and we are Live on YouTube excellent we are live okay and then we'll hit record here and Welcome to our reading of what are we reading today the second half of Gremlins all right so the second half of Gremlins um I'm going to start off with a quick little recap before we do our introductions and and um for those of you who didn't hear us read the first half um this is the second draft of Step Spielberg's or not Steven spieler script but of the Steven spieler film the second draft of the script so it's very very different from the final production so in the first half of the script um we of course were introduced to the magai these little cute Gremlins behind me um although this one may not have been as so cute in this this script as it is in the movie so there is no mention in the script of Gizmo um all the mwa appear to be relatively evil yeah so um and there is no Chinese boy that sells it to him he's in the you

know he's in the uh Rand happen to acquire the magai from a the old Chinese man's shop um brings it home to his son Billy who is working he's about what 24 working in a bank and Billy is sweet on Tracy um there's a security guard the bank named Gary who's also sweet on Tracy thinks Tracy's his girl but anyways um we meet a young boy named Peter who is introduced to the mwai and accidentally um breaks one of the three rules so the three rules of course are that they don't like sunlight they don't like any Bright Lights um do not feed them after midnight and above all do not get them wet um so of course he manages to spill some water on the magai and they reproduce um and because there are now several of them he decides to take one to the high school science teacher to investigate what it's what it is because it's a very odd-looking pet and over the course of the first half both the science teacher

and Peter die um and as well as um Billy's mom mom gets killed off as well in this script um so dog and the dog and the family pet yes the do family that so and we've left off our script with um the Maga having escaped to the YMCA and falling into a pool of water so they have now multiplied by the hundreds and they are starting to take over or they will be starting to take over the town and that is where we're going to pick up our script today and we'll see how the ending also differs from the movie because it is very different as well um but with that we'll go ahead and start with introductions um I'll go ahead and start my name is cat Wilson I'm one of your hosts this evening uh Gig Harbor Washington is where I'm from uh my pronouns are she her and when I'm not reading here you can find me reading over at two households in Fair Corona a Shakespeare reading group and a few other uh related reading groups around

deagle the radio the fourth astion and descriptions and another worker in the very back um we're going to skip over player five because abiskar is not here yet he will hopefully be joining us and um if he does he'll be reading the actions and descriptions in the latter half of this script and if not I will take those um so go on to player six which is Vicki hello I'm Vicky Dykes I'm from central Alberta up way up in Canada and we're having a shinuk right now which is warm weather it's lovely I am playing Billy tonight and my pronouns are she her and you can find me on social media uh YouTube I go by Vicky dkes and on um Instagram I am yoga grma 10 awesome and last but not least let's go to player seven who is Matthew matth I am uh Matthew I am playing several parts I forget who uh you have officer Brent Mr deagle they're both in the first part and then you get Tracy for the rest of the script

all right awesome all right um so with that I'm going to go ahead and share my screen and we'll get our script up here um let's see yeah I'm the crabby old lady uh Tracy is the the girlfriend not the Krabby old lady and Mr deagle is Mr deagle is the crabby old lady's husband um ah yes okay here is our is he crabby too um he's a little bit more decent guy but yeah he's a you know doesn't believe that there's any danger going on so uh so let's see this is where we left off page 63 with hundreds of creatures now coming out of the pool and Billy running out of the gymnasium and then we're going to cut straight here to the interior of the police station and Au take it away when you are ready it could be a little bit bigger oh I'm sorry go let's fix that and I start and I start with the descriptions correct description one yes okay that is that too large no that's great that part's good that's good interior police station

Sheriff Frank Lua sits behind his desk he's laughing Frank is 40 years old his hair is thick black he wears glasses his Deputy officer Brent a scrawny weasel-like man in his mid-30s stands besides the sheriff Brent is also laughing Billy sits in front of the two men a serious helpless look covers his face Frank leans towards Billy let me get this straight you're telling me that little monsters are multiplying by the hundreds down at the Y yes that's right these little things killed your mother and the fountain boy belly nods and they eat human flesh and they did this looks like a dog it wasn't a dog sir uh look these things are deadly when they're alone but if a couple hundred get loose Oh They'll be hungry real hungry they'll head straight for the town you'll have a major disaster on your hands Frank looks at Billy look Billy we all know that you have a very active imagination my brother told me about the

books you read down there at the bank now Dungeons and Dragons are fine if you're like 5 years old but Billy stands upset my mother is dead so is my friend I am not imagining things Billy glares at Frank the sheriff's size he looks at officer Brent Brent go with pelsa check out the why then his house Sheriff you should radio for more help War the people in town listen pzer now you're getting me pissed off you're lucky if I don't just throw you out on your ass for telling me stories frustrated Billy exits with officer Brent Frank shakes his head picks up with the phone and dials exterior YMCA the building appears calm peaceful no sign of the creatures the police car pulls into the parking lot interior police car officer Brent Parks the car Billy sits besides him Brent looks at the building that's fine I don't see anything they're inside Bren checks his pistol it's loaded look you can't go in there alone

it's suicide you've got to radio for more help I've got all the help I need right here Bren handcuffs Billy to the grading on the of the police car please please listen to me you can't go in there Brent gets out of the car and walks to the building a nervous frustrated Billy watches Brent walks to the building's front door locked he smiles he takes a step back draws his gun and shoots off the door lock he enters Billy waits in the car frightened Restless his sword lies on the back seat Billy grabs it he begins to pound at the Handcuff chain with his blade interior YMCA hallway pistol drawn Brent walks down the hallway to the gym doors he can hear the sounds inside gurgling breathing giggling he takes a drink from his hip flask he enters the gym inside Brent is shocked by what he sees hundreds of pairs of burning green eyes feel the gymnasium shining in the darkness like a starry night droves of M

are still coming out of the swimming pool Brent is frozen he tries to scream the creatures notice him several move towards him Brent fires his pistol useless there are too many creatures Billy he hears the gunshots he moves faster desperately hacking at the Handcuff chain with his sword cutu inside Brent drops his gun out of bullets he turns to run the creature a creature leaps it lands on his back another leaps at him he falls to the ground Brent screams as the J the creatures jump him they cover him like a blanket they Feast cut to Billy sweating nervous hacking with the hand chain Brent screams fade in the background Billy looks out the side window he sees the YMCA's front doors burst open droves of creatures pour into the night Billy panics he hacks to the chain the chains Harder Faster the creatures move toward the police car Billy finally breaks a handcuff chain he quickly moves to the

driver's seat and starts the car the police car tears out of the parking lot the creatures still pour out of the wi Billy drives he looks to the Rivier mirror the reflection of countless green eyes burn in the mirror the creatures are following him Billy drives faster I got to warn people I I I got to tell them he flips on the police siren and heads for Town cut to the suburbs peaceful calm Christmas lights twinkle the police car suddenly squeals down the main road lights flashing Sirens blaring Billy steers the patrol car onto the first driveway the car screeches to a stop billy gets out sword in hand he runs to the front door of the house he knocks hard Mr futs a balding middle-aged man wearing a bathroom pajamas answers the door Mini that's you I'm what going on here I was that's P me Matthew yeah I was sorry trying to get this back on uh okay I'm back on good yeah uh Billy Pelzer what's going on

here they're coming huh you you've got to keep your windows locked or or better yet board them up and your lights you've got to leave them on what are you talking about boy there are these little things animals they're all over the place they'll kill you and your family Mr futter starts to laugh have you been drinking oh no sir I I and what the hell is that a sword yes I and what are you doing with the sheriff's car are you on drugs Billy starts to explain when Mr deagle the next or Neal walks onto his porch deagle is a portly man with curly gray hair and a build he calls to Mr futters Hey Joe I saw the police CL you in some kind of trouble no it's the Pelzer kid he thinks were going to uh get eaten up by wild animals and he's carrying a sword did you say Mr prer Billy proter yeah he's an out what crazy in the bank that I call my wife all times of day you smart ass son of a [ __ ] if I was 10 years younger I'd beat the crap

out of you Billy sigh is frustrating Mrs deagle joins her husband on the porch what's the matter oh it's you here to apologize oh no ma'am I'm trying to save your life what the boy went crazy dear he's carrying a sword I knew he was crazy from the start I hope they lock you up for good and throw away the key Mr deagle puts his arm around his wife come on back inside dear let's finish watching Dallas good night Joe good night Ed you've got 10 seconds to get the hell out of my yard then I'm calling the sheriff if he isn't out looking for you already he slams the door and goes inside Billy just stands there defeated frustrated a creature hisses behind Billy Billy turns mwai leaps at him Billy raises his sword and swings he knocks the creature down he stabs mwai moway D dies with a long scream Billy looks up and sees the pack of creatures moving down Main Street they have arrived looking for food many break into

the house across the street there are some human screams then the house lights go out several creatures come towards Billy Billy runs to the police car he opens the door and gets inside a creature leaps at him Billy slams the car door it's sever the creature's head or sorry the creature's hand very different than the head several creatures around the car Billy Hears A Familiar voice screaming he looks out the window Mrs deagle comes running out of her house toward the police car she's screaming for help cature is on her back another creature leaps at her she falls into the snow several creatures attack Mrs deagle she her screams fade so does her life Billy looks away more creatures are surrounding the car they pound against the windows they want in scared Billy flips on the police radio Sheriff it's Billy Belzer can you hear me cut to Interior Sheriff's Office Frank plays cards huh am I the actions and

descriptions here page 69 I'm not sure what page we're on i' try to find the pages I can't see there's page 74 not quite yet you got page 76 is where you you pick up pad Mei so you got more okay got two interior Sheriff's Office Frank plays cards with his brother Gary Gary is still in his bank security guard uniform Billy's voice crackles over the radio please answer it's me Billy Frank grabs the mic Gary Smiles that must be frank that's Frank Jackie oh what's going on El where's officer Brent he was killed by the creatures what where are you the police car is blanketed by creatures trying to get in at Billy Billy screams to the radio mic oh the creatures are all over town they're breaking into houses killing people you've got to get help the rear window smashes the creature start to rip away at the glass a creature's arm smashes through the passenger window Billy drops the radio Mark radio mik pela pela Billy thinks

fast he flips on the siren and flashing roof lights the creatures are scared of the bright lights they scatter away from the car Billy starts the engine he squeals out of the drive the driveway cut to the Sheriff's Office oh P pela damn sounds like he really flipped out this time Frank stands he straps on his gun holster looks like I'm going to have to straighten this out myself want to go for a ride can I drive Frank reluctantly nods Gary stands but Frank with everybody out who's going to be here to answer emergency phone calls help the little grablin are eaving my baby Carri laughs hard as joke the ex to the police station camera stays behind behind in the deserted deserted police station we hear Frank and Gary get into the car and then and drive off then a telephone rings then another fun rings and another people need help cut

too pman this is you yeah but oh that is directions I see Billy shaky nervous behind the wheel of the police car outside the creatures are making their way down Main Street they are everywhere on rooftops front Lawns smashing through Windows breaking into homes scattered human screams echo through the night people are dying moai is taking over the town Billy looks through his windshield up ahead he sees Tracy screaming for help from a third floor window of her home Billy steers the police car into her drive way he squeals to a stop he grabs a sword and gets out of the car outside Billy runs to below Tracy's window he shouts to her Tracy it's me Billy Tracy stands in her bedroom the bedroom door is closed locked the creatures pound against it they want in Tracy shouts down to Billy Matthew is that me yep you're Tracy bil these things are all over my house on TR there's a ladder beside the

garage Billy runs to the garage side he reaches down and picks up a rusty aluminum ladder he puts the ladder up to Tracy's window and climbs to her interior Tracy's room the bedroom door burst open two creatures stand there growling hungry they move to Tracy she screams billy gets to Tracy he quickly pulls her out of the window they begin to climb down the ladder on the ground below a creature jumps onto the ladder Tracy is startled she nearly Falls Billy grabs a better hold of her he drops a sword it falls to the ground and lands in the snow the creature lookss up and sees Billy and Tracy a few feet above moway begins to climb the ladder going after them Billy and Tracy start to climb up the ladder but the other two two other creatures come out of Tracy's bedroom window they see Billy and Tracy below they climb out after them down the ladder Billy and Tracy are trapped sandwich between the creatures Billy

looks to his sword on the ground so far away the creatures are almost upon them thinking fast Billy pulls the ladder back it sways he pulls harder the ladder tilts to the ground falling the three creatures are thrown to the ground into the deep snow Billy and Tracy ride the ladder down the snow breaks their fall the creatures dig their way out of the snow they move towards Billy and Tracy Billy snaps up his sword and jumps to his feet ready to fight he keeps one protective arm around Tracy the creatures surround them waiting for the right moment to attack one of the creatures moves forward another leaps behind Billy Billy lunges forward and Spears the first creature he quickly reels around slicing the other creature in two both creatures lie in the snow dead Billy turns to the last magu with two swings of his blade he kills a creature Billy wipes the green blood off his sword with his coat sleeve

breathless he looks at Tracy hair hangs in his eyes blood runs down the side of his sweaty unshaven face his dark brown eyes stare at Tracy the transformation from meek Bank cler to sexy hero is complete you're safe now he Embraces her they run to the police car and get inside into a police car Billy starts the car he and Tracy Drive off into the

night Gary drives Frank sits beide him Gary flips on the siren and lights he smiles like a little kid uh Frank reaches over and turns off the siren Gary complains come Onie come on that was great oh sarcastic I got a headache but this is an emergency we got to warn everybody the Gremlins are coming size H so when are you gonna make me Deputy when you grow up why don't you fire Brent he's got he's nothing but a drunk I could do a lot better they arrive at the outskirts of town Frank notices something up ahead he can see the Shadows of the creatures crawling on houses running across the FL Lawns Frank motions for Gary to slow down something looks weird rolls down his window damn windshield's Frozen can't see a thing he sticks his head out the window to look out Gary continues to drive Frank turns from outside back to Gary snow's too heavy I I can't a creature leaps onto the car's passenger

side he tries to shake off the creature Gary glances over shocked horrified maguay T takes a huge bite out of Frank's arm he screams the police car slides on the ice it slams into a guard layered rail flips over a ditch and Spins to a stop Billy's Car Billy drives drives as fast as possible through the heavy snow he's headed out of town Tracy sits behind side him she looks out the window outside the rows of once peaceful cheerful homes are now the scenes of frenzied horror people run out into the night screaming for help only to be bragged to the ground by creatures ravaged bodies lie in the snow Frozen an ambulance is overturned on the roadside phone lines are Tor down town down the creatures have made their way across town they now attack the last few houses on the Block Tracy looks away from her window tears fill her eyes she's slickened by all of it sickened by all of it Billy holds Tracy's hand comforting her Billy

notices something up ahead he stops the police car outside the headlights shine on Frank's overturned police car Gary is inside still alive he screams for help Tracy notices Panic it's Gary it's Gary sword I I'll get him out Billy quickly opens the car police car door he jumps out outside he's closed the door Tracy is safe inside Billy walks to the sheriff's car he stays in the safety of the headlights beam Billy stops a few feet from the sheriff's car the passenger side is crushed the driver's side is barely damaged safe for a dented jab door Gary pounds against the door he wants out Billy grabs the car handle he pulls hard the door pops open he bull pulls Gary Out Gary gets to his feet he's okay Billy looks inside the car Billy closes the door what about my brother can we get him out he's dead tears fill Gary's eyes Billy leads Gary to the car come on just stay in the light they're afraid of

the light Gary walks he looks scared helpless they get to the police car Billy opens the door interior the police car Gary gets inside he sees tra see his eyes light Trac she smiles glad to see him alive they kiss Gary puts his arm around her Billy hops into the driver's seat he rests the sword uh beside him he starts the car and continues to drive Gary gives Tracy another kiss he needs her Comfort Billy just stares ahead at the Snowy Road cut to do go antique store on the outskirts of town closed but the upstairs lights are on someone is home everything here looks calm untouched safe the police car pulls them to the driveway and P me this is where we switched to Jackie for actions and descriptions yeah Catu oh Douglas inside Billy turns to Gary and Tracy we're just outside of town doesn't it look like the creatures got here yet let's go inside and warm up they exit the police car outside the stores

front lights come on Dory comes to the door he sees the worn Hollow faces of Gary and Tracy he sees the bruised and bloodied Billy and Dory says P me is that you sorry I was just a little okay got uh let me find uh what what the hell happened to you Billy looks at Dory we need help interior dougles the living room later Dory bandages Billy's calf Gary sits with Tracy on the sofa Billy finishes telling the full story to everyone and they originate from this Marketplace in Hong Kong Dory stands and shakes his head hard to believe like Satan's come to walk the earth you see they're drawn to water now if my hunch is correct they'll be leaving town and heading for the water tower which means they'll have to pass by here tonight I have to get help these things have to be kept under control if they get to the water tower well they could spread all over the state oh maybe the country they're like inhuman divining

rods why did you think of that before Peltzer I did but nobody would listen well maybe if you weren't such nut people would believe you Dory intervenes uh now boys arguing will get us Gary still glares at belly this is your fault Pelzer that's not true my brother's dead because of you that isn't my the people in town they're dead because of you stop it you did it you killed all those people You're a murderer Pelzer Billy lunches at Gary they fall to the ground fighting Dori and Tracy break it up you want to stay alive we have to stick together Billy turns away cooling off Gary is comforted by Tracy but she keeps her eye on Billy Dory looks at everyone we should get in touch with the authorities yeah and and then I'd like to try and get in touch with my dad if we can the lights go out total darkness exterior Dory store mugwi claw tears at the wires in the electrical box got two living room Gary's cigarette lighter

illuminates the room everyone stays quiet they listen the giggling of several creatures Echoes from outside they're here a frightened Gary holds Tracy now what do we do the giggling gets louder closer Billy turns to Dory do you have a place where without Windows a a place where we could be safe Dory pauses to think the storage room the sound of breaking glass is heard they're downstairs in the store we have to hurry Dory leads everyone out of the room interior storage room large area crowded with antiques Dory leads everyone inside he closes and locks the door he lights two candles we'll stay here until Daybreak Gary sits with Tracy on an old sofa Dory sits beside them in an old rocking chair Billy pulls up an old wooden chair loud noises crashes bang thumbs Giggles they Echo from off screen the creatures rummage through the antique store closeup Billy Gary Tracy Dory listening to The Sounds

frightened mischievous Little Devils aren't they no one disagrees Tracy suddenly notices something she cries out Billy several creatures' claws scratched through the thin wood of the storage room door Thinking Fast Billy moves to a large CL cabinet he turns to Gary help me with this Gary and Billy Slide the cabinet in front of the door that'll keep them out we're safe now sits back the noises continue Dory looks at everyone I'm I've only been the scared two other times in my life once when I was drafted the other was when I was 6 years old it was Christmas Eve my sisters and I were decorating the tree with our mother we were singing carols happy excited waiting for Dad to get home from work few hours passed and we started to worry Dad wasn't home yet my mother called the office they said he left after about a week the police gave up my mother was close to a nervous breakdown rest of us weren't eating we

couldn't sleep everything was falling apart it was snowing outside the house was cold I threw some logs on the fire that's when I noticed a smell firemen came they broke through the chimney top we were all waiting excepting expecting them to pull out some dead cat or bird instead they pulled out my father he was dressed in a Santa Claus suit he'd been climbing down the chimney on Christmas Eve his arms loaded with presents he was going to surprise us the coroner said that he lost his footing he slipped and broke his neck died instantly his body was lodged in the narrow chimney shaft that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus everyone has a chilled look on their faces dor just stares Billy stands and clears his throat well I think you should all try and get some sleep I'll watch the door everyone agrees Billy moves his chair in front of the door Dory relaxes in his rocking chair Gary stretches out on the sofa

expecting Tracy to cuddle with him instead she walks over to Billy Billy he looks at her she gives him a comforting smile I just wanted to say thanks I mean if it wasn't for you I don't know what any of us would have done Billy Smiles is it okay if I sleep here on the floor beside you I'd feel a lot safer Billy nods Tracy moves the carpet next to Billy's chair she lies on the carpet she closes her eyes Gary watches from the sofa jealous Dory has fallen asleep in his chair Billy sits sword on his lap he guards the door sounds still echo from downstairs throughout the antique store close up Billy the horror of it all finally hits him his eyes filled with tears he cries alone fadeen Billy sleeping in his chair his hand still holds the sword on his lap the others are asleep Billy's hand Quivers the sword drops to the floor he wakes startled he quickly grabs the sword everyone else wakes from The

Sound everything's okay I I just dropped my sword Gary rubbed his eyes what time is it 9:15 stands he pushes the wood cabinet from the door the door is covered with scratches Billy slowly opens it the room is bathed with light coming from a window facing the door everyone Smiles the light feels good safe they exit the storage room interior living room destroyed by the creatures Furniture is overturned windows are broken curtains are torn Billy Dory Gary and Tracy enter camera follows the four people through the house into the kitchen the bedrooms the hallways every room has been destroyed by the creatures interior story area all of the Antiques have been smashed or broken by the creatures Dory is shocked to he to see his store in this state Billy walks to the front door he tries to open it it's jammed he pulls hard finally it opens outside a blanket of snow covers everything it snowed hard last night

three Feet's worth Billy turns to Dory try the phone see if we can get help Dory walks back inside Gary flips on a Transit transitor radio that has been sitting on the shelf all major highways and roads are closed driving is close to Impossible it looks like we're going to be snowbound for the holidays Dory returns B's dead damn we're trapped I think we should get out now how the nearest town is 15 miles away I'll walk in this or you won't get far it's worth a try and what happens when it gets dark and you're on the road alone Barry says nothing no we have to stick together and fight these things at least until we can get help Cy FS I Gary puts his arm around her she'd rather have billies yeah I'm hungry there's a McDonald's about a block away okay we'll get something to eat and then we go to work cut to exterior McDonald's later the police car is parked outside many of the restaurant windows are broken a few deserted cars

are in the parking lot inside the creatures have been here the dead body of an old man is slumped across a table a half-eaten Big Mac is still in his hand in a booth sits a dead family mother father boy and girl their food still sits in front of them untouched a dead cashier girl lies on the counter Billy Tracy Gary and Dory sit at a table in the rear of the restaurant away from the grizzly sites they eat burgers and fries Gary takes a bite of his burger and kns the Billy not bad vter I didn't know you could cook I worked the grill here when I was 16 my first job could there be other people in town alive it's possible but it's more important to get at the creatures we've got the advantage now it's daylight no are they our pter no but they're all gathered in one place and the sun rose before they could make it to the water tower so they must be Hol Up between here and there H old church yeah too many windows too much

light it's got to be someplace dark totally dark how about somebody's garage or pool shed no there's too many of them they need a huge area Rich's Movie House everyone pauses to think it's a big place no windows always dark pitch black Billy kns to himself that's the place exterior ridges movie theater late afternoon the Sun is going down Walt Disney is Snow White in the Seven Dwarves playing a written sign is posed in the box office window tonight's show cancelled because of snow Billy and the others walk up to the theater Gary is killing carrying a flashlight Billy turns to him you used to work here right when I was a kid you're coming in with me you can show me around what are you going to do up there inside blow up the theater everyone seems puzzled Billy turns to Gary this place has some kind of boiler room with a furnace right in the basement I'll use the gas lines as a bomb the fire will destroy the

creatures Dory looks at Billy I want to come in with you you'll need the extra hand Billy agrees oh I'm I'm not staying out here alone it's getting dark you nods they'll all go in together okay but just remember we've got to stick to together and keep close to the flashlight they're scared of the light everyone nods Gary turns on the flashlight Tracy takes Billy's hand Gary is jealous they enter the theater interior theater Lobby Gary shines his flashlight the candy counter has been smashed all of the count candy is gone the popcorn machine is emptied the soda machine has been emptied and turned on its side Billy walks to the theater entrance door he looks into the small window is interior theater countless pairs of green eyes shine in the darkness the creatures murmur amongst themselves Billy Whispers to the others they're inside the theater the others peer into the window how do we get to

the boiler room you have to go through the theater damn there's too many of those things they'll see us if we could just distract them Tracy perks up we have an idea they look at her projection booth Billy Tracy Dory and Gary enter Tracy walks to the projector she finds a forward switch and she flips it the projector purs the lamp goes on the reels turn interior theater the second reel of Snow White fills the screen the Seven Dwarfs are singing hi ho hi ho it's off to work we go and the song Echoes through the theater the creatures are frightened by the images on the screen the light hurts their eyes but gradually they become interested in the movie rejection Booth Tracy Smiles at the others inter cut to the interior theater the creatures are clustered in their seats puzzled fascinated by the animated screen Billy and the others move through the darkness they crawl onto the floor on the outside aisle of

theater to the exit door they move carefully slowly silently and they make it to the exit they crawl out safe the creatures still watch the movie interior hallway out of the theater Billy Tracy Dory and Gary run to the Boiler Room interior Boiler Room Billy walks to the large gas furnace he examines the gas line he finds a shut off valve and turns off the gas Billy takes off his coat and shirt he removes his T-shirt he looks at Gary give me your T-shirt oh sorry give me your T-shirt Gary relaxingly takes off his T-shirt bil ties the two shirts together and he winds them into a cord he finds a connection in the gas line he begins to pound against it with the handle of his sword the sounds of metal ring out clang clang clang into your theater the film's real ends the screen goes blank the creatures are puzzled distracted they throw their candy boxes and paper cup to the screen cling Billy sword hitting the pipe is

heard several of the creatures grouped together they move from their seats to the exit door and they follow the sound into your Boiler Room Billy gives one final hit to the gas line the connection snaps he Stuffs the line with his and Gary's shirt he turns the gas back on and lights the end of the crumpled shirt with the match the flame slowly creeps with the shirt to the line we have to get out fast Gary Point sever your exit that leads outside several creatures burst into the room Gary panics he pulls out a gun and starts shooting Not Your Gun there's too many use the light Gary stops shooting and fumbles for his flashlight a creature leaps at Dory pinning the old man to the ground other creatures attack Dory biting scratching tearing Billy picks up a sword and begins to knock the creatures off Dory creatures come at Tracy she picks up a section of thick lead pipe and bats off the oncoming m Gary finally turns on the

flashlight beam it keeps some of the magai at Bay Fire creeps up the T-shirt getting closer to the gas line billy gets all the creatures off Dory more creatures come through the door Gary gets scared he the flashlight and runs for the rear exit get back here we need you Gary Runs Out leaving the others alone Billy and Tracy continue to fight the creatures Dory lies on the ground exterior behind the theater Gary rushes out it's dark he runs through the snowfill alley to the front of the theater inter your Boiler Room the fire is only a few inches from the gas line soon the place will blow Billy and Tracy still fight Billy inches to the rear exit his arm blindly gropes with the door handle and the fire is almost at the gas line Billy's hand reaches a door handle and he opens it he turns a Tracy let's go Billy picks up dory's body Tracy protects him by batting away any oncoming creatures and they hurry out of

the boiler room into your hallway Tracy closes the boiler room door locking the creatures inside Billy carries dory's body he and Tracy run to the exit exterior alley behind the theater Tracy and Billy burst through the door and they fall into a snow pile and that's where we' switch to abiskar but he's not here here yet um so I'll keep reading unless someone else wants to do you want me to take over I can take over uh the theater explodes doors fly off Windows break the entire theater is engulfed in flames loud high pitched screaming is heard creatures are dying Billy stands up from the snow drift he looks at Tracy she's okay they look at Dory his body is covered of scratches and bites he's dead Billy picks up dory's body he carries it to the front of the theater he follows Tatu interior theater tracking shot camera moves through the Flames some creatures scream burning to death others try to avoid the Flames camera

moves to the ceiling the sprinkler system turns on Cut to closeup Gary sweating scared out of breath he stands across the street from the theater watching Billy and Tracy emerg from behind the building they walk towards Gary Billy walks up he's holding dory's body he lowers the lowers the body to the ground he glares at Gary you bastard you ran out on us left us alone to die Billy drops the sword and jumps on or sorry Billy drops his sword and jumps Gary he falls to the ground fighting punching Gary knees Billy in the groin Billy is bent over catching catching his wind Gary snatches the sword he lunges at Billy with the blade Gary no Billy Dodges the blade Gary moves closer to Billy the sword inches away from B Billy's chest Gary swings Billy steps back the tip of the sword scratches across his T his chest Billy Cries Out Derry lunges at him again Billy is scratched you're going a little too fast up here go down Billy is

scratched across the stomach Billy is backed against the building wall Gary pulls back his sword ready to spear Billy a creature leads out of the darkness and grabs Gary by the throat Gary screams he drops the sword another creature attacks Gary followed by another and another they bring him to the ground they eat he dies Billy quickly picks up his sword before the creatures get to him and Tracy he grabs her hand they run to the police car they get inside and lock the doors interior police car Billy and Tracy look across the street countless creatures are pouring out of the theater Into the Night the police car squeals away into the night interior car Tracy examines Billy's shoulder a deep cut the creature on the back seat opens its eyes it lets out a high pitch wounded cry Tracy picks up the sword really ready to kill the creature Billy stops her wait he looks out the rear window a pack

of creatures are following the police car Billy looks at the creature on the back seat it still cries out in that high pitch scream hear that he's he's calling his friends for help they're following us as long as he's alive and screaming they'll come after him so we can't kill him he's our bait we'll be able to lead them away from the water tower just keep an eye on the thing make sure it doesn't hurt us Tracy keeps the sword on the creature Billy guns the engine and screeches off he looks to the river mirror the countless green eyes follow dissolv to ex exterior Exon station later that night station is deserted a clock in the window reads 5:27 a.m. the police car pulls into the station lot Billy and Tracy get out they look tired warn they've been driving all night Billy pumps the gas into the car the wounded creature still lies on the back seat magai still screams in its high pitched whale Tracy looks into the

distance the pack of green eyes is visible a few miles away they move to Tracy and Billy's Direction still coming Billy replaces the gas pump he looks to the sky we'd better hurry I mean they're getting close they get into the car inside Billy starts the car Tracy looks into the back seat where you the creature is gone Billy and Tracy are shocked puzzled cutu behind the police car the creature hasra uh the creature has crawled outside through the rear window it crawls beneath the car moving into the engine Billy and Tracy look around puzzled confused where in the hell suddenly the car stalls Billy tries to restart it no good dead engine killing Echoes from under the hood Billy and Tracy get out of the car outside the pack of creatures are getting closer Billy and Tracy move to the car's Hood Billy opens it MW is inside the its mouth is full of Tangled wires and plugs that the creature has

ripped from the engine magai giggles at Billy check the garage see if there's a a bag a box something we can keep this little b Ard locked up in Tracy hurries to the garage interior station garage Tracy finds a small red metal toolbox she empties it and carries the bo back box back to the car Billy grabs the creature magai is still wounded in days but it manages to bite and scratch at Billy Tracy holds the tool blocks open MW sorry Billy forces mwai inside he closes the toolbox and locks it shut MW is trapped inside the creature pounds against the metal its loud cry Echoes from inside Billy checks the car's engine oh damn he ripped out the coil wires the car won't run without them can you fix it Billy looks into the distance the creatures are getting very close there's no time come on Billy and Tracy run Barry Billy not Barry carries the toolbox magai cries from inside Billy looks behind him the magwai plow through

the snow moving closer to Billy and Tracy tracking shot of Billy and Tracy running fast out of breath trying to keep ahead of the droves of magay B looks into the distance at the top of a hill a greenhouse sits at the top uh sits in a large open area it overlooks the entire town of King Kingston Falls Billy and Tracy run up the hill towards the greenhouse the magai move fast they're getting closer to Billy and Tracy some of the creatures travel beneath the snow others hop through it Billy and Tracy arrive at the top of the hill they run to the green house entrance they open the doors and enter inside Billy drops a toolbox on top of a greenhouse table outside the creatures arrive at the top of the hill they mooved to the greenhouse doors inside Billy spots a huge tree it grows up through the center of the greenhouse Billy takes Tracy's hand they run to the tree they begin to climb to the top the

creatures crash through the greenhouse doors several of them surround the toolbox mag screamed from inside others tear through the greenhouse smashing plants overturning table taes Etc the creature SPO Billy and Tracy climbing the tree the mag moved to the tree Billy and Tracy climb Billy looks to the S looks to the sky Dawn is approaching Billy looks below him the creatures climb the trees scurrying to Billy and Tracy Billy fights off the oncoming magai with his sword at the trees's bottom several creatures have begun to gnaw at the tree trunk Billy and Tracy are near the Tree Top they cling to the large thick branch the creatur still chase after them Billy keeps them at Bay at the trees bottom the creatures have almost completely noded through the tree trunk the tree sways the trunk snaps Billy and Tracy hold ties the tree falls to the ground Billy smacks to the greenhous floor slightly dazed Tracy

lands beside him unconscious a few creatures jump on her Billy stands he knocks creatures off Tracy several creatures attack him Billy fights but there are too many they keep coming surrounding him Billy can't keep up with them outside the sun is coming up the darkness Fades inside the creature still attack Billy tries to fight a creature grabs his wounded leg Billy cries out in pain another creature rips at his arm Billy drops the sword he's finished he falls to the ground beside Tracy the hungry creatur surround Billy weak defeated Billy closes his eyes he finally gives up the sun rises the creatures move to to finish off Billy suddenly they stop they become weak bright sunlight shines into the greenhouse the creatures try to run nowhere to hide Billy opens his eyes he watches The Sun Shines brighter sweat pour from the creatures bodies they cry out in pain unearthly screams their bodies start to smolder cracks appear in

their skin the creatures begin to melt like candles Billy watches in horror their bodies collapse to the floor they become mounds of unrecognizable liquid their screams fade die out billy gets to his feet he looks around All That Remains are pools of smoldering liquid the nightmare is over magai is dead Billy takes a breath Cuts bites scratches they cover his body he looks down at Tracy Billy kneels resting her head and shoulders in his lap she opens her eyes she gives a weak smile to Billy he lightly kisses her on the lips he holds her tight he helps Tracy to her feet he picks up his sword Billy and Tracy exit the greenhouse outside Billy and Tracy stand in the snow they look out over Kingston Falls now a ghost town Billy pulls back and throws Billy pulls back and throws the sword it flips through the air it lands several feet away speared upright in the snow Billy collapses in the snow exhausted and Tracy kneels

beside him close up Billy's face lying in the snow unconscious hard lonely worn the face of a warrior the face of a hero dissolved to a closeup on ran Peltzer a pensive tired look covers his face the camera pulls back we're inside of a hospital room ran sits in a chair across the room from Billy he lies in bed his wounds are bandaged an ivy needle is in his arms Billy opens his eyes and they focus in on ran Dad ran Smiles he Embraces his son it's it's okay Billy it's over Billy holds his father tightly now it's Tracy f she's in a room of her own you can see her tomorrow Billy nods suddenly Billy's head pops up his eyes are wide hysterical a shocked expression covers his face oh my God no no Billy what is it the toolbox it's locked I didn't open it it's dark inside what Billy jumps out of bed he tears the IV out of his arm and he opens the closet and starts to get dressed ran quickly buzzes the nurse two nurses and

a doctor hurry into the room they grab Billy and rustle him back to bed and the doctor gives Billy a shot wait oh you've got to let me go I didn't open the toolbox I didn't get the Billy's words start to Mush together his eyelids get heavy and he falls to sleep the doctor turns to Rand he'll be okay he's still in shock exhausted he needs more rest ran nods the nurses and Doctor exit ran just stares at Billy cut to a closeup of the red metal toolbox still locked still sitting on the greenhouse table where Billy left it the camera pulls back to reveal several workers cleaning up the debris repairing the broken Greenhouse Windows the workers load the trash onto a dump truck outside the snow is melting the sun shines bright a Burly muscular worker walks up to the table and picks up the toolbox he shouts to another

worker oh that's abiskar line someone want to grab that hey Eddie what should I do with this ah throw it out with the other trash the worker is ready to throw it out he exams a toolbox fairly new in good condition he decides to keep it he walks to his van and rests the toolbox on the front passenger seat cut to the worker driving home on his van later that afternoon the radio plays a country tune the toolbox rests on the seat beside him suddenly the toolbox begins to shake something pounds against it from the inside the worker pulls his van to the roadside he stares at the shaking toolbox his eyes are wide scared the worker grabs the toolbox he gets out of his van outside the toolbox shakes and rattles in the worker's hand frightened he throws that box over a hilly wooded area at the side of the road the toolbox tumbles down a steep hill it lands at the bottom and bounces into a lake the toolbox stays afloat for a few

seconds and then it slowly sinks into the lake water interior water the toolbox sinks to the bottom of the lake mwise giggle fills the soundtrack and the credits roll the end and there is a sequel if everyone wants to know there is a sequel It's actually fantastic I think it got panned at the time but it's actually great I I enjoyed it anyways we should do a read on it yeah it's actually really good it's fun and again this was not what we expected I wonder if they remake it again if they'll they'll do it more closer to this if they ever remake it because this is a very interesting take on the story though I I think I'm I'm happy we got Gizmo honestly I just yeah like we mentioned last week too I mean even Spiel but this film The the actual production of this film and Indiana Jones the Temple of Doom the two of those movies were the reason we have PG-13 now because they were so um yeah because the the events and those things

you know with the with with the monsters and the skull eating things in the other movie you know both of them were Spielberg movies but yeah the the American audience did not react so well to taking their little kids to um yeah not little kids worthy I mean I mean we had the haze code and everything too but yes yes little kids and they like oh this is a family picture no no it is so yeah 1984 was the birth of PG-13 thank you Stephen Spielberg I love Temple of Doom though right yeah really that is so funny because so many people hated I know it's my favorite Indiana Jones movie I mean I think it's pretty good I I don't know I like the Last Crusade I I really like um I really like the the Raiders of the Lost Arc as well I think they're both great uh Temple I don't I don't know I do love I do love um what's his name Kanan I think Kanan is fantastic the the kid it's a cultural difference because

Americans I'm sagales so I'm not American and I think like just understanding different cultures and living in different countries gives you a different perspective so I was just like Temple of Doom hits the way the others don't hit for me yeah right and they're really worried about I mean now it's more just like how insulting is it that you think that these people have a different culture like sitting there tearing out people's heart and eating monkey be that's that's kind of why but that's why I'm saying that's why that's why people are upset about it because it's putting a harsh I don't have a problem with it I understand people have different cultures and in different cultures things are not the same well no they're evil people in all cultures like that's the thing evil exists in all every place of the earth so it's like I don't see what's insulting about that they're not saying all Indians are this way they

were saying a small group of Indians areal so you look like you want something to say here which type of Indians that's the thing too right they're not specific at all Asian you mean of the ones from Asia not Native Americans yeah the ones from Asia not Native American I see yeah I find it silly also to say certain countries are Kinder than others because people are the same everywhere though it's pretty naive to think that it'll be yeah when I was um I was born in India and moved to America right before I turned five and I used to think that the grass is greener on the other side that if I wished I still lived in India and thought of it as my country and that if I lived in India all my problems would disappear but I've come to realize that not the case and people are the same everywhere no one culture is a c i mean no one country is a certain way or nicer than the other no I mean there's just like there's racism

everywhere I mean but it's just highlighted in America there's just a highlight of that of of that kind of thing in America because there's such a heavy history of it so I think that that's why Americans are more sensitive to it I think to racism well yeah to to the idea of different like you know we have I think there's a tendency that if you're highlighting that this this small group of people are this way tend to generalize it to oh you must be saying this about everybody the the whole race itself and therefore this is evil I'm just saying like because it's so it's hyper sensitivity what do you think about cat about that cat and so you're saying that you're thinking the Public's misinterpreting the fact that in that they're not that's not just this like little cold off to the side you're you're thinking that um this film is suggesting that the whole country is like that and that's why people are

upset that right so unfortunately that's what it that's what I think that that's why people made such a hoopla about it that's what I'm saying gotcha because I do know that Stephen Spielberg apparently is banned from India apparently that's what I've heard I that's at least that's what I've read know yeah but that's what I've heard or at least read somewhere and so don't quote me on it but that was something that I I heard or read about and it was like yeah he's actually not allowed back in this place because or at least where they filmed it because they were really insulted not banned he was prevented from shooting Temple of Doom in in Indian Territory and so he filmed in Sri Lanka but he's not Bandon any okay yes all right that's good to know I said don't quote me on it take it with it's funny because at the end of the movie it ends up with again like there are some Indians that were part in in

making you know and like freeing the people from that that terrible group that sect yeah they were sect that's what they were they were a sect yeah a cult C culty sect right exactly that's why I'm like why can't people understand like and why are you making such a big hoopla about this my goodness like seriously why but as I said Americans are funny about racism you're you're right about no no Americans are funny about racism when it comes to black and white especially and other countries are funny about different types of prejudice right like in India they have the cast problem right there's a big like conversation about cast in Randa right it's the tsis versus the H hutus right that's a big conversation the English versus the Irish genocide you know exactly the British versus the Irish Lord history right oh my gosh it's not pretty there either I know that was what I did my thesis on on Ireland so on

all of that mess I mean it's still happening it's it's craziness so and I'm gonna I'm gonna go further north and say the Norwegians against the swedes why because the Norwegians had the oil and now they're L well I'm half Swedish and half Norwegian and and I remember somebody was in uh the store daughter was working in and she told them I'm half Swedish and I'm half Norwegian and they were Swedish and they said oh wow how did that happen we're supposed to hate each other and my daughter said well thank goodness my grandparents didn't know that right it's just like I'm half English and Irish I'm My Own Worst Enemy it's Fant I'm kidding I'm actually like 70% Irish but like I do have I do have like English there too so it's just really funny but yeah it it's really interesting uh how that gets highlighted in all those things and and how it it's specifically black against white here which is really sad actually because not

really black people are lovely no no I mean I mean in California it's a little more but there is still racism that does happen in America I mean there I'm saying everywhere in America there is there is I'm just saying it's easier in California in California it's a little it's a little it's not it's more under the surface and more bubbles than anything else I think but I think I think black people are it depends on where in California my friend because I I've been to California a couple times and I'm like it depends on where you are it does it really does I know it does I'm saying I'm like it kind of bubbles a little bit but yeah it does still exist so now let's steer this to the MOG ways are prejudiced against the people and that's why they kill them all I mean there's supposed to be just like an evil creature that's like unknowable and I I think it's just more that un I don't think it's really metaphoric for

anything I think it's just like no I mean I think it's just like you know it's that whole um unknowable horror like we don't know what these things are it's the uh um what's that word I want to say it's the um cthulu horror it's like cthulu I just wonder what the the you know rationale was for making really cute things murderous veloca raptors velosa raptors are so adorable I don't know about them being cute so that's actually my nickname is a velociraptor so and I want to point out in in the movie that went out to the public mway stayed sweet and adorable that you know and I I think that in my mind that saved the actual movie because you got to still love Little M way in the backpack going look I mean Gizmo is adorable we love we all stand Gizmo so yeah yeah I think that's the one thing is that they're like well these are mythical creatures therefore they're satanic and evil I guess that's the only

thing that you can can look at it as or not something that exists a normal think they're scared sunlight they're so maybe that's why they're considered to be evil I don't know I I I I find the idea that adorable looking creatures are actually um scary and can eat your face off I do find that kind of funny yeah well terrified of ET when it first came out I was five I think five or six and I was in the near the front of the theater my parents were in the back and I we got just the very first scene I just kept expecting any moment now that ET was going to turn and be evil the whole movie I was on the edge of my seat every single time he said or did anything and I'm like we got to the whole movie and obviously he didn't you know go out and kill people but I was expecting it the whole time it's like this is a setup this is not the kids movie he's going to turn around I ended up having to go to

the back and seater and my parents about five minutes in because I was just so scared it was going to flip and and not go you know not stay cute I mean I think it's the whole thing of don't judge a book by its cover because something can look cute and adorable and kill you and something that can look very frightening and scary it ends up being your front I think that's kind of what just saying judge judge the Beast yeah it's judge judge creatures as their actions and who they are and I think it's interesting because in the beginning of the movie you already had Billy who was already suspicious of you know his actions also brought upon what happened too with with the m I think that you know because at first the mag was not mean he was cute actually and kind of sweet and he just wanted his attention and he wanted and he was like Curious and all these things and Billy was actually quite mean to him

yeah yeah in the yeah in this version yeah and in the movie um Gizmo stayed sweet and cute and the Gremlins were not cute they they got transformed because he didn't follow the rules I mean it still is on Billy but Billy Billy's actions are one out of of um not cruelty but one out of um ignorance he just didn't follow the rules you stupidity more than anything else so I guess that's that's kind of a good switch off like he just stupid and and it was different in the movie where um don't feed them after midnight that was they unpluged the clock so that Billy didn't realize that it was after midnight ah see been a while since them so yeah I I didn't remember that part so recently so yeah Vick's right on that one I don't remember it's been a while fed them or somehow they got the I can't remember they got the food somehow but it wasn't you know it wasn't the clock being unplugged in this one in

this script yeah so no I really do prefer the movie to this second draft yeah I'm glad that they they changed a lot about it I liked the because the characters are kind of UNL likable some of the characters are really really unlikable and Dory telling the the story about the father getting trapped with in the well then he broke his neck that was Tracy story in the movie oh that's great yeah yeah it's really interesting sorry go ahead sorry that makes more sense because you you know you've already had some connection with Tracy so it's it's better to give that story to a character that other than not to a character that doesn't even come in till like act three you know yeah and then you can't feel that much sympathy for Dory because we haven't really met her yet or I guess him in this case him yeah and it it explains why Tracy works in the bar during the Christmas season because she doesn't want to think about Christmas

she wants to be preoccupied and my daughter pointed out and Mom she doesn't even accept pay she just wants to be there working she wow things have been messing with my computer but I didn't remember that it's like really she didn't get paid to bartend that's crazy yeah she just likes working for free apparently just so she didn't think about Christmas and yeah I think the movie you understand what they consider it a Christmas movie whereas this one no it's just winter really I mean it's a Christmas season but it's not like a Christmas movie what's really what's really interesting is while I was going through this read I could see why they also changed it because it actually reminds me a lot of the those um monster movies from like the 70s or like the 60s and 70s where they were you know the everything's like I don't know if any of you have seen Kingdom of the spiders but it reminds me a lot of

kingdom of the spiders that's all I could think of at the very end there is that the one where the spiders just like take over the entire planet oh I did it's William it's William Shatner it's seen it I saw 80% of that because my mom sent me to bed and I woke up you know I couldn't see the ending so I woke up the morning and asked where the ending was expecting again you know that they've solved the problem they've killed off all the spiders everything's back to normal she no took over the town I'm like what yeah I mean there's there's for weeks there's a few of movies that are like that but that was like the one that I kept thinking of I don't know why but it's the one that just kept coming to me with Kingdom of the spiders but it's it's that same kind of thing of like that one and then like you could say like any of those like not living dead not quite as as much as this one but but similar in a way

then you had you had other ones that were like that um like I think it's called The Blob you have they I think it's called they not they live which is similar but not not quite but the or them no it's um I think that's West Craven they live I think that's that's that one oh also I saw on Max it's there's one that's called I think it's maybe them yeah yeah it's them it's either them or they I can't remember but it's they it's another one of those monster if I remember correctly movie things I saw on Max not too long ago there's also tell the Body Snatchers that was around the same time the original not not the Remake the Remake has a more hopeful ending yeah the the original has a really really Downer of an ending I wonder how much of this has to do with the political culture at the time I mean you know coming out of the 70s into early 8s you know Cold War era you know lots of threats of nuclear war and just

lot of post-apocalyptic kind of things running through Hollywood I mean the 50s and the yeah 50s 607s Cold War you had a lot of the you had a lot of like unrest at the time Vietnam War you had um the atomic bombs so there was a lot of like mutation scares because of the the atomic bomb there's a lot going on and at the time and we're just getting out that and so things I think we're starting to get more hopeful turn by the time the movie came out time they decided to make changes I think they're like we're tired of all this D stuff like another movie we could take a look at if you want to take a look at some really D you should take a look at the original um seford wives oh yes that that one like haunts me original remake no the Remake is silly I was not expecting the ending I'm not going to spoil it but I was not expecting the ending okay for the original and scary oh I need to check that it's

terrifying yeah it's it's more existential than anything but it's still it's it's actually like the ramifications are terrifying we love exential me too speaking of which we don't have much on our upcoming schedule just yet so we definitely need some more scripts to read um we will be reading The Neverending Story um on the 21st and the 28 we'll split that bits I'm excited can't wait and then we'll take Anda if you have if you want suggestions and I have that oh absolutely love that movie I I I have such I we we should totally do it because I have so much to say about it it's one of my favorite Stephen King books at this point which one um I have Dr sleep it's the sequel to The Shining exactly we should find a shining script not Stanley kuer I think we should find at least for the miniseries actually that that was done we should the minies a made for TV miniseries that Stephen King directed and I I think it

does the book better more Justice uh personally I prefer it to Stan Kubrick's film but um just because because they get the characterizations of the characters better and Holleran doesn't die like he doesn't die in the book he didn't die he doesn't die in in the made for TV series and uh it just has a better representation in my opinion um I think I'm biased holl's like one of my favorite characters so but uh yeah that the sequel is so good it's my favorite yeah get us the scripts and we'll be happy to read those uh yeah and when I finish some of the scripts I I'll send them to you cat for reading we should maybe we should maybe put like a time limit as to when these script should be presented to us okay um right away so I don't forget tomorrow no that's too soon yeah we will because because I've only been here less than a year so I don't know which ones have been presented and which ones haven't so

that's it doesn't matter script anyways and decide I'll see what I can yeah I'll see what I can find and it's possible to do one twice um three years ago the very first was Casablanca and that's the first one that read with us so we decided to do it a second time uh and it was wonderful so I was I I really liked playing Rick he's pulled a special place in my heart now a I love cablanca there's another one go her love affair was perfect so it was it was so lovely this why we always get this is why we get paired for most of the love the romance now is I think it's because of that it works yeah it works so much fun I just utterly enjoy reading with you with you guys guys are awesome I love reading with all of you very very much and Jackie I loved your Louie oh thank thank you I'm I'm watching the um the series now and um one of my best friends I call her Lou and she calls me lat and it's just lovely I love

that I love the the series is so good I was not expecting it to be as good as it is it's fantastic um and I love the casting the casting is great actually I was more worried about the casting for leat than it was for Lou but because I was like oh it's him it's gr wor he's gonna be fantastic I'll don't have to worry he Nails it he Nails it so good it's fantastic nice so anyway I have to get going I have to run to the store before it closes so okay all right bye guys I'll see you oh yeah I will go and I cannot wait it's two weeks right foring story I think it's two weeks yeah take okay and you've already gotten all the casting for it you know who's going to do you I I haven't even digitized the script yet so still sitting on my my shelf so no we will cast it this Sunday before the Tuesday we do it probably I think I'll join I just I I'll probably have to be a little late like at 9:30 because I have a rehearsal until

it's just fantastic because it it's really funny anyway all right guys bye I was too young to remember Never Ending Story I watched all of them but I don't remember any of them because I was a child the horse uh nevering Story 2 was my first watch of nevering of the nevering story and then I saw nevering story I probably saw nevering story much earlier but I was too young to remember it but like nevering Story 2 is the first I saw and it really stuck in my mind um so I think I'm just kind of weirdly partial to it and then I watched then I got remembering Story one and just fell in love and then I I read the book and fell in love with it even more so I'm very partial to this movie I used the theme song um as the song the first time I auditioned for a musical and I got in it and it it was very popular at the time so that okay I'm really gonna go now guys bye bye let's all go I was just going to

say one last thing about the highly recommendations bye cat you can go or Aubrey I mean Aubrey you can go no no I'll listen to this and I then I have to run okay no just in terms of like um I I love most of Stephen Spielberg's stuff so I highly recommend any and all of his stuff like Salem's Lot is another one that's really good yeah there's like a TV show and movie and then there's like I love my favorite is the stand the stand is my favorite book of his but he has like a TV show and movies again of those what black man Randall flag O all of his stuff like has great character development so I just highly recommend Stephen Spielberg stuff for Stephen King not Spielberg steepen King I mean Stephen King sorry Spielberg is in my mind because we just talked about yeah there's also um I always can't remember the movie Encounters of the Third Kind we should definitely take a look at that one too speak Steven spilberg

great film encounters from of the Third Kind yeah okay anyway bye guys for real for real this time bye sayora I you to say and now I want a mountain of mashed potatoes oh good why mashed potatoes from um from the last movie that that was suggested C Richard D time yeah Richard D has sits and takes a mountain out of his potatoes and his wife wonders what's wrong with you he like I don't know yeah he needed to go to the mountain because that's where the Third Kind was all right it's a long time since I've seen this one I've never seen good to know it really helps being old like me and having an identic memory you just old I know I know like I'm only going to be 67 in a a couple of months so you're young you still got 40 years left absolutely I do yeah I just had a physical and my doctor who I've had for 50 years she said oh you almost are the 16-year-old that walked into my office 50 years

ago that's wild doctor wow how old is your doctor that's the question a good question and why isn't she retired yeah that's sad we try and figure it out sometimes and we're like okay so even if she had just graduated the same year you found her that would make her yeah she's got to be in her 80s for sure well yeah that's the 12 years of high school to high school four years of mid school at least four years of residency unless they changed General the rules it's the same here so yeah she's old and I'm not exactly you are still very young you know gosh still a lot of of years to go I think being sassy really helps agreed all about attitude so I keep trying to tell fun sassy and you know are important things that's right keeps you young well on that note until it gets dark I don't want it to oh gosh yes no I was just going to ask y'all if there are any movies or TV shows that you really want to do in

2025 there is one and that is the early early draft of Star Wars doesn't even have lukee Skywalker in it what I've got to copy that script somewhere I got to go dig it up wild and I want to do Big Trouble in Little China Big Trouble in Little China I've heard of that title before Kurt Russell okay I know and um Kim catrell she's really young in it yeah okay it's a good fun movie action Galore love that I just saw it recently again and it's like yes we must read this it's so much fun there's magic and yeah it's very cool and Macho men you know Kurt Russell as a truck driver and we should look for some more television episodes too some I have plenty of those if you need like um have twice as many films as television episodes oh yes oh I love and we should do the pilot for you you I've never watched you yet oh I things I think we actually already did the pilot for you yeah darn it so we'll do the second

episode no it's good I'm watching it with my daughter and uh not to be um a spoiler but uh it it's a series that teaches you how to love murderers you you can you completely say yes Joe there are people who deserve to die like Dexter Dexter is another one that people are like yes kill them I think we should also if I can find it the script for the wave um where our high school teacher teaches his that answers the question how in the world did you know Hitler come to power and the high school teacher conducts an experiment with his with his school students um you know starting very small with like picking an elite group of his kids to wear armbands for example you know and then you can see where this is going to go um and by the end of the thing you know he's got the entire High School convinced that they are part of a larger organization you know and then I won't reveal the ending but it's a way that he

just dis you know and it's based on a true story which is even more impressive that you know they're just so subtle about then the kids have no idea I mean they're studying history and it he manages to totally recreate um a cult of personality essentially with his kids and you know finally of course you know some kids will say hey Mr what's his name um you you got to stop this because people are getting beat up yeah and he's like I got it I got it don't worry you know but yeah it's a and I watched that and never forgot it ever so it's a quite relevant for our current uh era I think yes it is yeah I read I'm a Psychology major so I read all about that that experiment and a couple of others yeah we I have to look up to see if the scripts available but it's another one to to think about so and we read the pilot for only murders in the building but another later episode would be very cool to do

that's a really good series yeah that's one I haven't watched at all either Wonder seen hardly any new television series oh and the bear the bear another one great things is that a neish TV show I mean they're like I think third or fourth season in but you know relatively new yeah I'm only in the first season so for me it's very new all right we'll see find for scripts and Doctor Who we should definitely I have several Doctor Who episodes I love please send me some I'm a hoian I yeah me too I love love love the ones that like really the van Go episode oh that's my favorite I have it it's so good I'll send it to oh let's do that one I absolutely love it and then the one about his wife who the the machine right that one is beautiful too I'll send them all to you yes having the script it really puts the um the choice up closer to the top of the list I have yeah so many scripts because like since we've been doing this from

2020 like 2020 I I think I have hundreds so sometimes I just forget what scripts I have right so you like them on a Google drive or something no they're just all on my they're all in my documents so and I have an I have so many other documents like I have a million plays on my computer like just have a million of lots of things books I should organize them but that means taking hours out of my day to organize which I'm like never mind too many other things to do too exact exactly too many other things to do to organize you are very busy I thought I was the busiest person on the planet but I don't think I am I'm not the busiest person people think I am which is always ironic to me I got I got offered an improv gig today congrats it uh it's at a curling Bond spill and it's like what and I'd be alone improv is not that much fun alone and oh then I found out it's on the 21st and I said no no I am

reading The Neverending Story and uh and she said oh did I mention it's a breakfast thing and I went oh I'm actually shooting a yoga episode that morning so no but I do like making money you know foring that is like but yeah I turned it down not everything is meant to be done it's not it's not going to be that far into the future that I will have my yoga on a YouTube channel and people will actually be able to see it's been two and a half years from the beginning of me being approached by our public television network to do a yoga show and I went sure and then there was this Rogers takeover thing that took a year and he forgot who I was and he's like who are you and I said never mind I'm just an actress just never mind because I'd already started on my own and a year and a a year and a half later after that I realized even though we were shooting it wasn't getting attit and I went you know what why do we need

four cameras so that now we need to splice this together so my daughter's doing it on her phone one perspective and it's awesome it's gonna happen and we're not we don't have to wait for anybody exctly this is good so on my YouTube channel it will be yoga um my cooking show which is Savory mama and my art and my music so full meal deal let's go yeah I love that I'm excited about my life and I'm young so that's good I've got yes got 30 years to do yoga for the people well-rounded individual we love it I was wondering my phone kept beeping so much Jackie it's you sending me stuff I told you I'm like before I forget because I will forget like let me send you all not all I have a million bajillion that is awesome stuff cool yes I have a star I have Halloween yeah yeah yeah I have lots of Halloween okay that's one we would do in October yep we could do that five long it's not five vampire movies in a row no

we will vampire movies We're not gonna do that again vampires you're done with vampires but say not done with vampires we're not done with vampires we're just maybe not that many all in a row right or maybe you know Frankenstein something a little different than vampires I do love we should do Prejudice with zombies I still haven't watched that one have you not heard of that Vicki No it's with zombies it's fun that's what I've been told then I still haven't watched it well I do know zombies are fun so I believe mind this fun but you know yeah I love World War Z oh that's I don't know how good of a script it would be but I do love that movie and the book yeah it's interesting to see how much of these scripts we have are nothing like the movies you know so it depends totally on which draft you get um which is why it took forever to get never in story done because the only drafts I could find online were people who just

transcribed it from watching it and that's not very fun so um yeah I finally found an actual film script and so that took that took a lot that was the one you you actually purchased right yes I had to purchase that one purch you are I did and I got a signed copy too I mean it's the the signatures are photocopied you know someone has a signed copy they photocopied it in color though and they sent me the whole script really nicely bound up and everything so I have to unbind it to film it or photocopy it but wow but yeah it's it's it was a very nice script and he so ran wrap the whole thing and then put it between like cardboards so nothing Pages would get bent and and it wasn't very expensive it was you know like $225 so um you know to get an autograph copy of it so it was pretty pretty worthwhile um and you know I flip through it just to make sure it actually is a you know decent script and not a um you know

transcription or something so yeah because they they always find it so interesting I mean this script that we just read had so many action descriptions and very little dialogue which is typical for you know an action type movie because you have to describe all the action and other than you know massive screaming there isn't a lot to say um a lot of times but um you know sometimes the action descriptions are very very um they're they're more like reading an Audi book you know versus um they went here they did this now they're here now they're doing this you know which is this script was more like that in a lot of places you didn't get a lot of lot of re Revelation about the characters or the setting or anything else it was just they go here they go here they go here they go there it's very functional yeah and I noticed that too just in a way to you know it's just a subject verb direct object subject

verb direct object so it's very hard to read it like an audiobook there but I think it depends on the background of the script writer too whether you know where they're coming from so um this is a Chris Columbus play that script um that we read so I would like to you know see how because he's he's done some he's written some wonderful I should say they've made wonderful movies from his scripts I haven't seen his other scripts though to see how the movie compares to his script but the story in them are usually really good so yeah it was a um interesting to see you know just how simple but long the uh the actions and descriptions were in this one but that's the fun part of reading them out loud I guess it can be it can be yes it can be sometimes it can be really tedious to read the action descriptions but I think you have to lean into it yeah lean into it and like be one thing that I've like been telling

people when we do do these scripts where you have to read a lot is like pick up the pace do not cuz I I I do a lot of um table reads for actual films like that are going to be in production in in like the US especially and and every time somebody has to be the um the narrator or whatever I'm like please do not read this as if you have all the time in the world or else we'll be here for five hours right like that's and a small script like a 80 page script can last five hours when somebody's like and then the sheriff went into town and he opened the door and wanted and he was like please please this is beautiful reading but please yeah a little bit faster yeah oh gosh and a lot of people are very um hesitant like they're thinking it but but they don't say anything and I'm like please can we pick up the face I have to leave at x amount of time yeah yeah we don't have all day if you're actually filming it would make sense to

go through as quickly as you can because yeah you know the actors don't need to hear that story um did and the and the directors and the you know film crew whatever they just need to know where the shots are going yeah so I guess it depends on like the the script like The Princess Bride um the actions and descriptions are obviously meant to be read out loud the like an Audi book yeah you know they have a lot more um true storytelling storytelling behind the characters behind the setting you know it's he is telling a story yeah where this one it's just more profun pruner mhm so y let's surprised how quickly we got through the second half but I guess 114 Pages yeah so we did we did actually read about halfway through yeah yeah it went way smoother absolutely I was fast I like oh this and Matthew he did pretty good there was you know there was like three times you had to say Matthew that it's is

you yeah he did pretty good yep everyone did really really good so all right any other comments before we close out for the night so much all right well we'll see you hopefully in two weeks for Never Ending Story so I'm here I gave up a gig like I will be here you'll be here too that'd be awesome yes I will join after my rehearsal for sure yeah just remind me that you'll be here late so I don't put you in the first scene oh please unless you want me from my like you know from the car I won't be driving but like inside the car yeah no we will keep that in mind excellent okay bye-bye byebye good night love you both
