The perpetrator from today's case is a man named Lewis Edwards and he is the definition of pure evil. He was cunning. He was intelligent in a very disgusting way. And then one day when he was in his 20ies, he infiltrated Snapchat and he started grooming hundreds and hundreds of underage girls and children. And this was all to do with some very dodgy dark web organization called Snap Goddard, which produced and distributed the most disgusting content you could ever imagine. But the worst thing about this whole case is that Lewis Edwards was a police officer. He was somebody that is supposed to protect people, protect children, yet he was grooming and abusing them. He was actually a serving police officer when he was carrying out his crimes and he used his position of

Lewis Edwards was born in 1999. An exact date of birth is not known. And he grew up in the town of Bridge End in Wales where he lived with his parents. And growing up it is said that Lewis was a pretty unremarkable child. He kept himself to himself. He didn't have many friends and he was described as a bit of a loner. Lewis also struggled a lot with his mental health in school, suffered with depression and anxiety. It is also said that he was very immature for his age that he hadn't developed socially or emotionally the same as his peers. He also apparently looked a lot younger for his years as well, which he definitely uses to his advantage later on in this

4:16 case. And as he entered into his teenage years, Lewis would spend most of his time locked away in his bedroom on his computer. And it is very likely that at that very moment, as young as only a teenager, Lewis is already viewing indecent content. Now, obviously, we have no confirmation of that, but it is highly likely that he's already accessing illegal material involving young girls and children. But before we get to all of that, Lewis is now 18 years old and Lewis is starting to think about like his career. What does he want to do for the rest of his life? And this is when he landed on the idea of becoming a police officer. Now, why did Lewis want to become a police officer?

5:03 Did he actually have innocent intentions here? Did he actually want to join the police to do good? or did he want to join the police to maybe have power and abuse his position of power? Well, we actually don't know, but if you want my opinion, it's the latter. So, anyway he's 18. He wants to join the police. He goes through the process that everyone goes through if they want to join the police. At some point, South Wales Police, which is one of the four major police forces in Wales, accepted Lewis as a traininee police officer. So, he's not a police officer yet, but he's in training. He became a student at the police academy in his hometown. He is still living with his parents. And it was at this time where we do have confirmation that Lewis starts getting involved in some very dark and disturbing things because now we get to 2020 and the pandemic has just begun.

5:59 Wales was in lockdown and this is when Lewis does become a fullon pedophile. Now, to be honest, like I've already said, he was probably already viewing this content from an earlier age. We just don't have confirmation of that but it's highly likely. But right now in 2020, we know that Lewis began viewing some of the most disgusting content involving children. He started watching all sorts of videos where children were being sexually abused. He was doing all of this on the dark web. He was also paying for this material as well. So he wasn't just accessing it. No, no, no. He was also paying for the privilege of watching this disgusting content. He became involved in all sorts of communities that are dedicated to child abuse on the dark web, which I don't even want to think about. Like it disgusts me to my core that there is actually communities out there dedicated to creating and sharing indecent photos

6:59 and videos of children. But Lewis became a part of a lot of these communities online. And in particular, he became involved with a very dodgy organization which is known as Snap Goddard. And if you Google Snapgod, there's not actually a lot of information out there on them which is suspicious if you ask me, but okay. But anyway, what I could find out about Snap Goddard is that it is apparently a community and an organization of pedophiles. And it is a global community. It is a global network of pedophiles and they are dedicated to the production of indecent material of children and distributing that, selling that and it's all operated via the Telegram messaging app and as we know some very dodgy things take place on Telegram. It's definitely hard to track what's going on on Telegram. A lot of criminals use that app. And this organization, Snapguard, sells this material over Telegram using Bitcoin.

8:00 And the group are completely untraceable, which is probably why there's not that much information about them. And Lewis became a customer of this organization, Snapgot. He would purchase this material, this child abuse material from this organization using Bitcoin. And he just got slowly more dragged into this world of pedophiles and all of these communities and trading material. And he became an addiction for him, like an obsession until one day Lewis decided that he no longer wanted to be just a customer of this organization. He actually wanted to start producing and distributing his very own illegal content to distribute and sell as part of this group, SnapGod.

8:46 And it really does escalate very quickly because we are now in November of 2020. So 6 months into the lockdown and 6 months after, we do have confirmation that Lewis is viewing this kind of content and buying this kind of content. So, in a six-month period, Lewis has decided to not only be a customer of this kind of content, but he wants to produce it himself, which is a very quick escalation. It just tells you that he has been thinking about creating this kind of content for a long, long time. And it was in November of 2020 that Lewis set out to try and find his very own victims. And how was Lewis planning on doing that? Well, he was planning on using the social media app Snapchat to his advantage. Now, of course, using Snapchat has a lot of advantages to creeps and pedophiles like Lewis because the content, the videos, the photos they disappear, which is perfect for somebody like Lewis. So, Lewis created

9:42 himself multiple different accounts on Snapchats using fake names, fake profile pictures. He had all fake details and everything. and each account he was posing as a teenager. This is when he went online and he just found random photos of teenage boys that were around the age of 14, 13, sometimes even 12 and he would use that photo of the teenage boy as his profile picture. So then when he did target his victims, his victims would think that they are speaking to a fellow teenager. So now that he has his multiple Snapchat accounts set up, this is when he starts contacting victims for the very first time. And I think we all just need to remember right now that this man Lewis Edwards is currently training to be a police officer because yes, we are in lockdown, but he is still training to be a police officer, which is just absolutely insane. So, who were the victims that Lewis wanted to target?

10:36 Well, Lewis decided that he was only interested in girls that were under the age of 16. Anybody older than 16 was just simply too old for him, which is disgusting. And I just want to remind you of his age. He is either 20 or 21 at this point. And anyone over the age of 16 is too old for him. But what is just really, really disgusting and even worse is that Lewis didn't have a lower age on how young his victims could be. He really just didn't care as long as they were under the age of 16. Lewis was completely fine at targeting girls as young as 10 years old. And he actually does have victims that are that young.

11:15 It's truly sickening this case. So Lewis went out targeting these young innocent, vulnerable girls. And each time he contacted someone, it went in a very similar way. He would first contact the underage girl, pretending that he knew them, pretending that he went to the same school as them or he lived in the same area as them. He wanted to try and connect to his victim to make the victim feel comfortable, to feel safe to think, "Oh, well, this is just another teenage boy from my school. I can talk to him. there's no harm with that. Or, oh my god, he lives in my small town. Maybe I can make a new friend. So, he would start by sending these young girls messages and say, hi I'm whatever fake name he was using. Hi I'm this name and I go to your school.

12:01 I'm actually in the year above you. Or he would say, hi, my name is blah blah blah and your friend so and so sent me here. Let's start talking. Let's hang out. Let's be friends. And he would always start the conversations off very innocently. He would start with small talk. He would ask how his victims were how school was going, family life hobbies. He would always want to relate to his victims again to lure them into a full sense of security. And he would always be complimenting the girls a lot again, trying to butter them up. He would always be very attentive in their conversations as well, pretending to be interested in their hobbies and their life again to make the girls feel comfortable, to make the girls feel like they could be themselves around him and lower their guard. But on top of all of this, Lewis was also a master manipulator. Amongst all of this small talk that was going back and forth

12:57 between Lewis and his victims, he would also try and make the victims feel sorry for him. He would come up with various different sobb stories into making his victims feel sorry for him and he is grooming these young girls. He is taking his time. He's making sure that he does this properly to get what he wants. So some of these sub stories would be that he is being bullied at school that his mental health was suffering. He had anxiety. He had depression. He was selfharming. He was contemplating taking his own life. There was many different sub stories that he was coming up with.

13:29 And because he had built up this relationship and the rapport with these victims, they did truly feel sorry for him. They thought, "Oh my god, I'm possibly Louiswis's, but obviously he was using a fake name. I am his only friend. I need to be there for him." And once these girls had truly fell into Louiswis's trap, had fully let their guard down, this is when the real abuse and horror started. And I am going to share a few stories from a few of the victims. And I do have to warn you, they are so difficult to listen to. They are so, so heartbreaking. Because one of Louiswis's first victims, we will only refer to them as girl A. Lewis reached out to girl A on Snapchat using a fake name. He was actually going by the name Jacob with this victim. He was using a fake profile picture of a much younger teenage boy. And Lewis started speaking to girl A. And he started off with small talk. He asked her name, her age. And

14:26 this is tragically when Lewis found out that girl A was only 12 years old. So when they first start speaking, Jacob Jacob uh Lewis starts complimenting girl A lot, saying how pretty she was, that she was a nice person, complimenting her physical appearance as well as her personality. He also would ask her about her life, what sports she did, hobbies. And clearly, girl A had expressed that she did horse riding and she loved horses. So, Jacob aka Louis would ask for photos like, "Can I see your horses? Can I see you horse riding?" And then obviously this Jacob person would tell a about himself. Jacob would share loads of fake details about his own life, his own interests and hobbies. And this is when Jacob told girl A that he was only a 13-year-old teenage boy, which again was something that made girl A feel incredibly comfortable about cuz she was 12 and she was speaking to a boy that was only 13. Completely innocent.

15:31 There's nothing wrong with that. And their conversations in the beginning were completely innocent. But then this Jacob person started to manipulate girl A. started to make her feel sorry for him. And he started telling her a sub story. He started saying that his younger sister was currently in hospital because she suffered from really bad seizures. And he said that the fact that his sister was in hospital, it was really hard on him. It was taking a toll on his mental health and he was selfharming because of it, which is obviously a complete load of lies. But girl A, she believed him. I mean, of course she did. She had built up this somewhat of a friendship with Jacob. And why would she think that Jacob was lying to her? She's just an innocent 12year-old girl. She completely bought into Jacob's story. She also felt scared for Jacob's well-being because Jacob was expressing that he was struggling and

16:25 she started to panic. She wanted to help Jacob because she felt like Jacob was now her friend. And this was the exact mindset that Lewis wanted his victims in. And this grooming of girl A went on for a very long time. And Lewis was now emotionally blackmailing girl A. He was now telling girl A that she had finally given him a reason to live. Lewis also started video calling girl A over Snapchat because he wanted to see her live on video. And I know what you're thinking. Hang on a minute. Lewis is like 20 years old. How is he going to get around this? like he can't go on a video call and actually convince this 12-year-old girl that he's 13. However every single time they had a video chat Lewis would be sat in the dark. You could barely see his face. Like, you could literally only see half of his face. And remember, people have said that he looks very young for his age.

17:19 So, he possibly could get away with looking like a 16year-old, maybe, not 13. But yeah, the lights were off. And girl A would say, "Why can't I see you? Why are you in the dark? And every single time, Lewis would just say that his lights were broken and he couldn't turn a light on. But girl A would be there sat in her bedroom fully visible to Lewis. She was completely open to having a friendly chat with him because she felt almost pressure that she was the only reason why he was living. She felt almost responsible for Louiswis's life. And how sick and twisted is that?

17:55 Lewis would also put on a high-pitched voice, again pretending to be a 13-year-old boy. And tragically, as you can imagine, and probably have guessed where this is going, after 2 to 3 weeks of these video chats, this is when Lewis's severe abuse began. Because now that he had groomed girl A, he now had her in his clutches. He kept asking girl A to send over photos of herself, and he would constantly bombard her. Send me a photo. Send me a photo. And at first, he was only asking for normal photos, i.e. selfies or just her out and about living her life. But then as time went on Louis started asking for photos that were more revealing until eventually Louis started asking for photos where girl A had no clothes on. He was also now asking girl A to completely undress for him whilst they are on their video calls. And I can imagine that in the beginning, girl A was probably shocked horrified. She probably didn't want to

18:57 do this. She was probably scared confused. But Lewis, as Jacob was very persuasive. He was very manipulative. And you've got to remember that he has been emotionally blackmailing girl A. He would say to girl A, "Oh, this is so normal. All teenage girls do this for teenage boys. It's normal, so you should do it." He wanted to make Gerai feel like she was the problem, like she was the one not acting normal. He also said to Gerai that if she didn't send over these photos that she would be the reason that he would take his own life and that is just despicable to put that kind of pressure on anyone but a 12year-old girl. It's just absolutely despicable. I just am lost for words.

19:41 And girl believed this. She believed that if she didn't send over these photos, Jacob would spiral, his mental health would get worse, and he would take his own life, and she didn't want to be responsible for that. So, she started taking photos of herself, and she started sending over photos of herself with no clothes on. And obviously, girl A's parents had no idea what was going on. They had no idea that their daughter was being abused and groomed online into doing all of this. And it's just so heartbreaking to think about this happening to girl A. She would feel so isolated and alone. And you've also got to remember that this is during lockdown as well, which was an incredibly isolating time for a lot of people, which would have only compounded how isolated and alone she would have felt. And Louiswis's demands of girl A just kept getting more and more extreme.

20:29 He started asking girl A for videos as well as photos. And he would ask for videos of girl A quote doing stuff. And whilst we don't have the details of what he means by doing stuff, I think we can all imagine what he was asking. So, Girl A would send videos of herself doing whatever Lewis requested of her because not only is Lewis manipulating girl A but he is also threatening her family. He actually said harm will come to her family if she doesn't do what he asks. And then finally, Lewis actually asks to meet girl A in person. Now, Girl A was so terrified at this point. She was terrified of this teenage boy, Jacob.

21:14 Because yes, that is another crazy thing is that girl A still thinks that she's talking to a 13-year-old teenage boy called Jacob. So, she was terrified of Jacob. She had no idea what he was capable of. She was terrified about what he might do to her in person, but then she was terrified about what might happen to her family if she didn't meet up with him. She started crying herself to sleep every single night. She felt like her world was falling apart until she finally broke down and started crying in front of her best friend. And she told her best friend everything. And this was such a weight off her shoulders. And this is what gave her the confidence to completely cut off contact with Jacob. And thankfully that is the end of the ordeal to girl A. There would be no more contact between girl A and Jacob i.e. Lewis. Lewis now no longer had complete control over her. However that was just the start of things and it

22:09 does get so much worse from here because after losing contact with girl I, what does Lewis do? He just goes out and finds himself another victim. He does not waste any time whatsoever. And this next victim we will only refer to as girl B. She was just 13 years old. This time Lewis was going by the fake name of James. And Lewis used the same tactics with girl A as he did with girl B. He started off with small talk, asking about her day, asking about her interests, her school, and blah blah blah. And when he found out what school girl B went to, this is when James aka Lewis said that he actually went to the same school as girl B. He was just in a different year, but they went to the same school. And Lewis had clearly found out some of the names of the children from this school. and he started listing off reels of names of other kids that went to this school to prove that he went to the same school. He was using

23:09 this information to manipulate girl B. And she trusted him. She believed that this James did go to the same school. I mean, he must do. Lewis as James sent girl B a photo, a fake photo of himself that he had just found on the internet of a teenage boy that looked approximately 14 years old who had blonde hair, blue eyes. And once Lewis had sent this fake image of himself to girl B, he immediately asked for an image of her in her bra. And as soon as girl B sent over a photo of herself in her bra, Lewis would then use this photo to blackmail girl B because he now kept telling girl B that if she didn't do exactly what he wanted. He would send this image to everyone in their school he would embarrass her in front of the whole school. And this was the last thing that Goldby wanted. So she started to comply with every single one of Louiswis's demands. And of course, he was demanding more photos. So, girl B

24:13 kept sending over more photos of herself. These photos became more and more extreme as time went by until he was demanding that she send photos fully nude of herself over to him. But then this next thing that he does to girl B is so so disgusting because not only was he demanding indecent images of her, he also started to send over videos to girl B of other children having sex with one another, being forced to have sex with one another. And he forced girl B to watch this indecent material of other children being abused because he told girl B that he wanted her to learn about sex. And then after forcing girl B to watch this content, he then forced her into recreating these videos and to then send these videos over to him. Lewis then started making many more sick and disgusting requests of girl B. Because in the videos where she was recreating the content, the indecent content of children, in one video that he made girl

25:17 B record of herself, he made her refer to Lewis as her stepbrother. On another occasion, Lewis blackmailed girl B into sending him 50 videos of herself in one day. And if she didn't do this, he would send all of the content and all of the material that he already had of her to the whole school, embarrass her, expose her in front of everyone. And in a lot of these videos, girl B would be crying. It would be very visible how distressed she was. But Lewis didn't care. He actually said to girl B that he couldn't get away from her because she was too pretty. until eventually after sending hundreds of images and videos of herself, girl B finally managed to escape Louiswis's clutches and she now never had contact with him again. And we don't know the exact details of how she exactly got away from him. But regardless, I am just so happy that she's finally free. But of course, Lewis didn't actually care and he just moved

26:18 on to the next victim. And this is someone that we will refer to as Girl C. and she is only 12 years old and she did have a profile picture public on Snapchat where she looks 12 years old. She looks very young, innocent vulnerable. She's actually in her school uniform and it started off the same. Louis started with the same grooming tactics. However, unlike before, Lewis actually starts threatening extreme violence towards GirlC and her family pretty much straight away. Again, this is just further evidence that he is escalating, that he is getting so confident in the routine of grooming and manipulating and abusing these young girls. He said that he knew where Girl C lived, which unfortunately he actually did. And he said that he would harm her family if she didn't comply with his demands. And Lewis would send girl C screenshots of Google Maps that showed her house because he found out where she

27:15 lived clearly from just digging on social media or something. But that must have been so terrifying for girl C. So Louis said that she needed to send over an image of herself in a bra and if she didn't, harm would come to her family. He actually said that he would go over to her house, bomb her house, and shoot her parents. Now, Girl C was really hoping that all of this was just a hoax. She tried to ignore Louis, but he was just bombarding Girl C with messages over and over again. He also started sending images of his own penis. And girl C is only 12 years old. It's heartbreaking to think of all of these young girls and what they are going through at the hands of this monster.

27:57 And eventually, she did send one image of herself in a bra, but then she blocked him. And thankfully, Lewis never made contact again. But Lewis then moved on to the next victim who is girl D and she is only 13 years old and she had just started a new school and Lewis used that to his advantage because he started telling girl D that he was another boy at her new school. So then when Louis started making demands of girl D, Gold D complied because she wanted to please this fellow teenage boy that was attending her new school because she wanted to fit in. Then there is another victim, girl E. And Lewis started demanding that girl E write snap God across her breasts impermanent marker clearly because he wanted to share this image or video with his disgusting pedophile organization that he is a part of which is just absolutely disgusting.

28:52 And girl E, she did this. She recorded herself doing this but the whole time she was crying. She was pleading with Lewis. She was saying do I have to? Lewis then moved on to the next victim who was just 12 years old. This is girl F. And he was making so many demands of girl F. He told girl F that the videos that she was sending him, they needed to be getting longer and longer each time. And he also started to demand that she stop hiding her face. In one video, he instructed girl F to put on her school uniform and then record herself slowly stripping out of her uniform until she was completely naked. Girl F begged and pleaded for Louiswis to just leave her alone, for this to stop. Girl F actually said to Lewis that she was contemplating taking her own life. That is how much this was affecting her. But Lewis responded to this saying, "I've done this with other people before and they have killed themselves and I don't

29:50 care." Which is not true. Thankfully none of Louiswis's victims took their own life. But he really just doesn't care. He actually doesn't care if one of his victims take their own life. So Lewis is now on to the next victim. And I just want to point out that a lot of these victims, they were overlapping. It wasn't just one after another. They were kind of happening at the same time. So the next victim is Girl G. She is 14 years old. And unlike his other victims Girl G actually told her dad what was happening. And Girl G's dad took her phone, he went onto her Snapchat account, and he started speaking to Louis directly. He said to Louis, "Stop this now. what you are doing is illegal and I am going to the police. And you would think that this would freak Lewis out because this is the first adult that has gotten involved. They're threatening to go to the police. But Lewis just responded to the dad's threats of going

30:41 to the police with LOL. That is all he said. LOL. Lol. And why did he respond with this? Well, that is because it's very, very easy to forget, but Lewis is actually training to become a police officer. He is the police. So obviously he's not a fullyfledged police officer right now, but he is still in that world and he just couldn't care less that this man was threatening to go to the police because Lewis thought that he was untouchable. He thought that he was the police and what is this dad actually going to do? But then what happens next?

31:13 And this is just truly unbelievable. But whilst Lewis is grooming and abusing all of these underage girls, he's obviously training to become a police officer. Well, it is now that he graduates and Lewis Edwards is now a fullyfledged official police officer. He was now on active duty protecting the public protecting the public from people like himself. It is just truly crazy. It is crazy that he was able to lead this double life, that he was able to keep this side of himself a secret whilst training to become a police officer. It is just mind-blowing that nobody knew that behind closed doors he was abusing hundreds of underage girls that he was this active pedophile in the police force. And I know I have only shared a few stories from a few of the victims but there actually were hundreds of victims of Lewis Edwards. Lewis Edwards was abusing girls morning, day, and night. It was pretty much 24/7 on

32:16 Snapchat. He had tons of fake Snapchat profiles. He was using them to contact multiple girls at the same time. And we don't have every single story from every single one of Louiswis's victims because they haven't all been made public. And Lewis was fully convinced that he was going to get away with his crimes because infuriatingly, he's actually pretty intelligent and he was going about his crimes in a very intelligent way. He was very competent with technology. He installed layers upon layers upon layers of encryption, making sure that he was pretty much untraceable. He was also very meticulous about storing all of the indecent material that he had because at this point he literally had thousands of indecent images and videos of underage girls. And he would categorize the material into the different victim's names. He then categorized them by age.

33:09 And then he had specific categories for certain acts that they were carrying out. It's just absolutely sickening. And he was getting so bold and so confident that he was untouchable that he started taking his personal phone out with him when he was on duty as a police officer to abuse and groom girls on duty. It's just absolutely insane that he was going around being a police officer and he would get out his phone and he would view indecent material of children. He would groom and abuse victims right there in his police uniform. I don't know if he ever had a partner or anything on the police force, but if he did, how did no one see what he was doing? And Lewis just keeps going through more and more victims. And his demands of his victims are just getting more sick and twisted. He now started to demand that his victims penetrate themselves, not only with their fingers but household objects. He made underage

34:05 girls penetrate themselves with objects such as hair brushes and hair straighteners. A lot of his victims would injure themselves doing this. They would cry out in pain on the video. They would be bleeding. But Lewis would just demand and order them to carry on. Lewis also made contact with two sisters who were aged 13 and 15. And he made them both send various different images and videos of themselves at the same time. He would say sickening things back to them like, "I wish I could watch these forever." And then at one point, he made contact with his youngest victim yet who was only 10 years old. And I just can't believe that. Like 10 years old.

34:49 And just like he did with a lot of his other victims, he made this 10year-old girl, this 10-year-old child, send a video of herself penetrating herself which just makes me absolutely sick to my stomach. I honestly have no words for this man. He is the definition of evil. He's a monster. And as you can imagine the impact that Lewis was having on his victims was absolutely awful. I mean, we already know that some of his victims have expressed that they wanted to take their own life. Well, that is not a unique case when it comes to Louiswis's victims. So many of them were selfharming. So many of them did want to take their own life. A mother of one of his victims got a call from her daughter's school telling her that her daughter was suicidal and had begun selfharming. And can you imagine the distress of that phone call? Receiving that phone call as a parent, not knowing what is happening to your child before

35:42 your very eyes because none of the parents were aware of what was happening to their children. And that is what is scary about cases like today because this grooming, this abuse was happening to these children in their own bedrooms which is somewhere where these children should feel safe. Other victims have described turning into a shell of themselves, that they didn't want to leave the house anymore, that it was affecting their education, it was affecting their relationship with their family and friends. Other girls have expressed that the abuse made them insecure about their bodies. It made them confused about sexual relationships and what sex actually was. A lot suffer with various different mental health issues anxiety depression eating disorders. The list goes on. And it just breaks my heart that most of these victims are 12 and 13 years old. They are completely innocent, just going

36:32 about their lives as teenagers, trying to navigate the world as teenagers which is difficult anyway. And then their innocence has been taken in the most crulest of ways by this monster. And by this point, Lewis had been grooming and abusing young girls for 2 years. It had been going on for a very long time. And it really does just blow my mind that the whole time that he is grooming and abusing girls, he is either training to be a police officer or is an actual police officer. How was he able to get away with it for so long? I will never know. But just to make matters even worse, Lewis now started using his job as a police officer to target young and vulnerable underage girls. He is now using his position as a police officer to abuse children because one day Lewis responded to a 999 call that had come in from a young 15year-old girl that had been having difficulties with her stepfather. So Lewis responded to the

37:27 call. He went out to the 15year-old girl. He interviewed her, started asking her about the issues that she had been having with her stepfather. He started making all of these notes about how vulnerable she was. And he actually made a note that she needed extra care and attention. And then after he got off from duty that day, he could not get this girl out of his mind. So he started to look up her details online. And then 17 days after he responded to that 999 call, Lewis made contact with this 15year-old girl. He started blackmailing her into sending indecent images of herself, which is just truly unbelievable that he's now using his job as a police officer to find vulnerable victims. And that is why I do believe that he joined the police force for this reason alone. I think it was for multiple reasons if I'm being completely honest. I think he wanted to be in the police to feel untouchable, to feel

38:19 powerful, but then he also wanted to use his police badge to his advantage to find victims. And as well, you've got to realize that most people do trust the police. So if he comes across a child that he wants to abuse, in his police uniform, that child is more likely going to trust him, Lewis, in a police uniform than a random stranger. It's beyond belief. I just I cannot wrap my head around it. But going back to this 15-year-old girl, thankfully she didn't respond to Louiswis's threats, and Louis couldn't get any indecent images out of her. And Lewis really is getting out of control at this point. His crimes truly are getting worse and worse. He's now finding new ways to target victims. But thankfully, he would not get away with this forever. And his crimes are soon about to come to an end because one day the South Wales Police Force, which you got to remember is the exact police force that Lewis Edwards works for

39:13 South Wales Police Force were making a big crackdown on online pedophiles. And when they were doing their investigation, they were given details about an individual in Wales who had been using Bitcoin to purchase indecent material of children on the dark web. And we know that Lewis uses Bitcoin to purchase indecent material of children on the dark web and on Telegram from his little organization that he's a part of Snap God. So the police kept digging into this individual that was in Wales. They kept peeling back the layers and layers and layers of encryption. It probably did take a very long time until finally in December of 2022. They managed to track an IP address that led to a home in South Wales. And who was living at this address? Well, of course it was Lewis Edwards. And the police force were shocked that one of their own was this prolific online pedophile. So the police opened up a massive

40:16 investigation into Lewis Edwards. But they had to keep everything on the down low because they didn't want to alert Lewis as to what they were doing. And this investigation lasted 6 weeks, which does really, really annoy me because I just keep thinking about those 6 weeks and how many more victims Lewis could have targeted in those six weeks. But then I have to remind myself that the police, they need to do their job and they need to make sure they have enough evidence to get Lewis and to charge him arrest him, and put him behind bars. So this investigation went on from December of 2022 all the way until February of 2023. And this is when the police storm into Lewis's home. They seized all of his devices and Lewis Edwards is finally arrested. And Lewis was actually still living with his parents. He's currently 23 years old. And I think that that just makes this even worse. I don't know why

41:08 but the fact that he was abusing hundreds of underage girls from his childhood bedroom and he still lives with his parents. I don't know why, but I just feel like that makes this so much worse. But just before the police stormed into Louiswis's home to arrest him, Louis's mom and dad were in the house. And Louis gave his mom three mobile phones to bury in the back garden, which unbelievably she did. No questions asked. She just buried these three mobile phones. She actually buried the three mobile phones in the cat's grave that had recently been dug in the garden. But when the police burst inside the home, they seize all of the computers, hard drives, any mobile phones that they can get their hands on. And remember, all of these devices are heavily encrypted. They were ridiculously hard to get into. Lewis had also installed a selfdestruct device, so if the police entered in the wrong password too many times, all of the

42:07 evidence would be deleted and lost forever. But finally, after quite a while, they managed to crack into these devices, and they got into Louiswis's file system. And this is when the true scale of Louiswis's crimes came to light. Because up until this point, the police believed that Lewis was only purchasing indecent content of children using Bitcoin. They were not actually aware of all of the grooming and abuse that was going on on Snapchat. They didn't realize that Lewis was actually producing indecent content of children himself. So, when they finally cracked the devices, this is when they found everything. The fact that Lewis himself had hundreds of victims. They found that he had been contacting hundreds of young girls all by himself and forcing them to do the most disgusting, degrading things. The scale of his crimes was just truly unbelievable. There were over 4,500 different images and videos from more

43:05 than 210 different victims. Some were as young as 10 and the oldest was only 16 years old. And the type of acts shown in the images and videos ranged from category C material all the way up to category A material. Now category C material is basically just nude images, nude videos with no sex acts. Category B material is involving sex acts. And then category A the most serious, includes things like penetration. And there were demands of Louiswis's victims to engage in various different sexual activities, including exposing their breasts, exposing their genitals, and of course, penetrating themselves with various different objects. And the police were just absolutely stunned that one of their own had done this, especially to such young vulnerable children. Now, when it came to Louiswis's interview at the police station, he just responded no comment to every single question. What I'm saying

44:02 to you is when we examine this hard drive and this desktop computer where we fully examine it, are we going to find evidence of you engaging in sexual communication with children?

In, decent, images, and, videos, no, comment., He, was, also, being interviewed by police officers that he had literally been working alongside just a few days prior, which would have been truly an unbelievable situation to be in. Lewis was then taken into custody and he was charged with over60 offenses. And in the end, Lewis wanted to avoid a trial. He didn't want the public shame of what he has done. So, he pleaded guilty to all charges. So all that was left was the sentencing hearing. And Lewis is that much of a coward. He refused to attend his own sentencing hearing. He couldn't even turn up in court and face what he had done and face his victims and their families in court. But the families and the jury had to sit through all of the evidence. They had to see all of the images, all of the videos, which would have just been the most harrowing experience you could imagine. the videos

45:16 and the audio of these videos of these girls pleading for Louiswis to stop these girls. Some of them would express that they wanted to take their own life on these videos. They were crying. And can you imagine being the parent of one of these girls in court listening to that, listening to your own child saying those words. And there was just so much evidence against Lewis. And obviously he pleaded guilty. So all that needed to be done was to sentence him. And Lewis Edwards was sentenced to life in prison and he has to serve a minimum of 12 years which is not enough. Like just imagine him only serving 12 years. But the judge on this case did say that because Lewis poses such a danger to children and society. there is a very good chance that he will never receive parole and he will spend the rest of his life behind bars which fingers crossed he never gets out because he should never be able to walk the street again.

And then on top of this Louis's mom because she buried those three mobile phones in her back garden she was also sentenced to 2 years in prison for perverting the course of justice. And in the aftermath of this case, the victims and their families have spoken out publicly about the devastating effects that this has had on them. Some parents have expressed extreme guilt for not realizing what was happening to their children. A lot of the families lost trust in the police which I can completely understand. And it was around the time of the arrest and trial that a lot of the victims actually learned that the person that they were speaking to was not a fellow teenage boy, which I think is crazy [snorts] as well. This is when they learned for the very first time that the person that they were speaking to on the other end of Snapchat was actually a 20-some year

47:03 old man. And this just made the trauma that they had gone through 10 times worse. It had an even bigger impact on their mental health. Some attempted self harm and taking their own life because of these revelations. The fact that he was an adult, that he was a fullg grown man just made the pain so much worse. Many of the victims now suffer from anxiety, depression, panic attacks eating disorders, and a whole host of other mental health issues. And to this day, it still affects their everyday life. It affects their education. It affects their relationships with family with friends, romantic relationships. It has knocked their confidence and it is just devastating the effect that this one evil monster has had on so many people and these girls now have to carry this trauma and pain for the rest of their lives. And I truly from the bottom of my heart wish them all the best on their recovery. I just hope that one day
