Okay, we're so excited to be back and doing another hotline episode and answering fashion questions with Depop, the home of circular fashion.

I feel like you never get to really like Simon Powell with fashion advice, so this has been really fun for you.

Yeah, because I don't want to take up all the time on the pod, so it's like I need this little extra couple of minutes.

Yeah. And I like asking you important questions. Sorry, we're just informing the people.

We're also both wearing depot right now. I'm wearing this really cool um deconstructed jersey.

Deconstructed soccer jersey that has lace on it and a little ribbon. So, I'm like I'm just multifaceted.

So, Lower East Side. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, this with like a long skirt and like combat boots.

Grace, first question. Wait, there has to be a game where we both have like one thing and see how we style it differently. What are you wearing?

I'm just wearing this little like gray tank with this black I mean your boobs are out.

Sorry that my boobs are poking everyone in the eye. I love those the leather. Thanks.

Yeah, she's off for a siren little dominatrix. Depop is also where taste recognizes taste. Hannah, you have the app open. I'm obsessed with scrolling it because I put in my size and then sometimes I also put in like a style I'm looking for and then I just

She can like really narrow it down. Yeah, it's not It doesn't feel as chaotic. Oh my god, this is so cute. It's like um a snakes skin jacket.

Okay, we're in the middle of something. Sorry. Really cute snakes skin jacket. Hello Hannah and Paige. Hope everything is good with you. Um so right now I'm almost 6 months pregnant. I can say that my bump is still pretty small, but I think I'm getting into a point where the bump is going to bump. Um, and I just wanted to know what would be your fashion advice for someone that is like doesn't want to fall into the mom jeans pregnant dilemma.

What a great great question. I feel like you've definitely thought of your fashion looks when you're pregnant.

As someone who's never been pregnant but has a lot of opinions on a Pinterest board

on pregnant women's fashion. Um I think it's play the Super Bowl. I think it's and you get a record deal.

Yeah. Perform at the Super Bowl. Become Rihanna. Um excuse me. God bless you. I think it's so personal on like whether you're showing the baby, but like some people are all about like I'm wearing a two-piece set. I'm wearing all my old clothes. I'm I don't care. And then there's other people that are like I rather wear like a flowy long maxi dress. So I feel like it's totally based on what your one your style is and your like comfortability.

But people don't talk enough about Yeah. that like four, five month range where you want to show it off, but it could also look like you're just bloated and like let yourself go. Yeah.

So, it's like a thin line cuz people don't really know you're pregnant. I mean, you can walk around with like your hand underneath it, but that's exhausting.

I love the idea of accentuating the bump in terms of wearing like a lowrise cargo pant and then like a cute maybe like fitted t-shirt with like a sweater over your shoulders. Um, I just like I like the idea of like a baggy pant

and like a cute little like cardigan or like some type of top. How do you feel about belly button out?

I think if you want your belly button out, get your belly button out. Yeah, let her feel freeing. Let her fly.

You know, I don't I don't know what it feels like to have a pregnant stomach. So, I don't know if I'm going to be one of those people that's like, no, I need to have my stomach out or I'll die.

Yeah, cuz it could might be really hot where you're like, I need an air out, right? Or if I'm like, no, I want the biggest, comfiest, coziest sweater.

Yeah. I think the answer though is having that range depending on the day depending on what you're going through mentally physically.

But I think like oversized cargo pants with a cute little ballet flat and then maybe like a cardigan t-shirt. You could do a crop t-shirt if you want the belly out or you can do a regular t-shirt like oversized if you don't.

What about doing a button-d down but only buttoned at the top and then it goes out.

Cute. And that's why they call me her apprentice. YOU quizzing me on fashion. How do you spell? How do you spell?

Okay, Grace. Okay, this is for Megan. I love when Chris reads them because it's like an alien first came to the world. I have a really hard time getting rid of clothes, even the ones that are outdated, because fashion trends keep coming back around.

My fiance thinks that I have too many clothes, and I agree. So, I want to do a closet cleanout. What is the best way to know if you would get rid of something?

My rule is if I haven't worn it in a full year, I'm never wearing it. I know. And it's sad.

It's sad cuz you're like, well, that's 80% of what I own. The problem with me though is I only wear the same three things.

Yeah. All the time. So it's like I don't wear anything in my closet. A way to like because sometimes I feel like people go into a closet clean out and they're brighteyed and they're bushy tailed and they don't actually know what they're getting themselves into. I like to prepare a couple months prior to a closet cleanout.

And here's what I started doing. Anything I'm wearing over and over, when I put it back in my closet, I'm putting it in a specific section cuz I'm like, I wear that a lot. I need to remember that I wear that a lot.

I reach for it a lot. There's also like a trick where you if you put it back in the right section, you like twist the hanger so you know that like, oh, I always wear that. Then after like two months, you can see things that you haven't even touched and it's like, get rid of it.

That is so [ __ ] right. cuz yeah, in theory I would wear some of these things, but it's like if you're always going to pick something over it,

it doesn't need to be there. So, you have to do a little like science and I went too hard with a closet cleanout and I I have no leather boots. Like, I threw them off. I donated them. I think I have no leather boots. How'd that happen?

Grace is laughing. Sorry, Hannah's having a meltdown. Literally, yesterday I need to wear a leather boot and I'm like, I got it. I'm like, HOW DO I THROW AWAY and donate four leather boots?

Yeah, it'll get you. Oh god. So, I I recommend doing like a little math before and like figuring out

Let's not get the math. Things you wear and things you don't. Then you can go into your closet, clean out.

It's so true. There's also things that I I'm like, I would look gorgeous if I wore it, but like it's not comfortable or it's tight or I just know that I actually look too revealing in it. Yeah, there are certain things where I'm like, I know I'm only going to wear that once for that one event, but like I love it, but it's like you don't need need it.

Also, I don't want to speak for men, but women change. Yeah. And like and we grow.

I am so different from a year ago what I would wear. Yes. It's so And it doesn't necessarily mean like

you go through phases. You go through phases and there's just so many things that I'm like that's not who I am as a woman and that's not what I'm putting out into the world anymore.

Yeah. Sorry, this is a remix. This is a remix. Um, Hannah can come to the phone right now. She's Deb.

And while you're cleaning out your closet, Dep Depot is actually the perfect place because there's no seller fees. It's so easy to like get rid of your things. And also, you might see a few things on there that you're like,

I need to replenish. Yeah. And it's great cuz you're like, oh no, I'm giving stuff away. You're making money. You're a woman in STEM.

Yep. I know you love a mood board. Did you know you can make shoppable mood boards for events? Like if let's say you're throwing a birthday party and it's like a theme

or like a vacation or a vacation with friends and you put it together, a bachelorette party. So that's really fun. I'm like obsessed with this shirt.

Hey Hannah and Paige OG Giggler here. Okay, I'll keep it short and sweet. I'm in my bridal era. I'm don't know where to find my rehearsal dinner dress. The theme is going to be a western chic. I'm getting married in the Colorado mountains. It'll be next July, so summery. And yes, I know it's super early, but I am too type Taipei to wait much longer to figure out what I'm going to wear. So, I want I'm looking for something that's super hot, super sexy, but also bridal, classy. Um, that I can wear with cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, my hair will be long and curled. That's the vibe. Let me know where to look, what I should wear. Um, I'm really just looking for pages approval on what I'm going to be wearing that night. Okay. Love you.

This is actually a great question specifically for Dep Depot because there's so many girls getting married, so many people in their bridal era, so many different wedding events and then it's like after that wedding event, they're like, "What do I do with this dress?"

Especially the rehearsal dress, you don't like necessarily keep it, right? And it's not like there everyone was at your rehearsal, so like so many people saw whatever. So I feel like girls do get rid of their rehearsal dresses. My vision immediately went to something long white. Well, really more like ivoryish silk open back tied around her neck because I think you could still do a cowboy hat with that

like haltery. Yep. And you can still do cowboy boots and it's like cute and chic, but you're still in like a classic rehearsal dinner dress. And I feel like that's

there's something like that definitely on depot. I love that for her. I think that's really classy. I also, for some reason, I was envisioning like off the shoulder

like Chloe type dress, like big sleeves almost. Maybe big sleeves or even just like a um a lace

off the shoulder, but like kind of you're giving declletage out. Yeah. I don't want to say like hippie, but like you know what I mean?

Yeah, I know what you mean. Yeah. So, Chloe was a great way to describe that. That was Sorry, that was

Sorry, I'm like sorry I'm so Okay. Um, so yeah, an offthe-shoulder is really sexy. Yeah.

And then, yeah, I would go long though. Yes, long for sure. Long because it's a little like mountainy vibe. A little cowgirly. I wish I could cap sleeves something.

That could be cute. Like a little tad white vest. Yeah, like a little bit. But it's like

sexy. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay. Grace, next. Hi, Hannah and Paige. I just wanted to ask, how do you plan your outfits? I feel like I wake up in the morning and I'm already just in a rush and then I tend to put together an outfit that I have already worn before or is not very exciting and I'm not wearing the pieces that I have bought for the season. So, I'm just wondering how you structure that in your life and if you have any tips for planning outfits.

It's truly the worst. It's a It's so like people talk about like how do you figure out what you're gonna eat for dinner every night? A a breeze. How what are you gonna wear every day? So stressful. Whenever I get in moods where I'm like, "Oh my god, I wake up every morning. I'm putting workout clothes on or I'm putting sweats and I'm not putting any outfits together and it's annoying me." I start with shoes because I find that to be the easiest because that plays off of like what's the weather today? What am I doing today? Do I have to walk a lot? So, if you start with your shoes, I feel like it's way easier.

I've never thought of that ever. My mom taught me that. I also So, like the other day it rained and I was like, "Okay, so I know I'm wearing rain boots

and then I can build off of that." So, it's like if you're going to work and you're like, "I know I don't want to be in a heel. I want to be in a ballet flat." You can build off the ballet flat. Oh, I'm wearing a riding boot to work tomorrow. Build off of that. Like,

I feel like I always build off the top. Like what top do I want to wear? No. No. No.

Yeah. See, you're making it harder for yourself because all of your tops go with pretty much all of your pants.

Very confusing. But also mentally, like let's say you have a dinner on Wednesday.

Yeah. When do you start thinking about what you're going to wear for that dinner?

Depends on who the dinner's with. But I feel like I no matter what the event is, um, if it's not like super fancy, I will never force myself to think about what I'm going to wear cuz I don't want to like cloud my head space. But I have to like start doing that cuz I'm exactly like her where it's like 10 minutes before I'm like, let's see if I get lucky.

Okay. So like last weekend I went out to dinner with a couple of my friends on a Friday night. I thought about what I was wearing out to that dinner on Monday.

Exactly. Yeah. Exact. And you knew it. You had a vision. What do you do when you have a vision? Because I know you do. You're like, "This is what's gonna look good." You put it on, it doesn't it doesn't hit the way you want it to hit.

That's a stressful That's really stressful. Oh my god, I just got hot. Yeah, because getting ready is so easy. When you you're like thought of this outfit, putting it on, whatever,

especially a new thing you bought and you're like, can't wait to wear it. Look, I I'm not God, so I I can't solve that problem,

but I will throw everything around my room and make it look like it got robbed.

Yeah. I think some things just don't work visually the way they do in your head and that's just like trial and error. I have been a person where I'm like, "Okay, I have a dinner on Friday. I have an outfit idea. I try it on on Wednesday. It's horrible." Then I'm like, "Back to the drawing board." It's really just like you have to prepare.

I love you coming back home and being like, "They stumped us today. Didn't go well today."

Tomorrow. Yeah. Do you How much do you dress? Does it depend on what you think other people are going to wear to the event? a lot. But like this was a dinner where I knew we were going to like a chic Yeah. restaurant. It was Friday night. It's New York City. It's 8:30. I knew I was wearing a heel.

But you like to be the fanciest dressed, right? I read my rooms. You want to be like top 5%. Top 10%. Yeah. I like to be bottom 10%.

I like to be in the top two of best outfits. Top one. No. I like know if I'm going out to dinner with girl my girlfriends where like I know they're putting on an outfit, I'm going to put on an outfit.

But if I'm going with people where I'm like one person's going to be in what they wore to work today, so like I can wear flats.

Yeah. Wow. We are getting the like serious how the mind works of fashion icon pedo. Um I'm going to start planning outfits more.

Yeah. You've been saying this for seven years. Years. You're like, I'm just going to plan beforehand. I'm like, okay, sure. Also, it's part of my undiagnosed ADHD where if one outfit works, I'll wear it over and over and over and over and over and over again

because I know you feel you're like until people like catch on to it and then I have to switch out

like the black summer dress of08. That was from Amazon. Oh my god. Look, cuz it was black. I thought people didn't know. I could I could name your eras. I could literally name them.

I thought people the denim shorts of 2017. I thought people didn't know about the black dress cuz it was black. We all knew.

I thought it might be different. Yeah, you tried with the denim jacket thrown on top. We knew.

Also, it was for pregnant women. I think your mom had to finally be like, "It's enough with the black dress."

You guys had an intervention. Yeah. We were like, "She's got to stop. It's every day. You know, at first it was fun and now we think it's a problem. We think it's a mental illness.
