Joe Thompson, a career prosecutor actually who had been leading the fraud prosecution concerning uh child welfare programs in Minnesota that led Donald Trump to send in the ICE agents that led to the death of uh Renee Good. That Joe Thompson, he's had it. He is following a trail of others, the Department of Justice, with honor and courage and conviction, who have swore an oath to uphold not only the Constitution, but their their uh duties as a prosecutor under the Department of Justice Manuel. And Joe Thompson has now left. Harry Jacobs has left. Melinda

Williams has has left from the US attorney's office in Minnesota. The leaders of that office in response to the Trump administration continuing to cover up the murder of Renee Good at the hands of an ICE agent and ICE and Trump administration policies. I'm Michael Popac, you're on Might as Touch and on Legal AF. The addition of Joe Thompson, of Harry Jacobs, of Melinda Williams, to the growing list of Department of Justice personnel who are leaving signals to me that the implosion of the Department of Justice is in full is in full stride.

You've got the disappearing act of Pam Bondi, Donald Trump having effectively declared to those around him that he's lost complete confidence and Pam Bondi is the attorney general. You've got Todd Blanch who's who's working behind the scenes to try to become the attorney general, Donald Trump's trusted criminal defense lawyer. At the same time, you've got Harmeat Dylan, the Republican political hack who's running the civil rights division of the Department of Justice into the ground, chloroforming it, taking it in the back, and and getting rid of it rather than have the civil rights division do an investigation into whether uh Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent, committed civil rights violations in murdering Renee Good. Army Dillan's let it be known that her office is going dark is standing down that no one in that office will be permitted to pursue that prosecution that investigation even though many

volunteered to do it and now we've got resignations coming out of the civil rights division whatever is left of the civil rights division. Let's talk about Joe Thompson for a minute. Joe Thompson a a wellrespected prosecutor for years decades in Minnesota. He is out there at the forefront of the Trump administration because he saw fraud Trump admin administration's fraud investigation of Minnesota of Minnesota's welfare program of the Somali community in Minnesota that Joe Thompson. But he drew the line here on going after the widow of the murdered Renee Good. Just to show you who who um Joe Thompson's all about, here's a clip of him talking about the fraud cases. Play the clip. This is an instance of what's essentially fraud tourism.

Mr. Jefferson and Brown were residents of Philadelphia who had no connection to Minnesota except for they heard that Minnesota and its housing stabilization services program was easy money. And so they traveled to Minnesota, enrolled their companies, Chosen Runner LLC and Wretzel Real Estate LLC in the housing stabilization services Medicaid program here in Minnesota. They then returned to Philadelphia and began submitting fraudulent claims um to Minnesota Medicaid here through which they obtained more than $3.5 million in fraudulent Medicaid payments.

Now, Becca Good, who who at at the moment of the murder and thereafter, you know, took selflessly some responsibility for the death of her wife, you know, because she brought her down to the protest. But, you know, that that's something that um should not have been a death penalty. Having your wife and you participate in First Amendment speech by blowing whistles and calling attention to ICE should not have led with the death of a US citizen at the hands of an ICE agent shot in the face three times. But here here's a clip of Becca Good in the moments before the murder of her wife. Let's play the clip.

That's fine, dude. I'm not mad for it. Show your face. I'm not mad at it. It's okay. We don't change our plates every morning. Just so you know, it'll be the same plate when you come talk to us later. That's fine. US citizen. You want to come at us?

You want to come at us? I said go get yourself some lunch, big boy. Out of the car. Get out of the [ __ ] car.

Get out of the car. [ __ ] [ __ ] Now, the reason that the Trump administration is uh is using as their is using um the investigation of Becca Good, which has led to Joe Thompson's resignation uh as the basis for their coverup comes from what you're watching with this administration. You're watching J. D Vance talk about right uh sorry left-wing agitators questioning who paid for Becca Good and Renee Good to be out on the street. Who paid? Minnesota is now filled with good hardworking American citizens who are observing, which is their constitutional first amendment right to do. Observing what ICE is doing on the streets of Minnesota, blowing whistles, calling attention, whatever they need to do.

They're not being paid by anybody. This isn't LinkedIn Reed Hoffman paying for agitators or some other BSQon conspiracy theory. Here's JD Vance suggesting that, you know, th this couple with their old dog in the back of the car, this uh late model car, is somehow being paid to be First Amendment peaceful protesters. Play the clip. and who told protesters to show up and engage in violent activity against our law enforcement officers. You see, just with this most recent terrible incident in Minneapolis, you see friends of this woman's or other people who are eyewitnesses saying basically that she was there to engage in obstruction of a legitimate law enforcement operation. How did she get there? How did she learn about this?

There's an entire network and frankly some of the media are participating in it that is trying to incite violence against our law enforcement officers. It's ridiculous. It's preposterous. And part of our investigatory work is getting to the bottom of it. Who's funding it? Who's supporting it? Who's cheerleading it? And of course, if there's illegal activity related to that, we're going to get to the bottom of that and prosecute it where we can. So consistent with that, the Department of Justice, meaning Donald Trump to Todd Blanch probably cutting out Pam Bondi to Minnesota, has told Joe Thompson, "Hey, you know, while you're doing that other investigation, the big fraud one we like because, you know, it's sort of shaking the timbers of the government in Minnesota, uh, we're not done. Go after and investigate Becca Good, the widow.

This is what we need to do. Civil Rights Division is not going to do a criminal investigation of the constitutional rights being violated by Agent Ross when he shot Renee Good in the face. No, we're not going to do that. But we're going to investigate the widow in her grief. Here's what Becca Good said about her late wife. Let me read it to you here. Renee is pure love. She is pure joy. She was She is pure sunshine. On Wednesday, January 7th, we stopped to support our neighbors. We had whistles. They had guns. Renee leaves behind three extraordinary children. The youngest is just 6 years old and already lost his father. I'm now left to raise our son and to continue teaching him as Renee believed that there are people building a better world for him.

This is a um this is a hall of honor that Joe Thompson has seen enough and along with other professionals in his office walked out the door rather than to do the bidding of Donald Trump. Now, Keith Ellison, who is the state attorney general, who's been on with me in an interview just in the last 48 hours, he has started a new lawsuit against the Trump administration effectively in the name of Renee Good. And I have it here. This is a complaint for declaratory and injunctive relief filed yesterday in the District of Minnesota. And what they're asking for is a court order to stop ICE from the way they're interacting with First Amendment protesters, with US citizens, using uh border control methods when they're not near the border, setting up checkpoints and and uh and other ways to corral and to limit First Amendment expression. This here's what they're asking for.

They want an injunction to stop the defendants from unlawful unlawful actions including arresting or threatening to arrest any person who is not subject to a lawful immigration arrest unless there's probable cause to believe the individual has committed a crime. What? Why is ICE trying to apprehend a US citizen, threatening or using physical force, including brandishing weapons against any person who is not a subject to a lawful immigration arrest or is not re probable cause to believe committing a crime, dispersing individuals engaged in First Amendment protected activity, that's Becca and Renee good with physical force. pointing firearms at individuals who are not posing an immediate threat of death or serious bodily injury, using handson physical force such as pulling or shoving to the ground, using choke holds, seizing or arresting people. The list goes on on pages 77 and 78 of the complaint. They want to take the mask

down. These masked men who approached Renee Good and Becca who wouldn't show their face. Take off the masks, the complaint asks the judge to order. Wear visible identification and wear a body cam. Not holding your cell phone like Jonathan Ross in one hand and then a service revolver in the other to shoot Renee Good while he was all confused as the car was moving away from him, not towards him as he stood in the wrong position from a standard operating procedure standpoint for law enforcement. This case filed in federal court arguing that there has been a violation of the constitution by the continued surge in Minnesota of ICE agents by the Trump administration who have doubled down on it in the wake of the death of Renee Good. They should have gotten out of Minnesota. But no, they sent in more troops in violation of the 10th amendment of the constitution, which gives to the states the powers not

entrusted to the federal government. Um they're also suing under a violation of equal sovereignty, that there are um that they're using um warrantless arrests inappropriately, that they are conducting border patrol enforcement actions where there's no border in sight. What border with Canada? there's no border. Uh and that those policies and practices, setting up checkpoints, conducting stops, detentions and searches, entering private land, entering residences is all without legal authority. We're going to continue to follow this case. I'm going to have Keith Ellison and his team on to brief our audience about this particular result. Let me show you a clip from the Keith Ellison interview so you know good people are on this case and state officials are going to fight to the bitter end in the name of Renee Good. Here's a clip from Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minnesota. We've come together and we're

here to announce a lawsuit we're filing against the United States Department of Homeland Security uh to end the unlawful unprecedented surge of the federal law enforcement agents into Minnesota because this has to stop. It just has to stop. We allege that the obvious targeting of Minnesota, for our diversity, for our democracy and our differences of opinion with the federal government is a violation of the constitution and of federal law. We allege that the surge reckless impact on our schools, on our local law enforcement is a violation of the 10th amendment and the sovereign laws and powers that the constitution grants to states. We allege that DHS's use of excessive and lethal force, their warrantless racist arrests, their targeting of our courts, our churches, houses of worship and schools, our violation of the administrative procedures act on arbitrary and capriccious federal actions. and we ask that the courts will

end the surge of thousands of DHS agents into Minnesota.
