All right. Hello everyone. This is JT Saskcowski behind the camera reporting for Status Coup in partnership with the Midas Touch Network. You'll have to Yeah, you should see me leave it like this for a minute. Again, I'm going to try and put the live view on my back, but I am not hopeful.
Indiana. God. All right. Chicago kids from Chicago. Christ, [ __ ] My name Even Ty, can you hear me?
I am just fine. What a way to meet you. Correct. Anytime I move it seems Yep. I hate HDMI. I wish we were on SDI, but
Yep. So I've I've already done something like that, Ty. I've already done something like that. I have I have what I have is a a small length of SDI cable that's locked to the live view and I have taped the HDMI cable to that SDI cable. So, it is locked in place.
Uh-huh. Uh-huh. I I see. No, I was just saying. Yeah, I see what you're saying. There's a window here.
Okay. I mean, I don't have any tape on me at the moment. No. Hello everyone. Uhhuh. Mhm. Okay.
I do. Yeah. Appreciate that T. Thanks, Ty. I appreciate that. All right. Thanks for the help.
Yep. Bye. I'm not a citizen, but I am. I'm not a citizen, but I am. And the eyes and the eyes on the road. And the eyes of immigrants and the eyes to the people.
No power to the people. Nobody is illegal. All power to the people. Nobody is illeal. All power to the people. Nobody is illegal. to the people. All power to the people. Nobody is illegal.
Say it once and say it twice. We will not put up with ice. Say it loud. Say it clear.
We do not have any fear. We do not have any fear. Show the way people together. This ain't nobody
this deescalate. Pardon me. People have so many questions on either side of the aisle because this is the first time in a long time we took a working class all
now is the time to be inspired. Now is the time to be moved. And now is the time to expand the general. I came back here at the session a week. I answered the call of solidarity with our class. And so many people are asking, do I have enough to contribute to the struggle?
And I only have two questions. Are you a working class person? And are you willing to fight?
Yeah. This is our movement. This is our movement. They can't take it away from us.
It's a movement of the oppressed. It's a movement of the exploited. There are so many colors in this crowd and y'all look good.
It is our duty. IT IS OUR RIGHT. IT IS OUR DUTY. IT IS our right. Strike strike strike strike strike. Is our duty is our right. Is our duty right. Strike strike strike strike right.
Is our duty is right. Is our duty right strike strike strike strike strike. It is our duty is our right.
Is our duty is our right. Strike strike strike strike strike some boys. [ __ ] THAT'S RIGHT. [ __ ]
[ __ ] [ __ ] And I'll pass the mic along to my coc from the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Chicago. I want to teach y'all a new chance. When I say their name, you say, "We fight for you."
RENEE GOOD, WE FIGHT FOR YOU. ALEX PREY, WE FIGHT FOR YOU. GONZALEZ, WE fight for you.
LEO RAMOS, WE FIGHT for you. We fight FOR YOU. WE FIGHT FOR YOU. You fight for me.
We fight for you. We fight for you. WE FIGHT FOR YOU. RENE, we fight for you. ALEX PRETTY,
WE FIGHT FOR YOU. We fight for you. We fight for you. We fight for you. We fight for you.
We fight for you. You fight for me. We fight for you. I fight for you. I fight for you.
Good. We fight for you. Alex, we fight for you. Antonio Gonzalez, we fight for you.
Keith War Junior, we fight for you. You fight for me. We fight for you. We fight for you.
We fight for you. We fight for you. We fight for you. We fight for you. We fight for you.
That's right. That's right. That's right. So, there's a chant that goes jump if you're not ICE or police.
Maybe you heard about it. But in the 2006 general strike, who remembers Mayday 2006? Some of y'all must have still been being born,
right? A lot of people have been talking about how do we go how do we stop being on the defense and how do we go on the offense? The way we do that is by withdrawing our labor, withdrawing our time, by taking ACTION LIKE WE'VE NEVER TAKEN action before in this country.
I'm a student of Malcolm X. That's right. And Malcolm X said in 1965 that we're living in extreme times.
That's right. So, we got to take extreme measures. The last time that we saw this country shut down was in 2006 when they tried to push a racist anti-immigration bill in this country.
And what happened IN CHICAGO? 750,000 people, onethird of our city took to the STREETS TO SAY WE NOT TAKING THAT [ __ ] SO TODAY IS A DRESS REHEARSAL.
TODAY WE'RE JUST GETTING STARTED, RIGHT? BECAUSE WHEN THE ENEMY RETREATS, WE ADVANCE. SO, in 275 cities, in 46 states, over 1,000 organizations have endorsed this call to shut [ __ ] down.
Now, I don't know what those other four states are, but we going to fight. We going to get them too because if they want to spend $200 billion and that's how much they're spending
$200 billion when it cost $60 billion to end hunger. It cost $60 billion to end poverty. It cost $60 billion to end homelessness. Instead of spending $200 billion on the people, they're spending it to police us, to detain us, to harass us. Now, they may have the money, they may have the connections, but they don't got the people.
They don't work. And we KNOW THAT THESE ICE [ __ ] ARE OUT OF SHAPE. RIGHT? They they can't run. That's why they shoot.
THEY CAN'T FIGHT. THAT'S WHY THEY SHOOT. THEY WANT US TO GET BACK WHEN WE GOING TO STRIKE BACK.
They say get back. They say get back. They say get back. They say get back. They say give back.
They say give back. Give back. We take back. That's right. That's right. So, I want to say something very important. Chicago was founded by a Haitian immigrant. On February 3rd, this fascist white nationalist government is going to allow the temporary protective status of 350,000 Haitians to expire in this country.
You got it right. Now, one thing we know that the Haitians have taught us is how to rebel. A lot of people have been saying that ICE is like the Nazi Germany Gestapo. I hear you. But the reality is that ICE are slave catchers,
right? Nazi Germany learned FROM THE UNITED STATES, RIGHT? So when TPS expires on February 3rd, say February 3rd. February 3rd
on February 3rd when when the TPS expires, the tens of thousands of Haitians in our city, they need our help,
right? Because a lot of people forget that black people are also immigrants, too.
I am the son of two Jamaican immigrants. Any Jamaicans on the crowd? All right.
So on February 3rd, we got to unite the black community, the Latino community, the white community,
the native community because we know that unless you're an indigenous person or you are dragged chains, you're an immigrant. That's right.
So, the last thing I'll say before we bring up our next speaker is that Palestine has shown the way.
They were the first example of what it looks like to stand up brave to fight fascism and to stare death in the face. IN FACT, our Palestinian brothers and sisters have been begging us to go on a strike to shut [ __ ] down to stop a genocide.
And there's a thing called the imperial boomerang. The war abroad always comes home.
It always comes home. So, who best to teach us how to resist an occupation than the Palestinians?
So now, when we build power, power that can shut down this economy, power that can bring this country and its fascist government to its knees,
we're not going to just stop with abolishing ICE. We're going to end our [ __ ] genocide. So without further ado, I want to to give it up for Maran from the Palestinian Youth Movement. We are promised.
We are promised. From Mexico to Morning got water. It's really Chicago that was originated in Chicago in the last 2 years and I want you GUYS TO TURN ME UP WITH IT. ONE SOLUTION. One solution. One solution. One solution. Reolution. Reolution.
Reolution. One solution solution solution. And if we don't get in Chicago, what are WE GOING TO DO?
SHUT IT DOWN. SHUT IT DOWN. SHUT IT DOWN. SHUT IT DOWN. SHUT it down. Shut it down. Shut it down. Shut it down. Shut it down. Shut it down. down.
My name is Mam and I'm with the Palestinian Youth Movement. I'm joining you all today TO SHOW THAT WE WILL NOT LEAVE THE PEOPLE OF MINNESOTA ON their own to fight what appears to be A MILITARY OCCUPATION. AN OCCUPATION THAT'S KIDNAPPING THEM AND EXECUTING THEM ON THEIR STREETS. SHAME. The people of Minnesota are on strike BECAUSE ICE HAS MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CARRY ON WITH LIFE, TO GO TO SCHOOL, to visit the doctor, TO GET GROCERIES, OR EVEN WALK THEIR DOGS. They have seen they HAVE SEEN FIRSTHAND WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE GOVERNMENT TURNS ON ITS PEOPLE and start to view them as threats and inferior
shame. HERE IN CHICAGO, WE STAND FOR JUSTICE AND WE PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORS. WE SUPPORT THE PEOPLE IN MINNESOTA AND WE'RE ALWAYS going to stand up and fight back with them. FOR ME AS A PALESTINIAN, the images from Minnesota of people being shot as they are being arrested or driving away look very familiar. The shock you experience as you ask yourself, how can a human life be easily taken away so quickly, so heartlessly? That is something the Palestinians have felt countless times against Israeli occupation that executes Palestinians while they occupy and steal Palestinian homes.
IF NEWS EVER DOES MAKE IT OUT in the headlines in the US about these executions, then we'll always see a statement by the IO who murdered them about how these soldiers were protecting themselves. Does that sound familiar, CHICAGO? THAT'S HOW THEY GET AWAY WITH MURDER and taking away everything that is sacred and important, including human lives, food, hospitals, separating families and homes. These victims are painted as terrorists, UNWORTHY OF THEIR life and their rights, while their perpetrators are rewritten as victims and ACTING IN DEFENSE.
BOTH ICE and Israeli occupation FORCES ARE FUNDED BY THE BILLIONS OF DOLLARS from US government money that is then funneled into corporations that provide surveillance and weapons and technology through giving ICE and Israel the tools TO SURVEIL AND CONTROL AND KILL PEOPLE AND ENTIRE COMMUNITIES. That is what's allowing them to kidnap, DETAIN, AND KILL PEOPLE IN MINNESOTA AND THEN KIDNAP, DETAIN, AND BOMB HOMES of people in Palestine. Sir,
Palestinians have learned that these energy entities who have no regard for humanity or laws or morality can be stopped or weakened if the people don't unite and truly prioritize their freedom and safety by sticking together and rejecting this system. That is what generations of Palestinian organizing has taught us. And that is the lesson that we HAVE TO APPLY TODAY TO OUR COMMUNITIES HERE. NONE OF US ARE FREE UNTIL ALL OF US ARE FREE.
None of us are free until Palestine is free. Free Palestine Palestine. Free side free.
