Good morning. It's the It's Jackson Claude and we're your host. It's your favorite show. The best five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast. They sound amazing. Welcome back to the toast and happy Tuesday. I hope everybody's having a day that is both pargelicious and definitionious. And speaking of pargiliciousness and defiliciousness, I am honored, humbled to introduce today's guest, Jacqueline Fo. Hello, Jacle. Welcome to the show.

Hey, Ty Lou. Happy to be here. Okay, Cable Nit. Okay, Stripes. Oh, I'm so glad you brought out my shirt. And I didn't bring up your shirt just to talk about my shirt. Don't you feel like everybody's talking about my shirt today?

We're definitely all noticing that you're wearing uh what seems to be a new shirt. I'm not going to presume. Now, I'm sorry to the cardboard cadets. This is not from Nordstromrack, but my cardboard cadets will be pleased to know this shirt is also under $50. I went to Mango. Mango's so like having a moment at the mall. I went to Mango and I just like tried on a couple of things. Now, I want to shout out Mango for having reasonably priced clothing that is not ugly. I think that's important. But I I do want to just sort of like

tell Mango like small, medium, large, like that's crazy. That's crazy. Small, medium, large, you know, like what about other sizes outside of that? So yeah, the shirt's a little tight, but like I just needed shirts and so I went to go.

It fit. Sometimes when you go too big, you get that bulk here. That's what I'm dealing with. Like I want bigger sizes, but I I don't want extra bulk here.

There's nothing better than a big shirt. Do you know what I mean? A shirt. Yes. But that if it were too big would not be good. I think it looks nice on you.

Thank you. So I do feel like everyone's kind of talking about my new shirt. Well, we're excited that you have a new shirt and that you're feeling coochie self.

Yeah. And I went to the mall and it's just malls are amazing. They are. Oh my goodness.

It's really sad what's happened to them. So you like they're a thing of the past, right? Like they're sort of phasing out.

Yeah. Especially like traditional malls now. Like your mall has to be like rattata like a theme park.

Yeah. Yeah. Like the American Dream Mall. Like it has a water slide and Legoland and it's also a mall.

And even American Dream I think suffers. I think American Dream is like in financial ruin.

I think they suffer in silence. I I think they put on a struggle. I feel like it's quite loud. I feel like we're always hearing about how the the New Jersey um whatever it's called, American Dream Mall is like in financial despair. The people who build it like are living in poverty. Like there's always like stories about that mall.

No, I feel like they put on a brave face. They're always sending out emails about what Spongebob is doing. And

Mr. Beast recorded like a huge video there. They act like nothing's wrong, but I think they're suffering.

Yeah. I mean, I for one am glad I didn't like ever get into the mall business, but as a mall patron, I went to the mall like um over the weekend and I just had such an amazing time. And Ben was sort of striking out like every store we went to, he just didn't want it that badly, you know? Like I was Sometimes you have to go to the mall like with a mission. And I went to the mall with a mission. I'm like I'm not trying things on like if it looks like it fits, it will fit. Um I went to Mango, I went to Aloe, like I went to a couple of stores just to get like toast clothing and I crushed it.

Like every store I I got close at Tommy Bahama, okay? I was crushing it. And Ben was just like they like don't know my size. I just I was like I feel like you don't want it bad enough. Like he was being such like a sour puss. He didn't want

mall brands my sweater today. Airy. Okay. I walked into um I feel like people would would be shocked that

I walked into an airy airy. And I think it was gifted like a year ago and it I wore it like all last winter.

You know what they call that sweater? Cable knit. Well, technically yes, but you know what other people call it?

It's the Rory Gilmore sweater. Oh, cute. Mhm. Um and then I forgot that I had it, but it's been so chilly down here that um I'm excited to be wearing it today. It's a great sweater.

It's You look beautiful. Thank you. As do you. Dazzling. You know what I did last night? I did something crazy.

Crack. Crazier. Meth. Crazier. I took a bath. Oh my god, that is really crazy of you because I also took a bath, but that's sort of like a nightly occurrence. I haven't taken a bath,

you guys. Jackie has this amazing bath that's in the corner. It's by a window. There's art over it. It has multiple faucets. She never uses it. I've probably used your bath just as many times as you have.

Probably. I haven't taken a bath certainly in over a year because I didn't take one

while I was pregnant and I didn't take one since I've given birth cuz I only went to my six week 10e appointment last week. Um, but last like my body is just like we hurting like aching almost time for a bath.

Body aches but I don't have the rest of a sickness. I feel like I'm fighting something off but it's it's taking a toll on my joints.

So you had to take it to the bath. So I was like, "Oh my god, I need a soak." So I took a bath.

Did you wet your hair now? No, no, no. Wetting your washing your hair is for the shower. That's an Olympic sport. Washing your hair in the tub. Especially I take a really hot bath. So when I get up, you get like dizzy when you get out of the bath. I need to then lay down.

Quite literally. Victorian woman, you are not built for this time. Yeah. So whereas Jackie, she couldn't make it to dinner. She had taken a warm bath.

My bath was too hot. Like that's literally like what happens in those shows like the Empress.

Yes. Exactly. She gets like woozy or like you know when like a woman's like outside, they're like, "Are you okay?"

Yeah. That's you. But I enjoyed my bath. My yearly bath. I'll see you again next year. Bath. I can't even picture you in the bath.

And it's like, what do you really do? And every time I'm in the bath, I need one of those pillows that I see get Instagram ads for Yeah. that like prop up my back because what? I'm going to lay with my neck on the ledge like I'm washing my hair at the salon.

So, when you do take a bath and you commit to not wetting your hair, it's definitely less relaxing cuz just being able to lean back and get your hair wet is very relaxing. I got one actually Taylor Streker got me one of those pillows for my birthday cuz she had one in her house and I was like, "Wait, that's amazing." She got me one. Um, I have to tell you, and shout out to Taylor. It was an amazing gift for like two months. It became such a chore. First of all, it became smelly. And once it became smelly, I got rid of it. But like, you really, in order to properly take care of it, like need to take it out of the bath every time you use it and air dry it. And I was like,

but when it was in the bath, did it do what you needed it to do? No, because the pillow itself like does get a little wet. So, if you really lean back on it fully, like your hair gets wet.

Oh, but take that out. Like, was it cozy? Yes. So, maybe I should get one for my yearly bath. It has a year to to dry.

Yeah, but you're going to put it outside and like it's this big heavy soaking wet thing.

Oh, yeah. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Sorry, Taylor. And I know it's expensive too.

Well, that was It's the thought that counts. A a very good gift. Yeah. She spoke to the Shrekers this morning.

How are they doing? Shreker. They're doing amazing. Like, they're loving every minute. Taylor Shreker keeps calling herself dad, which is cracking me up. Um, and they actually said, I don't want to spoil because they're probably going to talk about it on their podcast about the birth certificate. They have to get it. Like, there's an error on it. It says cuz because they're two women, it says parent one and parent two. And then when they printed it, it said mom and dad. It actually says dad on there, which it can't be like it has to like legally be correct. So, she's calling herself dad.

And it's so funny cuz she was dad and she has taken on this sort of fatherly role. She spoke a lot um when I was on her podcast and just in her podcast in general about how she was struggling with that identity, but she's lean like she is dad. Like she's dad. She's literally about to get a tool belt. Like she's dad. It's hilarious. And she's like doing night feedings cuz she's the dad, you Oh, that's funny. She's on diaper duty.

Dad. Dad stuff. Hysterical stuff. I also have a newborn who eats every 3 hours again.

Oh, yeah. But you actually do have a newborn. He's only like 11 weeks old. Yeah, he is. Well,

how old is he? Um I Let me guess. Let me guess. 14 weeks. No, less. I think he's 12 weeks.

And you know, it's confusing because I feel like my whole life I've been told that there's four weeks in a month and then you have a four-week old, but you don't have a one-mon-old. Well, it's funny you bring that up because I don't know if you've seen the stats on this February.

Oh, is it a historic February? Look at the calendar. Oh, is it full four weeks?

It's blocks. Oh, I like that. And you know, because it's 28 days. That's how the month should look.

I completely agree. Whoever Now that's a month. That's a month. That's you know, it's giving month.

Yeah. It's like every week is Monday to Sunday, Monday to Sunday, Monday to Sunday.

The first is a Sunday and then the last day of the month is the Saturday. I love that. It's a beautiful month. Enjoy it everyone.

I didn't even much like Cynthia Revo, I did not know that was happening. For those of us who are into months, it's major news.

I feel like this is big news for people with planners. It is. And then March 1st will start on a Sunday. So that looks nice up until the three straggler days.

That's nice. I like that. Yeah. So if you're I actually want to get out my big calendar. We've been making so many plans. You saw just what I showed you my phone. It looked very busy, right? I feel like you should talk about how your life is so enriched since I like decided not to leave. Why don't you talk about that?

Oh, my life is so enriched. I'm so busy. Zach is like, "Is this going to be like an every oh, like is this your new schedule now?"

We were just talking about maybe we were going to go shopping today. And I was like, "Well, while Claudia is here." Yeah. We just have like so many things to do. So much fun to be had.

I just want to make sure I'm not overwhelming you cuz you do still have like, you know, a newborn in

No, like I'm definitely overwhelmed, but I think that it's good for me. Me, too.

Um I did say like my bones feel weary. you've run me down so much I had to take a bath.

But um I think overall it's really good. I'm having a really good time and and you just let me know if you need us to scale it back. We can also do like more lowkey activities like we can just also like lay around your house. That's

going to the mall with the babies like is a good activity for me because like I'm with my baby and we are doing something for us.

I love that. Yeah. No, I'm definitely overwhelmed, but I think like busy is good.

Yeah. And it's just like crazy how I literally conileles for three months after I had Harry. Like I did not leave the house. The first time my big outing was your show at MSG and that was in May.

Oh wow. I don't know if I realized that. My big night was also like a big night for you.

It was a big I remember I was like I took my pumps out now. I would be like I'm going out for a few hours. I'll skip a pump.

Yeah, of course. I had Harry in February and that was my big was May. And like then I remember with Charlie like that was when I started using the baby carrier more cuz like you have a child you have to get you can't handle just be home. And now it's like I like really the bubble is bursting.

I feel like it makes it go by a little faster like the hard part. It does but you also want to soak it up. I know.

It's a it's an the eternal conflict. Age old age dilemma. I try and soak up as much as I can. Then I'm like mama's got to go.

And he's coming with. Yeah. Of course he's coming with. We got a carrier in every color.

Okay. match the outfit. I'm glad that like we're having fun. We are having fun.

I will go home when we stop having fun. I think that's like a good But we'll never

But then you'll never come back. No, but we'll we also we never stop having fun.

That's true. So, I guess I'll never go home. But also, if you wait till like you hate me, then you'll never come back. You have to leave on a high.

Well, that is what I do. I I But that also happened when I was staying at your house. Like, now that we're in our own little place, like it's better. When I was staying at your house, I would stay until like I actually could not stand you or your family and then I wouldn't come back for months because I was like, I can't stand these people still,

right? So maybe leave on a high. Should I go home today? No, we have friends. No, you hear they're not taking out the trash in New York. I was just talking to

your friends. Who's they talking to? I talked to a lot of people this morning. I was like rolling sound like it.

Yeah, shout out to Alicia. I had to check in on my bestie who just had a baby. Had to check in on those truckers. Um it's important to check in on people, you know. Um and I heard about the garbage pickup. Um garbage hasn't been picked up in New York and I think in like 10 days. So the streets are covered in ice and garbage. I I ain't running home.

I ain't running home. No, you're needed here. We've got we've got plans. I mean, look at me like I'm kind of like kind of like the social chair of South Florida. I'm like constant like should we go to dinner? I was actually thinking we should go out to dinner this week.

Oh, you do girls or couples? Okay. So, I'm actually glad you brought that up because I was thinking we should do couples cuz like as my I'm like every day I'm like Ben, I'm going here. I'm going there. I'm like doing a lot of things and he's kind of like being like a like a house fra. So, I want to get Ben out of the house. We have we have reverse roles.

You want to get Ben out of the house? Yeah, I want to get Ben out of the house. So I was like, "Okay, maybe we go with husbands." And then it's just like a reservation for like eight people. It's like so many people.

And then you also have to get a sitter. Like I like girls because I was just going to drop my kids at your house.

Oh yeah. Then I But like then my husband's home and like I feel I can really enjoy myself. I feel like that's what we always suggest under Toasters. And it's like I don't Sorry, Zach, but like this is how I can like have more fun.

I totally agree. And it's not because I need to be just with the girls, but it's like I I don't want to deal like the deal with all that.

Yes. No, the best feeling is like going and having fun while your husband is home. I know that's mean, but like with the baby like no one the only the best thing after me is him.

Yeah. Yeah. No, I totally agree. So like you really have peace of mind. Okay, so I'll go to a girl dinner. That's my arm.

Sounds good. But then every time I got I went out at night twice last week and I was like this is not for me.

I actually agree. Catch me during the day. I don't love going out at night. Me neither. But I do want to go out to dinner. Maybe when it's almost daylight savings, like in a month

and then it will start to be lighter later and maybe then going out to dinner will feel better. It won't be like pitch black

if I'm still here. Well, oh true. Yeah, you're making big plans. Like slow down.

No, but CL you have to say for daylight savings. It's the best. It's true. It really is so impactful here. Like when we get more daylight because we can really use it cuz the weather is good. You'll love

You know what it sounds like you've been doing? Making big big plans. You're You are so close. Praying for daylight. You were so close.

Yeah. Yeah. Praying for daylight in Rascal Flats. Oh my god. Yes. That So, we are going to the Rascal Flats concert and that is technically why I am still here cuz I was not coming back. Um, so we'll re-evaluate after Rascal Flats.

They better put on a heck of a show. Oh my god. We got to talk about that too. Talk about this. Okay. So, I'm not worried. Rasco Flats. Gary Lox is going viral singer of Rascal Flats

for one of his performances. Uh someone like filmed him and posted it and they said he was like hooting and hollering.

Has anybody been to Rascal Flats concert recently? Cuz he's just up there hooting and hollering

and he was like off key and all over the place and it was a mess. Um I watched the videos and I can confirm it was messy. However, like I give him grace.

There's no question. There's no doubt that he is the most talented vocalist. If something happened that night to throw him off, whether it was the drink, whether it was the audio Alex Warren style like

that's not Gary self. It's annoying that like Gary's bad night gets so much PR when like Gary has night after night. Margot just went like he crushes it every single time. Now we are going

so true. That's such a negative society we live in. If he doesn't, they get no like positive accolades. Yeah.

For what he does night after night. and he slays. And the one time he's I I can't even say what was happening.

Yeah. He was just like the thing is he's been singing these songs for 30 years. Like sorry he tried something different. Like don't make fun of the girl who took a chance, you know,

but like he always he always riffs and he's like and it's partition. He was he was challenging himself creatively.

He was just off. I think he couldn't hear or he was drunk. Let's just say. And you know what? Like you would do it too if you're toying with the same band singing the same song for like 50 years. If my life was listening to Rascal Flats like all day every day.

I don't know if you would feel that way if you were Rascal Flats though. That must be how people feel maybe about the toast.

No, no, no, no. Don't think Rascal's problem or problem. No, no. If people like I am Terrascal Flats, but the toasters are to the toast.

Yeah, it's called a fan. I feel like you didn't understand what I was saying. I just do. While we're on the topic, I have two requests for Rascal Flats and I do know that people in the Rascal Flats orbit like listens to the show. So, we are coming to the show and I need you to do two things for me.

We're coming to the show. We don't even have tickets yet. Like, please. Oh, for Sorry, I need you to do three things for me. I need tickets

and we want we'll we want We want front row tickets. We want tickets and we're a big group. That's the problem.

Yeah, we need 10 front row tickets and like there's not 10 empty seats right now.

It's kind of like the age-old question like we should leave the husbands at home except that it's Valentine's Day. Yeah.

So, yeah. No. And I turned Zack into the biggest Rascal Flats fan. He's not staying home.

Ben could stay home. Honestly, he's like, I'll go like for you. But, okay. So, I need three things. I need for 10 for her tickets.

I need you to um add one song to your set list, just like a special one night only, How They Remember You. That is my favorite Rascal Flat song. So, if you guys could do that, that would be great. And then third, this is just like a general overall thing that Gary does. I really need him to stop doing. I watch every video. Every time I get Rascal Flats live performance comes up on my TikTok, like I'm sad. And he does this thing that a lot of performers do, and it is my biggest pet peeve. Like when you get to the best part of the song, like don't give us the microphone. Keep it to yourself. Like life is a stop. It's so annoying. Like the best parts of the song you don't hear cuz like the crowd is singing it. Please. I I really don't like that. Gary, please stop doing that.

And I will just take whatever show that you have to give me. Even if it is a bunch of hooting and hollering.

Even if it is. I wouldn't even realize you're in the presence of greatness. Like that [ __ ] ingrate who exposed him.

Oh yeah. Well, she's on a real flatista. Oh yeah. What's her name? I don't know. The rascal little rascals.

The little rascals. The rascalas. I like rascalitas. Me, too. Okay. Rascalas flat.

Flatistas. Well, that's going to be fun. Oh, we're called I know what we're called. Sorry. We're flat earthers.

Okay. The flats. What if they rebranded the flats? I like it. That is a cute name.

I mean, their name is everything. Yeah. Yeah. So they can't, but it's like how Lady Antabellum became Lady A. Rascal Flats become

No, the Dixie Chicks became the chicks. It's really more so. Yeah. Thanks. Yeah.

Once again, like destroying all my calls. Uh, no. But I also remembered another call that I made. Not the one that we remember because there was two people like from our personal life that you guys wouldn't even care. But I was thinking of another call.

It wasn't Hannah Justin. I was watching Shark Tank last night. Robert Hurge. Mhm. is the judge equivalent to Derek Huff for you.

It's You liked it when I made it. You said that to me already. Yeah. No, you didn't. That's the first time I

dancing when we were recapping Dancing with the Stars and I was like I liked Ter. You're like Yeah. And I was like I feel like for you he's like the Robert Herik of Dancing with the Stars.

Oh, okay. Then did I like it then? Yeah. You love it. Okay. Okay. So, good call. Good call.

Today's episode is very wonderful. Good. Our first story is some really crazy news. Yes.

Um, the search for Savannah Guthri's mother, Nancy, is a race against time, says the sheriff. So, Savannah Guthri's mother has been missing for 48 hours. Um the

She was last seen Saturday night, right? Yeah. She was last seen Saturday night. She was reported missing Sunday morning when she didn't show up to church. And now it is a missing person's investigation. The investigators have said that they believe that she was abducted from her home, that there was a fight. She did not leave.

There was blood and the house is now a crime scene. The house is a crime scene. They believe she did not leave willingly.

Um I think a lot of times when an elderly person disappears, they'll like chalk it up to, you know, cognitive issues. You know, people who are elderly are often found like wandering. Um but it was very clear from the beginning like no, she was like snatched.

Yeah. And like I I I was talking about this with somebody yesterday. I was like, "So, was she like kidnapped?" And you don't ever really use the word kidnap for an old, right? Um because this just like doesn't happen. It's so evil.

Yeah. It's a really crazy upsetting story. Um and she also has health issues. So, she takes a daily medication

that if she doesn't take could be fatal for her, right? So, it's like very high stakes.

Yeah. Savannah Guthrie posted on Instagram this morning like um please send prayers. I think she was supposed to head to

the Olympics. The Olympics in Milan. She's obviously not going. What a weird spooky story.

Yeah. A nightmare. A nightmare. Yeah. So, more like there's not a lot of details that have come out, but I think also like the police department don't want to share. If they have a suspect in mind, they don't want to let them know like what we know.

Like what sort of enemies does an old lady who goes to church have? She was on Saturday night with her kids. Sunday morning church.

She's playing maong Saturday night. You're kidding. I just saw that in the Daily Mail.

Like, couldn't have been more wholesome. Who is targeting this woman? I don't know.

Like seriously, it's the craziest story. She lived in a very affluent community where there should be like security cameras. We've not seen any security footage. I mean,

I heard that her home did not have a lot of security except there were a couple of cameras outside that they're working on getting access to, but like it wasn't a hot, you know, hotwired secure,

but like the front door was unlocked, but there was like signs of force century. All the common areas lights were left on. So, it's a very like it's a confusing situation. No one knows what happened.

So sad. Yeah. Like I think like every like person's worst nightmare. Yeah. I hope that they get some answers soon.

I know. I hope she's okay. Yeah. What the [ __ ] I don't know. So, what like a crazy

crazy story. Yeah. Praying for Yeah. Praying for her. Um our next story, some talk show news. Clarkson confirms that her talk show will end after seven years. She seven seasons. She said, "This is not an easy decision." So, Kelly posted yesterday, "I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an instanding group of people at TKCS, the Kelly Clarkson Show, both in LA and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons. I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans.

Because of all of that, this was not an easy decision, but this season will be my last. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. This isn't goodbye. I'll still be making music, playing shows here and there. That sounds like I didn't think that you wouldn't be.

Oh, I thought that the here and there was like don't get too excited and you may catch me on the voice from time to time. You never know where I might show up next. It's giving I just think like she didn't have to do this forever. So if she's closing this chapter, like of course you go back to music, you go back to everything else you were doing, but like the fact that she's reassuring us that she'll be making music and performing here and there,

right? So I think given everything that Kelly has been through, like it's not shocking at all that her show is coming to an end. Um she should prioritize what she wants to prioritize. However, I feel like this is just based off of a feeling like no proof that she's kind of been over it for for some time and like she's ending it more so because of that. like if she really loved it and wanted to keep going like you know you can find a way to balance family and everything. I just feel like it was time for her in addition to all the things that she's been through.

Yeah. I don't know that she's over it, but I think a job like that you have to give so much of yourself and it's very like depleting on like your battery and I think she wants to give all of that at home and not have to show up every day rattata like when you're not feeling that way every day. It's also an amazing way to go out. Like I think you

even she's, you know, the biggest and baddest in daytime, but like that might not have been the case forever. And there's nothing worse than like ending your show cuz like the ratings stink. Like to go out on top after seven very successful seasons and we are getting one more season which means we'll probably get like a fabulous final season with lots of like Kelly content. It's good. I I'm not displeased. And I do feel like while I love the Kelly Clarkson show and I love what it's done for her, I feel like Kelly was huge for her Q score rating amongst a new generation of listeners, I wasn't like watching it a lot. Like I do I'd rather her go on tour.

I'd rather get music from her. I agree. Yeah, I do feel like it hindered her other projects and so there was a time and space for it. But I'm kind of thrilled that we're going to go back to the OG Kelly,

but I don't know why she said it like that, playing shows here and there. Unless that was like meant to like be an Easter egg for something. No, I feel like she's really not going to be doing a lot after this. Like it's easy to release music. It's easy to go on The Voice. Like, you know, you stay in one place, but to tour, especially if she's like really is prioritizing family, like being like, "Yeah, I'll release new music, but don't expect me to go on like a 50 city tour."

That's fine by me. Just New York or like Vegas. We'll come destination. Yeah, we'll travel. We'll travel for Kelly.

She's on the short list of people I'll travel for. Oh, who's on the list? Bras Flats,

of course. Kelly Clarkson. I would travel for Luke. Luke. Um, would you travel for Taylor?

Uh, no. Bruno. Bruno. Mars. But like I I think that's it. You said it was a short list.

Yeah. Four. Four. That's a good list. Yeah. What about you? I would travel for I mean I have traveled for Luke. I have traveled for Taylor. I have traveled for Rascal. I'm aligned.

Mhm. Like once in like like shows that like I would travel for One Republic. Did we see them?

We did. We traveled to New Jersey. We traveled to New Jersey. That's not really travel. Um and I would also travel for um the Goooo Dolls.

I've seen them. Me too. Beautiful. Like genuinely amazing performers. Ecstasy is all you need. Living in the big machine now. I don't know what the hell they're saying in any of their songs now. Your world is way too fast and nothing's real and nothing lasts. We're all alive. Like I don't even know what the hell he's saying.

You know, Charlie Puth was on um this Rolling Stone podcast and I don't know why I saw so many clips of it. Um, maybe because the person asking questions like was actually asking good questions and Charlie was actually giving insightful answers and he is really widely regarded.

Charlie Puth is a Charlie. I didn't realize Charlie Puth was a Charlie either. You know, I love a Charlie.

I do know that. I love a Charlie, too. I've actually been loving Charlie Puth more. You know,

good namesake for your son. Yeah, I love that. And I'm excited for his national anthem coming up.

Yes. Well, Charlie Puth was asked because he is widely regarded as one of like the greatest songwriters.

One of the greatest Charlie that too. Actually, no, he doesn't even compare to our Charlie. One of the greatest songwriters of our generation. And he was like, "What do you think are like five of the best written, most perfect songs?" And he said a couple I don't remember, but I was struck that he said Iris by the Goooo Dolls. Like that's someone who knows real music.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I want to know the other ones. I'll find him. He really does know real music.

Yes. and he knows like when a song is written well. He should do a master class on songwriting. Like that's his skill. I don't know that he's like always the best celebrity. You know, people like to clown on him.

Uhhuh. Okay. Maybe Taylor was really like being earnest when she said he was underrated.

I do think she was being earnest. Like his musical capabilities are so impressive, but he's not the biggest star.

Yeah, that's he's not meant for like stardom. Um, M&M's, Real, Slim, Shady. Okay.

Notorious. It was very all over. Notorious V.I. Juicy. Okay. They're making me watch the clip. Like, I seriously can't. I guess we're watching.

Oh, okay. Charlie Puth. Five greatest songs ever written and recorded. See by Notorious B.I. Don't want to miss a thing by Aerosmith, written by Diane Warren. I think raindrops keep falling on my head by Bert Bakarak.

Wow. I'm just taking a second cuz I know the internet lives forever. I think uh when I heard the real slim shady produced by Dr. Dre,

the snare drum blew me away on that. And probably Iris by the Goooo Dolls. Wow. It's so subjective. And I'm sure I didn't even mention a James Taylor song. So if I were to do an honorary mention, I'd say something in the way she moves.

Okay. Okay. Charlie. Yeah. No, like Taylor Swift was on to something, you know.

I agree. Yeah, he's a cutie. Yeah, he is. Oh, are we talking about the Charlie XCX smart list thing?

We are. Okay. Do you want to do that next? I do because I have thoughts and I think it's funny.

Um, so Smart List is getting cancelled. Smartless is over party. And it's shockingly not by us. And I'm actually kind of going to defend Smartless really quickly.

No, they're not. They're getting a little bit of backlash. Jason Baitman specifically after pressing Charlie X on why she doesn't want to have children. So

So I heard like a transcription of the, you know, I read some comments people being like, "Claudia never lets Jackie finish the story." And you know what? Like Sorry.

Okay. Yeah. Let me just give the other people like the information if they if they're not as online.

And this is me taking constructive criticism. Like I agree with you guys, but don't get like ahead of yourselves. That's all that's all the constructive I'll take for the year.

Charlie XCX went on Smart List as one does. And at one point they're talking about Charlie growing up as an only child. And Jason then asks her if that influences how many kids she wants to have, wondering if she wants to have more than one kid or maybe one who has the same sort of experience that she did. In response, she said, "I actually don't want to have kids." Shawn chimed in immediately to ask her, "You don't? Wait, why?" Though a few seconds later, he followed up with, "It's none of my business. It's so PC."

Then Charlie responded thoughtfully saying, "She likes the quote fantasy of having a child. Like naming it. It sounds so fun, but like that is exactly a sign to me why I should not have one. The fact that that feels like the coolest part about it, and like maybe I'm not ready, you know?" However, from there, things got awkward as Jason started telling a story about his own wife Amanda supposedly.

So tycoated, by the way, telling his own story. didn't want children before she met him and now they have two daughters. He suggests that she might find somebody who will change her mind, too. To which she replied, "Well, I'm married." Um, he then joked that he needed to read a newspaper and then he followed up with another joke saying that maybe she'll want a kid with her next husband.

Yeah. Okay. So, I read like a transcription or like a someone paraphrasing it and I was like, "Yes." I listened to it and it actually wasn't that bad. I feel like she's not easily offended and it was like a very honest conversation. Like I I actually really liked her take being like the thing that excites me most about having a baby is being able to name it. Like I feel like that's a good indicator that maybe I'm not like like I shouldn't have kids. And like I I I thought the whole conversation like sounded worse than it was. And yes, like uh at a glance like three men pestering a woman why she doesn't want to have kids. Sure. But like I don't know. I thought it was a funny thing. I did not think it was weird and I didn't think she was offended either.

Yeah. And isn't the whole concept of smart list, I've quite literally never heard an episode that one of them chooses a guest and surprises the other. So like Jason should it's like well Jason should have done his research. Isn't that the whole thing?

The whole point. Yeah. Do they still do that? I think so. That's what they did in the documentary and that's as far as my smart list knowledge goes. But also like this is just conversation, you know, and it's and it's meant to be like deep and those are big questions to ask and if she certainly because she wasn't offended, I don't think anybody should be offended. And if she was, I do think they would have probably cut it out. Although, there is a part where I feel like they edited it. You can hear like a little cut.

Oh, interesting. But I I don't know. I just You can't like walk on eggshells. Like, and it's a fair like if you're talking about

how you grew up like those are normal. If you're too scared to ask a question, like seriously,

don't have a podcast. I completely agree. And I think the context of what they were talking about before was also left out when this thing went viral. Um because it is important. She was talking about being an only child.

Yeah. So, and I feel like a good question to ask an only child is like, is that what you want for your kids or do you want like that experience and you want to have like people ask us that coming from a big family all the time like

I was talking about that with making [ __ ] conversations with Josh Peek. He was an only child and now he has this huge family like we talked about on the podcast. So, I don't think it's a weird question. I don't think she was offended by it at all. I think like keyboard warriors are and like don't ever put me in a position where I have to defend Smartless again. Okay.

Yeah. and and Charlie XTX cuz there are like things that cancelled uh Smart List should be canceled for and this ain't it.

Yeah. Like being on top of the charts above us all the time. Like that's a cancelable.

Disgusting. They're keeping women down. Silencing women. They're silencing women. And I'm defending Charlie XX2. You see how I did that.

I see how you did that. So don't say that I didn't. Nobody said that. Nobody would ever say that.

It's like such a silly story and people are really reaching. I agree. Although I am excited. Like I don't know what I don't know that these three know what it's like to like have the internet at their ars.

But I don't really think this is going to reach a level that will even reach them in any meaningful way. Like it's not serious. No.

Even though just Jared wrote it up. But I do think that like men podcasters have this a lot less

than female podcasters. Like the accountability police is just a it's definitely a women's issue. So nobody really cares like when a man says something on his podcast. But I also feel like, and I've not listened to an episode, so this is just me taking a shot in the dark. I feel like Smart List doesn't really go there. Like I don't feel like they're having like interesting controversial conversations.

Yeah. No, it's like Armchair Expert is always going there. Yeah. Armchair Expert goes there.

He gets a lot of uh They're the elk of podcasters. I don't know what Smart List is doing over there, but like I just feel like

they seem to really like it. Yeah. Yeah. No, they do. Something right. Not every podcast has to be Sorry to say it again. Rattata controversial. Like I'm saying hottest

taste. Yeah. Yeah. Or like so thoughtprovoking. Sometimes people just want to like commute home and like get a little chuckle.

The toast. Well, the thing about we do it all. We are so dynamic. We do the chuckle.

Oh no, we're going at a glance. So no, everyone zoom out. But we do go there. Like we're actually extremely substantial when we want to be. We

I feel like I go through eras where like I'm so serious about stuff and then some eras where I'm like you guys.

It's not that serious. It's we're just living. Yeah. Um that's why like the toast is without peer. I would say we are peerless

because we do a little bit of all of it. They're smartless. We're peerless. A spin-off show.

Peerless. If we ever got fired by Smartless, it would be Smartless Presents Peerless.

The Eternity from Maternity Collection. obsessed. Are you ready for our fourth story?

Yeah. Is some really beautiful news. Eddie Murphy's son, Eric, and Martin Lawrence's daughter, Jasmine, are expecting their first baby together less than a year after tying the knot. So, in case you didn't know, Eddie Murphy's son and Martin Lawrence's daughter are married.

I had no idea. Now they're having I feel like that should have been his documentary cuz I like fun fact about me is that I know a lot of stuff about any rookie ever since I watched his documentary and made it my whole personality and I feel like that's when he was doing like that 20-minute bit at the end about his dumbass puppets. I feel like that would have been a good time to let us know this.

Yeah, I feel like I forgot this but maybe at one point I knew it. Okay. Cuz it didn't seem like totally random. Um

and now they're having a baby. That's really nice. Lot of pressure for the baby to be

so funny. Yeah. He's like so serious. Yeah, but it's really cute. It is really cute. I can only imagine what like the Bris or whatever, baby shower is going to be like.

Yeah. Funny, funny, funny, funny. Yeah, I love Eddie Murphy. I know cuz I watched his documentary. I don't know if I mentioned that you guys.

And you liked it. I never watched it yet. What did I watch last night? Watched American Idol.

Oh, I I we almost watched American Idol, but then there was and I Shark Tank and you know Zach loves Shark Tank.

Well, I was watching Jeopardy. Um, in case anyone's wondering, I'd be Ben. Um, and then it was on after. I was like, "Sure, why not?" And it's the auditions, which is my favorite part. After the auditions, I don't really feel like I need to watch. I feel the same way about The Voice. Um, it's just such a good show. Like, I do.

How is Carrie? I feel like they need a shakeup. Wait, I think this is her first season.

It's not her first season. It's like her second or third. And I wasn't just referring to her. Like, in general, it feels a little stale. I think it's because, you know, Lionel and Luke Bryan have been there for many years and then it's like a new pop star. It was Katy Perry and so it's just like kind of formulaic at this point and I am like a little bit over it

as as somebody who tuned in once. They should bring back Simon Paula Randy. They should bring back Simon.

What's old is new again. I don't feel like as a country we've ever been in a better place than we were when those three were running that table like like a factory. They each knew their roles. Paula was like the fun pop star. Um Randy was like just sort of the very affable relatable one and then Simon was the one who like could really speak the truth.

The truth teller. Hey baby, you got to remember I'm forever your girl. So, I've actually never heard a Paul Abdul song, have you? Like, I know that she is this prolific pop star whose music has quite literally never once touched me in any meaningful way.

Was that Paul Abdul? So, if you were to say to me before, like two weeks ago, name a Paul Abdul song, I couldn't. Then I watched People We Meet on Vacation and there's like a whole scene and it's become like if you talk about the movie on TikTok, like you have to use that song. I'm forever your girl. It's Paula Abdul.

It's crazy that she got that job. I think if you knew Paula Abdul and her work, you wouldn't think that it was crazy.

Really? Yeah. She was a very meaningful. She was. Did you see the trailer for the Michael Jackson documentary? I did.

So, they're doing the Bohemian Raps City Elton John treatment to Michael Jackson. I'm wondering if they'll talk about the molestation.

I'm wondering if they will touch on it. The molestation was not in the trailer.

No, it wasn't. But that's okay. Um, a lot of like family drama and it's I think considered like people are really excited about it because well, who could play Michael? the greatest, you know, singer dancer of our time. Well, one of his descendants, actually, Jafar, will be playing Michael. Um, I don't know if I'm going to watch it cuz like one thing about me, I actually do think he molested those kids. That's just like a crazy thing about me.

I think so, too. That documentary was very compelling. Oh my god, that HBO Max documentary was insane. Um, I just believe it. And even if like I didn't watch a documentary, like the whole thing of him like, you know, having the ranch where kids would come, like it's just weird. So, just I'm like not a fan of like the eraser of the molestation personally and I feel like there have been like the MJ hologram and the Broadway show. They're always doing things about his life where they're just very conveniently leaving out the whole, you know. No, and I think I think what people say and they sort of

try to make sense of it like by saying that he was like stunted as a child and like as a

child star and probably like psychologically abused and like never and so are you going to show us that in the documentary or is it all going to be like

you know what song are you singing? Oh, Jackson 5. Yeah, that is the best song.

What else do I sing? Jackson five. Yeah, I thought you were going to sing like a Michael Jackson song.

Oh, no. I was going to sing Jackson 5 song because the documentary seems very Jackson 5 heavy.

I wonder if the documentary and by documentary of course I mean biopic movie musical.

If the biopic will cover the influence 13 Going on 30 had on Michael Jackson's career.

I don't I don't know that he did he live to see that? I actually think he did. Thank God that he lived to see that. Honestly, I'm glad I live to see that.

So, I feel like the biopic will be very surface. I I just want to quickly go back. If I were to ever do a Rolling Stone interview and they would say, "What are the five greatest songs ever written?" I'd really have to think about it. But I do think that Jackson 5 song is up there. It's like the best song.

And that's why I like Wood by I don't even know what song you're singing when you sing.

I like the Simmerelli version. Na na before E except after C not two plus two bla n I'm going to teach you

how to get a you're supposed to be right back to by background I'm going to teach you all about dear sit down and take a seat all you got to do is repeat like that is Charlie should have said that

and we're learning you got to Show me how to sing it out. Come on. Come on. Come on. Let me show you what it's all about. Read it. I literally know all the words to that song because of Simmerelli.

Do you know what I'm talking about? You know, it's a good kid song, too. Yeah, of course. Like when Ruby starts going to school, you know, I'm going to be popping that thing.

A lot of good like Jackson 5, like rock and robin. Oh, yeah. They kind of like made music for kids.

Yeah, I guess cuz they were kids. That's a good call. Um, so yeah. Curious at the station. Of course.

I feel like they won't even go there. And then is it really a biopic? No. And do you want to see that in the movie musical?

So like that's why I think I'll skip the movie. Yeah. But Miles Teller's in it.

Oh my god. I was shocked when Miles Teller showed up in the documentary in a wig. Like I was shook. Anybody else?

Yeah. Except then I remembered the funny story that um when it was like rumored who they were casting for the movie. There was a rumor that Miles Teller was playing Michael Jackson and he had to like come out and be like, "You guys, I'm not." Oh, that's so funny.

Because there was like backlash rightfully so. Like why would mouse tell her? Even though he really can dance.

Yeah, he's a great actor. It's a feeling now, you know. Yeah. Don't stop till you get enough. You know what song I really like actually, but I prefer the Glee version of course.

I'm starting with the man in the mirror. Oh yeah. Um and he really should have started with the man in the mirror that Michael like change starts from within. Okay.

Yeah. No mess. Oh no, that's George Michael in that song. I like that other one.

Oh, you know what I love? Sometimes the clothes do not make the man. I love that song. Michael Jack. Bringing it back.

Yeah. Black and white. Sing it. It don't matter if you're black or white. You know what?

I met my baby on a set. Maybe we should watch a movie. I was going to say I think I have to see the movie.

Thank you, Turt. My pleasure. Our fifth and final story, Whitney Leavit, debuted on Broadway in Chicago. Her first performance as Roxy has been shared online and Whitney's doing her thing.

Yes, I saw it. I think a lot of people were very curious. We've never heard her sing. So, obviously when you go to Broadway, singing is kind of a big part of that. Mhm.

She's been posting a lot of videos of her practicing, but like none of her singing. So, it was just sort of this like

was everyone like waiting and she would like post videos being like, "Okay, everybody wants me to sing." And then like there would be like a, you know, a car crash or whatever. Like she couldn't. So, she was like kind of playing with people. Um, and she can sing. She definitely can sing. Um, she looked like she crushed it. I saw a couple of clips. Obviously, I haven't seen the show. All the girls were in attendance. And I was reading a lot of comments, people being like, "Well, you know, now she's on Broadway. She's a big star. of course all the haters Michaela because everybody was really tough on her um the most recent season that we saw and then she had kind of like a banner year stars you know became this huge

cultural thing now she's on Broadway and so of course like it looks like all the girls come running back I was you know proud to say I did not pile on Whitney this season I felt like the girls really did her wrong it was sort of sort of painful to watch at times like how poorly she was being treated um

and so I don't this isn't like a Whitney comeback for because I've sort of been here. Um, and like now I think a lot of people are like, "Well, like Dancing with the Stars, like we were there before, you know."

Oh, yeah. We've supported her the whole time and we thought that she should win. Um, but all of it led her to this

even not winning. I feel like maybe if she won, maybe it would have been different. Who knows? If she would have gotten this role, she wouldn't she'd be on the tour or something like this was what was meant for her.

Um, it's crazy how much like she's changed in the last year and how much like my perception of her changed. Like when I watch her on the show, it feels like I'm watching a completely different person now. Also, Mark Ballas. I feel that way about

Well, Traers has not been good for Mark Ballas. I believe not been kind. Jackie sent me a funny text. She was like, "What did you say?" Like about how he's

I didn't know anything about him like when I watched Dancing with the Stars. And when I saw him on Dancing with the Stars, like I I was a little intimidated by him. Like I just felt like he's like very cool and very serious and

he's one of like the most, you know, decorated champions and he's like one of the most popular ones and he's so a part of Dancing with the Stars lore and history in a positive way.

Yeah. And I felt like maybe I don't know all the drama that surrounded them like I I don't know. I just like I felt he was like very intimidating.

Oh, it was like ethereal. Yeah. And then like Traitors like I said has not been good,

right? I I was like, "Oh, he's not that." No. And he's just like one of Colton's cronies.

Yeah. It's giving follower on traitors, which is never a good thing. Yeah. But back to Whitney. Very excited for her. Yeah. I feel like the next season of Secret Lives that comes out will be like when the girls are doing Dancing with the Stars.

Yeah, it'll be a little delayed and we'll see how supportive they are of her in that moment. If they were there for her then, then it's okay that they're here for her now. But

I didn't see Jen. I saw Michaela. I saw Jesse. I think I saw Macy. Taylor. Taylor. I did not see

De. What? De me? No, I didn't see her. But like I don't think that means anything.

Yeah, I think they are friends. Yeah. Um, no. I didn't see Jen. So, we'll see how they treat her on this previous season, but yeah, now she's like larger than life. I wonder what like not to like, you know, put pressure on her, but like what do you do after this? Do you go back to Utah?

Yes. I really hope she does not leave the show. I think it's like I think that happens a lot. Ra Jean Paul like don't leave the thing cuz it's still a huge show.

Yeah. Do not leave. I don't think it would be good for her. Like if if I I would actually think that's a huge mistake.

Yeah. If Taylor Frankie Paul is not leaving, nobody should be. Yeah. Even though do you feel like Whitney, who do you think is the most famous

from the show? I feel like it's Whitney now. Today it's Whitney. When Taylor's season of the Bachelorette comes out, it will be Taylor.

Yeah. Yeah. Cuz it's always just sort of in this undisputed thing. Like Taylor is the leader of Mom Talk because she started it, but also because she is the most famous. I think she's had the most followers.

Yeah. How many followers does Whitney have now compared? Are we talking exclusively on Tik Tok?

Um I want to do Tik I'll go to Instagram. You go to Tik Tok. Okay. Right. Taylor Frankie Paul has six million followers. That's a ton. Whitney Leavit has oh 3.4. It's like not even a question.

Taylor has 2.2 on Instagram and Whitney Leavit has 1.5. So she's creeping up. And I do feel like their Instagram follow

How many does Taylor have on Instagram? 2.2. Oh, she is creeping up. Yeah. Like I feel like Taylor got a lot of followers on TikTok

from mom talk. But now they're all sort of like settled. Yeah. Yeah, Instagram is I feel a more realistic.

Yeah, it's like more like from the show. Yeah. Uh so yeah, definitely neck and neck. But I do still think Taylor's leader of mom talk no matter how big Whitney is cuz Whitney's like doing things outside.

Outside of Utah, Taylor's always been doing everything like in service of mom talk.

Mom talk. Yeah. Um yeah, very exciting for Miss Leavit. Oh girl. Let's dive into Dear Toasters, our weekly advice segment. Every Tuesday, Jackie and I host a segment called Dear Toasters, where our toasters can write in if they're in need, whether they're going through issues at work, at home, in their relationship, with a friend, in a wedding party. Um, email us dear toasters@gmail.com or head over to our website, the toastpodcast.com. Scroll down, there's a little box that says Dear Toasters. Both methods of submission are equal opportunity, and they are both completely anonymous, so you never have to worry about that. Are you ready?

Mhm. Okay. Dear Toasters, after my husband's mom died three years ago, we had to take in her cat or she was going to be put in a shelter. I love animals, but this cat is the worst. She attacks my other cat. She pees in places out of spite. She scratches like ruins my doors and walls. I have a black lab, a dog who's terrified of her. I am seven months pregnant with my first child. Is it wrong of me to want to get rid of my husband's dead mother's cat?

No. No. And I would have said this even before you said you were pregnant, but now that you're pregnant, it's sort of like what you say goes. Um, and I'm sorry to your husband, but his mom's cat has to go.

No. And like you can't have like a wild feral animal around when you have a baby. I've also heard that like cats can be unsafe during pregnancy cuz they carry some germs

that are like not safe for the But she has another cat that she loves, so she shouldn't bring that up.

Okay. Okay. Cuz it's like, all right, well, we'll have to get rid of both cats.

Yeah. Yeah. I would definitely seek out a family member on your husband's side. Like worst case, like you don't want to give him in a shelter. So, like I would really work to find and of course this is your husband's problem, not yours. Finding a safe home for him. Rehoming and during pregnancy and early childhood years happens a lot. You're not a bad person because of it. Jennifer Lawrence did it. Um, and this isn't even your cat. So, definitely definitely uh get rid of that cat.

Yeah. You can't have a wild animal around with a baby. Yeah. And I also feel like its spirit feels cursed, you know, and you want to you're in your nesting phase.

Yeah. You want to sage the home, positive, clean energy, and it doesn't sound like this cat is providing that.

No. And so you you when it comes to bringing it up, like just say it like you don't even have to cushion it. Like you're not even being remotely unreasonable.

No. And like you're not this this isn't like a democracy, you know? This is happening.

This is happening. Yeah. Right. Get on board. Get on board. Start making arrangements.

Yeah. All right. Next up. That was easy. Hey, swirlies. I went to the dentist recently and I was seen by a new dentist. I couldn't help but notice this man is extremely attractive and he seemed to be around my age. I am typically shy. I do not like going out of my way to express things like this or make the first move. So, how do I go about seeing if he's interested in me? Should I follow him on Instagram? Is it weird if I have my roommate DM him for me in case it goes poorly? Because I still want to go to the dentist. He's also private on Instagram, so I don't know if he has a girlfriend. Sincerely, a shy toaster.

I I feel like you've written into the wrong show. Like, I don't We are two married ladies.

No, no. like I don't know how to help you because I'm always about putting yourself out there. You know, there is a time and a place, but like I don't know why this feels like a hard one.

Well, it is a little radical just in terms of like you know nothing about him. Like we do before you make any sort of contact, you absolutely have to find out if he's married cuz don't waste your time then. And I think there are ways to just Google it. Google his name and registry and see if there's like a registry come up. Like there's a million ways. Find a mutual friend. Check Facebook. like there are ways you have to do that first. But I do love your approach to um like you can't just sit around and wait for life to happen for you, especially in this day and age. I feel like, you know, I'm always quoting Scott Galloway. He talks about how men as as a gender are deteriorating. Um they're less and less viable and and they're certainly not asking women out.

It's just not happening. I don't know how people are meeting people, but it's not in the way that they once were. And I think a lot of women are kind of forced to take matters into their own hands. And I do think that's what's happening to you here. And so I want to support you. So, I'm trying to give sort sort of tactical advice. You have to find out.

You have to find out. I think also he even if he thought you were cute, like I don't think he could make the first move cuz that's like a violation. I think DMing with a friend. No.

No. Agreed. No. I think you kind of have to put your cards on the table and be willing to change dentists.

Of course, it's not that hard. Like dentists are like it's not like he's a a neurosurgeon. Like dentists are there's one on every block. You could find another dentist. Not to say that dentists aren't smart. That's not what I was saying, but I do think you need to be more specific when looking for a neurosurgeon versus a dentist.

I'm thinking of what I'm going to say next. And I think you've like stepped in some shoes

cuz that's not what I was saying. Like obviously you go to dental school like you're really smart.

Oh, I hear you like I But it doesn't sound like you have crazy dental problems.

Back to the conversation and you're have to apologize. I'm fighting for my life over here. I just didn't want to insult dentists. Like I think it doesn't sound like you have any complicated dental history. So if you need to find a new dentist, it's like not a big deal. Okay. Okay. It's not a big deal.

So, like you need to be willing to lose your dentist. And he said it's a new dentist, but you've known him for five minutes and you're married to him as a dentist. Like, it's fine.

Yeah, it is fine. And so, I think you do have to just like sort of disassociate. And you said you're shy. Like be put on the out like a confident person outerwear and like go up to me like

at the next appointment at the next appointment be like, "By the way, at your final appointment, are you seeing anyone and see what he says?" Be like, "I would love to grab a drink sometime." And like even though that's like not me and it's not you either cuz

that was really good though. Not right. I I just like I'm in a costume of confidence.

Wait for the appointment to be borderline over like his wrapping up. Um but is there like a hygienist in the room? They're always ruining the vibes. Like not to say that dental hygien wants hot dentist, but will everyone do it? I

not everyone has what it takes to get the hot dentist. You have to be prepared. You have to have your next dentist on and you have

Yeah. Instead of asking your friend to DM him, ask your friend who her dentist is.

Yeah. You have to just pretend you're someone else. Yeah. And say like, "Hey, what you want to grab?"

You need to be kind of crazy. Yeah. And the crazy bird gets the word. We're at an inflection point. And

you have nothing to lose except a good dentist. In culture, we're at an inflection point like in heterero normative

heterero relationships where like men are not asking women out like men are not leaving the house like they are these sort of like crazy creatures

out Galloway on the podcast. I actually would love to. Great. Um I didn't know he taught at NYU

with him kind of how we did like that episode with Chelsea Handler and like we wrote like people the ones we chose were like very specific to Chelsea. We need to write in about like men who are suffering like and how the wives can help them

and maybe we can get it sponsored by State Farm and it can be called Dear Farmer with Scott Galloway.

Okay. Or we could just have our loyal sponsors and not, you know, not yearn for the ones who left us.

Pine for State Farm. Yeah. No, I don't I mean State Farm is great. Come back anytime. I pine for deer farmer.

Yeah, I know you do. Um but I just feel like there are Oh, what about farmers insurance?

Farmers Insurance. Are they not owned by State Farms? Don't you feel like that's a weird coincidence? Yeah, they kind of like appropriating the farm.

Yeah, it's like a cheetah rant. No, but like farmers insurance is insurance for farmers.

No, it's not. It's not cracking up. It's just insurance. Are you sure? I'm not. And like that would make sense, but I'm almost 100%.

And then it's like, what does State Farm know about farm? Do you even know ball as the children say?

Is farmers insurance only insurance for farmers? Or not only, but like Mostly no. Despite the name, it's a large insurance company that sells policies to all kinds of customers. Auto insurance, home insurance, renters, life, business insurance, umbrella liability, motor, motorcycle RV.

Okay. So, they can do Dear Farmer. Yeah. How do we get here? Oh, so yeah, you have to be prepared to find another dentist and you have to the next time the appointment like find the right time. Wait for the appointment to be over because if he says Oh, and you also have to find out if he's married or has a girlfriend because then seriously, don't waste your time.

Yeah. And I just feel like he does. Do you know what I mean? I feel like dentists are usually spoken for.

Well, also like dentists like would be wearing rings, right? I don't know. They Why are they going to bring their ring into your mouth?

And a ring is really dirty. I actually hope my dentist is not wearing a ring. No. And he wear a glove.

Oh, yeah. Glove. Yeah. No glove. No love. I think Yeah. You know what? Someone's going to get this dentist. And why not you?

No. I I I love your brazen approach. Especially you sound like somebody who doesn't do this. She became unbrazen when she started talking about Instagram DMs and that's when I was like you're not cut out for this.

Of all the things you wrote in that is definitely the worst idea. Like do not do that.

Don't bring any part of Instagram into this. Agreed. Unless it's like stalking.

Yeah. Unless you make a fence. I don't even think your friend should follow him.

Go to his website. Like when they say like about us, he'll have a picture. If he has a wife and kids, the picture will be there.

Yeah. And if your friend like follows him to find out, he might think the friend's cute.

Oh yeah. Only your ugly friends. Yeah. Okay. Are you ready for a third and final?

Hey, Jackson turd. How you doing? Do I have to tell my boyfriend that I'm on Ompic? I've always been an athlete. I'm into working out. I just need a little help to get rid of some stubborn weight. I'm hesitant to tell him because he and his family are very holistic when it comes to health and wellness. The context is that we both live in the same city, but we do live separately, so I'm not worried about him seeing it in my fridge. We've been dating for almost 2 years, and the only person I've told is my best friend. Am I okay to keep this huge secret and not tell him that I'm on a medication? Or is it okay to live my girly, squirrely, skinny life in private? Oo, I'm like I've got angel and devil on my shoulder.

Me, too. Because my initial reaction is like, go live your life, don't tell him.

Leave your life. He's just the boyfriend. Do what you want. I hate to be so extreme like break up with your boyfriend. He's gay. But if you can't tell your boyfriend like this thing that means like like that you want to do for your own reasons, it doesn't affect him at all. Like I don't know. It kind of sounds like he's like not a supportive boyfriend.

Well, no, but he might be like holistic and like you just have a different you guys just disagree about you should still support him.

But that doesn't mean that you should break up. You also might not even want to go there and like have the talk about it. And you're entitled to like your privacy, your medical privacy. You don't have to like tell someone everything. However, on the other side, I'm like, I want to know what medications my partner is on. I feel like that's a fair thing to know.

Oh, that's an interesting thing to say. I think I agree. I've never thought about it before cuz like Ben and I like, you know, we pee with the door open. We're very like there's nothing

and and and that's your like you would never not. I would want to know medications that my partner's on. I feel like that's a fair thing to know, but I also feel like, you know, your body, your choice. I'm fine with her doing it, but I don't I feel like then not

sharing a bad pre and also what you're going to hide the thing in your fridge every time. And then what if he finds it? It's not that you're taking those

and then you act like you're doing something wrong from him. When you're when you when you hide in, it's because you're doing something bad and you're not.

Yeah. I actually think it might be a good test for your relationship. like this is something you know he fundamentally disagrees with. Can he be supportive of something you want to do for yourself?

And can you just like handle disagreement? I do think you should tell him for those reasons.

I think so too. You don't want to have secrets between you. No, it's never good.

And if it is a deal breaker for him for whatever reason, then the deal is broken. Like

Yeah. And if he can't be supportive of something that he just doesn't agree with, but that's like it's not like you're doing meth, right? Like it's just it's a medicine a doctor would prescribe it. So, if he can't be supportive of something that he might, you know, have a different value on and like that's not a good sign. Not everything you're going to want to do, he's going to agree with, but he should support it.

Yeah. And I think I think if he is like a good guy and you guys are meant to be, like I think you might be underestimating his capacity

for change and open-mindedness or not even change, just like being understanding.

Yeah. You don't have to agree with everything your partner does and says, but you do have to respect it and support it.

Yeah. But if he is so set in his ways to the point that like he could not support or be with you if you're on Ozmpic, then that's something you should know.

Agreed. It's kind of like a good test for your relationship two years in like Yeah. Like that's a big disagreement to have. It's not I don't think a deal breaker,

but you're allowed to have different philosophies on it. Yeah. And I don't think you should keep secrets.

Yeah. Like that because then it's like you're doing something wrong and you're not.

Yeah. And you don't want to feel like you're doing something wrong. You don't want to feel like you're hiding something from him. And to on his end, like I think he has a right to know medications that his partner's on.

I agree. At two years. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. At two years. You don't have to like lead with it on the first date.

No, of course not. Yeah. Well, that's our show. A great Tuesday. I've had a blast being with you singing, you know, Michael Jackson's greatest hits. Yeah. And I've had a blast with you guys. The toasters always showing up. We really appreciate.

We appreciate it. Um, cancel smart list. Thanks so much for listening to the Toast Monday morning show. We

cancel smart list stream wherever you get your podcasts. I'll leave you with that. Have a great day, guys.

Love you. Bye.
