Protesting at the Lombardi Regional Council, Italy's leftist Democratic Party has a message.

We don't want Donald Trump's thuggish squads here. People who kill civilian citizens.

Protests against this administration continue to spread from Minneapolis to Jacksonville to Italy. Yeah. Donald Trump's immigration enforcement is that bad that the it's now being labeled as a militia that kills by Italian lawmakers.

Looks very untrained. It looks unprofessional. It looks very chaotic. More hate. No more fear.

IMMIGRANTS ARE WELCOME HERE. IMMIGRANTS ARE WELCOME HERE. First in Jacksonville, Florida, demonstrators gathered downtown calling on local law enforcement to terminate all agreements with US Immigration and Customs Enforcement. These agreements allow local officers to cooperate with ICE on immigration enforcement, something that officers in Minneapolis have been complaining about considering that ICE continue to overstay their welcome. Countless law enforcement officers have joined with protesters demanding a complete overhaul of Trump's immigration strategy after ICE killed two US citizens. is they're being stopped in traffic stops or on the street with no cause and being forced to demand paperwork to determine if they are here legally. I wish I could tell you that this was an isolated incident.

In fact, many of the chiefs standing behind me have similar incidents with their offduty officers. This isn't just important because it happened to offduty police officers. But what it did do is we know that our officers know what the constitution is. They know what right and wrong is. and they know when people are being targeted and that's what they were. If it is happening to our officers, it pains me to think of how many of our community members are falling victim to this every day. It has to stop.

And the backlash isn't staying domestic either. In Italy, outrage is growing over US ICE agents being slated to assist with security operations at the upcoming Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. Italian leaders, including the mayor of Milan, have publicly said that ICE is quote not welcome and described the agency as a militia that kills. Former Italian Prime Minister Jeppi Conte urged the government to block ISIS involvement altogether, saying that the AY's reputation in the US tied to recent shootings of civilians makes it unsuitable for an event hosted under Italy's democratic security framework.

Protesting at the Lombardi Regional Council, Italy's leftist Democratic Party has a message.

We don't want Donald Trump's thuggish squads here. people who kill civilian citizens. We don't need them. I don't understand what they're even going to do here.

The anger comes after officials said a branch of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency or ICE would help with security at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics taking place from the 6th to the 22nd of February. The agency has been criticized for its tactics in a brutal immigration crackdown in the US with officers involved in the fatal shootings of two civilians this month. Milan's mayor also expressed his outrage.

I don't think that they're compatible with our ways of handling such a delicate issue as security. In a statement, ICE seemed to confirm reports it would be protecting US Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who are expected to attend the game's opening ceremony. It said its Homeland Security Investigations Unit would be supporting the US Department of State's diplomatic security service as well as helping Italy to vet and mitigate risks from transnational criminal organizations. It added that all security operations would remain under Italian authority. For Italy's foreign minister, it's a standard example of international cooperation.

If they come, it will be to cooperate, not to intervene on the streets, but to work together with the police like police from other countries. When there is a major event, international police cooperation is necessary. US embassy sources in Rome have said various federal agencies have supported diplomatic security at previous Olympics, including Homeland Security investigations.

And despite reassurances from ICE officials that they will not enforce immigration law in Italy, many politicians and advocates are still demanding a full forced rejection. Let's understand what's happening here. This isn't just a fringe group in Italy protesting. These are lawmakers who are advocating for a ban of US immigration enforcement. I mean, that's a sign that your immigration strategy is so extreme that other nations are willing to risk diplomatic scrutiny to avoid any association with it. And adding to the already growing international tension after an ICE agent attempted to enter Ecuador's consulate in Minneapolis with consulate officials preventing him from entering and protecting Ecuadorian citizens. Ecuador's government then filed a formal protest with the US embassy over the matter.

This is relax I cannot enter. If you touch me I I will grab you. If you touch me I will grab you.

Okay. Okay. You can go. Okay. But don't touch me. Okay. You cannot enter. This is the foreign. When you take all this into account, it's no surprise there's growing concern on whether the US is fit to host the World Cup in just a few months. And that's coming from me, by the way, someone who hasn't seen their country of Scotland compete in a World Cup since 1998. But regardless, you can't deny that this country is in no shape to host visitors without fear of something happening or escalation.

And the president, have you seen the body cam video? I was unaware you had. You know what? It's going to exonerate all the agents. You're completely right. Steven Miller saying an assassin tried to murder federal agents and this is your response to JD Vance retweeting it says something about what where this administration is and how they're considering it before and after the murder of Alex Prey. And this will go down in history as a turning point for this. Greg Bavino wouldn't be leaving tomorrow if an innocent person wasn't killed. And the double standards that are being employed for how you have to behave versus how these agents have to behave is mindboggling to me. Kyle Writtenhouse was a conservative hero, right, for walking into a protest, actually brandishing a weapon. But this guy who had a legal permit to carry and already had had his gun removed to some people, I guess, is some sort of

instigator when he was actually going to help a woman who had been pushed down and teargassed by ICE. We have the right to protest. that should be upheld and respected and it is not being they were not

did you call for we've all seen the 3minut video and I've heard some people say oh it's it's hard to watch what was hard is is that there were five to seven ICE agents there in my world my colleagues we've arrested some dangerous people on the back roads of Cumberland County with three or less deputies. Yet, this was a show of force, a show of whatever they were trying to do with seven people.

There is growing unease about what an expanded ICE presence could mean during a global sporting event built on open travel and mass tourism.

They are ICE and CBP uh are breaking their own protocols. you read them earlier, their own protocols and uh not only roughing people up but but literally shooting at people and killing them uh when in some cases they're US citizens and they're doing nothing wrong. So

So this is why I have said that the president is not following the law. Why Christy Gnome needs to resign or be impeached uh and why Trisha Mclofflin should not have the job that she has. She's a pathological liar. She's their spokesperson. Governor, you just I mean the last thing that host cities need is images of immigration agents conducting aggressive operations near stadiums, airports or fan zones, especially when international visitors are already watching protests erupt and the chaos ensue across the country to the point that allies are raising concerns instead of I don't know showcasing the US as a welcoming and stable country. Le Washington

continue. It's clear that Trump's ICE strategy is turning the World Cup conversation into yet another flash point about safety, civil liberties, and whether America can host the world without intimidating.
