What this episode is about
Synopsis: This analysis examines the Cyrus Warren interrogation in Fort Collins, Colorado, focusing on the detectives’ mindset and strategies as the scene unfolds, including observations about Warren’s appearance and demeanor during the questioning.
Key takeaways
- Outfit critique aside, Cyrus’ image signals a performative distrust of judgment; appearance becomes a high-stakes self-defense in interrogation.
- The timeline compounds risk: prior sex-offender status plus a series of boundary-crossing deliveries foreshadows a coercive, scripted denial.
- Interrogators leverage monotony and routine as leverage; the pizza job becomes a controlling anchor for his narrative defenses.
- Surprise fact: a single repeated contact with a minor—even through delivery—can drastically amplify investigative scrutiny and charges.
- Counterintuitive dynamic: legal peril isn't just the crime; it’s the relentless calendar of calls, texts, and witness consistency.

hey folks welcome back so today we're going to talk about the interrogation of Cyrus Warren this one takes place in Fort Collins Colorado and man is it one for the books but before I set it up and we get going I want to take a second and officially nominate Cyrus Warren as the worst dressed of anyone I've ever seen in an interrogation video that's not an easy title to get the day that Cyrus was arrested which became the outfit that he was interrogated in that day Cyrus Warren went with Timberlands with basketball shorts and somehow you can tell the basketball shorts haven't been washed this quarter a graphic hoodie that both looks uncomfortably small and thin and topped off with a pink Kermit the Frog beanie and it comes out throughout the interrogation he wears the beanie constantly like a Tim pool thing because he's self-conscious about being bald speaking of bald I still have my teus
cut out not sure what to do with it but anywh who as far as outfits go it's a legitimate zero out of 10 most of the time when I watch an interrogation I have the thought at some point throughout man this is the last time this person gets to wear jeans for the rest of their life this is the last time they get to wear that cozy fleece jacket forever they never get to wear their clothes ever again with this interrogation though for the first time looking at Cyrus Warren sitting there in the pinkt Kermit the Frog beanie and Timberlands with shorts I was thinking this might be the first one when they bring him over to the jail and he has to change into the thin ratty orange jail get up it's going to be an upgrade he might actually feel better about himself like hey look at me feeling sharp the clothes make the man looking good feeling good strutting around the halls Cyrus Warren in the house feeling
good all right so let's get into it whenever I do one of these interrogations I like to start with going over what is the mindset and strategies the detectives are bringing into the interrogation and what is the mindset and strategies the person being interrogated in this case Cyrus Warren what what is he bringing into it to try to get through the interrogation and in order to do that I got to set the whole thing up so here's the story December of 2022 Cyrus Warren is delivering pizzas at Domino's Pizza in Fort Collins Colorado at the young age of 21 he's already a convicted sex offender and has to register on the sex offender list I don't know what that case looked like he was a minor but he had to go through the full system jail like a youth halfway house thing the whole shebang so he's not naive about kind of the whole thing which comes up during an interrogation so 21 years old convicted sex offender
delivering pizza at Domino's Pizza in Fort Collins Cyrus Warren and he asked this is December 2022 he asked a coworker if she wanted to go and do some fun things he had these plans and see she said sure and so she gets in Cyrus's car I don't know if it's the next day or a short time after he invited her but instead of doing what they had planned Cyrus just drove to a secluded area and sexually assaulted her and then whether it was the next day or the day after that Cyrus senters a bunch of text messages saying that he was sorry and I don't know what all they said but I would assume something like you know don't get me in trouble I'm sorry so he sent her a bunch of apologetic text messages well she calls the police and reports it and an investigation starts a police officer calls Cyrus so imagine Cyrus he's 21 years old pizza driver already on the sex offender registry list and here he goes again a cop is
calling him about what he did to his coworker I'm sure the stress of that incident you're sending texts to apologize oh man here we go again and then a cop called calls him oh God this is getting stressful and then a short time after that a detective called him so you know the investigation didn't just evaporate ah nothing happened here if you go from a just a police officer calling you to ask about it and then a detective calls and asks if you'd be willing to give DNA you know it's not going great so I would guess for 21-year-old sex offender Cyrus Warren working at Domino's Pizza this became the main stress in his life oh man I just gone through the whole system and now here we go again I'm getting called by police and detectives why did I drive that coworker out there it's stupid you could just picture Cyrus not wanting to go through the whole system again well the same week that that
happened I think it may have even been a day apart another Cyrus Warren incident happened totally unrelated and a family that lives in Fort Collins had ordered pizza and Cyrus Warren delivered it and so he goes up onto their porch their 10-year-old daughter opens the door the parents aren't anywhere and Cyrus delivers the pizza to the 10-year-old girl all right so that was I think before he sexually assaulted his coworker well then the same week that he sexually assaulted the coworker that same family orders Domino's Pizza again Cyrus Warren happens to be the delivery driver he's been there before he knows their place he knows their daughter he'd already done one interaction with her so he goes back to this same house to deliver the pizza the same 10-year-old daughter opens the door he gives her the pizza this is the second time they've interacted and this time Cyrus ask asks her can I have a
hug and Cyrus Warren convicted sex offender only 21 years old gives this 10-year-old daughter as the piz a boy gives this 10-year-old daughter a hug picks her up and then sets her back down and then oh says here here's my contact info and gives her his contact info where the parents hear about that I don't actually don't know if at that point they called Domino's Pizza to report it or if they actually called the cops I wasn't able to find it but those two incidents where it gave the kid a hug and gave her his information and the coworker assault I think were one day apart so Cyrus Warren's going through a a phase and so anyway so now the investigation about assaulting the coworker is happening and the day after the coworker thing and in the text Cyrus quits Domino's Pizza and he's done and so now he's not a pizza guy anymore he he had worked worked at Papa John's and then he'd worked at
Domino's and for the first time in a while because he sexually assaulted his coworker and is trying not to go to jail for it he quits Domino's and he's no longer a pizza driver well about a month after he quit and he's not a pizza boy anymore Cyrus decides to drive back to that house with the 10-year-old daughter that he's been to twice that he asked for a hug that he gave her his contact information and he drives back it's like horrifying thought picturing 21-year-old convicted sex offender Cyrus driving in the in the neighborhood parking his car looking around he has no business being there you're not a pizza guy you're not here to deliver a pizza what are you doing here Cyrus and Cyrus gets out of his car walks up onto the front porch which he's been before knock on their door the same 10-year-old daughter answers the door and Cyrus asks her if he can use the bathroom she says no and is scared
and closes the door and locks it Cyrus now is just standing on their porch and he continues to knock on the door and call out hey can I use the bathroom the 10-year-old daughter is terrified and just goes just a minute and it isn't opening the door and he continues knocking and Cyrus then tries the doorknob and so the parents of the 10-year-old daughter I think through the daughter and I don't know if they had a doorbell camera but they figure out what happened and at that point they call the cops so two investigations separate both about Cyrus Warren the 10-year-old daughter gave her a hug gave her his cont went back when he wasn't a pizza delivery driver was knocking on the door like a psycho tried the door handle so there's that case and then there's the sexual assault of the coworker that's been going for a month were both of those incidents resulted in an arrest warrant at pretty much the
same time and so here we are you're the detectives and you're preparing to arrest Cyrus Warren for both of the warrants and you know you're going to bring him in you want talk to him you're going to try to get the most out of this interrogation you possibly can and the strategies that the interrogators I think went with was all right so he knows about the sexual assault on the coworker he sent her a bunch of Texas acknowledging it he was called by a cop he was called by me the detective asking about DNA so he knows about this one there's a good chance he doesn't even know that the parents of the 10 year old daughter knew about it and called the police and that's turned into a thing so I think the strategies that the detectives came in with let's talk about the coworker and all they knew they could just kind of slow playay it they just talk about what have you been doing recently because they know he
quit his job what have you been doing recently where have you been working or you worked at Papa John's oh you worked at Domino's they knew if they just talked about his life at some point it would end up I worked at dominoes and so they didn't really have to press him at all until it got to how did you end up quitting dominoes because that he quit because of the the coworker and then everything kind of went from there so there I think what their strategy was was let's just not bring anything up too quickly talk to him about what he's been doing in life and then we'll finally get to how he delivered for Papa John's and then he delivered for Domino's and then I'll ask him so what happened with Domino's why did you end up leaving and we'll see what he says and then if he ever decides you know what I want a lawyer or I don't want to answer any questions or if it gets too intense we have that second warrant about the the
10-year-old daughter going to her house knocking on the door trying to doorknob we have that that if all of a sudden he doesn't want to talk himm we could say well there is another warrant and hopefully that he go what another warrant and so I think I think that's the strategy that the detectives had let's talk about the strategy that Cyrus Warren has so think about it he knows about the case with the coworker he's been called about it by a detective a cop he had sent text messages he'd gone through the whole system so he's not naive about the whole thing works and so he has to deal with a few things how how do I after texting that I apologize how do I get through that that's almost like an admission of Gil so that's one thing and then what another strategy that he goes in with is I'm gonna pretend like I don't know what's going on and I'm gonna pretend that why I'm in here is because I didn't
register with the sex offender registry list I don't even know what it's called whatever I didn't register when I quit my job you're supposed to tell him what you're doing and so he's his strategy is I'm going to go in there like nothing's going on I haven't done anything oh a little a little error I didn't register and he was going to have the story which it the law changed and I was a minor and it was going to get expunged and I didn't know I have to do it okay so that's one strategy but that only is the strategy of not being of of just like why am I here right he's he's not GNA go in and go I know I'm here for the sexual assault so that's that's his strategy of being like yeah I must be here just for a clerical air with the registry no big deal that's why I'm here nothing else has been happening it's all just been a normal great life other than this just uh surely they brought me in just to talk
about that but he also knows he has to deal with the coworker sexual assault situation he's been called by a cop he's been called by a detective he knows it's not going away and so his strategy to get through that is to make it to m it up and make it a he said she said situation where he caught that coworker in a relationship with the manager and so and according to Cyrus you're not allowed to be in a relationship with the man manager at Domino's Pizza it's very important so the story that he's going with is I overheard the manager and the coworker that he actually sexually assaulted talking about their relationship and how they're together and how they're sleeping with each other and sleeping with each other at work and so Cyrus goes with the story when they knew that I knew that they were together they started to Blackmail me they said they were going to physic they said you don't say a damn
thing and I said I'm not going to say a damn thing I I won't I'm not a snitch I wouldn't tell on you guys and they said you're going to say something and he goes no I'm really not I don't care if you're dating and they said well because we know you're going to say say something we're going to make up that you raped us and that is Cyrus's plan is that because he knew that they're dating then they're blackmailing him so he doesn't tell anybody and so think about that think about you you sexually assault a coworker you're already a convicted sex offender you're thinking I got to go through this whole nightmare again I'm an idiot I just got through the system and I'm doing this again and to think I got to go into an interrogation and sit across from a detective and the story I'm going with is they're trying to Blackmail me what he calls it is they're going to abuse my they're going to abuse their female
power and say that I sexually assaulted them and bring down a good man like me because that's what females can do and he's he gets it gets really sad and pathetic he's like man it's just such man they can just use their female power and lie on someone like me and then everybody believes them but that is not an easy that's not an easy story to it sounds really dumb and so it's not an easy story to go in there sitting across from a detective and when she starts pressing you so what happened with your co-worker to then go well you're not going to believe this I caught him in a relationship at dominoes it's like who cares if a manager and an employee is together at dominoes this isn't you know some this is a pizza place it's it probably happens at every single one and so to think that just because you caught them in a relationship they're going to try to totally ruin You by all these lies about how you're a sexual predator it's
that's hard to swing and it gives me that feeling of I don't think he knew necessar IL that he was going to get arrested and have to do an interrogation maybe the night before but he knew enough about the system that once they arrested him and were bringing him down he definitely had time to think about it like man I'm about ready to have to tell this cocka manyy story that's stupid and totally unbelievable in this tiny room with a detective most people don't have to do anything like that their whole life and here Cyrus is at 21 trying to pass that story but I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself so they arrest him they bring him down they put him in the interrogation room and Cyrus I think probably because he's gone through the system before he kind of has this confidence like I've been here before I know how this goes and so they put him in the small interrogation room and leave him in there for a while and he
starts doing this thing where he's pretending to be talking to himself but really he's talking he knows that they're listening listening and he's talking to the people that are listening and so he's walking around and he goes oh man I can't I can't wait to go home I'm going to have a henness and Coke the best drink and then he he says quote deep down I'm like I should have been an escape con artist and show them how easy it is to get away and I was thinking is an escape con artist a thing I thought it was either you were a escape artist or you were a con artist Cyrus thinks that he could have been an escape con artist and so he goes yeah man I could have been an escape con artist and Sh escape and show you just how easy it really would and then he goes up and he starts testing the walls he's like this wall over here this would be the best one to break through and then something about this Young
Generation it's kind of wild to see we're starting to see interrogations of like 20 year olds Cyrus here 21 year olds and 19y olds and I've noticed from watching a couple of them they this young generation are litigious little bastards he BEC Cyrus is convinced while he's sitting there talking to himself but really talking to the people listening to him he's convinced that because they didn't read him as Miranda writes when they brought him down to the station he had two arrest warrants they didn't read him his Miranda rights right away before they brought him down they didn't ask him him any questions or anything they just brought him down he was convinced because he wasn't read his Miranda wres then that he was going to be able to sue the state for all of this money and he was sitting there audibly fantasizing that he was going to buy more memory card for his gaming system and a new controller and he was going to
win this lawsuit and there's another interrogation of I think he was a 19-year-old that was arrested for beating a 60s something year old man to death in a road rage incident and by the time they bring him down it's 1:30 2:00 in the morning and he thinks it's the interrogation he's 19 he thinks it's going to go great it's self-defense it was a road rage thing well the interrogation starts to go terrible for him and this 19-year-old starts demanding a lawyer I want a lawyer it's my right to get a lawyer and it's 2: in the morning and the detectives are kind of start laughing at him like that's not how it works pal you think a room with a some locker room with a bunch of lawyers with briefcases 24 hours a day waiting and then they pop in we need a lawyer and one of them slaps the hands and runs out hey I'm your lawyer it's like you got to go to court and a judge will decide if you get a lawyer if you can
afford one but he was just totally convinced that if he said I want a lawyer that the detective has to go out somewhere does anyone know where a lawyer is we have to give it and the fact that the detectives were just kind of laughing that like dude you are Beyond clueless that made the kid even more enraged and he just started screaming the n-word at everybody it's a good one but anyway it's like the second or third young person being interrogated that they're totally clueless how everything works and when they're told that's not how it works pal they go I'm suing everybody I'm going to sue the state I'm going to win all this money I'm going to sue for everything they're worth it's like yeah good try so anyway Cyrus has now just been in the interrogation room by himself for about 15 minutes he's tested the walls durability oh yeah this is the best one to break through talked about being an escape con artist talked about
buying uh more memory and a new controller for his gaming system with the lawsuit that he's about to win against the state for not reading his Miranda rights and then the detective comes in and it starts and it's funny he goes they didn't read me my Miranda wrs as if it was going to be like the oh my God and the detective goes all right well I'll read them to you now and he's just like oh that's it damn I guess I'm not going to get more memory for my gaming system that's a bummer and then it starts with like I said she's in no hurry to get to the she wants to do the whole like why don't you tell me why we're here she doesn't come out and say all right your cooworker said this you know why we're here I know why we're here let's talk about it she lets him go slow all right what have you been doing recently oh you've been living at your mom's place helping her clean he saids after he hasn't been
working he's been living with his moms helping her clean and playing video games it's been his life oh okay and then they start talking about just like random people that Cyrus has met which is worth talking about because of something that comes out later so Cyrus is making it sound like he's this social butterfly yeah I met this cool girl in a parking lot I met this person I've got all these friends online for the first time I never thought that I'd have these video game friends but I have these video game friends now and then she's asking him oh so you you delivered pizza at Papa John's yeah oh and then so then did you start delivering pizza at somewhere else he goes yeah Domino's Pizza oh well tell me about what made you leave Domino's Pizza because she knows the reason he left is because of the sexual assault that's what he knows too and up until this point oh yeah before she came in too he was audibly
talking like ah this must just be for the registry yeah I don't have to register anymore I was a juvenile and they changed the law and it's expunged and he's going on and on about that and so he had mentioned I think at this point like is this because of the registry and she says Nah to be honest I don't even really know anything about that but he knows they both know what they're in there to talk about but what he doesn't know is there's that whole other deliver pizza twice ask the 10-year-old for a hug go back knock try the door he doesn't know about that that there's another warrant they just told him when they arrested him about the one warrant and so finally after a while they get on so how did you leave Domino's pizza and that's when he launches into the story that he caught the employee and the manager in a relationship they told him you don't say a damn thing he said I won't say a damn
thing and then they said we don't believe you that you're G that you won't say anything so we're going to make up a story that you sexually assaulted we're going to lie on you and we're going to ruin you because of that and the detective doesn't really pressure him on how dumb it is she goes oh okay well you know when did they say stuff like that and she's asking him as if it's a true story so he's starting to feel like all right hey this isn't going this isn't going half bad she seems to be pretty receptive to this story and like Parts like he goes and I just wanted to be done I didn't want to work there anymore these people were awful they were abusing their female power and so she wanted me to text her she said I want you to text me and admit that what you did and even though he didn't do I want you to admit stuff that you didn't do and apologize for it cuz he has to explain away those texts that he sent
her apologizing that one of the biggest weaknesses of his whole I was blackmailed story it's like you text her acknowledging it and apologizing so he has to deal with those texts and his idea to do it is to say I just wanted to be done with the whole thing they're awful people and even though I didn't do anything she wanted me to admit to stuff I didn't do and then apologize for it so I wrote down everything she wanted me to admit even though I didn't do it and I sent her the text just how she wanted them and I apologized to do it and then I was done I deleted her number and everything and then this is the quote he as that as this section is wrapping up he lays it on a little thick and he says quote and that's why I can give a damn less about anyone in that store or whatever stories or lies they have to say about anything that I've said done tried to do acted upon tried to do a front flip off a bridge I don't care
they can all go to hell so it's not really typical to of an innocent person to say things like I whatever they whatever they're saying I did tried to do said done acted upon something about a front flip off a bridge and so that was how he was wrapping up that whole section of they made me admit to it I sent these text but I don't care they're all just lying on me and uh I quit my job because I didn't want to be around all that toxicity and I went to Golden Corral that was his story and then the detective is like oh I haven't been to Golden Corral in a while and he says yeah I like the chicken strips and then he invites the detective to go to Golden Corral with him I don't know if I've ever seen someone being interrogated ask out the detective hey you want to go to Golden Corral he also when they were talking earlier about his jobs that he's had asked if they were hiring a convicted sex offender that has two open
cases asked the detective are you guys hiring and she was like yeah we're always hiring and so they get it's that section is wrapping up they've let him she's let him tell the whole blackmailing story hasn't pressured him at all and then again she wants to ask him if he would give DNA he's been as you can imagine he doesn't want to give the DNA and so she asks him would you be willing to do a buckle swab and he goes a butthole swab and she goes no no no no you heard WR it's called a buckle swab but I wish she would have gone I wish she would have gone with it like yeah of course what do you up standard procedure come on you know that every time there's a case of this nature a prompt butthole swab is ordered it's actually for your protection but anyway the swabber will be in in a minute so just be ready for that and we'll just keep moving but he goes a butthole swab and then she goes no no no it's a buckle swab we just want
to do you know DNA want to get your DNA and he doesn't want to give his DNA because he knows he's guilty and so he says well I I'm already in the system from when I from my first case when I'm a sex offender so you probably have my DNA but I wanted to actually talk to a lawyer I don't know where the DNA goes or what you guys do with it so I just want to talk to a lawyer and she goes all right and she's not like the female detective isn't too happy about that because she's like damn now we can't go on and talk about the whole other case and she tries to swing it like a little bit like all right do you want to maybe keep talking about and he goes no you know what that you you've got my story I think that's it for answering questions I think I just want a lawyer and she's like all right so that puts an end to it so then she goes out of the room and they Implement a pretty slick strategy they have another detective pretend to
be just the police officer that goes in the room like all right stand up we're going to put cuffs on come with me like I'm not an interrogator I'm just the one that's helping you process through this thing so they say you know what go in and mention that you have multiple warrants he knows he has one he was already with the story to deal with that one I'm being blackmailed he was already he knew about that one but he doesn't know about this one so go in there and in passing mention that you have that he has another warrant multiple warrants and hopefully he wants to keep talking and so he goes in the detective mentions it like oh hey you know so you're wanted on multiple warrants the first one doesn't get Cyrus to com compute what he said and then he does it again just works it in like yeah so you're wanted for multiple warrants and and all of a sudden Cyrus goes multiple and the guy goes yeah you the
one that you just talked about and then there's another one with like a juvenile is that right and Cyrus is horrified and and bombarded and he's going no no no wait what no what are you talking about my sister has a case she's a juvenile she's going through but no there I don't know what you're talking about and then so he goes oh one second about do you want to maybe go do you want to talk to the detective again and Cyrus is going yeah I want to I want to hear about what this second Warren is yeah bring her back in and what's so crazy about that is Cyrus Warren was almost done he was so close to not taking the absolute beating that he takes on this second round of the interrogation he had asked for a lawyer she had left you were so close to not having the defining footage of your life taking a brutal beating in the interrogation room wearing a pink Kermit the Frog beanie and right at the last
minute they rope him right back in so she comes back in says oh yeah you gotta you got another felony um warrant do do you want to talk about that he goes yeah yeah I do want and she goes okay well I'd be she makes sure to go I would be happy if you want to continue talking I would be happy to talk about it with you and the fact that Cyrus I think the fact that he had no idea that he was even caught with the whole like creeping on that family and the 10-year-old daughter he was so bewildered by how it came out out of nowhere he had no idea it was even happening all of that mixed together Cyrus Warren's explanations that he gives of why were you at that family's house why did you give her a hug why did you go back his explanations for why he ended up going back that third time no exaggeration might be the most comically stupid explanations I've ever heard in an interrogation and why it made it on
the channel so he goes on and on about being blacklisted wants a lawyer the detective leaves she comes back now he's ready to talk but before he had a plan I'm going to go with the I blackmailed story he didn't he wasn't planning for this he's completely screwed basically in every way to talk about this and the explanations are just one for the books and so it becomes very simple for the interrogator all she does at this point is basically says Cyrus going the first time and delivering the pizza that's normal no problem with that going the second time and then you asked for a hug you asked this 10-year-old daughter for a hug and then picked her up and Cyrus is going no no I didn't I didn't hug her no hug no hug I didn't do it it's like Cyrus you went you went the first time and then you went back and asked for a hug and then a month later when you weren't even affiliated with a pizza service you went
back again and Cyrus is denying it he's going no no I didn't I didn't do that but instead of if someone really didn't do that imagine what they would be saying and doing to deny it like what are you talking are you you really think I went back you're crazy you got the wrong person this is the dumbest thing ever you're wasting my time Cyrus is so just blindsided by this whole section and this whole case that the whole investigation he starts going when she kind of accuses him like yes you picked her up you gave her a hug he just starts going do you have audio and visual do you have audio and visual Cyrus you went back when you didn't even work for dominoes and you knocked on the door like a psycho do you have audio and visual so there's that he just pathetically asks if there's audio and visual and then here we go without further Ado he has four different possibilities of why he ended up back there and again
the detective just keeps it simple she just goes help me understand why you went back and then she lets him go for a while and it doesn't really matter what stupid stuff he says then she just reiterates going the first time was okay going the second time was all right because you worked for dominoes not hugging her and giving that's but then that third time help me understand she just keeps basically saying different versions of that help me understand why you were there the third time and so here is explanation number one the totally blindsided bewildered Cyrus Warren gives for going to that family's house for three different times the first one is he says he was advertising for a babysitting business and to lead into that one this is one of my favorite it's one of my favorite parts of the whole where is it and so as she's going yes you did Cyrus you went back and you gave her a hug and then he went back for
a third time he's going well do they have audio and visual no I didn't do they have audio and visual and she's going you wouldn't be here Cyrus if we couldn't put you there and then he goes do they have my number and my name and and he she goes yes and he goes yes and she goes yes and he goes what the hell and he goes oh yeah I gave out my number and name and she goes what are you talking about and he tells the detective that he went to six different houses with flyers for a babysitting company that he wanted to start so we have a convicted sex offender on the sex offender registry list that has two open one juvenile case one sexual assault case trying to start a babysitting business and she asked him you were trying to start a babysitting business and he says quote hold on this is great he says quote I want to be able to you know take a group of kiddos like 10 kiddos anything from they got to be 10
to 18 we can go to the park we can go river rafting go to the movies it will all be on me depending on how much of course I would be asking from the parents to pay but if I did say $5 per hour per kid that would be 50 bucks an hour it's like can you imagine calling Cyrus's babysitting company convicted sex offender babysitting this is Cyrus we're having a Sizzlin $5 an hour summer sale it's like you know things have gotten too expensive when a $5 an hour sex offender Child Care is actually one of the only affordable options it's not ideal but it's all I can afford and so you have Cyrus telling a detective that was attempting while being on the sex offender registry to start a babysitting business so that's explanation number one why he was over at their house as you can imagine it didn't go too great with the detective it's not like she said oh well that makes total sense and so we're going to drop that and so she's
just going what you uh you babysitting and then she she brings it back and said you need to help me understand Cyrus why were you at their house you didn't work for Dominos you need to tell me why you were there and what she she the friendliness that was in that first um section where he's talking about being blackmailed and all of that her friendliness is gone I'm wondering if she thought that she slow played it too much in that first one and then he asked for a lawyer with the DNA so now she's all business in this one but what she is furiously trying to do is to get Cyrus to admit the reason he went back was to interact with that kid because like to catch a predator you get to see with this one the chat is really important in those To Catch a Predator cases because that's the intent just going to the house and standing on the porch and asking if he can use the bathroom is beyond creepy and weird but
to get the real charge they're looking for they got to get Cyrus to admit that he went back for that kid and so the advertising for the convicted sex offender babysitting company doesn't go over all that great and so then she's going all right s you got to help me why were you there and the second explanation was that maybe he was about to crap his pants and he said maybe I was about to crap my pants and I had to go up and bang on the door I got to crap my pants and that's another one like imagine waking up to a convicted sex offender furiously banging on your window screaming they're about to crap themselves that's kind of alarming right there and so he's going maybe the reason I was there is I had to crap my pants and she goes well has that happened recently and he just goes no so that's about as long as that explanation worked for and then so we go to the third one which is okay oh yeah this is this is maybe the
one that really makes it for the book so again he's gone through maybe I was starting my babysitting business no that's not why I was there well maybe I had to crap my pants and I was trying to and no that's not it and so she again she goes I need you to that La that third visit doesn't make sense cus why did you go back and his mind is racing at this point it's not going well he was totally blindsided and what comes out of his mouth is he says just to be there just uh just to be somewhere you know you got to be somewhere and I just happen to be there and the detective is going Cyrus tell me more about just to be there I don't understand and he says quote like just existing maybe just knowing I can go somewhere where maybe I can be around just being able to know I remember so I honestly think that might be the dumbest explanation I've ever heard in an interrogation why were you at that 10-year-old kid's house hugging
her you're a convicted sex offender why were you there just to be there you know got to be somewhere and I just happen to be there you're right there and I'm here but at that moment I was there and I just you got to be somewhere and I just happen to be there imagine that a convicted sex offender is hugging your 10-year-old daughter and coming back to your house and trying the doorknob and you go what are you doing and they say I have to be somewhere you know you got to be somewhere all right so that's number three explanation number three also doesn't hit as hard as Cyrus is hoping it does and then we get to number four which maybe even dumber than the last one which the detective again goes Cyrus you got to help me why were you there you got to help me understand just saying just to be there isn't cutting it why were you there and Cyrus says um maybe to find a possible kid of mine and the detective goes what Andy this
might be the most cringe Cyrus's the whole interrogation Cyrus goes I've had a lot of female friends at this point my body count is almost 25 and one I got a phone call one night and it was someone saying I had your kid and then they hung up and I didn't know if it was an X or I didn't know if it was a prank call and the detective is going well what what's was the ex that called you what's her name and he goes I don't remember all right so an ex that you may be that you were with and maybe got pregnant but you don't remember her name called you and asked you or and told you that she had your kid and then you hung up deleted her number forgot about her name and then started going out night after night going to random houses to try to find said kid and Cyrus goes yeah yeah that's um he says quote I might have a son out there or something cuz I've had a lot of female friends in the past and I've not used a condom
sometimes and I don't know maybe that's it saying like maybe that's it maybe that's why I was and she's going okay so you don't remember the ex's name and he goes no I've been with a lot of people and maybe it was a prank call and she goes but if it was a prank call you still went out ni night after night just the house house after house trying to find your kid that may or may not exist that's why you're saying and also wouldn't you know that the kid that may or may not exist from either the ex that you don't remember the name or the prank call wouldn't you know the kid wouldn't be at the house you know who lives at that house you've been there three times and that one like the others dies a horri L miserable death right there on the interrogation table but the the detective doesn't have what she wants yet right she needs that like I was there for the kid so again she's going why help me understand why you were
there and Cyrus just goes that kid was nice you know that kid was nice for once kids are these days he gets this cynical you know what kids are such these days oh I'm getting a call Cyrus gets this attitude like man just everybody's such an these days and and that kid was nice and I just wanted to be around someone that was nice but admitting that he was there for the kid so she's going so you went back to that house because you thought the kid was nice and Cyrus goes yeah probably and she goes probably or that's why you went back and he goes yeah that's why I went back and she goes thank thank you for being honest and then he kind of goes on and and finishes his thought where he just wants to see a friendly face and he says I don't have any family and I don't have any friends and that kid was nice and I just wanted to be somewhere and have a friendly face but that goes against what he said at
the beginning where he was making all these friends and his mom and him were getting along so great then all of a sudden an hour and a half later he's going I don't have any family and I don't have any friends and the only thing I wanted was to go and be with that 10-year-old because she was nice and most kids are these days and it kind of wraps up from there he's arrested oh yeah another funny thing is they leave him again and he's kind of just walking around the room and he keeps going that's a camera that's a camera but he's not pointing at any he never points at the camera everything he calls as a camera isn't a camera so that's kind of funny and he was he plad guilty to both but the second one with the kid the 10-year-old and going to their house over and over again it was just attempted trespassing because without like the chats in the To Catch a Predator it's hard to prove intent so he
plad guilty to the sexual assault with the um coworker and for attempted trespassing and he only got three years and like 10 years probation I'm thinking he's already a sex offender offender he has both of those things happen he's only 21 years old he has both of those cases happen that I just talked about at pretty much the same time and he only gets three years so the people in Fort Collins Colorado be careful because Cyrus is probably going to be out in a year or two and he's a creepy dude but I'm going to cut it off there I love you all see you next time why Sten why sh me
