Democratic governors are unleashing on Donald Trump. They are coming out of the gates in 2026 hot. They are not going to back down as Donald Trump tries to threaten and extort blue states. Donald Trump's latest extortion and threatening scheme is to attempt to revoke about $10 billion in child care funding in blue states like California, New York, Minnesota, and other blue states. Donald Trump again using children as pawns. Isn't that a common theme with this regime? going after the children, whether it's taking away the SNAP benefits, taking away child care services, taking away education, taking away school meals.
This is what the Trump regime does. And you just go back, whether it's Trump's connections with Epstein, Trump's behavior with children his entire life. Donald Trump and these MAGAs hate children. They hate our future. and they know that children occupy a sense of uh community respect and trying and protection and Trump wants to remove that to try to create this dissension and disunityity using children as pawns. So, let's just go through some of these clips right here. You have Democratic Governor Tim Walls of Minnesota, as Aaron Rupar says, is out of any fs to give. And here he talks about the programs that he's pushed forward in Minnesota, which help Minnesota families, that help Minnesota children.
And he says, "You know what? Give me credit for this cuz I pushed this. Every Republican was against this." Here, play this clip. The buck stops with me on this. And that is absolutely true. But I want to be very clear on this, too. If the buck stops with me on when there's problems, the buck stops with me on successes. Not a single Republican supported this. So every motan from here on forward, whoever uses this program, there is no bit of thanks that would go to the Republican legislators who did all they could to stop this. So I will take full responsibility. We have safeguards in place. We'll do that. But I think the report on this is, as you hear in the stories here, I'll take some credit for that because we put this program in place. We got it done. We implemented it. We did the work for 2 and 1/2 years. And uh lots of things work. Your highways get plowed. I'll take credit for that, too. The
Republicans voted against my budget bill that did educ uh the work with that. Our schools have the money to pay their teachers. I'll take credit for that, too. The issue here is is focusing on this. They have every right to do so. The positive story of this is is parents with their children. The Republicans goal is to have none of those programs. And I can guarantee you one way to ensure there's no fraud. Just don't do the program. Just don't do the program. And then you will look like states who rank at the bottom in every single initiative. So, we have a responsibility to continue to do better on this, but I'm going to take credit when we're ranked at the top on almost every single category because of these programs. So, we all know what's at stake here. This team knows that and we said it. They took that responsibility to do it. And uh I will encourage them and encourage our folks that are out there on program
integrity. Do everything possible. Then you have the governor of California, Governor Nuome. Here's what he had to say. Play this clip.
Caroline Le saying they might investigate fraud potentially here in California as it relates to this. I think let's let's and and bring it on a fraud in terms of child care I if if he hey you think for a second anyone counts fraud. Um so if he has some unique insight and information uh I look forward to partnering with him. Can't stand fraud. Can't stand waste and abuse. can't stand the kind of thing he has been doing in terms of our National Guard and the hundreds of millions of dollars of taxpayers uh subsidies and funds that have been wasted uh on all of this illegal activity by this president. So, I'm with you in terms of that. I'm with Caroline Le. Here's what New York Governor Kathy Hokll had to say. Play this clip. Our kids should not be political pawns in a fight that Donald Trump seems to have with blue state governors. And I have to ask the question, why is there such a frontal assault on children in this
nation from this administration? Just back in November, they stopped feeding our kids. Now they won't vaccinate our kids. They're not allowing their parents to have their health care premiums covered without going up dramatically to make sure that our kids are raised safely and healthy. And now they don't give a damn about child care for kids. So, this is a fight we're going to have to take on.
Now, here's another clip right here of Governor Nuomo. uh was hurricane force [ __ ] coming from Trump weaponized lies misdisinformation amplified by Elon Musk, Alex Jonesification of our uh you know entire media ecosystem and you 10 lines down on page 97 of your book uh bear witness to this you were going to go on a live spot with Stephanie Rule and it was interrupted Stephanie said hold on new information Mark Zuckerberg is saying we're no longer going to do act checkings on Facebook this poly crisis all stacked all happening at once but for me once again it talked about my mind being stretched we could not continue the posture we had in that moment with Elon and the lies that he was promoting that he himself were caught he was caught having to confront because he challenged local firefighters about the water and the lies and [ __ ] he was promoting and they looked at him and they said, "Sir,
you're absolutely wrong." And he cut off the feed. You put it on social media right away.
He put it right on way. And you know what? We've never changed our social media since.
One more clip here I want to share with you of Governor Nuomo. Let me ask you about that because you went to Washington last month. You were seeking, as you say, billions of dollars in additional disaster aid for wildfire victims. You said that they, the administration, the Trump administration refused to meet with you and that this is a quote by you. President Trump's promise to take care of survivors was clearly a lie. What is he lying about?
Well, it's in your book. I mean, you saw at the tarmac when I met uh with the president, open hand, not a closed fist. Continued to have conversations with him, including the night uh that he visited uh LA that evening, left a voice message. We talked the next morning. I went and visited him. I think I was the first Democratic governor to go to the Oval Office. spent over 90 minutes uh with the president directly and consistently uh reaching out uh in goodwill and good faith to hold him to his commitment that he publicly made to have the backs of people including members of his own administration uh friends of his that were impacted by these fires. Not a word and you know I was back there a few weeks ago and what was rather extraordinary and then again with Trump administration nothing is any longer but it should be outrageous. It should outrage people listening of all political stripes, even big Trump
supporters, refused to even have member uh even an intern from FEMA uh meet with me or any member of my administration on the disaster requests. They were simply unavailable at any time for even a moment uh to just engage. He's dismantling uh FEMA. He's dismantling uh uh any notion of objectivity about climate science, research, grants, and supports for cities, counties, states. Um, it's an extraordinary moment and uh we're living it in real time and we're battling back against it.
And here was the reporting about Trump cutting off the $10 billion in funding to five blue states for child care and social services. The Trump regime cutting off more than $10 billion in social services and child care funding meant for a handful of Democrat-led states because Donald Trump says, "Oh, we have to revoke it for fraud." Donald Trump, you are the fraud. As Governor Nuome said, the Department of Health and Human Services will freeze taxpayer funding from the Child Care Development Fund, from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program, and the Social Services Block Grant Program. At least 7.35 billion in TNF TANF money will be prevented from going to California, Colorado, Illinois, and Minnesota, and New York. The CCDF funding block of nearly $2.4 billion affects all of those states and another $869 million from the social services block grand coffers is being kept from all five states. I want

So, I woke up to the news that Donald Trump has decided that they are going to cut $10 billion in funding to five Democratic states. Notably, no red states, right? Just Democratic states. And this is coming from the Trump administration. The health department is going to freeze $10 billion in funding for child care subsidies, social services, and cash support for low-income families in the following five states: Minnesota, New York, California, Illinois, and Colorado. Now, this is how it's going to be broken down. Each of those five states will be cut off from around $7 billion in funding from the temporary assistance for needy families program that gives cash assistance to households with children. Those five states also will lose access to nearly $2.4 billion for the child care development fund which supports child care for working parents. And as well, these five states will be cut off from about $870 million
for social services grants that mostly benefit children at risk. Now, I'm going to stop here because one, the hypocrisy is [ __ ] rich. Um, that, you know, the Trump administration is claiming that this is because of allegations of fraud with no citations for evidence. By the way, the Trump administration is saying that the basis for the cutting off of this funding is due to fraud. And look, you don't have to be a prosecutor or a lawyer for that matter to be able to demand evidence before something happens. It's just called due process.
It's just called the American way. Um, it is outrageous to me though that the common denominator from all of these funding recipients is what? It's the children. So, let me tell you, don't ever let a Republican tell you that they give a [ __ ] about your kids or they give a [ __ ] about children in general. Because children from SNAP benefits to the tax subsidies being terminated and expiring for affordable care, I mean, you name it, Medicaid. I mean, children are the most vulnerable in terms of being the most negatively impacted from the Trump administration's efforts to punish democratic states, cities, and jurisdictions. Um, this piece from the New York Times goes on to note that these programs um that are going to be impacted in those five Democratic states, those programs serve quote hundreds of thousands of lowincome households.
Hundreds of thousands. Happy [ __ ] new year, right? And before y'all come at me with your [ __ ] about, oh well, the Somali in Minnesota and fraud. Look people, I was a prosecutor for a good portion of my career when I served in public service as a lawyer. And there was no one, right, who could ever accuse me of not prosecuting cases where the evidence merited it, right? And in this instance, if you show me proof or evidence that fraud is being perpetrated, what you do is you actually prosecute the perpetrator or plural perpetrators.
But you don't cut off funding to an entire state simply because there's an allegation of fraud. That's like saying that because the deer fur cult leader for MAGA and the Republicans is Donald Trump that all Republicans must be xenophobic racists. that like to sexually assault young children. You want to go there, right? You want to paint that brush. Big old [ __ ] brush for you. Can you tell I'm mad about this? So, this pause in funding, this freeze in funding is building on last week's pause in 800 185 million, excuse me, in annual aid to Minnesota daycare centers. Now, I'm not going to get into the merits or the lack thereof of those claims concerning those Minnesota daycare centers. That's another episode for another day. But what I want to focus on right now is this.
You know, the administration tried to pull this before and appropriately so organizations and coalition partners for groups like mine like Democracy Defenders Fund, right? Like we went to court and we won, right? And there were permanent injunctions, preliminary injunctions. There were orders that were entered that told the Trump administration, "This is illegal and you can't do that." All of this cost you money. You think Donald Trump is paying the legal fees that are attendant with having to send Department of Justice lawyers and lawyers for the Trump administration agencies. You think that Donald Trump is reimbursing the federal government for all of this [ __ ] No.
So you, me, all of us as American taxpayers, we're paying for this, which is bologoney, right? So Trump said on Sunday that he was going to cut welfare money, welfare money, right? He doesn't tell the people that the money that's being paused, cut um or just eliminated is going to hurt children, right? But he says he's going to cut welfare money for Minnesota, California, Illinois. And yet today, again, we wake up to the news that it's actually five states. It's Minnesota, New York, California, Illinois, and Colorado. I mean, are you surprised? New York, California, Illinois, Colorado, and Minnesota. I mean, these are states that fight back against the illegal and unconstitutional conduct of this administration. But this video is not just limited to a discussion of that because I want you to be aware that instead of spending money to support health care for Americans and to make sure that our most vulnerable
like our children and our seniors are being taken care of, what are we doing? Oh, well, according to Donald Trump, we as US taxpayers are now going to be reimbursing big oil for the work that they're going to do to rebuild the infrastructure in Venezuela after Trump basically invaded Venezuela and captured Nicholas Maduro and his wife over the weekend. Donald Trump saying that quote a tremendous amount of money will have to be spent and the oil companies will spend it and then they'll get reimbursed by us or through revenue because US taxpayers are going to reimburse energy companies for repairing Venezuelan infrastructure for extracting and shipping oil.
Later this week here in Miami, Florida, the US Energy Secretary Chris Wright is going to meet with representatives of Chevron, Kenoko Phillips, and Exxon Mobile at the Goldman Sachs Energy, Clean Tech, and Utilities Conference. Okay? Why? Because representatives of the Trump administration want to meet with oil executives to figure out how are they going to divvy up that cash pie? Because again, the billionaires are going to get richer and the rest of us are not. Right now, Venezuela produces on average 1.1 million barrels of oil a day. That is down from the 3.5 million barrels it used to produce before oil industry was nationalized in Venezuela.
Just hours after Maduro was captured at that press conference on Saturday from Mara Lago, convicted felon Donald Trump said that he expected the biggest US oil companies that includes Chevron, Exon Mobile, etc. to spend billions of dollars to increase Venezuela's oil production. And I actually covered this in a Substack that I just did where I wrote about how oil is really the main reason why we have deposed Nicholas Maduro and why we are quote controlling and running Venezuela right now. And Chevron is the only American company that remained after the declaration of the nationalization of the oil industry in Venezuela. Exon Mobile, Konoko Phillips, they got out. They're actually owed money still, a lot of money by Venezuela. And I don't begrudge them getting their money, but there is no stolen oil. There is no expectation that Venezuela owes oil to the United States.
Now again, instead of spending money on our most vulnerable and helping Americans generally, the Trump administration wants to punt the expense of oil production from the big oil companies that are making billions of dollars anyway off of us. and they want to make sure that US taxpayers are going to foot the bill to make sure that US oil companies make money that we then have to then add to that when we buy it. I I I mean, do you guys see how there is a disparity in the equities on this? But wait, there's more. You get the Ginsu knives. One second. Before we did the invasion in Venezuela over the weekend, what were we doing? Well, for months we've been bombing vessels in the Caribbean Sea, allegedly being operated by drug traffickers, and again, under the excuse of linking everything to Venezuela, right? I mean, this is a long-term play by Trump. Even from the first term of Trump, he's had his sights set on
Venezuela. Now, I went to figure out because I have no data right now about how much that whole weekend excursion cost Trump um or more accurately, excuse me, American taxpayers. We don't know that yet, but you and I both know that [ __ ] costs a lot of money, right? And again, money that's not being spent on us as Americans. Um, and please do don't point to um a one-time bailout of our American farmers as an example of help because that's not accurate at all. So, this article from Defense 1 is from December 7th, 2025. So, that is almost a month ago. Okay. But as of December 7th, 2025, I wanted to run through the numbers of how much it's been costing the United States, US, to be able to go bomb vessels that without evidence or proof, allegedly have traffickers, even though Donald Trump pardoned Juan Orlando Hernandez, the former Honduran president who was indicted, tried, convicted, and sentenced to 45 years in
federal prison, but he got a full and complete pardon drug trafficker that he is. So the task force of warships that were deployed for what has been called operation the hell they oh southern spear okay that cost that that that task force of warships cost 19.8 bill 19.8 8 billion to buy. Later joined by the aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford. That cost 12.9 billion to buy after 4.7 billion was spent for research and development. Okay. So the three escorts for that fleet now pushed the purchase price past 40 billion. So the purchase price for that task force of fleet for Operation Southern Spear more than $40 billion.
That fleet is backed by 83 land-based aircraft um collectively worth at least $1.8 billion. Now, look, yes, we buy we purchase we buy this equipment. We will use it. We should be using it in smarter ways, but parking it in the [ __ ] sea to make sure that we go after Venezuelan um and blow them up um vessels makes absolutely no sense. For every hour of the operation of that US carrier, it's $333,000 per hour. Each escort is a $9,200 per hour bill. That's per hour, people. So, I'm going to say this again. For every hour of the carrier's operation is roughly $333,000.
For the aircraft, the cost per flight hour is $40,000 per hour for the F-35s and the AC130JS, $29,900 for the P8s, and $3,500 for the Reaper drones. The US forces have fired Hellfire missiles that cost $150,000 to $220,000 a piece, AGM176 Griffins that cost $127,333 according to fiscal year 2019, and maybe they've used GBU 39B small diameter bombs that are roughly $40,000 each. And then there's the personnel cost pay and benefits for roughly one 15,000 US service members that have been deployed so far, including 5,000 that are ashore in Puerto Rico and 2200 Marines aboard ships. I get it. We are paying these people anyway, but but and I don't want them to not have their jobs, but I'm not quite sure how this is such a great and smart use of American taxpayer money.
The cost to acquire the US forces for Operation Southern Spear is seven times the annual revenue revenue of their enemy. The enemy being the drug runners and at least 5,000 times more than what the enemy paid for the speedboats they are fighting. Okay, consider the following as well. Each bomb and missile cost 80 to 300 times more than the crews pay. If US forces used four munitions for each strike, that's 320 to,200 times the cartels cost. I don't I'm happy cartels are losing money if they really are cartels. I'm not happy with the loss of life. Certainly not happy again with the fact that we're using American taxpayer money instead of helping Americans with basic necessities.
Instead of helping them, this is where we're spending our money. And this is what was ominous. And again, this is from a Defense One article from December 7th. Quote, "When leaders of the high-spending side begin to sense a ticking clock, they usually choose one of two options. Evacuate or escalate. For example, the US and Vietnam and Afghanistan declared victory and went home. But in 2003, when the perceived force flow commitment, then the unsustainable cost of keeping US forces on the borders of Iraq kind of went ding in the head of President George W. Bush. That helped pull the trigger on the invasion of Iraq.
I mean, people, you're going to cut funding to Democratic states to help children, needy families that need the money on allegations that are unproven, let alone shown to the American people to be the case of fraud. But you're going to spend all of this money per hour to have Operation Southern Spear. The disparity, the inequities are grotesque. It's the reason why we fight like we do to bring transparency. As 2026 has launched and the premiums have skyrocketed for people for their health care. As people are looking down the barrel of having to make sure that they have food on the table. As costs for heating your home will skyrocket when it comes to oil.
We're spending this money. I am waiting to see what the price tag is for what just happened this weekend in Venezuela to capture Nicholas Maduro and his wife. But in the meantime, spread this video far and wide. Let people know how exactly hypocritical and just insensitive and stupid Republicans are that are cowtowing and they continue to support this administration. Be mad. Be outraged.
