Hey everyone, welcome back. I hope you're all doing well. So today's case we are talking about a girl called Caitlyn Coons who has been described as a very troubled girl and a very violent girl. She had been in and out of foster care her entire childhood, constantly moved from one place to another, never feeling settled. And then in 2020, at just the age of 14, Caitlyn ended up getting herself a 30-year-old boyfriend named Jonathan Jones. And I hate to even use that word boyfriend because no no no no no. He's 30 years old. She's 14. That is grooming. However, Caitlyn became completely infatuated with Jonathan. She would do absolutely anything for him.

One thing happens after another until it ends in Caitlyn giving Jonathan one of the most sick and twisted ultimatums you have ever heard in your life. Caitlyn said to Jonathan that in order for them to stay together, he has five hours to kill his own mom. That was the ultimatum. It's crazy.

She, was, just, like, always, all, over, your son. Like always handsy with him and stuff like that and being really flirt like like inappropriate.

Yes., You, know,, if, they, ever, were, like actually. So, would, Jonathan, go, through, with, this ultimatum? How is this going to end? Is he going to turn on Caitlyn? Well, it does soon end deadly and that is what we are going to be talking about today. So let's jump in. And I just want to give a huge thank you to today's sponsor and that is ExpressVPN. ExpressVPN is an app that I have running on all of my devices at all times. It keeps all of my online activity private from advertisers and data broker companies. It protects me from hackers whenever I use public Wi-Fi. But the best part about ExpressVPN for me is that it lets you change your online location to anywhere in the world, giving you access to thousands and thousands of TV shows and movies on all major streaming services.

Like, for example, did you know that there are only about 6,500 movies and TV shows on Netflix in the UK? But if you use ExpressVPN, you can access the entire Netflix library from all over the world, which would give you 18,000 different movies and TV shows. So, that is a bit of a difference. 6,500 and 18,000. And that is just Netflix. And one thing that I have been binging recently using ExpressVPN is a five-part documentary series on Netflix called OJ Made in America. And I am always watching things on the OJ Simpson case.

This is just one of those cases where whenever I see something new, I'm watching it. And this series in particular is incredible. I highly recommend you all watch it. But for some reason, it is not available on Netflix in the UK. And I'm like, why? But it doesn't matter, does it? Because all I need to do is use ExpressVPN. I change my geol location to somewhere in the US and voila, I can now watch the entire series right now on Netflix. And it's not just Netflix. ExpressVPN can unlock thousands of new TV shows and movies across all streaming services. It can also help you access websites that may be restricted because of where you live in the world. I use it all of the time for my research because I do cover cases from different countries and sometimes I can't access everything from the UK.

Maybe you're traveling and you want to access your favorite websites, but you can't because you're in a different country. Well, ExpressVPN can help you there as well. So, ExpressVPN is truly a lifesaver. And if you are someone studying, if you are someone that does a lot of research, I just know that ExpressVPN will be so handy for you. So if you are looking for a new crime show to binge, definitely recommend OJ Made in America, and I have been using ExpressVPN now for years. It has never let me down. It keeps me safe and secure online, and it also allows me to watch as many different movies and TV shows from all over the world. And right now you can get ExpressVPN at its lowest price ever. They're offering plans as low as $349 a month, which is just 12 cents a day. And with my link, you can get up to four extra months for free. Go to expressvpn.com/danielle to get the best deal ever on ExpressVPN.

That is expressvpn.com/daniel. And using that link really does help out this channel because it lets ExpressVPN know that you came from this video. So thank you again to ExpressVPN for sponsoring today's video. But thank you to every single one of you watching right now because truly without all of you guys, I wouldn't get opportunities like this. And now, let's jump into today's case. Caitlyn Coons was born on the 21st of January, 2006, making her an Aquarius. And I'm like 2006? 2006? Wow. I mean, that doesn't even feel like that long ago. I don't know if we've ever done anybody born in 2006 before. I think we've done 2005, maybe 2004, but 2006. Crazy. And Caitlyn grew up in various places all over Ohio. and Ohio is where the rest of today's case takes place. And growing up, Caitlyn did not have it easy whatsoever. So, we start off with her biological parents who were a complete waste of space. They

were evil. They were very abusive to Caitlyn. Now, the details of the abuse we don't know. We just know that she suffered a lot of trauma in her younger years. And the only thing we know about the abuse is that it was very, very severe. It was so severe that she was taken out of their care and she was placed in foster care. And that is where she remains for the rest of her childhood throughout her whole teenage years and for the rest of today's case. And that is why I said that this case takes place in various different places across Ohio because Caitlyn really is moved from one place to another. She doesn't stay in one location for very long. And Caitlyn also did not have it easy in foster care. She experienced every horror imaginable. This soon led to a load of issues with Caitlyn. She never felt settled. She did act out a lot. She was constantly angry constantly getting into other fights

with the other children she was in foster care with. And because Caitlyn was seen as a troublemaker, she kept getting kicked out of various different foster homes and moved on to the next one, which probably only made the situation worse because she definitely has abandonment issues and she just never feels settled. She never feels wanted. and her getting kicked out constantly of foster homes and then just moved on to the next person for the next person to deal with her. It's not going to help anything, is it? She was sent traveling all over Ohio. And then at the age of 12, just to make matters even worse, she really started to suffer with her mental health, which I think is quite understandable. However, she started selfharming. She also developed an eating disorder and her weight would fluctuate significantly. like she was 100 lb and then within no time she was 200 lb and then she would lose a load of

weight again and it was just all over the place. She had a very unhealthy relationship with food. She stopped eating and drinking at one point for 5 days straight before she was hospitalized because she needed medical attention. And it was just these various cycles that just kept repeating themselves over and over again. And with all of this happening, it really did start to take a huge toll on Caitlyn. She suffered depression, anxiety, and it wasn't long before she started running away constantly from her foster homes.

And this was happening all of the time. If you search for Caitlyn's name on Google, you can see various different posts online saying that she's a missing person. There is an article from 2020 that talks about a girl called Caitlyn from Ohio that has gone missing. There is also another post on Facebook from a news reporter that said, quote, "A Canton family is pleading for 14-year-old Caitlyn Coons to return home. Her family said she ran away on foot between 12 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday. Her hair is dyed black. She was last seen wearing white police pajama pants. If seen, please notify the police department." You can also see missing person's posters for Caitlyn a year after that because she ran away yet again. So, she is running away constantly. And then we do get to Caitlyn at the age of 14. And this is when she meets a man named Jonathan Jones. And this would change everything.

So, who is Jonathan Jones? Well, he was currently a 30year-old man. Mhm. 30 years old. He had grown up in Toledo Ohio, which was not too far where Caitlyn currently was living in a foster home. and he was described as quite a shy person, quite quiet, well-mannered. In 2009, at the age of 18, Jonathan joined the military, and he served his country in Afghanistan. He also met a woman from Kansas. They got married. They went on to have two children together. However, Jonathan's time in the military, it definitely took its toll on him. He spent his entire time in Afghanistan. He got discharged when he was 22 and after that he was not the same person at all. He suffered extreme PTSD. He had witnessed some of the most brutal and violent things you can imagine. He also participated in some very violent things as well. He also suffered an extreme head injury. And after returning home, he was obviously

suffering with PTSD. His whole life just completely fell apart. He was unable to hold down a job. He just kept bouncing from one job to the next. His relationship with his wife suffered. They did end up getting a divorce and Jonathan started seeing his children less and less. And then this led to Jonathan suffering with major depression. He had to start taking medication before he moved back to his hometown of Toledo where he moved back in with his mom. And then not long after this, when Jonathan is now 30 years old he comes in contact with a 14-year-old girl of Caitlyn Coons, and things will go downhill very quickly from here. So how did these two meet? Well, Caitlyn is currently 14 years old. She's in a foster home, and she's currently suffering a lot with her mental health and her eating disorder. And she was currently in a treatment program called the Emily program. And Caitlyn was an

inpatient, so she was basically living there. And Caitlyn absolutely hated this. She said that the staff were incredibly abusive to her. Whether that is true, we don't know. But she ran away from this facility that she was staying at. And literally as she was running down the road, who did she bump into? Jonathan. The two of them apparently just started talking and they hit it off. And I'm like, what do you mean they hit it off? She's a 14year-old child. He is a 30year-old man. he should not even be talking to her, you know, unless he's just asking her if she's okay and then leaving her alone. So, one thing led to another and it ended up Caitlyn giving out her phone number to Jonathan. Now we don't quite know how this number exchange happened. Did Caitlyn give up her phone number willingly? Was she the one that gave Jonathan her number? Like did she want him to have her number? Or did Jonathan ask for her number? We

don't know. But either way, Jonathan is a 30-year-old man, grown ass adult. He should never have accepted that phone number, even if it was Caitlyn's idea. However, Jonathan ended up taking her number, not caring that he is an adult and he is flirting with a 14-year-old child in the streets in public. Doesn't care one little bit who could see him. So then after they exchanged numbers they went their separate ways. But from this point going forward, they would talk on the phone constantly. And this is where their relationship began. And I say relationship because that is how it is referred to in pretty much every source of this case, but I hate to even refer it as that because this is not a relationship. I really want to pull my hair out. It drives me insane when I come across articles that talk about a relationship boyfriend girlfriend sexual relationship between an adult and a child. And that is what I was coming

across when I was doing my research for this case. I'm like, this is not a relationship. This is grooming. I don't even care if Caitlyn was the one that was chasing Jonathan, was the one that insisted he take her number, was the one that was flirting with him or I don't give a damn. She is 14 years old. He is an adult and I have no idea if Jonathan has a past history of grooming and pedophilia, but it wouldn't surprise me. The fact that he was just so bold to flirt with a 14-year-old child in the streets in public and exchange numbers with her wouldn't surprise me at all.

But I don't know, and I'm not accusing anybody of anything. So then before you know it, their relationship develops and then they start referring to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend. Makes me sick. So, as this relationship continued, Jonathan would treat Caitlyn like a little princess. He would take her to all of these nice places. He would buy her gifts. So, he was grooming her. And Caitlyn soon became infatuated with Jonathan. And that completely makes sense. It does because Caitlyn is very vulnerable. Not only is she vulnerable because of her age, but she is vulnerable because she's struggling a lot with her mental health, but she has never felt wanted. She has abandonment issues. She doesn't have a relationship with her parents. She's constantly being bounced from one place to another.

Jonathan is the first person in her life that has ever shown her attention and affection and actually wants her. So, of course, Caitlyn is going to become infatuated with Jonathan. She wants to now spend all of her time with Jonathan. She starts begging Jonathan to spend as much time as physically possible with her. And it wasn't long until Jonathan the 30-year-old man, starts breaking the 14-year-old child out of her foster home. He starts taking her away, helping her sneak out in the middle of the night before taking her to a motel room. Mhm.

And I think we all know what is going to happen in that motel room because yes they do start a sexual relationship, but again, I don't even want to refer it as a sexual relationship because Caitlyn is a minor. She's only 14 years old, so it's statutory rape. So yes, Jonathan is helping a 14-year-old child sneak out of their foster home in the middle of the night, taking them to a motel room, and raping them. It's just so messed up. Now, in the beginning, Caitlyn did say that it was consensual. But again, I just want to point out that she's not at the age to even give consent, so it doesn't actually matter. But anyway this grooming and rape sexual relationship continued for a while, and they were having sex over and over again in these motel rooms. And this goes on for well over a year. It's going on for a very, very long time. However, at some point when Caitlyn is now 15 years old so still a minor, Caitlyn realizes that

she actually doesn't want this anymore. And she has later said that she took away her consent. She didn't want a sexual relationship with Jonathan anymore. She didn't want to have sex with him. But according to Caitlyn Jonathan blackmailed her into carrying on anyway, even though she didn't want to. He started to emotionally manipulate Caitlyn. He would tell her that he would kill himself if she didn't carry on sleeping with him. And again, remember that Caitlyn is now only 15 years old. She's now being emotionally manipulated and blackmailed. She's also being groomed for well over a year. And now Jonathan is expressing that he will take his own life if she stops sleeping with him. Can you imagine how confused and traumatic that must have been for Caitlyn? It would have been incredibly difficult for her to deal with. But to just make things a million times worse Jonathan started coercing Caitlyn into

him taking nude photos of her. So he was now creating indecent images of a minor and he wanted to make a little bit of money for himself. So he would take the photos that he had taken and he would sell them on the dark web. Yes. So now he is producing and selling indecent images of a minor. But it just keeps getting worse. It really does because now Jonathan is becoming more and more violent during their sexual encounters. He would hit her. He would spank her. He would do all kinds of craziness in Caitlyn's own words. Jonathan would also give Caitlyn alcohol to get her very very drunk. This was to diminish her senses and just to make her as vulnerable as possible. And this is when Jonathan actually did go into fullon raping Caitlyn. I mean, I know it was rape before, but Caitlyn is actually resisting now. it really is rape. He would force himself on Caitlyn even when she told him no. But Jonathan didn't

listen. He would force himself onto Caitlyn. He was still sneaking her out of her foster home, taking her to motel rooms, and he would force himself on her when they're in the motel room when she's asleep. He's just absolutely awful. He's disgusting. And this carries on for a very, very, very long time. We now get to the end of 2022. They met in 2020. So, this abusive relationship this grooming has been going on now for 2 years. Caitlyn is now 16 years old. So, she is technically over the age of consent, at least in the state of Ohio.

But this relationship is still wrong on so many levels. And by the time we get to the end of 2022, this is when this case takes a significant turn because Jonathan and Caitlyn are caught together for the very first time. So, this happened in the October of 2022. Caitlyn had actually moved from a foster home into a medical facility, clearly to do with her mental health struggles, maybe her eating disorder, and she was in the care of the state and she was a part of a rehab program. And Caitlyn did not have permission to leave this facility.

It was essentially an offense for anyone to break her out of this facility. But that didn't matter to Jonathan, did it? I mean, he's already raped a minor multiple times, so he's not exactly going to be phased by breaking someone out of a medical facility, is he? Because one night, Jonathan drives to this facility, broke Caitlyn out, and then drove her to a motel. Caitlyn was soon reported missing and the pair were tracked down at a nearby Super 8 motel. The police stormed over to her and Jonathan and they actually found Caitlyn stumbling around outside of the hotel and she was incredibly drunk because we know that that is what Jonathan liked to do with her. Caitlyn tried to provide the police with a false name and age to try and get away with this, but that did not work. And Jonathan was arrested. his phone was searched and they found numerous indecent images and videos of Caitlyn when she was only 15 years old.

So, a minor. I mean, she's still a minor now. She's 16. She's not an adult, is she? And there was a ton of content on his phone. There was content of Caitlyn posing for nude photos. There was videos of the two of them having sex, or should I say videos of Jonathan raping Caitlyn. And it was soon discovered that Jonathan was selling these images and videos online for a profit. So Jonathan was charged. He was released on bail and he was sent back home to live with his mom. And as you can imagine, when his mom found out about this, she was not happy at all. She was not happy about what her son had turned into. Like why was her son in a relationship with a teenage girl? Why was he raping her? Why was he creating indecent material of her? And this is when things get even more twisted and complicated. So, who was Jonathan's mother? Well, she was a woman named Nicole Jones. She was around 50 years old and she has been described as

just the kindest and sweetest person you could ever meet. She was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. She went to university before ending up getting a job as a nurse at Toledo Hospital. And it is said that Nicole absolutely adored spending time with her family. She would always be doting on her nieces and nephews. She loved going on big family vacations. She also loved gardening, her prayer group cooking. Prince was her favorite artist. And now she was in her 50s. She was enjoying a quiet life. She was very much a homely person. And she spent most of her time making her house just a really nice environment, like a really nice house. She took a lot of pride in her house for her and her now adult son Jonathan to live in. And Nicole had been so supportive of Jonathan through all of his struggles, through his PTSD, through his divorce. She was now giving him a place to live. And then we get to 2022

and she finds out that her son is a pedophile. To say that she was not happy would be an understatement. We don't exactly know what the fallout was between Nicole and her son Jonathan, but I think we can imagine there was probably a lot of arguments. I mean, her son was facing a lot of concerning charges. There was charges of him having sex with a minor, selling obscene material of a minor. He was also being charged with contributing to the delinquency of a child, interfering with the custody of a child. He was even being charged with human trafficking because he broke her out of a secure facility and then drove her halfway across the state. And Jonathan was obviously out on bail. He was out on bail for a couple of months before he plead guilty, which meant that he was going to have to register as a sex offender. and he was told that he was going to be sentenced in May of 2023.

So, he was very likely going to prison but until his sentencing, he would be forced to wear a GPS ankle monitor to obviously monitor his movements. He was essentially under house arrest. There were other things that he had to agree to as well as a part of his bail. And one, of the, things, that, he, had, to, agree to was that he was not going to see Caitlyn ever again. He was not allowed to see her under any circumstances. But did Jonathan listen to this? No. No, of course he didn't. Jonathan continued to see Caitlyn because even though he was technically under house arrest and obviously his movements were being monitored, Caitlyn was still able to go over to his house. So that is how they continued seeing one another. But obviously Jonathan was not living on his own. He was living with his mom. So this is when she had to start putting up with Caitlyn sneaking into her house. And at first Jonathan and Caitlyn tried to keep

all of this sneaking around a secret. They tried to keep it from Nicole. However, Nicole soon found out and we actually don't know her reaction. According to Caitlyn, there are two different versions on how she reacted. But I just need to point this out that Caitlyn is not a reliable source. She definitely has a loose relationship with the truth. So, Caitlyn has actually said that when Nicole found out that she was sneaking into the home, Nicole actually started allowing her to stay in the house a couple of nights a week. Now, I don't know if I believe that, but then Caitlyn's other version of the story is that as soon as Nicole found out that Caitlyn was sneaking into the house Nicole actually kicked both Caitlyn and Jonathan out of the house and made them live on the streets and essentially made them homeless. I don't know if I believe that either. So, it's probably somewhere in the middle. I reckon Nicole probably

found out and banned Caitlyn from the house, but didn't kick her son Jonathan out of the house either. I reckon that's probably the truth. But Caitlyn is not a reliable source, so we will never know truly how Nicole reacted when she found out that Caitlyn was sneaking into her house. So, things go on like this for a couple more months until we get to February of 2023. Now, it was at this time when Caitlyn was involved in a very serious car accident. At this point, Caitlyn was 17 years old. She had been 17 for about a month now, and she was out driving, but apparently she was on drugs because it was around this time when Caitlyn actually did develop some addictions.

So, when she was driving, her car left the road and she suffered an extremely severe head injury. Caitlyn was hospitalized. She was placed in a coma. There were now stitches in her head. She had to have a blood transfusion. And it took her quite a while to recover. Like I cannot stress this was very serious. And she stayed in contact with Jonathan the whole time through her recovery when she was in hospital. She's actually said that Jonathan was her rock, her support. But as soon as Caitlyn has made a full recovery, she's out of hospital. She goes back to sneaking around with Jonathan even though she's not allowed to because he's out on bail. remember basically under house arrest. However things go downhill very quickly from here. Like things escalate so quickly now because as soon as Caitlyn recovers from her head injury and she's sneaking around with Jonathan again, she now immediately turns against Jonathan's

mom, Nicole. I mean, she never really liked her to begin with if we're being completely honest. But now it's different. Something has changed. Caitlyn is now out to get Nicole. She hates her. She starts saying to Jonathan that Nicole is the only person in the world that is standing in the way of their relationship, which is just simply not true. I mean, yes, Nicole is standing in the way of their relationship, but so is the law. But Caitlyn didn't see it like this. Oh, no. Even though Jonathan is literally awaiting his sentencing for his relationship with a minor. No, no, no no. It's only Nicole that is standing in the way. It's Nicole that is standing in the way and interfering with true love.

So, this is when Caitlyn starts to fill Jonathan's head with a load of nonsense about his mom. She started saying to Jonathan that Nicole was incredibly inappropriate with him, that her relationship with her son was not normal. She was too overprotective. She would touch him inappropriately. that she was overly touchyfey in a very inappropriate, creepy way. And Caitlyn even said that Nicole was quote very flirty with her son Jonathan and that she was quote obsessed with Jonathan. Now, I want to make it very clear that this is Caitlyn's words. And I suspect that it's all a load of nonsense. But Caitlyn kept saying this to Jonathan over and over again, how much his mom was inappropriate towards him. She was basically saying that his mom Nicole wanted to be in a romantic relationship with Jonathan and that is why she was standing in the way of their relationship because Nicole wanted her son Jonathan all to herself. And

apparently Jonathan would buy into this which is just weird. Like why would you buy into that? It's quite clear that Caitlyn is making all of this stuff up. But apparently Jonathan would say to Caitlyn that yes, he would see it too. his mom was inappropriate with him. But things would go on like this until April of 2023. And by this point in April Caitlyn is 17 years old. So, she's still a minor. She's still not an adult. Caitlyn was now living in a group home that was run by child services and she was effectively in the custody of the state. And when she's living in this group home, once again, she climbs out of the window and she goes on the run again. And as we know, this happened all of the time. But Caitlyn, when she escapes the group home this time, she runs straight to Jonathan. Now Jonathan's mom, Nicole, she doesn't have a clue that Caitlyn is in her house. But Caitlyn now hides out in Jonathan's

bedroom for the next 3 days. They managed to keep it a secret that she's there for 3 days. And when Caitlyn is there, she is still filling Jonathan's head with so much nonsense. She repeatedly just keeps saying, "I'm fed up with this. I'm fed up of your mom standing in the way of our relationship. She's the only one interfering. I can't live like this anymore. I just want us to be together forever. And it's just so crazy, isn't it, how the tables really have turned because obviously we do have to remember that Caitlyn is still only 17 years old. She's not an adult, but obviously this relationship started with Jonathan grooming her, emotionally manipulating her. But it's kind of like Caitlyn is doing that now to Jonathan which is very weird to say because yes she is only 17, but the tables really have turned because at the end of those three days where she's hiding out in his bedroom filling his head with so much

nonsense, this is when Caitlyn gives Jonathan an ultimatum, and this is the most sick and twisted ultimatum you could ever hear in your life. Caitlyn said that in order for them to be together forever, Jonathan needed to kill his own mother. You heard that right. That is the ultimatum. He has to kill his mom because she's the only one standing in the way of their relationship. And once she is out of the picture, they can then be together forever. which is just crazy because don't forget he's on bail awaiting to be sentenced for his relationship with a minor for distributing indecent images and videos of a minor. So he's going to go to prison. So that is going to stand in the way of their relationship. So Caitlyn is delusional. They're all delusional. But it's not just that. Oh no, that ultimatum. Caitlyn says that Jonathan only has 5 hours to make up his mind. 5 hours. You have 5 hours to kill

your mother. That is what she is saying to Jonathan. And I have no idea what the consequences will be after these five hours. Is Caitlyn just going to get up and leave and then their relationship will be over after those 5 hours? I just don't know. And how did Jonathan react to this? Did he even take Caitlyn seriously because it sounds ridiculous. This ultimatum is truly ridiculous. All we know is that Caitlyn once she delivers this ultimatum, this is when all hell breaks loose because it is now the 19th of April 2023 and after she's given Jonathan 5 hours to decide what to do, they essentially just spend the next 5 hours arguing with one another. And they are arguing over the ultimatum.

Jonathan was apparently unsure what to do, which is just crazy. It's like, um how are you unsure what to do? Maybe don't kill your mother. And Caitlyn was probably getting really wound up that Jonathan didn't agree straight away. Meanwhile, poor Nicole is just going about her day in her own home. She has no idea that Caitlyn is even in her house, let alone that her son and Caitlyn are possibly planning her murder. So, Caitlyn and Jonathan, they are arguing for the next 5 hours. But then after those 5 hours pass, Jonathan refuses to act. He's like, "No, no, I'm not going to go kill my mom." And Caitlyn was not happy. So she gave Jonathan one more hour to make the right decision. She is literally begging Jonathan to murder his mother at this point. But Jonathan still refused after that hour. He was like, "No, I'm not going to murder my mom." So this is when Caitlyn decided to take matters into her

own hands. She now exits the bedroom. She heads to the garden. She picks up a rock, goes back inside, and she finds Nicole in the kitchen. And Nicole was just looking in the fridge, unaware of anything that was going on. Unaware still that Caitlyn was in her house, but Caitlyn goes up behind Nicole, she lifted the large rock in the air and she brought it down on Nicole's head. Nicole instantly collapsed to the floor, but Caitlyn kept striking Nicole over the head over and over again. Jonathan at this point was just in the living room so the room next door to the kitchen and he was listening to the whole thing and he did absolutely nothing to intervene. So even though Jonathan for those five, well technically six hours he was refusing to kill his mom, he's now just standing by as she is being murdered because Caitlyn just kept beating Nicole with this large rock. And then this is sadly when Caitlyn wrapped

her hands around Nicole's neck and began to strangle her. And Nicole was unable to put up a fight. She was too weak from all of the blows to the head. She was completely defenseless and she was ambushed in the worst of ways. And after being beaten with a rock and strangled by Caitlyn, this is sadly the moment when 53-year-old Nicole Jones lost her life. And it was such a senseless murder. It happened completely out of nowhere for no reason whatsoever. And what makes it just so much worse is that one of the people that she loved more than anything, her son, allowed it to happen. He could have intervened from the very beginning and prevented that murder. So, in my eyes, he is just as guilty as Caitlyn. Now, straight after the murder, Jonathan went outside and he lit a cigarette because he just didn't know what to do. So, he was stress smoking and he seemed to just completely zone out until Caitlyn came out to him

to reassure him that everything would be okay. And then the two of them start putting a plan together for them to get away with this murder. Because they first went to a local store, bought tarp and trash bags, and all of this was caught on CCTV before going back to Jonathan's home. They then wrapped Nicole's body in the top before placing her body in the trunk of her own car. They then drove Nicole's car with her body in the trunk to a nearby apartment complex and they dumped her body in the communal dumpsters. At this point Jonathan is still wearing his ankle monitor, by the way. So, all of his movements are being tracked. But then after they dumped Nicole's body, they went back to the house and the pair stole a load of Nicole's belongings which included her gun, jewelry checkbook, multiple IDs. They removed all of Nicole's money from her bank account before they then went on the run. They go on the run in Nicole's

stolen car and Caitlyn starts recording videos of herself in the car and she's laughing and smiling whilst holding Nicole's gun in her hand. It really does seem like she is just high off the adrenaline of murdering an innocent woman. Meanwhile, Jonathan is obviously just sat next to her and he is completely silent. He does not want to talk to Caitlyn and he is still in shock. But this is also when Jonathan cuts off his ankle monitor and throws it out the window and the pair start making their way to Mexico to cross the border.

And this goes on for 2 weeks. The pair are on the run making their way down to the Mexico border. No one currently has noticed that Nicole is even missing, let alone that she has been murdered. But then just to turn this whole case completely on its head, and this next bit really just doesn't make sense. So after two weeks of being on the run Caitlyn decides to message one of her carers at the foster home situation that she was currently living at. And she confessed to the carer in this message that she had committed two murders. And I'm like what? Two murders? Why is she confessing to two murders? There have only been one. As far as we are aware, there is no other murder. So, I don't know why she's confessing to two murders. And I also don't know why she's messaging one of her carers confessing in the first place. She is apparently on the run and she wants to get away with this murder.

So, why is she messaging a carer admitting to murdering somebody? It just doesn't make sense. Was she just playing games with her carers? Was she truly just high off adrenaline? And she was nearly at the Mexico border, so she thought she was going to be able to cross the border and get away with this murder forever. So, she was kind of laughing in people's faces or was she on drugs? Because we do know that she has an issue with drugs. So, we don't know what is going through her head right now. But obviously, her carers were very concerned about her because she was missing. She had escaped from the group home that she was living in. And now she's messaging them confessing to murders. The carers were aware of her relationship with Jonathan. So, they were worried that Jonathan had kidnapped her and now they were on the run.

Jonathan had also not shown up for his scheduled court date to be sentenced. Don't forget that he's on bail for his relationship with a minor. So, because he didn't show up to court, obviously law enforcement are aware that Jonathan Jones is possibly on the run. He is missing. And this also just shows how quickly all of this has happened. There's only a few months between Jonathan pleading guilty to all of the charges against a minor that he is facing and now his mom has been murdered. So the carers report Caitlyn missing. So police are now extremely concerned because Jonathan and Caitlyn they are both missing and possibly on the run. So we now get to the 5th of May, 2 weeks after the murder of Nicole.

Police turn up at Jonathan's home, but obviously no one is there. There's no Jonathan, there's no Caitlyn, and there's no Nicole. So it was at this point that Nicole was also registered as a missing person as well. But police obviously don't know that she has been murdered. There's no body. There is no evidence in the home to suggest that she has been murdered. So, she's just a missing person. And the craziest part about all of this is that police currently think that Caitlyn is the main victim here. The police, they are obviously worried about Nicole, but their main worry is Caitlyn. They think that Jonathan has kidnapped Caitlyn.

They are concerned with Caitlyn's safety that they are on the run, possibly making their way to Mexico. And they are worried about Caitlyn, not Nicole, which is just crazy. But you can understand why the police think that because Caitlyn is still a minor and Jonathan is obviously not shown up to his court date to be sentenced because of his relationship with Caitlyn, a minor. And it really is just so crazy how this case has turned out because obviously in the beginning and for most of this video Caitlyn was a victim and she still is a victim of Jonathan. But that doesn't take away from the fact that she has now also turned into a perpetrator and she has murdered an innocent woman. Just because she is a victim of Jonathan's that does not excuse what she has done.

So, police are now tracking Jonathan to try and get Caitlyn back safely. And you can see this all over the news at the time because this is literally when Jonathan was made a fugitive of the state and an international manhunt was launched to find him. And Jonathan and Caitlyn, they are still currently in the US. So they start seeing their faces on the news. So the pair now go into hiding and Caitlyn had the bright idea to start posting on her Facebook. Caitlyn tried to tell the world that she was okay that she was not on the run and to leave her alone. She actually posted on Facebook, quote, "I am not on the run.

So stop saying I am. I am literally in Ohio about to be 18 and by myself. I don't know any Jonathan. I'm a new person, not like before. I've been doing really well and you guys are trying to say I ran when I didn't. Please stop lying for one last time. Please, I'm just trying to enjoy my life and this happens. Like, come on, stop the drama. I'm in Ohio still and not missing. And Caitlyn made various more posts that had a similar tone. She then started posting old content of herself, like old videos trying to pretend that that is what she was doing right at that very moment. But obviously it was quite easy to tell that these videos that she was posting were from an older date because they had a date on them. So everyone knew that she was lying. And then on the 8th of May one day after these Facebook posts and 3 days after she was reported missing this is when Jonathan and Caitlyn were finally spotted at the Mexico border and

they were both finally arrested. Now Jonathan, when he was taken in for an interview, he refused to talk. So Caitlyn was then dragged in for an interview and you can actually see this whole interview on YouTube. Her interrogation with two detectives went on for over two hours. And you've got to remember that initially police still think that she is the victim here. They think that Jonathan kidnapped her. They still have no idea that Nicole has been murdered.

Jonathan, and, they knew I said I was 17. We were going to go use the bathroom before, you know trying to sell jewelry. And um he was like, "Well, the two ages are really bad." And I was like "Actually, I know it's actually illegal in Mexico. As long as the if the only time someone can be with someone above the age of 18 is if they're doing something sexually, then the person has to be 18 for someone to be dating somebody above 18." So, they ended up finding marijuana in the car. Even though, but Border Patrol checked that.

They already checked the marijuana in the car. And the Border Patrol let us go. They said we were fine, that we have a legal amount in the bar for marijuana. I know how to defend myself because like I've had I grew up in the hood of Ohio. So like I know how to fight for myself. And you know, I've been in fights with girls my age. That's the reason why I don't become friends with people my age because it's just no, I don't understand them.

But, unbelievably,, by, the, end, of, the interview, Caitlyn had made a full confession. She tells the police every last detail. So, I strangled her out and I took her rock and bang her head a whole bunch of times and then I told him about it and he was shocked. So, then I let him give him a moment. He threw up and then we went to go get cleaning supplies that I cashed out and stuff. And then we cleaned up the body, cleaned up everything in the house. We disposed her body in a trash dumpster and he couldn't do it. So I, you know, was the one that put the body in the trash.

And then after that we took his ankle thing off and then we went on the run. And most of the way he was really struggling with it because it was his mom and he needed marijuana. And that's the reason why, you know, there was marijuana bunnies in the car when they tried to enter Mexico.

Why, did, you, want, to, kill, her? Because, she, didn't, want, us, to, be together.

And, you, love, him, like um took a lot of courage for the adults that she, also, tells, the, police, the, lie, about Nicole, about how Nicole was very touchyfey, very inappropriate, and very flirty with her son. She was probably telling the police that as a reason why she murdered her, but it was obviously clearly a lie.

And, this, was, because she didn't want you guys to be together. Yeah., And, she, I, think, she, honestly, was really obsessed over him because whenever we were talking to her, you know, about us and stuff and she was like, "Well, if you guys have sex, I'm going to be perfectly fine with it." And stuff like that. We were like, "Well, in the future, like we're not going to ask you to have sex. Like that's weird. like that's something we would talk about ourselves.

Mhm. Um, and, stuff, like, that., And, you, know, she was just like always all over her her uh her son, like always handsy with him and stuff like that and being really flirt like if that makes sense.

Like, inappropriate. Yes. Okay., Do, you, know, if, they, ever, were, like sexually involved? I don't think they were because when I was talking to Jonathan about my suspicions, he was like, "Yeah, I kind of feel that way too." Because, you know, my mom would always get angry at me like at me for certain things. And then, you know, I would tell her like, you know, "Why are you getting angry at me for this?" And he was like "I don't understand it." And then he was also talking about like how he seen some of this stuff too and he made us feel uncomfortable. And then that's when I told him, I was like, "You see why I killed your mom? Like, do you understand? because she wouldn't let us be together. Like nobody will let us be together. And it's kind of like it's kind of sad because it's like it's obviously I mean it's obviously like I want this like I want him. Like I don't care people. I don't care if by the time

I turn 18 he stops being a man. I don't I love him. And, after, this, confession, both, Caitlyn and Jonathan were arrested and charged with murder. So police now just needed to find Nicole's body. They knew that she had been placed in a communal dumpster by this evil pair. However, it had been 3 weeks since the murder. And because it had taken so long for the police to track down Jonathan and Caitlyn and even find out about Nicole's murder, Nicole's body had already been taken to landfill. And police tried to track her body down, but they couldn't find it. And tragically, Nicole's body has still never been found. And this is something that Nicole's family will always be absolutely devastated and horrified by. And following the arrest Jonathan and Caitlyn were held in custody, awaiting their trial. Now Caitlyn tried to defend herself, tried to make herself all innocent, and she blamed everything on Jonathan. However

in the end, the court decided that Caitlyn would be tried as an adult, even though she was only 17 at the time of the murder. And both Jonathan and Caitlyn are now facing aggravated murder charges. They were charged as equal partners in this awful crime. And in the end, before the case even went to trial they both plead guilty and they were both sentenced to life in prison. And they both have to serve a minimum of 25 years before the possibility of parole. And that was the case of Caitlyn Coons and Jonathan Jones, which was just absolutely awful from beginning to end.

I don't even know what to say about this case. First of all, Jonathan is completely evil. Like, he he is a sexual predator and then he just allowed his mom to be murdered. He did nothing to protect his mom. And he obviously groomed a minor. But then Caitlyn, even though she started off this video as a victim, she turned into a perpetrator. And even though she started off as a victim, that's no excuse for what she did. She murdered an innocent woman. And I just want to end this video remembering the victim of today's case and that is Nicole Jones. Nicole Jones was described as the kindest, sweetest and most caring person. She loved spending time with her family, loved doting on her nieces and nephews, and most of all, she would do anything for those around her who she loved. In her later years, she loved spending time at home in the place that she loved the most, and she was taken far, far too

soon in the crulest of manners. She was just 53 years old. And that brings us to the end of today's case. As always, let me know your thoughts, theories, and opinions. And don't forget to leave me your case suggestions in the comments down below because I always want to know what you want to hear next. Thank you again to ExpressVPN for sponsoring today's video, and I'll see you all in my next one. Bye.
