live sports so you never miss a Did you see that moment? What? Dan, you have your hand up.

I'm back on the Seahawks. I realized I picked them in advisors. So, I got to stay consistent. I'm back. DID YOU HEAR THAT? IT WAS A WIN ADVISOR.

I I GOT TO I got to stay consistent. I'm not doing the double pick. So, Seattle,

the way he raised his hand so slowly. Excuse me, teacher. I really graphic. I pulled up. I was like, "Wait, what did I pick?"

Usually the hand raising is on the show, the college football show over there, but I saw Dan doing it. We had to stop the ad for that. Had to do it. Okay. So, you're officially

on Seattle. No, don't touch me. Don't let coach talk. Don't you I'm gonna TRY TO PUT SOMETHING THAT'S LOSING IN YOUR LIFE. ALL RIGHT.

All right. Fox one rapid game of the week. The Texans at the Patriots. Start your 7-day free trial today. Offers are subject to change. Go to Fox one for complete terms and conditions. Dan, I will start with you. That Texans defense last week was unbelievable. Uh the Patriots get their win. What do you think happens at Gillette?

So, I actually like this is one of those games and I know this will sound like a copout, but if it was Patriots minus two and a half, I would be all over the Patriots, but it's Texans plus three and a half. I do think this is a field goal game. Like I think that this game will be tight on both sides. You saw Drake May didn't look great. He looked great with his legs, but he didn't look great uh you know the MVP level he was playing at in the regular season against the Chargers defense. The Texans defenses step up. I just don't know how the Texans offense is going to do much because they can't block up front. CJ Strad looks really bad. Think about the the game he had. Any other if he doesn't have that defense and they're not going up against the the pathetic Pittsburgh Steelers if

that's a that's a losing performance by CJ Strad like it is. He turned the ball over in the red zone. He fumbled a couple times.

I'll take the Texans plus three and a half. I don't like it. I actually like the under in this game a lot. I think this is going to be a gross game. I picked the Seahawks and the Houston Texans to make the Super Bowl. And I hate to bet against Houston right now because of their defense,

but you just said it. I don't have a lot of confidence in the Texan offense. I really don't. And without Nico Collins,

I mean, they don't beat the Raiders, right, a couple weeks ago if it wasn't for Nico Collins making two or three incredible plays.

The Texans are missing several guys on the interior part of their defense. They're missing Settle. They're missing Mario Edwards. They're missing some big bodies. I don't think Deno Autry is going to play. They do have the great edge rushers. They have the great corners.

Yeah, but I think Josh McDaniels and Drake May score enough points to win this game. I I'm going to go with the Patriots in a tight game, but I think New England wins and covers. Listen, I got a man crush on Drake May so bad I wish I had a sister his age so she could marry him and her last name could be May. All right. I just think he does everything good. not great at one thing yet, but he does everything good and that makes him scary. Stefan Diggs makes them scary. Henderson makes them scary. But but nothing scares me more. You remember how people would just when Jason Vorizes just start walking and you start running and you start falling. That's what people do from this defense from the Texas, they just keep walking. Then you start hearing that, you know you're dead. You know you're dead. All right, I'm going tell you like this. They are going to go to New England and I don't think CJ Scroud is

going to repeat what he did. All they going to tell him, keep the ball clean. Do not turn the ball over. Hand that ball to Woody Marks of Mississippi State and let him go. All right. Let them find a way to go win this game. I'm telling you,

hand the ball to WOODY MARKS. WOODY MARKS JUST WENT FORUND. YEAH, I got you. He just went for 100.

If he stays in the game, he comes out every single game. Every single game. So does the jam. Check this out. All I'm telling you is this. All right. When I look roster for roster, when I look momentum, when I look at what it takes, Drake May is doing what all good young quarterbacks do. They get to a certain point and then they stop. All right? Because the NFL is is is more depth than that. You you say a couple of times, what if that defense didn't do this? What if this special team? That ain't how it is. It's 53 of us. It gonna take all 53 of us to go win this game. And they got a better 53. All right. They got a 53 that been there and done that.

All right. Will Anderson cannot be blocked. He cannot be blocked. All right. SO, WHAT I'M GOING TO TELL YOU RIGHT NOW, THE unblockable man and his friends are going to go to New England and they're going to win their game, coach. All right. I'm going with the Texans. I wish the spread was bigger.

It's a short week. You guys just had a road game Monday night. We don't care about beat up.

New official pick the under. I don't like either side. You guys are underestimated under the graphic for Dan.

Give me under 40 and a half. No, no stiffness. Thank you. No, you got to choose a side.

No, I did. I just did. Under 40 and a half. That's a side. I think it's going to be a tight game. I think it's be like a 174 type game. I don't think both are going to be tough.

I got to go with the veterans on this one. I can't go with the youth. They starting a lot of youth over there.

In his third year. That's a veteran. I don't know about that, coach. Third year quarterback. What are you?

Well, he started 50 games, so He has and he has won three straight, you know, in the playoffs. He's won three years in a row.

I the ball distribution, Fred, of New England. They can throw the ball to four different receivers. It ain't just diggs and they got a tight end, Henry. They got a running back that can run it up the gut Stevenson. And they got Henderson that is a rocket, man. They got a lot of guys that can beat you. Woody Woody.

Woody Marks. Woody Marks. Woody Marks and Woody Marks. Woody Marks and Friends.

I That's what I'm saying. Hey, all I'm saying is everybody can run the ball till they get hit in the mouth. Everybody can catch the ball till they get hit in the mouth. I don't know if you watch Petri, but he wearing that uh that that little cap on his head.

I love Pet and he going ACROSS PEOPLE NO THAT'S WHAT HE DOING. ALL I'M SAYING NOW is that I I got more stock in that Houston defense than I do in that uh

Why don't you call the Chargers and see what they think of the Patriot defense? Because the Patriots just put a can of whoop ass to the

Chargers. Excuse me. HE HAD NOBODY blocking for him. Man had nobody blocking for him.

Who was blocking for him? Nobody. Nobody blocking. He could have blocked him. He could have block him. And the crowd's going to be in it. It's going to be awesome.

It's snowing. It's going to be great. You're a dome team. You're going to get cold out there.

Houston Texans. All right, let's go to the game of the week presented by the Chevy Silverado. We started the show off with this that we've been talking about it all morning. the Rams at the Bears. The Bears plus three and a half. Dan, I will start with you. You're going, aren't you?

Yeah, I'm going to be there. I'm going to be there. Uh, very excited. This is going to be a tough game. The Rams offense is probably going to move the ball pretty easily on the Bears defense. I'm just being honest with you. The Bears defense did play well, actually great against the Packers in the second half. Rams defense isn't that good, right? Like, this is a this is a game where I think the Bears will be in it. And you got the Iceman in the fourth quarter. Couple things to look at.

The who man? The Iceman. The Bears lost their left tackle Azie Trapillo. Uh really tough injury. Theo Benedict's going to come in. Theo Benedict is not as good as Azie in terms of pass blocking. He might be better than him in terms of run blocking. I think you see the Bears try to really run the ball right at the Rams all day. And I think it's going to be actually like a lower possession type of game where the Rams are going to do something similar where they're going to try to run the ball at the Bears. Just be in it. Just be in it. Just have a shot. I think I think I think Caleb's going to be able to move the ball when he needs to. When the the game opens up later in the game, you need a play.

Bears are going to win. Bears are going to win. Go ahead, Fred. No, they're not.

Cold weather. It's going to be 10°. Soft Southern California boys coming. Ben Johnson hasn't been practicing with heaters all season. Kevin Byron said, "Oh, we we actually wanted to complain, but now we understand what he was doing." It's coaching with intention.

That was ice cold what you did. Giving him the nickname the ice man. Yeah. It's ice cold what you did. Well, I call Matthew Stafford Professor X. All right.

Okay. And the people on the Rams, they call Caleb the the polisher. They not worried about him. You're not worried about him. The one thing about young quarterbacks, no matter how good they playing, they always gonna have these one, two, three plays that they make a game that they not supposed to make and have been getting away with it. Like,

what are you talking about? The punt. The the one the punt. Just a couple of throws. He threw a punt that's ill.

He threw a punt. All I'm saying is some plays are just ill advised. I'm going with Al Capitan. I'm going with the man that's mind over matter. I'm going with the man that understands this situation that has been here on the road in the playoffs and know how much these games are worth. Matthew Stafford. Nobody loves him. Nobody cares for him. All he does out there go and win. And then he got and the reason I call him Professor X because with his brain and McVey together, the mental power right there, the stimulation that they get, they see the field different. I'm going tell you what, when you look on the field, you see people. When they look on the field, they see numbers. They in the matrix.

They they do different things. I knew you were going to take the Rams. You knew I was going to take the Bears. I want to hear what he has to say.

I'm about to say this is one of those things where you and I could just go have a glass of wine.

You got to decide this. You got to decide. You decide it. Because Fred Smood has said every single step of the way in this Bears season. Oh, well, they're not going to win the North. Oh, they're Oh, they're nice team, but they're not going to win. You know, they're not going to get to the playoffs. Oh, they got to the play. Oh, they won the North. Oh, well, they're not going to win a playoff game. Oh, they won a playoff game. Oh, they're not going to win two playoff games. The Bears could win the Super Bowl and Fred Smoot would be sitting here being like, well, they're not going to repeat.

You had to get down on one knee. I bent the knee and you still are talking [ __ ]

The North remembers. I This is what I want to tell you. I'm not failure. Don't you You can't succeed if you're afraid of failure. I'm not afraid of failure. I'm here to tell the truth. I I don't know if y'all seen Drewki skit, but I'm here to tell the truth. And the truth is big kick tell lies. I And I'm here TO PURIFY HIM FROM these lies.

I want to know what you have to say. You got to pick a side. You know, these are the two offenses that I like the most in football. I like watching the Bears tape and I like watching McVey. Yeah,

coached with McVey. I love watching the 13 personnel, the ways they use tight red zone attack with Devonte Adams. But let me tell you this,

when I was a receiver coach for the Packers, it gets really cold this time of year. Yes. Sterling Sharp, Hall of Fame receiver, played for us. He would always YELL AT ME, "HEY, GRREW." I had to take my coat off and throw him about 80 passes below his belt buckle, above his head, away from his body. Anyways, when it got really cold, like it's going to be here in Chicago, he would he would yell AT ME, "HEY, GREW." And I had to take off my park and start throwing him passes. It was so freaking cold, I couldn't even complete a pass. It's going to be hard to throw. And I don't care what you say, Fred. You're coming from Los Angeles. You're coming from that little dome you live in. You're going to get off the bus and you're You know what the first thing you're going to say is? Cuz I was on these buses.

You're going to go, "HOLY [ __ ] IS IT COLD?" And all of a sudden, the wind is blowing off this lake. It's called Lake Freaking Michigan. It's 17 m an hour and it's like,

"God, man." Then you're standing over there and you're 39 years old and you're going, "Man,

love this." I'm a little older than I used to be and I'm really freaking cold. And this Chicago Bear fan base has been waiting for this.

This place is going to go nuts. He's gonna sit up THERE WITH A $500 PARKING PASS. I MEAN, it's gonna be the Bears. It's Destiny Colin. Caleb Williams seven times at the end of the game has pulled it out of nowhere. This guy's a young Brett Favre. I'm telling you, last week, fourth and eight, he's running to his left. He breaks a tackle and throws a BULLET TO LOVE. IT'S THE GREATEST THROW I'VE EVER SEEN.

Roma Dunes. Yeah. Yeah. That neither foot was on the ground. Was it a Dun? Yeah. Dunes. Yeah. Anyways,

plus Ben Johnson. Yeah. What can you say about this guy? What you mean? I love him.

I mean, he's set the tone. I do not love him. Bear down. Bears are going to win this game 20 to 17.

Offensively, they are second on everything in this game. Matthew Stafford is a better quarterback. Puka Noola and Vonte Adams are better wide receivers than Roman Doo Day and Luther Bird. ALL RIGHT. THEY HAVE A BETTER OFFENSE than this team has a better offense.

Cold. Too cold. Too cold. Too cold. Oh. So then what y'all GOING TO DO? WEATHER.

WHAT DO YOU THINK DEVONTE ADAMS left the Packers? He want TO GO TO VEGAS. OH, IT'S WARM OUT this all of his life.

Fred, it's too cold. Dante, you don't understand. It's cold. I don't think you understand that it's cold.

Devonte was born in this division. Matthew Stafford was born because it's too cold for left. This is what I'm saying is these guys, this is not foreign to them. Soldier Field not foreign to them. The only thing foreign to them about Soldier Field is this crowd loud and believing like they are. They are. But guess what? That was us last year. That was us last year.

Oh, here we go. We was the team that did this over team. We eventually got to No, no, I'm saying

we eventually got there. Ride has to come to an end. Okay. It's the end now. You said that last week. YOU SAID THAT THE week before. YOU SAID THAT THE week before that. Fred,

you know what you are? You're you're you're a guy who on Monday morning you say, "Hey, it's Sunday." Like, "No, Fred, it's Monday." Then on Tuesday, say, "Hey, it's Sunday." "No, Fred, it's Tuesday." Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, "Oh, it's Sunday." "No, no, no, Fred, it's the middle of the week." Saturday comes around, you say, "It's Sunday." "No, Fred, it's Saturday." Then when Sunday gets here, you say, "It's Sunday." Say, "You know what, Fred? You were right one time."

Uh, you got your bears. I got the truth. You know what flipped me on the Bears is when they went to Philadelphia on that Christmas weekend.

Yep. I'm telling you, it was really windy and cold and shitty that day. And I watched Darnell Wright almost kill somebody. I mean, this offensive line of the Bears, these guys are really I mean, they physically You think Ben Johnson's just this passing guy? NO, HE'LL RUN.

NO, NO, HE'LL run it right down your throat. But they got two really good backs.

I'm not going to give props for beating Philadelphia. Philadelphia is that couple that you go out to dinner with and you know they days are numbered.

You You know that you knew they was shaking. THAT RELATIONSHIP WAS SHAKY BEFORE WE GOT HERE. YOU KNOW, AFTER EVERYBODY, COACH, if your locker room ain't together right now,

you ain't got a chance. And Philadelphia went with in there said we want a divorce. I hate him, him and him. I I wasn't worried about Philadelphia winning off of that alone. Locker room.

Fred just preaches. He really does. I I mean, I'm on the Bears, too. His uh intensity, but

it's cold. It is freaking cold. Yeah. That's way I got up from the hotel this morning and I WALKED HERE TO SHOW y'all that it ain't that cold. No, you can handle it.

Y'all seen me walk the walk down the street. You did not. Yeah, but you didn't walk all the way

WITH THE ICED COFFEE JUST TO SHOW YOU THAT THEY SOLD. AND I know that's a lie cuz you make fun of me for drinking iced coffee in a blizzard. All right, it is time for a hot take. Stan, I'll start with you.

Oh man, I you know I mean I think the Bears are going to win. I don't know where this the this playoffs is gonna stop because I I I just don't know. It's I'm on the ride. I'm hooked in. It's a roller coaster. It's been an incredible season. I'll say this though. Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams are going to win a Super Bowl whether it be this year or one of the years coming up because this tandem is it like Ben Johnson has proven already in one year that he is a not to be [ __ ] with coach. Caleb Williams, the progressions he's made this year. The playmaking ability, this this is just everything is is in front of us. And I know you can't, you know, the guy next to me last year, he said the same thing when they went last place.

We went to the I think this is a lot more sustainable and I I'm just excited. I'm I'm the the roller coaster. I don't want to get off the ride. It's it's been that fun. So, it's not really a hot take other than Ben Johnson will win a Super Bowl.

All right, Fred. Congratulation to Ben Johnson. Congratulations to the polisher. I think he broke the single season of record. What? 3,900 yards. That show you where your franchise being.

Okay. Okay. Okay. Congratulations. You know what? You know what? You know what? You know what? You know what Mike Dick has said? The pass is for cowards and losers.

No, the the pass is IS A WINDOW TOWARDS LOSERS. CONGRATULATIONS. CONGRATULATIONS, CHICAGO. All right. EVERYTHING Y'ALL GOT Y'ALL DESERVE. MY HOT TAKE is this. Uh

Seattle and the Houston Texans are your Super Bowl teams. We're gonna see a defensive ball game this year in the Super Bowl. I said yours.

I said that six weeks ago. Here comes this guy. I did not know you had my STOCK IN THERE.

SOMEBODY EDITED WHAT I SAID WEEKS ago and now he's taking my I MEAN just go back to your TJ.

I got a hot take. Okay. Can I have my song? Oh yeah. Play the song. Shred. The Chicago Bears are going to shred the Rams. Say it with me. DAVID WILLIAMS.

YES. DEANDRE SWIFT. Colston Love. Darnell. Wright. The Nung guy. Cole Kit. We're going to shred. Chicago Bears.

Yes. I mean, this is their time. You know, you got to run through the door when it's your time. You got a home field ice cold game against LA.

It's cold. IT'S LIKE THE CELTICS LAKERS, MAN. Outside on a lake. It's too cold.

It's not. They're going to shred. It's too cold for you. It's cold, right? Hey.

Yep. These are cold weather. What we're going to do AFTER THE SHOW, YOU'RE going to go out in the street right here in the parking lot.

Yeah, I will. With no 10 push-ups. JUST THAT RIGHT THERE. 10 PUSH-UPS. YEAH. Let's see it.

All right. In the NAME OF DEVONTE ADAMS, GODDAMN GREEN. You're going to go stand out there for 4 hours.

See, that's about you can't send him out there and let him do it cuz the adrenaline. He's got to send out there.

I'm going to walk and get y'all a couple of breakfast sandwiches and I'm going to go to the east side. I'll be back in about 15 minutes. And then you got to stand outside for four hours.

THAT'S EASY. Y'ALL THINK THAT HULK KILLING PEOPLE OUT HERE? WE WE ARE football players. I I bet you $30 right now at least five Rams come out pregame.

I love that. You know, the Tennessee Volunteers against Ohio State last year. Yeah, that's college.

That that always backfires. It does. It get your body ready. It drops that temperature cuz we already got our adrenaline rushing. We there. It calms you down a little bit. That that part might be true, but when it goes on social media and everybody sees it, it always backfires. Like, oh, you think you're better than the Colts?

I hope they go full Matt Holland. I hope they go full May Holland. Barefoot, too.

Just walk out of his car barefoot. All right, so Dan and Jerry are still alive. That by the way, you saying he couldn't pick the Rams last week did get a little dicey for a second. I I was watching. I was like, uhoh. Okay, so Dan can't take the Rams. You cannot take the Patriots.

I'll take the Seahawks. Oh, well, he should he shouldn't be able to go first. He went first. That's why I was looking at you, but he's the boss.

I'll take All right, I'll take the I'll take the Rams. Oh, okay. Good pick, Jar.

Okay, J. Good pick. That was my pick. Seattle was my pick. Okay, J. You know what, man? Turn this that frown upside down, man.

No, wait. I got to see a couple uh couple good seasons from the Steelers. I got to see a run new head coach going to be all right, man. Everything's going to be good.

Everything's here. All right. Anything else guys? No. Great show. Can't wait for football. Great to see you.

First of all, it's playoff time. the best time of the year. The good thing about it is some people achieve, some people gonna leave with a lot of heartbreak, but we all win in the end because it's football.

You know what I'm saying? God bless. The shirts. God bless football and God bless America.

Football. F O T B A B L E. Who knows? I love football. We'll see you guys next week.
