today's Story begins in Hammer Matsu Japan what you're going to hear takes the notion of a serial killer to an entirely new level one that is even more disturbing and unsettling you see Nakamura didn't start his Killing Spree in his adulthood like most serial killers he began Taking Lives at the tender age of 14. welcome or welcome back to another episode of Twisted Minds where we uncover the workings of the world's most gruesome Killers today we will be going over the case of say Saku Nakamura more commonly known as Hammer Matsu deaf killer he was no ordinary killer he was different marked by a physical disability that left him feeling detached from the world around him the numbers are staggered and the horrors he inflicted upon his victims are Beyond Comprehension 11 people lost their lives at the hands of this monster before he had even reached the age of 18. the once upstanding boy had turned
into a killing machine ribbon by dark impulses that consumed his every thought this is the story of hammer Matsu deaf killer Japan's one and only deaf teenage killer foreign sprung into the world in 1924 in Hammer Matsu Japan born deaf he faced numerous challenges from the very beginning even though Nakamura had a disability he wasn't intelligent and capable individual who excelled in his studies achieving High marks in school he was polite and gifted possessing a great nature and Brilliant mind the boy was even awarded a scholarship to attend high school he did not complain about his condition he took on the world without fear despite his academic success Nakamura was treated poorly by his family who failed to see beyond his deafness they did not notice the brilliant mind he possessed instead viewing him as a burden treating him coldly and neglecting him if that was not enough for young sesaku
he was shunned by his peers at school the Boyd who should have been given more attention and love to compensate for his disability was left on the sidelines left alone to fend for himself this constant mistreatment left say Saku feeling isolated and alone he wandered in the shadows a social misfit in society Nakamura turned to violent films he entered the world of moving pictures that did not need words to tell a story he found solace in the scenes where men used Japanese swords to assassinate people throughout these films he found a sense of power and control that he had been denied in his own light Nakamura was fascinated by Samurai movies and his luck for the iconic katana swords and knives grew stronger as he got older it was a world that spoke to him in a way that words never could and though others may have only seen violence and bloodshed sasaku saw something else he watched the Swift lethal strikes of
Swordsmen and felt a sense of empowerment that allowed him to forget at least momentarily the isolation and miscreagment he had experienced in his own life perhaps he felt that the nines were an extension of himself a way to make up for what he perceived as physical and social shortcomings or maybe he truly enjoyed the rush of adrenaline that came with wielding such deadly weapons this Escape in the violent films eventually proved to be a dangerous path for say Saku nakamura's life took a dark turn and he began to exhibit violent and aggressive tendencies the fantasies he had witnessed on screen slowly became a reality as he began to commit acts of violets himself
Nakamura may have been born deaf but in the world of the Samurai he found a voice that spoke louder than words a voice that would change lives or end them on the fateful day of August 22nd 1938 the young boy of only 14 attempted to commit a heinous crime taking sexual advantage over a woman not one but two women had the courage to resist him they fought the young boy and resisted his advances unfortunately for them their bravery was met with unimaginable brutality as the young boy chose to take their lives instead as it turns out Nakamura had a knife on him and he took no time in punishing the women for not letting him complete his task he took out his knife and stabbed the two women to death copy what he had learned from his favorite movie scenes the fact that he had a weapon on him indicated that he set out from his house with murderous intent and would not let anything hold him back much information about Nakamura and his
life and crimes have been locked or kept secret whether he committed any sexual crimes or murders before this day is unknown for all we know this may not have been his first violin Adam despite his lack of hearing he was able to Target people and get away with it for the next two years Nakamura did not commit any more crimes that the public is aware of but something inside him was ruined after the brutal murder of the two women in 1938 say Saku Nakamura seemed to have vanished from the public eye there were no more reports of any crimes committed by him for the next two years had he gotten off the dark path had he finally understood the consequences of his actions and vowed to be a good boy the answer would be no Nakamura was far from done with his violent and disturbing ways he somehow managed to continue his criminal activities undetected targeting people and getting away with it his isolation
and mistreatment had left him feeling powerless and alone but with each act of violence he felt a sense of control and power that had always eluded him how he was able to do this is a mystery he relied on his other senses such as sight and touch to navigate the world around him and select his victims it is also possible that nakamura's lack of hearing may have actually worked to his Advantage making it easier for him to approach people without being noticed he may have used his disability as a way to gain sympathy or appear non-threatening to his victims whatever the case may be it is clear that Nakamura was a master of avoiding detection and getting away with his crimes and it would only be a matter of time before he struck again leaving a trail of blood and Terror in his wake on August 18 1941 say Saku nakamura's thirst for violence and power led him to commit another heinous crime he had reached the age of 17. and this
time he set his sights on two unsuspecting women in the same way he attacked the women attempting to stab him to death one of the two women died on the spot in a pool of her own blood while the other was fortunate enough to escape the deaf killer she managed to survive despite being Gravely injured just two days later on August 20th three more people were found and murdered the bodies were discovered in the same gruesome condition as the previous victims stabbed multiple times and left to die in pools of their own blood whether or not they were all women is unclear and the worst part the police had a description of the suspect and were actively searching for him and they knew their suspect Nakamura they didn't take Extreme Measures when focusing in on Nakamura instead they tried to cover up the crimes put mud over the case in order to avoid Panic from spreading throughout the town they let a serial
killer walk freely in the streets by this point Nakamura had killed a total of six people and injured one how could the police have known who the suspect was and not take action how many more people had to die before they would do something about it
people were still living on the edge wondering if the killer was still out there Nakamura the man who had been in the police's site for the previous murders had been living among them all along and now on September 27th he had decided to strike again but this time his Target was much closer to home it all started with an argument between Nakamura and his brother the two had never gotten along and the tension between them had been building for years but on that fateful day something snapped inside Nakamura he pulled out his knife and began attacking his own family Nakamura slashed and stabbed his way through his entire family leaving a trail of Destruction in his wake his father sister brother 's White and even his brother's child were not spared in his wrath by the time it was all over nakamura's brother lay on the ground the victim of his own siblings rage the other family members were injured
with multiple stabilities but by some miracle they were all lucky enough to have survived however it was too late for his brother the wounds were too deep he died right on the spot by the hands of his own blood in the news of what had happened spread through the town people were left in shock and disbelief how could someone do something so horrific to their own family the attacks aftermath left a scar on the town and the surviving family members that would never fully heal what's even more upsetting is the fact that the family refused to speak up against the killer the police came to their door and questioned them directly about sasaku Nakamura if they wanted to they could have outed him right then and there they could have Avenged the death of the brother however fear took over them and they kept tight-lit in order to avoid another strike on their family thank you on August 30th 1942 the deaf killer set
his eyes on a particular woman he set his vicious intentions and stalked the woman as she went about her day he even followed her as she made her way home the woman had a lovely family of three children and a husband she thought she was coming home and spending time with her family as she routinely did little did she know she had brought home with her a serial killer Nakamura broke into her home and tried to sexually assault the woman hearing her frightened screams her husband came rushing him and tried to stop the deaf killer from committing the heinous crime Nakamura did not appreciate the interruption and so he took out his knife yet again and stabbed the husband and his wife repeatedly until they lost Consciousness one can only imagine the horrors the three children must have gone through watching Nakamura take their parents lives they must have been terrified however being young they did not know what to do
they could not run they could not hide from the monster Nakamura found them and repeated his stagnatural move on three innocent Souls however he only stabbed two of the children he left the youngest child alive who was a girl but for a reason to fulfill his dark ghastly desires he tried to continue his earlier Mission and attempted to assault the poor little girl sexually however for some unknown reason Nakamura paused Midway and decided to flee the scene the ruthless killer could not hear the cries of his victims due to his disability he could not cure how much pain they endured in their final minutes but something ticked in his brain and he let the little girl go she was the only Survivor in the family the little girl was scared for her life she had witnessed her entire family being killed in front of her eyes and the killer had tried to take sexual advantage over her from being a Young
Man known for his Integrity in the community seisaku nakamura's jury took a dark and terrifying turn death he had the potential to be an inspiration to me but instead he Unleashed A Reign of Terror how could someone so young and seemingly innocent unleash a series of horror upon his fellow human beings that too his own blood it was a question that haunted the nation for years to come the town was not only dealing with the fear and Trauma of the murders but also added the pressure of the ongoing War the authorities were worried that the news of the gruesome killings would cause even more chaos and unrest amongst the population so the information about nakamura's crimes was kept in the wraps which allowed him to remain at large for much longer than he otherwise would have this decision was not without its consequences as the killer continued to wreak havoc and leave a trail of Destruction behind him as the body count
continued to raise the people of the Town began to fear for their safety and pleaded with the authorities to do something to catch the perpetrator however despite Nakamura being a suspect they had limited information and no leads the police were unable to apprehend the Killer and bring him to Justice nakamura's family were aware of his involvement in the murders but they were too afraid to come forward and speak against him they feared that if they spoke up they would again become targets of his violent tendencies and face retribution for betraying him it wasn't until much later after the war had ended and the situation had stabilized that the full extent of nakamura's crimes became known The Tao was left reeling from the Revelation that they had been living with a monster and many wondered how they could have been so blind to the evil lurking in their midst
so how did he finally get caught remember the little girl he let go well luckily she came out and testified against the ruthless killer when the police reached the scene they found the terrified little girl she provided them with the details of what had occurred and gave them a physical description of the killer through her details the police were able to pinpoint the hammer Matsu deaf killer they already had their eyes on him now they had a witness they figured that his family refused to give up the details of who attacked them because the killer was right in their home they finally set out to find and capture the young killer stopping him in his tracks the arrest of say Saku Nakamura on October 12 1942 marked the beginning of the end of one of Japan's most notorious serial killers his crimes sheer brutality and senselessness had sent shockwaves through the community and the authorities were determined to bring him
to Justice the charges against him were staggering he was charged with nine counts of murder that is nine victims whose lives he had brutally snuffed out on top of those saisaku also admitted to two additional killings the first two women that he had killed after the attempted assault however the police could not gather enough evidence or testimony for that first case so he was not charged with those two murders yet there was more to the story than meets the eye the fact that he had committed his first murders while he was still a minor they were excluded from The Trial but even these two murders excluded the weight of the remaining seven murders was enough to ensure that say Saku would face a trial that would change the course of his life forever sasaku's trial was concluded under the wartime law a strict set of legal codes that allowed for Swift and severe punishment of those accused of crimes during times of war
the prosecution had a strong case against him with evidence that linked him to the crimes however the doctors who examined say Saku claimed that he was not guilty by reason of insanity they argued that his deafness and the constant mistreatment he had suffered from his family in society had driven him to commit the crimes they tried to make him out as deranged in the court a man who could not control himself say saku's arrest was only the beginning of the tragedy that would unfold the verdict was a crushing blow to his father on November 11th just a few weeks after his son's arrest say saku's father fumi Sada Nakamura committed suicide unable to Bear the four of what his son had done he drowned in the shame that his son's actions had brought upon the family and left say Saku alone to face his fate the judges did not fall for any claims by doctors that say Saku Was Not Guilty by reason of insanity so he was
tried as an adult and sentenced to death the day of nakamura's execution was a solemn one Town gathered to watch as the monster who would cause them so much pain was put to death some cheer While others wept knowing that the loss of life could never be fully compensated for the 19 year old say Saku Nakamura was hanged soon after the trial the rapidity of the trial and execution was a testament to the severity with which his crimes were viewed and the desire to ensure that Justice was swiftly served nakamura's reign of terror had come to a close but the scars he left behind would linger for years to come his victims and their families were left to pick up the pieces his actions had shaken the town to its core and it would take time and healing for them to recover from the trauma that they had endured the story of say Saku Nakamura is a tragic one a reminder of the darkness that can lurk in even the
most unexpected places it also highlights the danger of neglecting and mistreating individuals who are different from ourselves it is a reminder that we must strive to understand and accept individuals regardless their differences and to provide support and empathy to those who may be struggling his isolation and mistreatment drove him to seek soulless in violent films where he found a sense of power and control that had always eluded him Robert Keller mentioned the case of say Saku Nakamura in his book Asian monsters 28 terrifying serial killers from Asia and the Far East he noted how most often serial killers are fueled by a world of fantasy in sasaku's case this was his attraction to the samurai culture he enjoyed the power of swords and watching people being slaughtered the publication of the book youth crime in pre-war Japan in October 2007 wrought renewed attention to his case and served as a stark reminder of the
dangers of unchecked violence and isolation the story of say Saku Nakamura stands as a warring to all of us about the fragility of human nature and the consequences of unchecked Darkness the chilling tale of this once promising young man turned serial killer will forever be etched in history thanks for tuning in to Twisted Minds that was the case of say Saku Nakamura and why don't you go ahead and click on one of the two videos on your screen for another one of our videos foreign
