What this episode is about

The recent release of Epstein files by the Department of Justice reveals the extensive global connections and criminal activities of Jeffrey Epstein, prompting a deeper examination of the relationships he maintained with influential figures, including politicians and royalty. As these revelations come to light, numerous prominent individuals, including Trump, face scrutiny for their past denials and attempts to distance themselves from Epstein, highlighting the pervasive impact of the scandal within elite circles.

Key takeaways

  • Epstein's global web of connections reveals an elite undercurrent more intertwined than a Netflix thriller.
  • Despite claims of isolated crimes, emails expose a sprawling network of co-conspirators — accountability is clearly optional.
  • Elon Musk's faux ignorance crumbles under direct emails, proving that reality often outstrips fiction in scandal.
  • Victims' identities redacted, but conspirators' details? Not so much. Who's really being protected here?
  • The irony of a thank-you email about a 'naughty girl' paints a chilling portrait of complicity and cover-up.

All right, Brian, we have now had a few days to consume uh the horrors that are contained within the Epstein files that were released by the Department of Justice last week, or at least the files that Attorney General Pam Bondi released and did not redact or light on fire to protect her boss. Um, in a second, we're going to play for you guys some of Trump's truly disgusting attempts to spin away this controversy, but let's just do some takeaways first based on, you know, all that we've unfortunately had to read. Um, I personally, Brian, have just been stunned by like the global nature of Epstein's crimes and relationships. Like I thought this guy is a a rich a pedophile pig who lives in New York and uses his money and connections to avoid accountability or at least stuck accountability for way too long. But the reality was far more shocking to me. I mean, this guy had relationships with multiple royal

families. So, he's in the UK and in Norway. He was getting forwarded unbelievably sensitive information from a top adviser to Tony Blair. like literally got tipped off on the UK or the Euro zone's response to their debt crisis, which is like exactly the kind of market moving information that he could trade off of and make money. That the guy who sent him that is probably going to be prosecuted by the way. Um he had contacts in the Gulf. There's audio files of Epstein talking uh with Israeli former Israeli Prime Minister Ahoud Barack about his postgovernment life. Um and then it was just like, this shouldn't surprise anyone, but the amount of lies that are being exposed by these emails are just it's remarkable.

like Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik said he cut ties with Epstein in 2005. Turns out he went to the island in 2012. Uh Elon Musk was like, "Never met the guy. Don't even know him." Now we see an email from Elon being like, "When is the wildest party on your island and like can I get there?" Uh Reed Hoffman from LinkedIn seems hellbent on tweeting as much information about himself and his connections to Epste as possible. Um there are even darker emails. There's like threats from Epstein to women. He sends the physical address of a Russian woman that he said was talking about a sexual relationship she was having with one of Epstein's friends to a guy who was connected with uh Russian intelligence like her like where she was staying at the time. So I mean just shockingly creepy stuff. Um anything jump out at you both in terms of like specific stories or thematically that you think is important?

Yeah, I I I also want to add Kevin Worsh who is Trump's pick for the Fed chair. He's his name is in the Epstein files as well. So even the people who Trump continues to staff his administration with those people also are in in the Epstein files. It's this whole orbit that just you know like when you hear about these um about like the QAnon folks talk about how there's this just cabal this whole echelon of people um who who are involved in all of this stuff. We're actually seeing that at play right now. And it's everybody in Trump's orbit. Like you said, Steve Bannon, Elon Musk, Trump himself, Kevin Worsh, Howard Lutnik. I mean, these people when you when you wonder why nothing happens, it's because all of the people who need protecting are the people who have access to uh to to all of this stuff in the first place. But to answer your question, there was there was actually one email in particular

that was that was probably the most like gut-wrenching to have seen. And it was from redacted to Jeffrey Epstein. Thanks for last night. Your littlest girl was a little naughty. And I'm paraphrasing there. The the irony of an email like that. First of all,

who sent that email that you need to redact the name? like it's if if you're only redacting victim's information. Was it a victim that was thanking Epstein for a great time with his littlest girl? And and second of all, we had just heard from Todd Blanch, I think on January 30th, so just a few days ago, the deputy attorney general, that again, nobody else was involved. No co-conspirators. Apparently, Jeffrey Epste was just trafficking girls nowhere to no one. Thousand girls that just got trafficked nowhere. But we have emails like this that directly uh um contradict his claim. And so all that does is make us double down on this idea that in fact the administration does have something to hide because when you see an email like that, that would be a pretty easy a pretty easy gimme in terms of figuring out, you know, who one of Epstein's co-conspirators was. And yet that's the kind of stuff that they redacted. By the

way, there were plenty of victims information that did show up in these files. So they had all the time in the world to redact this stuff that would help the co-conspirators, but apparently not enough resources to actually protect the survivors.

Yeah. They the unfortunately they released the names of victims. They released uh unredacted images of people naked. I mean just like look, this was a very rushed time frame because it was mandated by Congress. Now they missed the deadline in that statute, but still I think you know redacting three plus million documents is really challenging. But I I I do worry that you're right that the focus was on covering up. Yeah.

Especially when your priority is protecting the accompllices and not the and not the victims. I mean, that's that's an entirely different story alto together.

Yep. Uh yeah, I know. I read these thinking like, god, the Konan people were right, but then they were like, let's vote for Epstein's like closest confidant.

And and that's the thing like there is some part of me that feels like um like like I owe the whole movement an apology because I did scoff at this idea. No, no, no one owes them an apology. They were talking about drinking liberals drinking the blood of like insane.

I mean, look, like, you know, you they go off a cliff when you relationship with Donald Trump was well known. If these Epstein people had just decided they cared about it, they could have, but they don't actually care about the victims. They wanted to make this about taking out liberals. Um, the New York Times says Trump has mentioned in the documents at least 38,000 times. Um, but I don't think he seems chasened by that fact. Uh earlier this week, Trump was asked by CNN's Caitlyn Collins about what he'd say to Epstein's victims who feel like they haven't gotten justice. Let's watch.

Yeah. What What did you say? Go ahead. What would you What would you say to the survivors who feel you are the worst reporter? No wonder CNN has no ratings because of people like you. You know, she's a young woman. I don't think I've ever seen you smile. I've known you for 10 years. I don't think I've ever seen a smile in your face.

You know why? You know why you're not smiling? Because you know you're not telling the truth. So, Brian, I know like we have a pretty low bar for Donald Trump when it comes to, you know, humanity, but um that was one of the most like tonedeaf, sexist, patronizing, and you would think politically disastrous answers he could have possibly given in that moment. And yet, he just he just doesn't care.

It's like '9s like '9s movie villain style misogyny. Like, telling a telling a woman to smile more is like the I mean, I don't of victims of sexual abuse.

Correct. What the Correct. I mean like I you you don't think that you actually hear people say that other than just as a way to kind of um satarize like misogynist like he chose the thing he's become a parody of himself. He chose the thing that is so like off the rails that people use it again to saterize like what misogynist would say and what they sound like. And by the way uh you know if he wants a a woman to smile more maybe maybe don't protect pedophiles. Maybe don't engage in in Yeah. Maybe maybe don't engage in a year-long coverup of a a notorious pedophile ring and then maybe you'll get the smiles that you're so desperate for.

Yeah. Again, I I guess we shouldn't be surprised. You know, he called a woman journalist on Air Force One piggy one time and he's like a notorious scumbag misogynist and

But let me let me ask you this. Like when you hear stuff like that, when you hear the piggy thing, when you hear him tell Caitlyn Collins to smile more, I know that there's not going to be some great awakening from people who already knew who he was and voted for him anyway or support him and his party, but do you think that this has some impact on the margins? Do you think that there's, you know, a few people out there who see this and just say like, "Fuck him and the party that that emboldens him and backs him and this is just like, again, I know this is not going to be the last draw for everybody, but do you think it's the last straw for anybody?"

I think probably there's certainly people who who who come across that clip on their social media feeds and just think like, "Okay, he's a pig. I'm I'm done with him." As a general matter, I don't think like Trump as a rude person or really moves the needle because it's so priced in. I do think though that his handling of the Epstein Files is pushing away people that supported him in 2024. So, one example uh is this guy named Sean Ryan. He has a massive show uh podcast and YouTube show. He's got like five or six million followers. Mostly he focus on sort of military stuff like he was a special forces guy, but in August of 2024 he interviewed Trump. Um he endorsed him before the election and now Sean Ryan is just gone. He's like what the way Trump is covering up the Epstein files is like one of the most demoralizing things he's seen is sort of the tenored tone of his posts. Um and that guy is talking to a

lot of people about politics who maybe voted for the first time or uh you know who knows what their political leanings are. But I do think like there there's certainly ways that he can push away in particular new voters and not but probably not like the hardcore base. I I would also add that, you know, the Tim Dillons and Joe Rogan's and Andrew Schultz's of the world, flagrant podcast guys, all of those people seem to be moving away as well.

And and you know, I'm conflicted with this because on one hand, my like deep-seated mentality on all of this is you don't hold grudges. You just, you know, all that matters is winning, moving forward. This is not about my ego or how I feel about somebody. and we just need to build up a coalition and and you know welcome anybody into the tent who's going to help us win in the future. But there's like a small nagging part of me that's just like what the did you guys think was going to happen when you voted in somebody who Jeffrey Epstein called his best friend for a decade? What did you think was going to happen when you voted for the guy who was holding mass deportations now signs at his rallies?

Like the 80 million of us knew what the was going to happen, but these dumb on these podcast were like

bury this. This tone is how we destroy any effort to bring new people into the fold. We just sound obnoxious Like Joe Biden was dying before our very eyes. Like they didn't wasn't a great alternative. Like I just think like that emotion is useless to anyone. I think

I know. Well, I did caveat it with this idea that that it goes against You did a big caveat that a big wind up We drive you away. No, I see this all the time. Look, I I hear you. Like I get the frustration that people have. And you're right. Like there were mass deportation now signs um at events, but I just, you know, like whatever. We got to welcome these people.

Again, like I think the important thing, like look, politics is not about anybody's ego. I have to check myself all the time. Again, what is important is like moving forward, making sure that we build as big a coalition as we can to defeat Trump and defeat Republicans. How, you know, with whoever we can. A vote is a vote and that's all that matters. But vote is a vote. But man,

Liberal Tears is brought to you by PDS Debt. The system isn't broken, it's rigged. And if you're buried in debt, that's exactly how they want it. Big banks profit when you're desperate. That's pdsd.com/rank. pds.com/rank. All right. So, Trump has been flailing uh to try to find ways to spin all this. Um he has tried the kind of who cares approach. He's tried the let's move on approach. Um, now he seems to be going back, Brian, to like the tried andrue. Actually, the Democrats are just out to get me. Here's a clip that gives you sort of an example.

When Epste was alive like 10 years ago, nobody cared about it, but they were only doing it. But now it's it's really hitting back on them because Bill Clinton is such a big part of it. The Democrats are pushing it. And the problem is that it's turning out to be the Democrats that were with and conspired with Epstein. So, I think you're probably going to see a little pullback from them. But, but think of it, they were working together to try and help me lose the election. But this is the Oval Office, so I guess that didn't work out too well.

So, Brian, I think what Trump is alluding to there are some emails that are admittedly very bizarre between this journalist named uh Michael Wolf, who's very scummy, uh where Wolf is like giving Epstein PR advice and saying like, "Here's how you could spin your crimes. kind of make it about Trump, become anti-Trump. Um, I think there is an open question here about how Michael Wolf could ever work in journalism again. Um, but the idea that this was like a Democratic party setup is slightly undercut by the fact that Joe Biden didn't release these documents that came out during the Trump administration because of an act of Congress. Uh, but I don't know. You think there's any um any audience for this

No. I mean, give me a break. The latest Trunch of Epstein files released more uh uh invocations of Trump's name. Howard Lutnik, Kevin Warish. I mean, like you've you've got half of the cabinet in the Epstein files. Also, I think everybody on the left consistently from every end of the ideological spectrum has been like, if Bill Clinton or any Democrat did anything anything wrong, them. Like, we are not here to protect anybody who is implicated in or did anything wrong as it relates to Jeffrey Epstein, throw him out. We don't care. And and and it's so like it betrays his mindset because in his mind, anybody with a with an R next to their name is is part of the Republican cult and anybody with a D next to their name is part of what he thinks is going to be a Democratic cult. Like he views everything as just cult politics. And so in the same way that he expects undying slavish devotion, like complete 100%

loyalty to him, he he he he thinks that both sides are that way. And and we're not. like nobody cares to to stick their neck out for Bill Clinton.

Nine Democrats voted to find Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton in contempt. They are now actually the only ones set to testify in front of Congress are now Bill and Hillary Clinton because they were treated differently. Like Donald Trump, no such demand has been made of Donald Trump, but the Clintons are going to go to temp to testify because they were going to be held in contempt. And like like you, I have zero sympathy for anyone friends with Jeffrey Epstein. go testify, provide information. Uh if you did something wrong, that's your problem, not mine. Uh I do agree that they are being treated differently from everyone else in this case. But like I again like like you, I just don't give a

But I I should also add um by the way, like if if Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton have done something wrong, great. That that they've been called in and agreed to testify, great, as well. I think they should. But I'm also glad that we have a new president that's been established that former presidents can be hauled in front of Congress to answer about their involvement with Jeffrey Epste.

Good. Just going to leave that one there. Now, now that the Republicans have agreed that it's very important that former presidents come in to answer about their involvement with Epste and their wives, like I think that's I I am all for it.

I am all for it, too. It's a healthy healthy president. Um, finally, Brian, let's just close by briefly talking about um the the petulent little currently serving as vice president. I'm of course talking about JD Vance. Um, as viewers know, JD has been the lead attack dog when it comes to smearing American citizens who have been murdered by ICE or CBP officers during immigration raids. The Daily Mail asked Vance uh if he would apologize to Alex Prey, the 37year-old man murdered by CBP, while he was filming an ICE raid in Minneapolis. Here is what JD Vance said.

Did you plan to apologize to the family of Alex Freddy? For what? For, you know, labeling him an assassin with ill intent.

Well, again, I just described to you what I said about Alex Prey, which is that he's a guy who showed up with ill intent to an ICE protest.

But if it is determined if it's determined that his civil rights were violated by this FBI investigation, will you apologize to that?

So, if if this hypothetical leads to that hypothetical leads to another, will I do a thing? And again, like I said, we're gonna let the investig

uh so Brian um the words coming out of JD Vance's mouth are like truly despicable there. But in some ways, I I I like I find his whiny, petulent, like woe is me, I'm the real victim tone even more frustrating. But I I just I just so angry I could like jump out of this seat right now watching that.

He he is the most unlikable human that that that I've like ever seen. Also, this idea that it's so hypothetical he can hardly bring himself to answer it. He's like, "Oh, well, well, for all of these things to happen, you would need, you know, night to turn into day and you would need 2 plus two to equal 7." And it's like, we couldn't possibly encounter a sit like we're talking about something that's already basically proven. He called Alex Prey an assassin because he was trying to help Republicans spin the narrative before um before people recognized what happened.

He got caught being a total because obviously Alex Prey was just holding a cell phone. didn't even approach the ICE agents. ICE agents approached him. And so JD like looks like an idiot and he's got egg on his face, but he abides by this Trumpian mentality where any concession um that he's done something wrong or or or any admission of defeat um is is like a sign of weakness. And he couldn't possibly have that. This is like the Roy Cone school of of politics. And uh and so and so instead he he's just going to double, triple, quadruple down on this dumb idea that he's done nothing wrong in calling an American who was exercising his first amendment free speech rights by filming what was happening at the hands of ICE.

Uh calling that guy an assassin, and he obviously wasn't an assassin. And so he's just going to like talk himself into circles and make himself look like an even bigger dick.

He's a scum. He he's like, "Oh, how could I possibly prejudge the results of investigation?" Well, he already did. Um and everyone else around you did. like Homeland Security Secretary Christy Noom called Prey said she said Prey attacked officers. Uh that assertion was echoed by FBI director Cash Patel. That was a lie. Gnome said Prey was quote brandishing a gun. That was a lie. It was holstered. Uh Steven Miller called Prey an assassin who quote tried to murder federal agents. JD Vance reposted that claim an insane lie and just a smear of an individual. Uh Greg Bevino aka one-third Reich said it looked like Prey quote wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement. Uh, Vivino also claimed that Prey assaulted federal officers. Again, we've all seen the video of an officer coming up and just uh assaulting Prey and the woman next to him. So, that's a lie. Uh, JD Vance also called Renee Good. The other Minnesota

woman who was murdered by ICE and CBP. They called her a deranged leftist. Like this whole this guy's whole mo is smearing American citizens, killed by federal agents, and now he acts like I'll put out if you dare to ask him about it. you, JD.

Yeah. Yeah, that's perfectly put. you, JD is exactly what I want to end on when we're all hoping that that's what uh Republican primary voters also say to him because it doesn't seem like anyone likes him. I think you're right. He is he is profoundly unlikable. Everything about him.

Yeah. I mean, look, like I I I know people are going to scoff at this, but there is a charisma that Republican voters see in Trump that is just completely absent in JD. He is just like he's sneering unlikable, has no charisma, and and frankly is just a total dick.

Yep. He is the worst. Uh okay. Well, listen. Thank you guys for watching this episode of uh Pods Save America here on YouTube.
