group all right so our story so far we start off the script with um Maloy or Malloy however you want to pronounce this name he's interviewing ly um and finding out all about Life as a vampire we find out of course that uh Louie was made a vampire by lat who in turn was made a vampire by I believe I'm correct Armand in France no Sano someone else somebody else anyways Magnus it's magas thank you my fault anyways uh lat has moved from Paris over to New Orleans New Orleans and um in the process of living there he and and Louie managed to uh bite and convert uh Claudia a very very young child whose mother was dying or dead um and so Claudia has grown up now to be a woman but she's still in the body of a very very small child which is very frustrating for her um we've also learned earlier that lot also managed to uh convert his own mother Gabrielle into a vampire but they are kind of a strange
right now so um I think that's about all you need to know to to jump into this we're going to start in the middle of uh New Orleans new New Orleans with um Claudia and lat and Louie all living in a very big mansion with a couple of servants so go ahead and share our screen they've just hired brand new servants and pay them more so they'll stay all right let's see 11 can we all do that yes okay so interior flat parlor another night the paintings have changed and some furniture Lou watches L go through a pile of books on the table may but she reads the things paas PL and marus what's the matter with Dickens or that wiy Goins yes and she reads her books faster than I can we in the St realize that Claudia has appeared in the door Claudia is dressed gorgeously in a violet dress with ribbons and silk flowers her hair is long and Shining she holds a big bouquet of PMS the St is alarmed Claudia

it it took long enough but we did it yay we started a little late too so we did we start pretty late Jackie your your Louis was just incredible oh thank you your accent was just I felt ter like my accent was like nothing compared to yours I mean French is my first language so oh okay was my accent okay then was it all right it okay there there are moments where I think I've got it and then there are moments where I'm like oh this is so terrible no no it was totally fine at Le you didn't dip into Scottish yeah I could hear it I could hear it yeah people are always like well your French is so and I'm like guys don't compare yourselves I'm French is my first language I'm a French teacher if my French is not on point it's a problem problem yeah I could tell that I I I could tell that you probably it was either your first or second language cuz it was it was impeccable it was beautiful though it
was just it was just beautiful so yeah yeah that's what I strive I strive to have that accent that level I've been practicing it for a long time but it is not nearly yet to that because there are times where I notice that like certain um syllables or like certain I'll I'll do a misstep on the where the syllables should be placed and stuff I'm still working on it so got you I got you and one trick is don't lean into the RS so much like a lot of people want to make those RS is really throaty really a lot of things and I'm always like actually that is the wrong Instinct because when you're you're trying to do that that Cadence and that pace you you mess it up because you're like stressing that are so Mar that makes sense I mean I I don't think I did it every time but there were times when I did do that and I was like [ __ ] I did it it made the RS too harsh yeah and a lot of people that's a misunderstanding
a lot of people think that the hars the need to be like rolling and really harsh and they don't always need to be like no it's rou but okay that's I've sung in French so I did learn how to dictate it like the diction in Singing in French not always speaking it's been a long practice so thank you I I appreciate that tip any I always prove it yeah it was it was just it was M chef's kiss it was was beautiful the whole thing the acting everything it was it was great yeah everyone was great yeah this this um this is um I wish we got the script the script is so good like I love this um draft I draft I love this draft um because it really shows the stats Humanity it shows the contrast between them and it shows that lat is actually not as like evil I don't know if that's the good word like he's complex and interesting and this is I mean this is it it's kind of giving you both the vampire Lista and
Lou it's kind of doing that kind of mix in between but it's it just it's really good it's just I really wish we got this version on screen it's such a different it's such a different movie I don't even remember to be honest I was like now I need to rewatch the movie cuz I I forget and look this is April 1992 it's the second draft so it's definitely not even shot numbers in this in the script yet so it's it's so different they cut so much from it and like everything is so subtle like all like there's it's just not the same movie it's not the same script it's crazy how how much like you could really change a script by or how much you can change a movie by how much you cut out of the scpt script and how much you can change oh and when I said it took us long enough I'm uh actually referencing the fact that we started this the first week in October the first Tuesday and we're finally finishing
it while yeah and my throat is like so sore right now I think I might be coming down with something I don't know but it it's so like it like as you're going through it my voice is like my throat is getting more and more like I don't know if you can hear the raspiness now cup of tea with honey I'm going to go do that after we're done um recording I but I I Adore the script I adore this movie in all its iterations regardless I just and I and I would recommend anyone for anyone who's watching to also go and watch the um the series it's actually very very good it's different but it's I I was impressed with it for as different as it is I think my background Series right yes not the movie was I could find on short notice but um yeah it's so close to the book too this script the script actually has a lot it has a lot from The Vampire Lista and from um in an interview with vampire with a Vampire uh I I thought it
was very very well done and it seems like this is probably the script that they decided to go with but modified it for this series cuz there's a lot in there that's like that they reference in the series which is really interesting I loved how um when the Walkman was brought to him that he was singing and dancing which is foreshadowing the Damned because that's he becomes a big rock star and Andes get all mad at him because he he explains all their weaknesses it's really funny to be yeah yeah you go with yourself you go with your bad self list that I if you watch just the movie like he has not portrayed this way at all not really like I I'm glad that we get to see a lot more of his Humanity in this in this draft Humanity as much as Humanity as you can have as a vampire if you understand what I mean yes in the second half having broken it up into two sections you can really see that that whole tone has changed from
you know at the from the beginning you know in the beginning there was more exploring and and learning about vampires and you know for the audience especially too you're just kind of you know you have all these myths and preconceptions of what vampires are like from all the other previous vampire movies and this one you know part of the beginning is blowing that conception out of the water then you get to the second half and it just turns much much darker I mean not the the beginning isn't dark that this is the second half is definitely darker than the first half how did you feel about it um Jackie oh I I enjoyed it it was very um like I've watched the movie a long long time ago so I don't remember and I used to read the books by anr when I was teenager so it was good to revisit um the second half and I remember a lot of Louie of Lewis actually and I think it's funny because I think Brad Pit did not
play this well they probably didn't have any french like people to help them with the accents CU I don't remember him that accent is is it's not it's well I mean it's probably closer to a New Orleans um French accent which is I mean it's very slight but it is there I'm certain he had somebody to help him with some but not to the near extent that it is now or that it was anywhere good and thead it's like he almost has none it's it there are when he gets some French but like it's so subtle yeah I mean he betrays him really well as what they give him but the French accent is so not there not not as it is and I don't remember at all the part in like Paris I was like oh oh does that happen I need to rewatch this this is fun I haven't seen it there so in the book it's there but in you don't see listat at all at all in Paris um it it's almost like it comes out of left field like you don't understand anything what's going
on and why they capture her anything like you're just like what the hell what's going what's going on kind of thing and um it's very traumatic actually the whole scene is so traumatic and who's this golden angel vampire that's I remember thinking that where did he come from yeah it's yeah he's like this golden angel that yeah no I mean Armand yeah yeah yeah well um I am running out of energy I know me too I'm getting better but yeah this I'm going to sleep well tonight I am so glad you came um Vicki it was so nice to you I missed you last week yeah I wish I was there but oh boy I couldn't even think on Thursday I had this headache that was about this big just oh horrible I'm so sorry let me take a quick look and see what's up next here then ah yes because we do have a reading this coming Tuesday think so yeah hopefully my throat will be much better by then I do not know why I'm having such a sore throat right now
it hurts to swallow I had that a couple of months ago so I feel you lots of oh I sing I have to sing tomorrow so I'm like oh crap gosh rest your throat stop talking we have it looks like we have oh a television episode we're going to read Ozark oh Ozark okay awesome I don't know anything about it it's just and then part two of Dracula will finish up on the 26th and then we hit December with Forest Gump which we can divide into two days if we need to and that should take out looks like through the end of the year and then we'll start back again in um the 21st of January so we'll take a bit of a break for winner and come back with Never Ending Story oh love never ending I know me too it's amazing we tried three times this year to read it and so far the script that you did have was not good oh it was awful but now actual real script so it's it was I think it was somebody had just written all the
dialogue yeah a transcription yeah transcription and it it does not give any it was not no actions or descriptions it's not no so it's not good go not of any fault of cats she worked so hard to find one and she did her dual due diligence and she ordered one oh wow with the it costs money that's wild you could have asked me maybe I even have it I don't even know I should check I have so many scripts this is so hard to find but yeah I finally found one and it's got a it's got a photocopy in color of all the actor's signatures and stuff on the covers that's amazing oh that's so cool I Jackie I hope you come back I hope to see you again I'm sure you've been here before I just I think I have I just oh wait I do have a NeverEnding Story let me see I have a digital script oh it's probably what you were talking about which just yeah 81 pages and it's just dialogue yeah that's the one that's the
