not that it's just that I always wanted to be an only child come on let's walk back to my car oh Evelyn you've given me back my hope reminded me what's most important in life you know what I think that is what friends best friends look the two men walk away as naughty bird looks at her daddy so scared she has forgotten how to Blink igy watches from the window interior Cafe kitchen later zipsy is placing two plates of barbecue on a tray sipy I'm coming now hold on a knock at the screen door sipy harried goes over and opens the door osie is standing there what do you want we want some barbes c not today you don't in interior Cafe day Cy passes by detective Curtis Smoot who is polishing off a plate of barbecue I believe this is about the best barbecue I've ever ate yes sir the secrets in the Su igy is grinning from ear to ear exterior Whistle Stop Cemetery present day Evelyn is walking with ninny through
the town of whistl stop ninny stops at the church where there's a cemetery my God and that fry and pan did more than fried chicken that night nitty points at a tombstone which reads Ruth Jameson born 1903 died 1939 gone but not forgotten there's some wild flowers and a note resting in the shade below the stone Evelyn picks up the note revealing a small jar of honey she opens the note and reads it I'll Always Love You the be charmer Evelyn smiles to herself and then notices ninny walking out of the cemetery towards the town of Whistle Stop Evelyn impulsively cries out didn't she ninny instinctively turns her head and smiles at Evelyn who shakes her head for a second and then scurries after her from the distance we can see Evelyn approach ninnie Angie's still alive yes why why didn't you tell me you didn't ask well she's out there somewhere running free Charming bees and selling honey every once in a while I'll catch a
hint of her maybe will'll see her one day soon oh you've been holding out on me haven't you let's go to home and then you have to tell me everything arm inarm they walk through the dilapidated remains of the town of Whistle Stop Evelyn starts asking nin all the questions that now come to her mind about 's life the camera Rises up and follows them into the town as we hear the voices from the past echo through this repository of memories until we again hear the ghost trains whistle and the clatter of its wheels that approaches as it approaches the town the red leaves of Fall start blowing in the wind as the train noise crochet windows and again no train actually appears after Ruth died and the railroad stopped running and the ca Cafe shut down everybody just scattered to the winds it was never more than just a little knockabout place but now now that I look back on it when that Cafe closed
the heart of the town just stopped beating it is funny how a little place like this brought so many people together the camera cranes down past nin and Evelyn as they walk through the town the camera continues over the vines of the Kudzu until it comes to rest on a faded sign that says Fried Green Tomatoes served at the Whistle Stop Cafe the end w we made it through oh my goodness oh good yeah this still pretty close to the movie they made a few changes yeah I've watched um all the deleted scenes and there are some scenes in here that they did film but they deleted right yeah yeah that was like um Goonies there were scenes in that script were going gorillas yeah evidentally they did actually film those scenes but they just didn't put them in there for us to see I know there was a line about like and the scariest part was the giant octopus or something and right they had filmed it but they yeah we we we watched
it actually I think you went watch them on YouTube yeah it the octopus is in the out takes yeah there's you can see yeah so I don't know how much more talk I have because it's pretty late it is late well I'll tell you this was my favorite movie and uh when I had to do an internship in college I did my internship at Avet Kerner where because they had made this movie and there was a script for fried green tomatoes too in their file cabinets oh there was a sequel written there was a sequel written but I read the first few pages and I was like this is all wrong so I never read it like for example the first few pages I said big George was married to sipy and I was like this is all wrong they are mother and son yeah okay someone went crazy and yeah wrote a silly script I love but also like they could have done a a sequel because this story is half of the book they left out a lot of the characters they just hint at them in the
movie I haven't read the book yet oh it's really good and it's all done kind of like this where um what I've heard in the past is that Fanny flag has ADHD and so she writes only short chapters so the story is told in like one to two page chapters and it goes back and forth all over the place and she always puts herself self in the story as a character named dot or Dorothy or Doty so there's these little stories about Whistle Stop written by the local town newsperson named dot weams oh that's her and the story was based on her real Aunt oh really that's cool yeah yeah I a lot of that uh one movie we or one like short story we have to listen to Canada like all the time it's one where the woman like hits her husband with the ham and then feeds the we murder weapon to the police forget what it's called but it's very popular can like it's like reminding me of it this entire like my gosh I was trying so hard not to spoil
the ending for you Jackson seen it I know not not ready I was like oh my gosh oh my this yeah I it really makes me want to watch the movie so I think I know is good yeah it's worth it it's well done there were several drafts of the script and I guess the first few were written by Fanny flag and they weren't up to par to a script so John Abnet took it over and there was you know SE one version of the script where ninnie is older Iggy and in the final script she is not she is married to VI's brother but some enough of the hints are left in there that a lot of people still think that nin was igy yeah um when I first watched it before getting to the end that was the conclusion I thought I had gotten to and then realized oh no okay nope no but the all the hints were intentionally still left in there yeah worked with me yeah but in the book there are more obviously two different people and they did leave out some good
stuff for like the book made the the lesbian love a little more obvious even the script made it a little more obvious but the final version was less obvious and again I caught that in the movie they didn't make it obvious but yeah no but also uh Mary St Masterson and Mary Louise Parker um called on the set by their ni names Mary Lou and Mary stu um were uh decided to make it obvious in their acting right and then John Avet filmed the the in the movie there's a food fight scene between them that's only a little bit in the script and they decided that was the sex scene of the movie that makes sense I mean food is very sexual that very cool um added info that there's some people I wish I could tell um my one of my best friends from high school loved this movie but she passed in 2008 so she watched us I'm sure she saw us this was I saw this in the theaters when I was 11 when it first came out and I went with my mom and her best
friend and I was like I don't want to see that old lady movie and then it became my favorite movie that's like uh I went to Dr shivago when I was well when with the year it came out I don't know what year that was but I was a kid and I went by myself and I loved it so much it was a matina Saturday matina I went home and said to Mom we need to go and see this and she said when and I as soon as we're done supper we're going to go and so I watched that twice in one day but which means I really did nothing else that day so long movie but yeah I've watched this one over and over I could tell you had because you added in the correct the movie version of a line that wasn't in the script fool yeah yeah I know that fool I I could not put that in there yeah yes and it had been long enough since seeing it I I forgot bits which made it kind of fresh but I want to read the book now yeah if I can find it in bold
print um actually in the last couple years she came out with a sequel she did yeah I have been meaning to read it but I haven't yet but it's about um stump older oh I love playing stump it goes back I think it goes back into the the youth and the young idy and stuff but I haven't read yet you could check it out I love how Evelyn gets so empowered by the end yeah so confident that was my favorite character she was just so happy at the end and so confident knew bu up to how can you accidentally hit a car six times 16 three times I keep switching up that dude's voice you made a great housewife Jackson it really that was fun yeah it was it was fun I enjoyed it I like when I get to be really emotionally dramatic like when they're or when they're crying or when they're like when anybody's like that's like my favorite things to act out is like anger or emotions or like KY Express motion yeah I just looked it up the name of the
sequel is called the Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop The Wonder Boy this stop see I can get a copy of that well I know we're all tired it's late thanks for doing my favorite movie with me guys oh thank you for joining us we've missed you Aaron you too and nice to meet you Jackson yeah this was a good night even though we lost part of our cast a third of it these things happen yeah for long long script I'm not sure what's next um I know Mrs is D fire oh is that one next G so much fun that's why I'm all practicing puppet okay it's too late I can't do it right now well especially after just you know a whole movie of Southern Accents yeah Alabama so all right Mrs staire I'll get the uh get the um call event page up up I've actually shuffled my life we're going camping a week earlier than we were going to so that there's no rushing back home to do Mrs Stout and then back out to Camp again like I'm
doing tomorrow ah I'm not complaining what commitment well you know there's only certain ones I do it for really well I hope it didn't rain it was raining all week this last week when I was out camping so sorry I was in a tent at least my poor son was not he was doing this zombie apocalypse camp and they were staying out the woods under under trees wet I would not be a happy camper no I felt so sorry for those kids that they had I think they had fun at least time so their their mission was to like infiltrate main camp and acquire items like a stove and a pot so you can make hot water but being seen of course you know ah so sounds fun yeah it was a the concept was really good the implementation might need a bit more work I could do it you remember the old TV show soap I'm like that guy now I'm invisible no one can see me I don't care I ignore you you have to ignore me poor guy he really believed he was
invisible when he did that okay see how tired I am I'm dabling I am going to say good night all right well good night to all of you as well good night thank you so much for a wonderful read thank you byebye bye bye have fun storm in the castle yes
